- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
For those who followed Chibiusa into the future to save 30th Century Tokyo, the afternoon of their 7th day is a heavy one, burdened with regrets and disappointments. Though they have saved many lives and whittled away at the enemy's numbers, it's come at a cost - Mamoru Chiba and Masato Sanjouin have been severely injured by the Black Moon Clan, Chibiusa has been corrupted, and Usagi has disappeared.
The best that anyone can say is that things have been quiet since the not-quite-dramatic rescue of Mamoru and Amy from Nemesis.
But seven days it's been, and they have to return to the 21st Century, and their lives there. Not just for themselves, but because -
"The Black Moon Clan has returned to the 21st Century," Luna had said, eyes tired from scanning machines and running data, working herself ragged to avoid thinking of her lost princesses. "Chibiusa-chan is sure to be with them."
That's lead our heroes to where they stand now - a grand door within the Crystal Palace, one which King Endymion had explained would lead to the Gates of Time - to Sailor Pluto, the only one who could return them to the past.
The grand door, once opened, reveals an endless, disorienting space of white. It can't be properly called a corridor or a room - that would imply walls, a sense of distance, a sense of scale. It's simple... and endless void, that they can walk upon despite the lack of anything resembling the ground, and in a certain distance, a great, looming gate, guarded by a figure familiar to some - Sailor Pluto. But not the one they know.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
A certain goddess is in the background here, flirting with her girlfriend. A certain snow angel is probably doing likewise. As for Chibiusa, well... she's not here anymore.
Diana, however, is. The party has lost one daughter from the future, but gained another. The tiny kitten seems to have no trouble keeping up with everyone else, though she most certainly wouldn't object to being picked up and held by someone with a longer stride than her.
Again she stands at the Gates of Time. She's not unfamiliar with this place, but this is likely the first time she'll have ever gone much further than the door. Time travel isn't something that tiny mooncats do very often.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
It has, indeed, not been a particularly celebratory last day, though the lull in the assault on the Palace... is appreciated. But upon hearing that the Black Moon Clan has returned to 'their' timeline, Rashmi just... sighed, and hung her head for a moment. "...Yeah, then we gotta go after her," she says to Luna. "We'll bring your daughter back safe and sound, Endymion-sama... count on it."
She does, however, seem rather *startled* to find out that there's just a *door* to the Gates of Time -- she was fully prepared to say the whole invocation and everything -- but at least the white void beyond is... familiarly distressing. Taking a moment to look around, to find *something* to fix her brain on as a point of reference, she finds only the Gates of Time.
"Greetings, Pluto-sensei," she calls, once the group gets within earshot. Best to start with being polite, right?
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Saturn is here, with her glaive and all... and leaning on it, heavily. And likely being supported by a few other outer senshi as well. She'd been burning herself at both ends and the middle, trying to help heal, trying to fill the void where Mamoru had left, after he got hurt.
Chrono, well, he'd been doing research. He'd left information with the king, information on how to contact the TSAB, what to say, how to say it. While it was unlikely anything would ever get out, that any help would come... who knew, maybe?
Cure La Licorne was hanging with her little Mermaid, of course, going over the assorted notes she'd drawn up and gathered... Trying to come up with plans... Occasionally giving Amy a *warning* look after her recent... dabbling... with dark energy... And given Catra a grin and a smile at one point. No reason. Totally no reason.
For now, though, Saturn was resting her head on Uranus' side, one arm holding onto hers to help support her weight.
- Haruka Tenoh has posed:
"Why would they return to harass our world... isn't ruining one enough?" Neptune asked, when she heard the Black Moon Clan had returned to their timestream ahead.
Uranus shook her head. "I suppose when all you can do is destroy, it's never enough."
Hotaru was there with them, the taller blonde making sure to keep a hand free for the younger Senshi.
"In any case... let's go home and save it and save this one and kick butt." Uranus says, trying to keep a brave face, but she's been down ever since the Moon Family dissappeared.
"Oh, I was really hoping in all of this time she'd have put up a painting or something..." Neptune sighs as the familiar void around the Gate comes into view.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"I have," says the King, gravely, "every confidence that you'll find them. We'll be here." He inclines his head ro Rashmi, and steps out of the way, fainter than before, as the visiting mahoujin filter through the door. "Sailor Pluto," he calls, "thank you."
- Catra has posed:
Catra almost didn't show up. One might've wondered if she was planning to just... stay here in the future. Would it really have been that bad for her to stay? Lots of stuff to fight, nobody telling her what to do, and no particular need to hide who she is.
But also nobody she knows. And the person she specifically came for in the first place isn't here.
