Lunchtime!
Date of Scene: 20 March 2024
Location: Cafeteria Plaza
Synopsis: It might be between terms, but people still need lunch! A few students chatter about prom over lunch.
Cast of Characters: Naru Osaka, Adrien Agreste, Ahmya Karashima, Yaling Yao, Bow
Tinyplot: Princes and Princesses Prom

Naru Osaka has posed:
School might not currently be in session, what with the between school year break and all, but a great many of the students live on campus. What it DOES mean is that very few of them are zipping off to classes right away, which makes the cafeteria as much a social hub as anything. Tables, chairs, food.. what more could students want!?

Naru is already settled at a table, she's even got a snack sized bento that she's ignoring in favour of the sketchbook in her lap. The coffee, however, she is not ignoring. She's a few minutes early for the time she was supposed to meet Adrien, but the light is better in here for drawing. It's not the nicest weather outside, rain showers are encouring plenty of students to hang out indoors rather than sprawl all over the grounds.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
It's the scent of freshly poured coffee that might alert Naru first to the arrival of the other coffee-lover in her life. Adrien stands behind her, leaning over just a bit to get a glimpse at the sketchbook she's currently enamored with. "What works of art are you creating today, Naru?" He greets with a little forward lean to press a kiss to the top of her head in greeting.

A sideways step brings him to a seat next to her after, and a bento of his own (a fairly larger one) is set down while the coffee is drawn up for a quick sip of the much needed brew. "Sorry if I'm late. Had a small cheese emergency."

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
Today, Ahmya was ... actually just wearing the school uniform! Though as is one of her common habits, she was wearing a pair of geta, so as she walked in the cafeteria there was the soft tapping of wooden footsteps that seemed to ring out over the general din with each of her steps.

Carrying a small tray of cafeteria food, she'd opted to get some nice curry with a few packets of various breads, having calmly navigated the usual battlefield around getting the good breads first. Spotting Nara, she walks closer to her with a soft smile on her lips. "Ah, Osaka-san, Agreste-san, it's good to see you again." She says, setting down her tray and reaching into her bag to pull out a small can of green tea, popping it open and setting it on her tray.

Shortly after setting down, she'd grab a couple of chocolate-filled sweet breads and push them towards the two. "These should be good with coffee, since it seems that you might be disinterested in a bento at the moment." She says bemusedly towards Naru.

It's times like these that one might forget that she's weird.

"Cheese emergency? Do I want to inquire into the details, or is it something rather troubling?"

Yaling Yao has posed:
Yaling has very much the look of someone who wishes she needn't have moved from her dorm room today. Just like all days in which the weather is damp and chilly. There is nothing that works better at draining her of the usually boundless energy she shows to others.

She is bouncing back now that she is indoors, and most importantly protected by the school's AC, though she is still not quite there yet. The green-haired moves towards the counter, first grabbing a tray and lethargically surveying the food.

The snake coiled around her nack pushes her head slightly against Yaling's neck, as if to offer her some encouragement. Soon it will be spring, and the weather will be much better, she would say, were they alone. After petting BaiBai in return, Yaling grabs a plate of fried calamari accompanied by spicy marinara sauce and ginseng tea. The latter would help her recover faster.

Heading towards one of the groups of students present in the cafeteria that are currently discussing of cheese emergencies, she waves slowly towards them, asking "Mind if I sit here?"

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste looks up when Ahmya joins them with a warm and welcoming smile. "Naru usually only nibbles her food. I think she has a reverse tapeworm," he jokes, "That feeds her off of coffee alone." He grins the whole while, and leans over to gently nudge Naru's side with his arm to show he's teasing. He tries to time it so that he's not accidentally ruining her drawing with the motion though.

"Thank you though, I do like bread. It's different here than in Paris. It's usually crusty there--Which is excellent! But the soft and chewy variety they have here is really nice, too."

Chuckling he adds, "Ah, not a real emergency. My friend's cat got into a pack cheese and ate it all. Bit of a stomach ache but he'll survive."

