Veronica Perenna has posed:
In the shadow cast by Obsidian tower on an average building, a single orange spot illuminated the surroundings of its roofstops, with the same hue of the dawn. That was its role, after all: to bring a new beginning for Les Dessouhaits after two centuries of impotence, when a chance was finally presenting itself.

A tall orange and frilly lizard-creature, two heads mounted atop its neck, one an iguana and the other a snake, turning around with restricted pupils. The tips of its frills shine with vivid flamelets, and one of the youma's clawed holds a staff, ornated by many flowers of fire, ending in a recurve blade like a scythe's.

The youma was nervous, obviously, and it held its wings close around his body: even with its masters currently sealed, he did not want to find out what would happen to it if failure followed the end of the mission. But what stiffened its scales even more was the chance of a magical warrior showing up any second now.

Logically, many had to live here.

And yet, Obsidian Towers was also the best chance it had of finding someone with the power to corrupt people into monstrous semblances, if only it could figure out a way to enter without being regarded a threat.

Gabriel Agreste has posed:
A general sense of unease, nervous trepidation, and even outright fear was common in Obsidian Tower, and few were more intimately aware of that than Hawkmoth, who could, at any given time, sense these emotions. And yet, it was also simple fact that spending one's time in the same place, day in and day out, for years now (years, too many years, it had been years-) leant familiarity, even to the shape of the emotions and minds which generated them.

The fear which approached Obsidian Tower was new, and Hawkmoth narrowed his focus on that sense of a new mind, until he could grasp that the emotion was both a fear of failure and a fear of being caught, emotions he had become intimately familiar with.

...How interesting. Was this one of the those nosy heroes, making an attempt at invading the tower, or something else?

He decided to find out, making his way towards that general sense of fear, and making no effort to hide himself as he did, flying with Dark Energy's power, the wings of his new henshin being decided incapable of proper flight.

Hawkmoth is surprised to find a monster of some sort, but he doesn't let it show on his face.

"Were you waiting for an invitation?" He asks coolly, "Or is there something you seek from Obsidian Tower?"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
The tall lizard creature shivers as soon as It feels the approach of intense dark energy, way more intense than it thought it would meet today. For a second it thinks of rising its schythe, and try to send a warning shot to whatever it's approaching, hoping that maybe it could bluff its way out of this, but it feels that's coming from Obsidian Tower, so it stays put.

Both heads raise towards Hawkmoth, and it stares silently as it waits for the man to land. The flamelets dance more frenetically now, a strong contrast to the youma's perfect stillness.

Could it be a chance? It would be almost providential if the solution to its problems showed up this easily.

The youma shakes its head at the winged figure's question. The youma thinks, 'Did he avoid using his wings to show off his energy?' This questions, however, remains kept away.

"Neither. I just want to find someone who holds within the power to corrupt people", the iguana head speaks. "But it is in fact obvious that an access to the Obsidian Tower of Kokuyoseki would make it easier", the snake head continues, and then gives the word to its counterpart.

"Do you know someone? Or perhaps, can you yourself open the door of corruption? There will be much in it for you if you offer your aid."

Gabriel Agreste has posed:
Curiosity had killed the eponymous cat, but satisfaction brought it back. Hawkmoth will not be killed for indulging his curiosity, but there does seem to be the dangling option of satisfaction.

"The power of corrupting others may well be in my hand," says the Director whose primary power is corrupting others, "But whether or not you receive that information depends on what you plan to give me for that information. Who is your master?"

These are separate questions, but related: there are those outside of Obsidian who command Dark Energy, but they're rare and few in number. For one to have sent out a youma to seek a specific power is interesting.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
The youma nods slowly at the figure's request. Truth be told, it's marveling it already got this far without losing a limb. "I am Itzamna. My masters were known as Les Dessouhaits, and they once proudly extended the blessing of greed as far as magic could reach." It bows halfway through, still not taking its eyes off the man in front of him.

"A magical girl once stopped them and created a prison for all of them, but the chance to reverse it is fast approaching", the snake head explains.