Still, she sticks t ohovering around at the edge of the group, with one hand resting on her sheathed sword (just in case, who knows if they'll get attacked at the last minute) with a deeply sullen look on her face. To say things haven't gone to plan is an understatement. The person she came for is now corrupted and running around with the people who've been trying to off her this entire time. Something in the cat's attitude is deeply and darkly broken.
But she's got to go back, so... here she is, basically following Rashmi into the white void that reminds her so much of a different portal, looking tense and ready to basically just burst into flames.
- Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura has been keeping herself occupied while there was a retrieval party going on Nemesis for Mamoru's sake. Turns out busting droids made for excellent stress relief, and there weren't much chances they would run out of them any time soon (to her added frustration). She may have invited either a certain unicorn or a certain childhood friend along if they wanted to come.
Besides that, she has also decided to leave the recipe for shell cookies behind to their survivors. Since configuring yourself as a mermaid is a thing in this world, maybe there is a chance the bubble flower grows somewhere here, and if it does, their fairies will probably appreciate it.
A penguin, an otter, a yellow mermaid (in a human form) are also here, though a certain orange mermaid is absent. She must be napping.
There is also a certain Princess of Sarek, who is no doubt flirting back with her girlfriend.
"What do you mean, they are back in the present?", Laura groans, almost facepalming. All this effort to get here, and now they decide the present suited them just fine? 'Pick one, and stick with it, really!' Probably what Laura is going to tell them after Chibiusa and Usagi are both safe and sound.
"I know, that's so weird", La Mer strongly agrees with Uranus, after telling Cure La Licorne if she wants to recover a bit in Grand Ocean before they commence what's hopefully the final butt kicking. She will offer Hotaru the same once she wakes up.
- Minako Aino has posed:
It had been a tumultous week of fighting, fleeing, flirting and more fighting for Sailor Venus. The flirting was of course just to help get her mind off the rest of the stuff, but at this point, there was little that could do that for her. Even as she said her quick goodbyes that little bit of amusement had fizzled out due to the serious nature of the situation.
They were going home. Without Usagi. Without Chibiusa. Though the others are filtering through the door she finds her feet halting so that she can watch and make *sure* everyone gets through first. That there was no last minute 'gotcha' from the Black Moon Clan attacking or causing issue or... Or Nemesis teleporting into orbit above the planet, or who-knew-what calamity might occur.
"We will get them back. There's no question of that. It's just a matter of time." This is offered to King Endymion with a quick smile. Underneath it all she DID after all believe it. She was just... aching from everything that had occured, and so had fallen into her role as leader and protector as much as she could.
The others would go first while she stands protecting their retreat. Those that were fine and the wounded alike.
- Koji Silvia has posed:
For someone who was perfect for going out into places and getting information... Koji was curiously absent for most of the expedition. Opting instead to stay in with the refugees and working on helping with keeping them fed, sheltered, and providing any tips he could give from learning how to camp outdoors with a dad who insisted on doing everything the hard way...
After helping Kaito assemble a means to help the more injured of the part-party assembled here, which was him mainly kitbashing seating pads and other things to make people comfortable while the genius handled the technical parts. And before coming here, he left behind a few of his things for Kaito-sama. Tools that could help build more things to help people.
Back in henshin and looking a little tired, he stares as the door is wide open, and the tunnel to the past is laid bare, he says softly, "Well... at least the Black Moon Clan is an us problem now. Give these people a chance to recover, maybe rebuild."
Standing next to Mamoru's hoverchair, he's looking at the machine, and silently praying that this won't be another multi-hundred foot drop like last time...
- Nephrite has posed:
Still very tender and propped upright by a decent amount of pain killers, Masato is quietly grateful his legs remained strong. Just able to be up and out of his infirmary bed, he's slow moving, and following along behind Mamoru's chair. He stands on a small platform on the back of it, riding with it, supporting himself as motorisation propels them gently along.
It's almost entirely pride that keeps discomfort from his features, but he doesn't bother to have a pleasant expression. His handsome features are drawn into a scowl that betrays a fairly dark mood.
It's a deep contrast to his auburn-haired counterpart, who-- despite everything-- has a faint smile as he watches the group from the large hallway doors. There's not a single hint of doubt on his face, somehow. To Masato, Koji, Mamoru, and Minako in particular, he offers a casual salute.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
The area around the Gates of Time is, as always, an apparently endless white void that defies observers any opportunity to find a horizon or even any frame of reference other than the Gates themselves and any things that might have been brought to this place.
By the time of the Neo Millenium, however, they'd apparently decided to make a hallway of sorts...one directly from the Castle, through the Mists of the Underworld to arrive near the Gates themselves.
As the party arrives, they'll see the Gates themsleves, followed immediately by the stern visage of Sailor Pluto stepping into view from 'behind' them, Garnet Rod leveled with a LARGE ball of energy already primed and ready to fire, "HALT! None may tresspass in this pla-"
And it's apparent the moment she sees that the King is with them, as her expression immediately softens and she comments, "...one moment."