When Yaling approaches and asks to join he gestures with his free hand in an open sweep of the chairs. "Of course, feel free! I'm Adrien Agreste," he offers by way of greeting.

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Of course!" Ahmya says towards Yao as she approaches, giving the woman a small smile, turing her head so she can get a look at the girl /after/ she already says that, regardless of if Yao is on her bad side or not. That's honestly just how Ahmya is. "You can sit here that is, not that I mind that you sit there. Those kinds of questions are so weird to answer." She says with a chuckle.

"Ooh... that's a lovely snake you have there. And looks very well tended to." She reaches into her bag and pulls out a small baggie that she keeps on her, little pieces of unseasoned pork. "Do you think she'd let me feed her?" Normally those were snacks for her own familiar, but she always carried extra snacks in case she encountered other animals that could use some food.

"A reverse tapeworm...? So like... it absorbs the coffee and then does a slow release into her body over time to keep her energized, living in a symbiotic relationship with her?" Ahmya muses out loud towards Adrien. "Those breads are really good for with coffee, nice to dunk and the chocolate inside gives a little bit of a mocha taste." She gives a quiet little nod. In spite of her teasing of Naru, she's already started to forget her own food while interacting with the others. "Oh! Right." She stands after Adrien introduces himself, dipping into a proper bow towards Yaling. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Ahmya Karashima, spelled as 'Painful Island of Black Rain'." Pause. "Actually my parents said 'spicy' but the kanji can also mean 'painful', so I say that as a little bit of a joke." She winks. Which since she only has one eye uncovered, is kind of like an exaggerated blink.

Naru Osaka has posed:
Naru is a touch slow in dragging her attention out of her sketchbook and leaning over to drop a kiss on Adrien's cheek. "Just sketching, I feel like I neglected my art all school year and now I can get back to keeping in practice." She laughs a little. "Did you find some cheese?"

Naru looks a touch rueful as Adrien explains how she's functionally an air plant. "I mean.. he's not /wrong/." She admits with a laugh. "I've never been much of an eater." Which wouldn't be quite so obvious if she didn't spent quite so much time with Usagi, who certainly makes up for her roommmate's lack on the food front. She smiles up to Yaling as well. "Please, do feel free to join us."

Her attention returns to Ahmya and she does reach over to snag herself a little bit of the bread. "Chocolate bread /does/ sound good. Thank you Ahmya. I'm Naru Osaka.. Usagi's roommmate."

Yaling Yao has posed:
"Thank you, Agreste-san", Yaling says, pushing the chair back with her leg before sitting and setting her tray on the table, the furniture scraping against the floor as she gets herself closer to the table. "I am Yaling Yao, nice to meet you." She spends a few more seconds staring at Adrien, wondering if she has seen him somewhere, before going back to her food. Unfortunately, as someone who was homebound for very long the chances of her having heard of the Adrien Agreste from France in any noteworthy fashion are very low.

"Is your friend's cat fine? Or are they still feeling ill after all that cheese?", Yaling asks, wincing slightly at the thought. "If it does, I might have something to help. My father tends to medicinal herbs as a profession, and he sort of passed it down to me." Also, having a mythical fairy known for her expertise on the subject for a tutor might very well help.

A small chuckle follows Ahmya's obversation, vitality springing back into Yaling's eyes by now. "I guess so, that's my bad. Thanks for having me, Karashima-san", Yaling says, starting to dip the calamari into the sauce. "Thank you, BaiBai is very dear to me", the green-haired girl specifies when Ahmya denotes the level of care. Even if the fairy is perfectly capable of taking care of herself, but that's irrelevant.

"Yes, she is very placid around strangers, so she would accept anything you would want to give her", is the reply Ahmya gets over her question. Meanwhile the animal is question has just been passively looking at the group with her honey-coloured eyes.

"Are your parents interested in the occult?" Yaling asks in response to the reading Ahmya gives of her name. "That's the vibe it gives, especially with the swap you made. My name instead means "elegant tinkling of jade", while "medicine" is what you get from my surname", she explains in return.