"A woman, holding one of the relics of that odious Sarek, is coming to Tokyo. You only need to know that the relic is corrupted, just like a few others. This is the chance for one of my masters, Prophèteur, to be set free, and if you aid us, he is willing to offer you any one favour to speak of, and he will be bound to fulfill it to the best of his abilities."

The twin-headed youma smiles. "You only need to corrupt that woman, or find someone who can, and let Prophèteur take it over before the magic has run its course."

Gabriel Agreste has posed:
Les Dessouhaits - The Wishes, hm? The French would have been enough to catch his attention normally, but the name is intriguing. It could be an empty boast, of course, but a man like him, is never going to let that thread go unfollowed. The rest of the description that follows is intriguing enough that Hawkmoth is willing to land lightly on the rooftop. Tall, but not towering, he waits, bioluminescent seafoam eyes staring the two-headed youma down.

Embodiments of greed, sealed away by a magical girl, with the time to release them drawing near, and of course, there are relics, some corrupt and others, presumably, not? involved in the situation.

"Willing to fulfill a favor and capable of fulfilling it are not the same thing," he notes. "What power does your master Prophèteur command that would make him capable of delivering what you promise?"

Go on. Tell him, and he will tell you, Itzamna, how lucky you have been to find one capable of doing precisely what you seek.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Itzamna's grin only gets wider when Hawkmoth questions Prophèteur's skills, showing a full-toothed smile by now. It doesn't regard it as an offense, no, it must be an expression of his own interest. By now, he is confident this situation has turned in its favour.

"You should not worry. My master Prophèteur is vastly talented, and the most powerful general of Dame Nation. You should be happy to have him working with you", the snake head comments with a lick of the air.

"He can peek into the designs of fate, and bend them towards what people desire, showing them a path that will lead to the fulfillment of all the riches they could imagine. In front of that vision, nobody has ever been able to turn it down, and they have reaped many benefits."

He lets a few seconds pass, to let that sink in. Its flamelets are dancing quietly by now, and don't show many oscillations. "And that is only the beginning. When all four of them are free, they will certainly remember someone who gave them the chance to return to the human world."

Gabriel Agreste has posed:
The two-headed youma is right about one thing - these questions are an expression of interest, and as his master's power is explained, Hawkmoth does gain significantly more interest. After all, this, for him, is but a simple, easy affair, and yet, the power to manipulate others into enhancing their greed, ensuring they are more likely to bend to his whims...

That is most certainly of interest to his latest venture with Kyubey.

"Interesting," he acknowledges, and quirks his lips in a faint smile. "How fortunate then for your masters, that what a grand boon to them comes at such ease to me. Who is it you wish to see corrupted?"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Is this guy offering to find someone to help, or does he simply know where to suggest to others that could find it an irresistible project? That part is not yet clear to Itzamna, and it does not want to promise that much right now. Why should a random person that offers a guide be worth as much as the one showing the main way to freedom to Les Dessouhaits?

"Just a woman who found and kept one of the relics for her own ends. She is not really that important", Itzamna promises through the iguana head, giving a light shrug. "My master would normally reward her vastly for such acts of greed, but fate has chosen another destiny for her."

It's not going to be a happy ending for her, but they would still treat her with care afterwards, its eyes suggest really confidently. "She is currently preparing for a flight to Tokyo."

Gabriel Agreste has posed:
They are both being cautious, then, which, while reasonable, is of bother to Hawkmoth now that he is willing to at least explore this option. What does it matter to him, helping to free these spreaders of greed, if they can help with his goal, and push those he seeks to be more greedy?

"Clearly, fate has chosen another path," he says dryly, "I am Hawkmoth, a Director within Obsidian. If you are so confident of your master's powers, I would be willing to accept a favor from him in exchange for the matter of corrupting this chosen vessel."

Anyone interacting with a cursed object is bound to be in a dour enough mood for his akuma to latch on.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Itzamna steps closer to Hawkmoth. "So you were indeed one who could help us. That was a lot of going all over now that it's done. I will be sure to remark the greatness of our collaboration to my master. Yours is a miraculous appearance, and should be treated as such.

He kneels at Hawkmoth. "I am deeply grateful for the opportunity. I will be stay close and follow your services once and for all", Itzamna promises.