Then she turns and fires the huge ball off into the void before immediately nodding to herself and walking back towards the group.
Her expression is a bit strange...complicated, even as she looks at all assembled before her until she finally walks over to the King, "...King Endymion..."
Another glance is given to the small crowd...a somewhat nervous glance as if she is unsure how to feel about so many people here, in this place she's charged to keep people AWAY from.
Before she can open her mouth to answer, however...behind her and also 'behind' the Gates relative to everyone a head pops around the side of the Gate to look at the assembled crowd...and it's ALSO Sailor Pluto.
This other Pluto, however, is probably more quickly recognized as being the one from the past, as she smiles at everyone before popping back, and after a moment the sound of a metal door banging shut can be heard.
Soon after, Sailor Pluto walks out from behind the Gates to stand over next to...herself.
A look of confusion crosses her face as she notes the significant absences, and good pair of ears can catch her mumble to her other self, "...okay, THIS is a bad sign..."
The first Pluto nods, then looks back to Endymion, "...King...I take it this isn't a social visit..."
She sighs and murmurs lowly, "...why is it never a social visit?"
While under normal circumstances, she might not have expected an answer, this time her other self is there to murmur back, "...I know, right? I mean, this place is awesome...why wouldn't everyone who knows about it want to come here all the time?"
Pluto turns to look at herself and murmurs back, "...I'm not sure if you're behing honest or sarcastic right now."
To which the reply is murmured back, "...frankly, neither do I."
The second Pluto sighs and shakes her head, "...if this group is here...I suspect it's because we need to open the way back..."
- Zoisite has posed:
Isamu lingered about the hallway doors as well, watching with a heavy heart as some of his patients begin their long trek back to their timeline. Of course, before this, he'd been fussing over Masato and Mamoru, making sure they were as comfortable as possible. Hoverchair was still made of metal, and padding wasn't always enough in his opinion. Blanket and pillow for the young prince, and a small green glowing lotus placed on each patients' chest. Just in case.
He gave all of them a hopeful smile and wave of goodbye before turning away quickly. No, no he wasn't about the cry. Heavens forbid. He had work to do, and not enough time to keep up with everyone that still needed attention.
As for Izou--or as he was currently henshin'd, Zoisite, he trotted behind Mamoru and Masato. Arms crossed, quiet and sullen. The news that the Black Moon Clan returned to their current time was not a surprise. Merely a logical step now that both Small Lady and Usagi were in their grasps. It made him wonder what would the next move would be. If they were considering in punishing their world...
Deep breath. I wonder if I'll get one more chance to talk to him.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"We'll be back, Your Majesty," Mamoru says from the chair, currently not prettier than Patrick Stewart as Professor X, because despite having wonderfully fluffy hair, he still looks like he went ten rounds with a dumptruck. At least he can talk without effort now. "I can still find them as long as we're in the same dimension, so-- we'll get them and come back."
He sounds... a lot more confident than he probably should. Or maybe it's exactly as confident as he needs to be to avoid falling into tiny pieces. Or maybe his faith is just that strong.
He reaches up and left-hand salutes Koji with a big bandaged hand, without touching it to anything. His right arm, in a sling, stays where it is. "Surprised you're not over with Kazuo bribing felines with licky treats," he says, and it's an affectionate tease as they go through the door.
He exchanges a glance with his elder counterpart as they pass, and Mamoru nods, and the King nods, and that's that. They've said what they needed to.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Mamoru's a bit too busted for his lap to be home a cat, particularly a fully grown one like Luna, but she walks alongside him, making sure to keep an eye on him and his floating wheelchair.
%...mostly because she's wondering if anyone realizes it won't keep floating once they make it back to the past/present.
"Pluto-san," she calls, looking at the Elder and Younger Plutos, "Please allow us through the Gate. Small Lady is there, and Usagi-chan may be as well - and of course, the Black Moon Clan are sure to be causing trouble for our home. I know this is not how things are typically done, but... it is the only way to save our princesses!"
She is bowing, front legs low, ears pinned back.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
He's King Endymion, he could technically order Pluto to--
"Please," he says instead, his voice quiet but strangely resonant in the dead space with the acoustics of nothing else. "For Small Lady, Sailors Pluto."
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Madoka has no inkling about the fate of the wheelchair because she's too busy managing her own fairies and making sure they don't wander off, but Homura is watching it and wondering.
As for Diana, she wanders a bit closer to Laura as she walks, looking up to answer her. "We aren't sure what they're doing back there, but they must still be looking for something. I'm a little surprised that they didn't come back here instead."
When she sees her own alt-mom bowing before Sailor Pluto, Diana glances at her, and then up at Puu, a bit unsure for a moment before politely bowing her head.