"Thank you, Osaka-san. Do you drink that much coffee because you like the taste or because it helps you stay energised?" she asks last.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste dips his head politely toward Yaling when she introduces herself properly. "A pleasure to meet you. The cat is fine though, he's just stubborn and keeps over eating on occasion," he admits with a little chuckle at the thought. He wasn't about to explain that the 'cat' was Plagg, his Kwami, but at least Naru knew who he was fondly bad mouthing. "He's just a glutton. Thank you though, I appreciate it."

Taking the bread that Ahmya had offered he tears off a little peice to dip into his coffee to indulge in it just as she had suggested. It's popped into his mouth to chew with a soft 'mm!' of appreciation.

"I'm sure there's some meaning to a few of my names, but I have over six, so I don't usually share them all," he explains with a chuckle of amusement. His head tips toward Naru to remark, "Not sure I even told you them all?" The thought is shrugged off.

"I'm glad you're focusing on your art. You always seem to be in a much better mood when you do, and I love seeing what you come up with." A small smile crosses his face as he asks, "Though if you can make some time for something else soon, would you care to join me as my date to the Prince and Princess Prom?"

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Oh! Right! I'm glad the kitty is okay too! I got so distracted thinking of a weird symbiotic coffee tapeworm." Ahmya says, playfully tapping her own head with her face, closing her eye with a playfully stuck out tongue in that 'wow how silly of me' kind of pose. "Ooh... I think you said it before but that's actually really cool now that I've met Usagi-san as well! Gosh her hair is so pretty, it has to take so long for her to brush it out. Do you end up having to help her out a lot of mornings?" She asks Naru in a curious tone.

She's definitely not thinking too much into that at all. Nope. "You're welcome, by the way. Sharing is the best part of friendship, right?" That and shipping, if you ask certain people. She finally does take a bite of her own curry. She was glad that RHA's food was so good, because while her parents happily would make food for her, she sometimes felt bad about it since she was basically an adult herself* now.

*She's not really anywhere near an adult she's only 14

When given permission to feed Baibai, she would gently hold out that small square of fried pork, slightly cold but still fresh and juicy; the little baggy kept in a little cold bag or something to keep it safe. She does pause a moment. "Oh, wait, you're cold blooded..." She gently rubs the pork between her hands a big, subtly infusing a little bit of magic into the pork to help her warm it up since just friction wouldn't actually do THAT much.

Once she was done she would then hold the now slightly misshapen pork cube out towards Baibai with an open hand. The question of her parents being into the occult gets a soft laugh.

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"My family actually runs a shrine to the group of kami under the umbrella of 'Ta-no-kami', kami of harvest. So not really, beyond the occasional accepting jobs to cleanse spaces said to be possessed by spirits or somesuch." She says with a small smile. "But maybe they were having a little bit of an occult phase at the time when they named me." Her one eye twinkling slightly. "...I do admittedly love the occult myself though, there's so many nuances to it. Like a lot of people assume it's a lot of curses and evil spells and stuff but there's just as many protective charms and blessings as there are curses."
Meanwhile, if Baibai comes towards her for the pork cube, she would gently reach out with her hand to attempt to give the snake a gentle stroke upon the top of her head, a soft smile and admiring gaze towards the snake. "Ah, so pretty... at first glance a pure white but when the light catches your scales there's so many other colors too... and such gentleness as well." There was genuine affection in the slightly weird girl's gaze, a clear love of animals in this one.

"...Six names???" Ahmya's gaze lifts from the snake towards Adrien with a confused look. "Why on earth would anyone give you six names that's just far too many names. Gosh learning to write your name must have been a nightmare when you were younger." She grimaces slightly at that thought. And she thought /hers/ was bad and embarrassing when she was writing it when she was first learning kanji.

Bow has posed:
Two names is enough. One too many for most of the people on his world. Six? Bow is ovehearing that as he has a tray of food and looking around to find a place to sit. "That's a lot of names..." he admits, especially when Ahmya verifies that he did indeed say six. "...I mean, there's a reason right?"