"Please, Puu. We need to go back for our Princess, and to stop the Black Moon Clan," she says, echoing the sentiment.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
It isn't the *greatest* of moods to return home in... but looking around, seeing all the people who dropped everything to go to THE FUTURE to help out a smol child... At least in soured triumph, Rashmi can take heart that there are *so many* people she can depend on to help fight the good fight. And even some she can ask to, anyway!
As Pluto mutters about social calls, Rashmi can't help but chuckle. "Honestly it's probably worth setting up a room to *receive* visitors, Pluto-sensei. The lack of a horizon kinda makes my lizard brain start rattling the bars and screaming before too long."
A wink is tipped to *her* Pluto, then as Luna petitions the Guardian for entry into the Gates... Something twinges in the redhead's brain. A moment's glance around, and her eyes land on Mamoru's chair.
Mamoru's *floating chair,* made from *Crystal Tokyo bodge.*
With a quick mental commant and a gesture, a circular Shield seal spreads out beneath the chair, set for *zero* kickback and anchored to Mamoru's position.
At least this way she can ensure he doesn't have to fall too terribly far, and Barrier Jacket strength means she could probably airlift him home!
- Koji Silvia has posed:
In henshin... Koji honestly cannot help himself as he raises his hand from where he stands beside Mamoru, having to sidestep as the shield appears under him to give it space to properly catch him in case the worst happens...
Looking around at the rest of the group, "So... Is this the kind of time travel where time keeps going no matter what time we're in, or is this time type of Time Travel where we end up landing back in Chateau de Chiba five seconds after we left?"
He then shrugs and adds, "If it's the former, we kinda need to all sit down and get our stories straight... and maybe lean hard on the school for support."
- Nephrite has posed:
With a sigh-- not too heavy, his ribs are still knitting together-- Masato grimaces to Koji's musing. "Well... If it is the former, and we claim international ski trip, at the very least, the injuries are self explanatory."
Which was a shame. He wasn't bad at skiing. But, for a white lie...
- Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura looks at Diana when she is approached, humming pensively at her answer. What could there be that they need, back in their time, she scrambles her brain in search of an answer. The only answer she can get is they are either after the Crystal Heart now, or they simply want to do a repeat of here.
The young mermaid kneels by Diana, petting her slightly. "I see. Maybe they haven't had enough of what they have done here", she muses grimly. "Why don't you get a lift in my arms? Should be easier than the ground", she tells Diana next, giving her a smile.
Laura looks at Koji curiously when he inquires about the nature of their return, wondering about the answer now.
- Catra has posed:
Catra does not, immediately, take her hand off her sword.
The feline enters this place with the aura of a wound up spring, with her visible fur standing on end. Also, there are two Plutos, which isn't helping her mood because she's pretty sure that's a violation of the rules of time and space, or something like that.
"...Whatever," she mutters under her breath, a complaint not directed at anyone in particular. Though she does, finally, manage to disentwine her fingers from her weapon.
She walks forwards, just a bit, and settles for foldering her arms over her chest.
"Look, I hate portals," she mutters, just loudly enough to be heard, "No offense, just... bad experiences in the past." Like, y'know, almost destroying her home planet with one. "Can we please just get this over with? We need to go back to our own time to save the Kid and some other people."
- Minako Aino has posed:
Sailor Venus flashes a smile at the future Shittenou she'd befriended as she departs to join the others. A slight lift of her hand is offered back, a slight wave, before she turns away. Back to her own time with the others.
She walks along with the others and pauses when the dual-Pluto's come out to converse with one another. This was a bit surreal.
"This is like that American movie, Tweaky Tuesday."
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Saturn gave a light yawn, nuzzling into the Uranus. "Mmmm... underwater nap sounds nice... please don't let the other healer get hurt..." she mumbled about Mamoru, her eyes closed as she walked. "Pluto-sempai... please... don't... be bossy and... drag out... this too long... I really... really don't... wanna stand up too long... I'm really... really... really really tired... I think I see two of you..."
... In her defense, she WAS really tired...
Hinoiri, admittedly, likely would take up that rest.
"Oh... and Pluto... they're likely going to need you to help another me find... get it... here... she can heal too and they'll need it when she up wakes... cause again do I can't..." she mumbled sleepily from Uranus' hip.
- Haruka Tenoh has posed:
A lot of the others have said a lot of what Uranus and Neptune would say. They have no doubts that they'll get them back or... well, they're just going to get them back.
And Uranus has also heard more than enough babble from Saturn to let her walk anymore; she just picks her and throws her over her shoulder. Less dignified than a princess carry but a lot easier to keep up for long periods of time. "Alright kiddo, I'm in charge of walking now." she says.
Neptune looks at the two Plutos and is amused how easily she can tell which one is 'theirs' in a sense.
"Well, this isn't the triumphant way I wanted to leave, but..." Neptune shrugs. "Just a slight delay in our itenerary on that."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Waitwaitwaitwaitwait don't leave without me!" Amy runs into the room, having recovered all her supplies plus whatever she could manage to take back -- most notably the history books of the King and Queen's reign -- and henshined, and is still dragging a big luggage bag because it wouldn't fit in wherever-her-stuff-goes-when-she-henshins.
As she comes into view of the time gate she stops, mouth agape.
That's a reaction Sailor Pluto is surely used to.
"...THIS was what was on the other side of the gate the WHOLE TIME?!"
...That, maybe not so much.
She looks back towards the palace, then into the white void. "Wait. But. But this hasn't happened yet... unless the Time Gate was built in the future... or did the door used to go to the palace on the Moon...?"
After walking through the Gate, she does turn and bow to the King. "Thank you for having us, your highness." She stands, smiling awkwardly. "I hope when we meet again it'll be under better circumstances."
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Ohh... thanks, Rashmi-chan," Mamoru says, seeing the glow and looking startled, then looking like he's got the dawning light of realization for what it's for. And then-- he leans his head back against Masato and closes his eyes.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
The two Plutos act in an odd synchronicity when Luna addresses one of them, both looking down at the advisor and listening before turning to both glance first at Mamoru, then over at Endymion.
Simultaneously, both of them are holding a Garnet Rod in one hand as they turn to look at each other before enagaging in what appears to be an entire silent conversation composed solely of them making expressions back and forth between themselves.
The comment about 'for Small Lady' gets one of the Plutos to give a sudden sharp look at the King before turning to her other self...and then they're back at it again.
This time the 'conversation' seems to be somewhat faster.
Finally, they nod in unison and turn back to the King, the two seamlessly swapping speaking back and forth between them, "Of course we'll help, King Endymion..." "...honestly, we've been working to get things set up for the trip already..." "...we just hadn't anticipated needing it this soon..." "...but apparently no plan survives contact with the enemy..." "...fortunately, none of the Taboos directly address travel between totally seperate world-branches..." "...mainly because nobody thought it was possible when they were built..." "...indeed."
At Koji's comment, the two glance at each other before the one standing near the King says, "...we could probably get you back five seconds after you left..." "...but you raise a good point, Mister Silvia...and we should probably aim to come back after at least a day or two so the rather altered states everyone here are in can be explained."
The two exchange a look, then smirk a bit and say in unison, "Even better, given we know what we're doing, we can probably get everyone back BEFORE our opponents arrive."
The two start walking over towards the Gates...but as Venus comments about American movies, one of the Plutos blinks and stops to turn and answer the orange clad senshi...only for the other Pluto to put a hand on her shoulder, stopping her with a headshake.
From there, the two bustle about for a short while, getting things ready and murmuring to each other before one of the Plutos walks away from the gates towards a large metal plate with various circles and sigils inscribed on it, "Alright everone who's going back...gather round me. Other me is going to use my connection to my instance of the Gates to push us back. We're about three yobs zornward from home...so with an actual calibrated help on this end this time, the trip should be VASTLY smoother than it was on the way here."
She waves at everyone, "Okay, so this will work best if we're all as close as practicable and all touching so that we count as 'one' thing for the Gates to lock onto."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"What? No, Tweaky Tuesday was about a bodyswap, this is another Pluto from an alternate timeline." Amy corrects, after processing Venus's words.
When (presumably their) Pluto calls them over, she waves again to those from the Future, and walks over to stand with the others, holding someone's hand or on their shoulder.
"...Wait, if it's because we're touching and it doesn't count the air, then why doesn't it also count the floor?"
It is possible that for maximum dramatic effect she gets travelled mid-sentence.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Being a cat and uanble to hold hands, Luna joins the circle by leaping up onto Uranus' shoulder, giving the Soldier of Wind an apologetic look - she is busy helping hold Hotaru upright, but, it's not like Luna weighs very much! She's a very conscientuous cat.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Diana looks up at Laura with a smile and says, "Please!" and then jumps into her arms the first chance she gets.
Look, small kitten has a small stride and it's a long walk back to the past. Plus, La Mer smells nice. So yes, she gets to hold the small soft kitten for now. It's a good thing too, since gathering close together is apparently what's needed right now.
In the background, the fluffy pink goddess does not need to be told twice that it's group hug time.
The snow angel is all too happy to hold hands, especially with the catgirl phantom thief.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
When Catra brings up her dislike of portals, Rashmi purses her lips for a moment, then marches to Catra's side, taking hold of the Etherian's arm and physically tugging her toward the indicated Pluto. "C'mon," she says quietly. "Best time to have friends around you, is when you're not feeling great, yeah? I trust her, and I got you."