And apparently there's a snake, and Bow's attention is drawn to that for a moment - but also a promposal out of nowhere. Well, maybe not out of nowhere. But still. A bright grin as he hears it. "You know, I didn't think the idea was gonna take off when I proposed it. Glad everyone's in the spirit."

Naru Osaka has posed:
"How many names does one person need!?" Naru replies to Adrien when he comments about SIX names.. clearly he has not told her all of them. She reaches for her coffee, taking a sip to wash down the (undunked) bread. "That IS good, Thank you Ahmya."

There's just a little pause and then Naru leans in to Adrien again, her cheek almost touching his as she asks him quietly. "Are you saying that I've been cranky, my dear?" It's one of those questions that should be a whole lot of 'danger! danger!' .. although those warning signs are soon lost as she nods to him. "Of course, we'll make time to go to the Princess Prom. Even if neither of us are Princesses." She giggles softly. "Although you do have a paper crown!"

Naru turns to Yaling at her question about coffee "Both really. I do enjoy the taste, I appreciate the energy. Although there's some tired that even coffee can't help with, although it doesn't seem to keep me up at night, so I'm gateful for that." She smiles. "I'll drink tea too, but given the option, I go for coffee."

Naru watches Ahmya interact with the snake. "Ahhh.. not in the mornings no." She replies on the topic of Usagi's hair. "Sometimes at night if it's gotten really tangled, but I'm usually already either at the gym or at class by the time Usagi is getting ready in the mornings." Which says a lot about their respective mornings.

Naru glances up to Bow as he pauses by the table and smiles. "Hi. Pull up a chair if you want."

Yaling Yao has posed:
Ah, so the cat is fine then, Yaling thinks as she gives a smile upon receiving the positive news. "I imagine you can't open a door without your cat trying to slip in searching for food", she comments amused. At least it's a good thing that Adrien seems to keep his pet's weight under control. "No problem, and if you ever want some herbs, the herbs I have both reinvigorate and make great tea", Yaling offers when Adrien expresses his appreciation.

Having over six names admittedly prods at Yaling's curiosity. "Have your parents ever told you why they chose to give you that many names? It seems a bit of a waste when you can't even use them all." Maybe they all meant special things for the Agreste family, so they wanted those names there at least on paper.

Baibai uncoils herself slightly when Ahmya approaches her with the pork, only to move her gaze from the piece of meant to the girl holding it when she discharges her magic, the honey eyes staring into Ahmya's single purple one as if to ask a question. Whatever the answer, BaiBai would then gently nibble at it to get a solid hold on it before swallowing it and gently push with her head against Ahmya's hand in thanks.

"How deep is your knowledge on the occult?", Yaling pushes Ahmya further over the declaration of her passion. "I assume that you about many minor kami and the likes, right?" She is mostly inquiring to check whether she might have heard about Bai Suzhen, and whether she would eventually recognise the white snake's identity. Probably not. It would be a little silly to assume any white snake you meet is that white snake.

Yaling waves at Bow when he approaches, also doing a slight bowing with her head. "Hello there! I am Yaling Yao, nice to meet you, what's your name?"

"How far away is the Prom?" Yaling asks when the subject comes up. She decidedly perks about its mention. Mostly the enticing prospect of a social event in which she can meet many people, since that's the one thing she has been sorely lacking due to her homeschooling. That is really not so helpful for making friends. "I probably need to find an appropriate dress for it. I am not sure what I have would fit a princess theme."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste smiles toward the questioning of his many names with just a hint of embarassment. He ducks his head forward, rubbing at the back of his neck with a hand. "I actually have five middle names, so six including my first name. I'm not counting my surname," he adds with an awkward chuckle at Naru's surprise. "There's a few popular 'naming days' in France that fall on different holidays, and my parents wanted to keep celebrating my birth, so they kept giving me more names."