With that, she makes sure the Shield is still underneath Mamoru's chair, watching the wounded Prince and his coterie for a moment.
"Okay," she breathes, as the others gathered. "...But what if we overshoot and end up six plorbs tef-ward of where we want to be?"
...It is entirely possible Chrono's humor may have rubbed off on her. Or she has actually been studying trans-temporal mechanics.
...One of those is more likely than the other.
- Koji Silvia has posed:
There's just a nod from Koji as he steps in closer to Masato/Mamoru and the chair, and takes a breath as he looks at the Portal. The answer to his question doesn't seem to set him at ease, but he does look towards the Plutos for a moment as if considering asking them other things... and then there's that slight downcast to them of resignation that if he did ask there would be no answer to satisfy him. Instead, he squares his shoulders, and says towards where Masato's counterpart Kaito is, "Take care of your grandmother. She's important, no matter where or when she is."
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Saturn was.... possibly actually sleeping standing up, at this point, her head on Uranus' hip, lightly snoring, the silence glaive teetering drowsily on the other senshi's shoulders. At least it had the safety lock on, so it couldn't like... break anything other than like... whatever it fell on. And even then, only if what it fell on was particularly delicate.
Meanwhile, Hinoiri just gave Catra a comforting smile. Trying to encourage as she could. It'd be fine, they were all doing this together, after all.
And Chrono, meanwhile, was... working. Of course he was. Rashmi could see his hands moving through the air. Preparing to leave, his hands moving through the air, he was likely doing some last minute adjustments on... who knew what, before they left, tryin to make sure everything was perfect in preparation for their travel...
- Nephrite has posed:
Sapphire eyes linger on Mamoru for a moment, the Prince's head still leaned back against Masato gently. He's certain that the battered Mamoru has slipped into sleep again, the green lotus on his chest and the copious medications easing the trip.
As Koji steps closer in, Masato lifts a hand to the other's shoulder. All three of them in contact, and thankfully supported by Rashmi's magic when the chair craps out. Skiing trip mishaps, it is.
From the doors, Kaito sends Koji a wink, his hands pocketed and fondness in his eye. "I'll make sure she doesn't get into any trouble. Thanks again, for all your help-- and the toolset." It's clear that he's going to miss the company, leaning against Isamu with a grin. "You all better look after each other."
- Zoisite has posed:
By this point, Isamu's eyes were glassy, a sniffle offered as he gave another look to the departing group and did his best to not cry yet. Not yet. "Yes, you better!" Especially because none of them would be there to look after them.
His gaze then drifts to his other self, and how isolated the figure seemed out of one's own preference. There was some worry, a turbulence he could recognize but one he could not address at this distance. Probably never unless they got another chance to meet again--
Stars, the thought of never getting to see this group gripped his chest.
Zoisite stepped closer to Kazuo, closing the distance between him and the others. He wanted to at least he around his own as they returned. Whatever story was decided, he's use. It wasn't the priority in his mind. They just needed to make it home. And all he wanted was to take a very, very long, hot bath.
- Catra has posed:
After initial bristling, Catra gives way and allows herself to be tugged into position by Rashmi. Her ears are flattened against the sides of her head and her tail is very definitely not acting happy, either; not that anyone would need these cues anyway, she's wearing that tension in her muscles like it's a badge of honor (or perhaps a medal of valor might be a better term).
"...Wait, what do you mean overshoot and end up, whatever that was you said?" she demands of the redhead. "Are you talking overshoot in time and we go back to Fuedal Japan? Or are you talking Overshoot and we end up standing on the surface of Mars or something?"
Yes, Catra knows what Mars is and where it is, she read about it. The Obsidian library had books in it. Real ones. And she's not a 'schollarr' like Adora.
"Look let's just get--" she pauses. "Let's just get back. The future sucks and I want sushi. And then we have to figure out how to get the Kid back."
- Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Uranus turns back to smile at Kaito. "That's something you can count on." she says.
The two Outer Senshi easily reach their hands out to unite with each other and then further allies; Uranus has no issue with her new additional shoulder-cat, and in fact she rather enjoys it. "It's no trouble." she says to Luna.
"If we overshoot we'll just try again, I guess." Neptune says carefully. "But I have faith in two Sailor Plutos getting this right." she says, smiling at the two of them.
"We'll figure out where we've been... probably with some help from the school's Headmistress. Best to not give clues until we have a story." Neptune advises.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
While Sailor Pluto waits for everyone to gather in close, she turns to Rashmi, "That's why we've been rigging up a Tannhauser Array to keep targeting precise...besides, we're at least partially just riding the sympathetic connection between myself and my Gates."