At least he doesn't have to rattle them all off as Naru suddenly leans in causing his eyes to widen at that potentially dangerous question. "No! Of course not," he begins with a little chuckle as he realizes she's just teasing him. His arm slides around her shoulders to give a fond squeeze. "Great! Looking forward to it."

Bow's arrival is met with a grin of relief. Another guy! Not that he minded but it was nice not to be the token guy all the time. "Hey Bow, join us. Of course it's a great idea. Oh, do you have a suit yet? I think you're more built than I am, but if you need anything, let me know. I have so many suits I rarely use." Chuckling he adds, "I made sure Chrono had a nice one for the last dance as well. I wasn't about to leave my roommate high and dry."

The feeding of the snake is observed but without any urge to reach out himself. There was enough crowding going on around the poor lil gal. When Yaling mentions not having appropriate dresses he suggests, "There's still some time before it, and it's kind of based on fake royalty so I'm sure you can come up with something that would suit you."

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
Ooh. Looks like Bow is the one who arranged the prom! ... Nice! Ahmya pauses. Hm. Eh it's fine. "Of course people are going to enjoy a function where they get to ask out their crushes or friends and go dance and have fun~. You should believe in yourself more, person who I've never met before." She says with a small grin. "I'm Ahmya Karashima." She dips her head towards Bow in a friendly manner. She was interacting with an animal, no standing up and bowing this time.

"Aaah, she's not a morning person I take it." Ahmya giggles. "I can somehow see that from how she was when I interacted with her. Though I suppose she was being a bit professional at the time." She gives a small nod. "...I think you might look really nice done up as a princess though, Naru. Your hair is such a striking color..." She muses out loud while thinking of the princess prom.

The gaze from the snake is met with a calm, warm gaze from the purple-eyed girl, absolutely no malice on that face, someone clearly just showing love of nature. "It's not too cold, I hope." She murmurs gently to the snake, gently stroking along the snake's head. The question of the occuld and kami gets a small smile. "A little bit, I only got into the more general occult more recently after an incident with a spirit. I would like to say I know a good amount about many kami, but mostly only about the harvest kami that my family worships, with mostly only a passing knowledge of other kami in the area so that I can show them proper respect should I visit their shrines. Anything outside of japanese folklore... is neat, but my knowledge of it is passing at best. Why? Did you have a specific kami you wanted to ask about or something? I would be remiss as a shrine maiden not to answer any questions you may have." Most silliness has faded out of her demeanor, to a more calm and 'I'm willing to listen if you need to talk' kind of aura. A somewhat business-like mode.

As she slips back into a more proper seated position after the gentle interaction with the snake, she slips her hand back into her bag. Hachi was jealous and gently tugging at the edges of her mind for a snack too. Luckily she was well hidden in the bag so nobody got spooked by the eye-spider. "Five middle names... gosh. At least most of the time you don't have to introduce yourself by your middle names as well unless like.. interacting with royalty or something where you might need to differentiate yourself from five other people named Adrien Agreste or something."

Bow has posed:
"Hi Naru!" Bow at least is good at remembering names. Even if they are people that he only met for a few moments before he gets drawn off by something else, in this case, a lead on Adora at the time. As he takes a place at the table, he has a nice little pile of food that he'll probably be working off later as he seperates out the dishes to prepare to tackle his appetite.

When Yaling makes her introduction, he offers up a cheerful grin. "That's a pretty neat snake you have there. Last time I saw one of those..." Well, it was 10 feet tall, very long, a cyclops and was testing Glimmer's resolve to be queen. Probably not the best comparison. "It's been a while."

But on to the introduction. "Nice to meet you, Yaling." he offers in greetings. "I'm Luke Armbruster, but folks just call me Bow. Because I'm into a lot of things that involve bows," he explains, "like archery, violin and presents." A quick grin at that, before Adrien catches his attention, and he shakes his head. "I'm looking for the time to go out and find one." he admits. "But I heard there was Sakura viewing this weekend, and I want to check this out..." he reaches into his carry bag and pulls out a leaflet, setting it on the table. It's an advertisement for AnimeJapan, with colorful characters, mecha and all types of stuff on it. "I'm hoping that if this anime event is a place where these things happen, it could help with my problem." he offers oh-so-cheerfully.

As he listens to the discussion about kami goes on... Bow looks a little more and more confused, a tilt of his head reminscient of a puppy trying to understand something. "Kami... is that what that is?" he asks, gesturing to the snake. And then he ohs. "I know a shrine maiden! Rei Hino. She's the maiden at Hikawa Shrine and a nice friend to have. She's helping me to understand the Shrine culture and I think her and Minako are cute together."

Naru Osaka has posed:
Naru leans in to give Adrien a squeeze and then drops a kiss on his cheek. "You weren't wrong. I do get cranky when I dont get to draw enough." She gives him an out there too and then pats his arm. "Bow's got more shoulders, but you can hardly say that either of you aren't 'built'." Naru points out as she looks between the two boys.

"To say Usagi is not a morning person is a grave and gross understatement." Naru grins, her tone wholly indulgent for her beloved bestie. "Generally I've gone for a run and gotten back and showered before she's out of bed yet." She smiles at the compliment to her hair colour. "Thank you Ahmya."

"What problem of yours are we solving at an anime convention, Bow?" Naru asks, curious. She's gone back to drinking coffee, in theory she should probably eat lunch, but there's coffee and there was even some bread! Air plant.

Naru smiles warmly at the mention of Rei and how cute she and Minako are together, but she doesn't comment.

Yaling Yao has posed:
The fact she she still has a lot of time for a dress is quite relieving to Yaling. She doesn't want to make a rushed choice on an event this important. "Perfect then, that's actually what I needed to hear." She somehow managed to score a date within days of entering school somehow. And the one that asked her out is definitely interesting enough to make her look forward to the event even without her other reasons.

"I don't think you know of this specific kami if your interest is primarily japanese", Yaling replies to Ahmya. She doesn't really want to get this far, but she doesn't want to lie either. "Well, if we really want to make the distinction, she is more of a shen, really. I have a bit of an interest in romance and think her story is kinda mean. I mean, she got cast away from heaven just for being in love with a Xian, would you believe that?" Yaling comments, the disconcert clear in her voice.

"And that is also the origin of my snake's name, from Bai Suzhen. Both her and the shen are white, and all of that", she finishes giving an explanation-excuse. "And she really is pretty", she addresses Bow lastly with a smile.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste leans over to give Naru's cheek a quick kiss. "I can admit when someone has more muscles than I do. It takes time to get that built. That's something to admire," he points out with a grin toward Bow. "Well if you want to stop by my room sometime I can show you what I have. Might need some adjustments, but the offer is open. Trust me," he adds chuckling. "I have more clothes than I ever need. Being a model means my wardrobe is kind of... Huge." Embarassingly so.

He snags the bread he'd been gifted, along with the still untouched bento. "Speaking of which though I should go back and check on the cat, just to be safe. I've got a shoot later today to get ready for which means a lot of prepping." A quiet sigh is exhaled, and he apologizes to Naru, "Sorry. You're welcome to swing by and watch if you want."

With that he stands nodding to the others. "Good to meet you Yaling, and good to see you again Ahmya. You too, Bow. Don't be a stranger."

Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Ah, Hikawa shrine. That shrine is a lot larger than my family shrine. Not many come to a little harvest shrine in the middle of tokyo." Ahmya says with a soft chuckle. "Still.... hm. Maybe I should make a visit at some point." Especially if her and Minako are cute together. Ahmya could always go for some cute girls being cute together! Hm. A sakura viewing with mecha though. That's a very interesting thing for sure.

"...Maybe she's not an 'until noon' person then." She adds to her assessment of Usagi with Naru's further extrapolation. "That's okay though, some people just aren't suited to mornings. I bet she's a great friend to have when you're having a late night problem or are struggling to sleep."