Pluto then blinks and quickly uses the Garnet Rod to tap a few places on the metal plate, causing some symbols to light up slightly. Nodding to herself, she then looks over the assembled group's heads and calls, "CO-ORDINATES LOCKED! WE'RE READY ON THIS END!"
The distant Pluto calls back, "VERY GOOD! Firing in TEN!"
Pluto then nods and looks around at everyone, "...counting down..."
She starts nodding in time, "...ten...nine...eight..."
The circles below burst into brilliant light, "...seven...six...five..."
Pluto takes a deep breath, "...a quick warning...from what I gather, this is going to feel rather unpleasantly like being drunk...four..."
At this point, several people might assume this is referring to feeling like being in a state of intoxication.
Those who know her better and/or have read the right book will realize that she's quoting Ford Prefect and the next two lines are 'What's so unpleasant about being drunk?'...to which the response is, 'ask a glass of water.'
And then Pluto ends the countdown, "...thrEE...TWO...ONE...ZERO!"
And on 'ZERO' there's a brilliant flash of light followed immediately by a sensation that indeed does feel unpleasantly like being drunk in the 'glass of water' sense.
And then, when everyone gains the ability to see once again, it's apparent that everyone is standing in the middle of the Infirmary at Radiant Heart academy.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Diana watches from the arms of her new mermaid friend as the group gathers together for the big jump back. She actually did get the glass of water reference because... well, look at who she grew up around.
Madoka and Laisa did not get the joke, but they get it on other end. Homura looks down at her Soul Gem just to be safe. Seems fine.
Diana's head swivels from side to side as she notes, "Well... if we were going to take our wounded somewhere..." Curious headtilt. "Is this what hospitals look like in the past? I thought they'd be roomier."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Rashmi absently pats Catra's hand, chuckling. "I'm actually never really sure if she's just making mouth noises when she talks like that, so... I really, really doubt they'd miss *anything* with two people who collectively have almost thirty millennia of experience between the--
*zung*
The *worst* part about being poured across the fractally-branching hypercontinuum of realities? Really *is* the sudden stop at the end. Rashmi turns rather visibly green, turning away from the group -- quick check on location, looks like the school's Infirmary -- and finding a bed to just sort of prop herself up on and wait for her stomach to *stop* looking at recent experience and going 'I can do that too!'
"Uuuuuuuuugh... Setsuchan's... the school nurse," she says shakily. "Better... than a hospital. Nobody's gonna... uuugh why... ask questions."
- Koji Silvia has posed:
Maintaining one's cool is an art form. It requires poise... confidence... and an iron stomach. None of which you have when reality goes the way of Salvador Dali's The Persistence of Memory.
So it's no wonder that Koji just falls to his one knee for a few moments, panting under the half-mask to catch his breath, his brain trying to parse seeing everything and nothing from that many ways at once. Looking up towards Masato, Mamoru, and Zoisite, he then has to push up and move back as the mobile chair that was keeping Tuxedo Mask comfortable for the road home just... collapses... and then with a squealing little puff, it not only gives up the ghost, but then sighs and the components of it that were put together using the futuretech version of duct tape just begin falling apart into a pile!
Naturally, he goes to catch one arm of the unconscious Prince before he can end up dropped on it, making use of his Barrier Jacket's enhanced strength function.
This does not help Setsuna with the fact that there is a pile of unusable and cluttery Crystal tech now just piled in her normally clean and well-kept infirmary...
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Splat. Clang.
Annnnnnd down goes Saturn. And the silence glaive. K. O.
Cure La Licorne stays standing, at least, her hand gripping the bed, taking deep breathes. "H-hate... being human... oh wow that feels *so* much worse as a human..." she mutters..."
And well, Chrono?
"Huh... haven't done that method in a while, drunk, neat..." he mumbled, before returning to his work. "Seems to be a class four time warping..." he mumbled under his breath. "Communicates primarily through what she calls memes..."
- Nephrite has posed:
Between multiple efforts, Rashmi and Koji, and Kazuo's bubbling of the battered Prince for good measures, the chair's demise doesn't come at too much expense for Mamoru.
Masato, almost the instant that time travel stops encouraging his stomach to upturn, has stepped off the back of the chair and stumbled some. With a wince, he's more or less grabbed onto Zoisite to support him now, almost having taken a knee too. Holding a hand to his torso.
The pain did make it to his face now, but they appear to be home in one piece-- it's a good thing Hotaru won't hear his cursing.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
About a half-second after Pluto references the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Amy's face lights up and she starts laughing, her slightly cackle-ish laugh at a joke that surprised her.
And then...
"Iiich..." She looks a little sick, but holds onto her lunch. "...Oh. That's what that feels like. Like. I dunno how else to describe it, but yeah."
Beat.
"...When are we? Or should I find out by going outside and asking for a newspaper, which will definitely make me look like a time traveller because who at this school reads the newspaper?"
"...To be clear I mean like, the plan to come back with a few days' difference, I don't expect we landed in the wrong year or anything."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"It's been one week since we departed," Luna confirms, having checked on her communicator the instant they were settled in the past. "So it seems that for us, at least, the transition in time was consistent. We won't know for sure what that means for our enemeies until they arrive - they did not have the Soldier of Time personally guiding them, let alone two of them."
Mamoru has been safely caught by multiple people, so Luna smiles at her alt-daughter instead, answering her question in elaboration of Rashmi's points.
"This is fairly advanced for a school infirmary, but hospitals in this time are somewhat like this. They aren't as comfortable as the infirmary in your time, but this is indeed a very private space."
- Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Uranus and Neptune do both stagger at the lurching of reality that plants them in their housemate's reasonably familiar school infirmary, which is probably in some ways a better choice, at least, than said house. But they recover quickly.
Neptune's hand reaches out quickly but gracefully to catch the glaive - there's just a moment, a second, of fear about it. Uranus catches Saturn in her arm. The two of them are clearly worried about their charges as much as their lunches, which is a lot in both places.
"Feels like everything moved and not you, which your body isn't used to." Neptune advises by way of keeping her mind off it.
After setting Sailor Saturn down gently on a hospital bed - and the glaive resting near it - Neptune pulls out her phone. "Yep, a week later." She confirms. "I'll go and speak with the headmistres... as soon as I feel confident in walking without being undignified. And find a place to unhenshin." she says. And in a little bit, she'll walk mostly-normally in such a direction.
- Zoisite has posed:
His eyes shut when the countdown got to zero, trying to spare his vision as much as possible. He could offer no assistance in shielding his prince besides being close by. That was all. He was no one with defensive tactics or shields. Merely a knife in the dark.
Once the brightness was gone, the sensation of dizziness wanting to cling to his guts like cheap box wine, it was the grip on him that brought him out of his concentration.
For a moment, he thought it might be Kazuo, needing his help. Instead, he was greeted with soft thick brown hair, and the weight of a man much taller than him needing his assistance. Which he still offered, no questions asked.
Both of his hands working steadily to guide the Star Seer back onto two feet, one arm draped over his shoulders to give more support, and his own wrapping around Masato's middle carefully.
None of the Shitennou would be falling today.
- Catra has posed:
"That..." Catra looks like she's going to empty her stomach right there; luckily for her and everyone else she hadn't eaten yet today. Or, rather, in the past twelve or so hours. Look, the food in Crystal Tokyo sucked, okay?
"That's like when Glimmer teleports me except amazingly worse," seh grumbles, collapsing to sit on the side of a bed and clutch her stomach. For a couple of minutes, she just sits there, engaged in a battle of wits between brain and belly; and eventually she swallows audibly, refraining from spewing a mouthful of bile and choking it all back.
This time, the brain wins.
Of course, there are certain problems with returning to this time; one of them being that Catra cannot just... be. She looks up at her reflection on the inside of a window, and sighs, a deep, drawn out expression of frustration, moments before she closes her eyes and restores her illusiary disguise.
Moments later, a deeply dejected Rachel Miller slips out of the infirmary and slinks away down the hall.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Sailor Pluto, for her part, seems unaffected by the trip.
Whether because of being better prepared, less effected due to being the guideline of the transition, or something to do with her intrinsic nature as the Guardian of Time is left unclear.
As soon as everyone resolves, she's quickly moving amongst everyone, helping those that need it onto beds, especially those several that REALLY need it.
She takes a few moments to assess conditions, and she liberally passes out small sparkly silver pills to anyone who looks like they're nursing any kind of pain.
In truth, they're just bog-standard ibuprofin covered in food-grade glitter...but in leiu of magical healing, it's far better than nothing.
Plus, between it's appearance, the belief of those around, and the magic of the placebo effect...well, it might be more than minimally effective.
At worst, it should take the edge off.
For the most part, she helps get Hotaru and Mamoru settled, "Once these two recover from their exhaustion, things should get better."
She glances over at Neptune as she departs, then she turns to Uranus, "Once she's back, you two should head home. I'll stay here and keep watch on Saturn and Mamoru...oh! Make sure Kaiju is okay. I'm pretty sure his autofeeder had enough in it for the week, but it might be about to run out...and I'm fairly certain he'll be a bit codependant for at least a few days."
With that said, she looks around at everyone left and says, "If anyone else doesn't feel up to making their way to their beds, you're welcome to crash out here tonight. I should have enough beds, otherwise be careful going home and come see me if you're still feeling under the weather tomorrow. Most people recover reasonably quickly from travel through the Blind Eternities, but a few people take a bit longer to settle."