"Bai Suzhen... a chinese spirit, then. Yeah, I don't know much of them... but hm. ... I might look into her story later then." Ahmy says with a small smile. "I don't actually know much of the differentiation between shen and chinese kami though, honestly." She dips her head towards her. "Still, a little kami among us... hm hm~. Even more lovely, then." She slips her hand back out of her bag after giving a little rub of Hachi's head.

"If you need help taking care of the kitty feel free to call on me, Agreste-san. I don't have many plans after school if you need someone to watch them or something." That's definitely not just an excuse to hang out with and spoil a cat, not at all. Nope. She's just passing over the 'model' comments as well. "Good to see you as well, Adrien! I hope your shoot goes well as well." She says, taking another bite of her curry. Mmm. Tasty~.

"Ah. I should probably finish eating and get going too though. I had some plans for the second half of my lunch." Those plans might be going and hunting for bugs in the garden area.

Bow has posed:
"I mean... look at all the fantastical stuff." Bow says to Naru. "What couldn't you solve there?" he asks with a sparkle in his eyes, as he starts to realize people are leaving. "Oh, sure Adrien! I mean, no harm in looking!" Especially since if he wanted something new, he'd have to ask for a loan from somewhere, since he's not sure his new job will cover it. "I'll see you later!"

And then, Ahmya is leaving as well. "It was nice to meet you, Ahmya." he offers warmly, tucking more fully into his meal, since it seems the conversation is breaking up. But at least he's not trying to leave yet?

Naru Osaka has posed:
"I'll stop by." Naru promises Adrien as she gets up to go and deal with life and then her grin gets impish. "See what gossip I can stir up in your fan club this time."

Because there's nothing quite like the oddity of one's boyfriend having a /fan club/.

"Usagi has never been a morning person, and that's fine." Naru agrees. "It's just how she is." She smiles warmly. "She's a great friend anytime of the day, but I am biased. We've been besties since we were four."

Naru finally gets to her own bento, starting to nibble on it. "Take care Ahmya." She bids farewell to another of the lunch crew leaving.

"I suspect there's going to be a lot of people shopping for and trading around dresses." Naru comments on the topic of prom. "We've had a couple formal events at the school in the last year, so there's pretty stuff floating around for folks who aren't into shopping."

Naru looks to Bow and then laughs brightly. "Alright.. that's a fair point. Might be an interesting outing."

Yaling Yao has posed:
Yaling blinks as Adrien mentions he was a model. So that was why she was trying to pin down her look earlier! No wonder he looks like he takes care of his appearance very very much. Because he does! 'Hmm, I wonder how harsh the life of a model is', Yaling wonders.

But he is going away, so Yaling waves at him. "See you around, Agreste-san!" And then Ahmya leaves too. "I mean, a shen is a chinese kami. So, yes, my BaiBai and Bai Suzhen. But thanks for chatting with me, Karashima-san, be well!"

Now it's only Bow, her and Naru here. "So you are about to go to Prom with Agreste-san, right? Has he just asked you out, or have you been seeing each other for a while? I imagine that with a boyfriend in that profession, you both are going to look gorgeous!"

Naru Osaka has posed:
"Adrien and I have been together for a few months now." Naru confirms with a smile. "Although we were good friends before that, and a lot of people assuemd we were dating before we ourselves figured it out." She grins. "He always looks fantastic, but I am completely biased. Although as he literally looks good professionally, I suppose there's outside support to my theory."

Naru picks up her chopsticks to nibble a little more lunch. "Who are you going to prom with?"

Yaling Yao has posed:
"Oh, so that has been a slow-blossoming love", Yaling exclaims excitedly. "I imagine that it must have made the time both of you figured it out extra special. Who is it that proposed?", she asks with glinting eyes.

She grins over the matter of who she is going with. "Cho-chan. She has asked me out a bit over a week ago, and now I am trying to find an appropriate dress, as I said. I am also going to do a bit of figuring out, since we have just met, but she has been nice to be with, and that's why I am eager to see if we actually go well together."

Naru Osaka has posed:
"I find most are, honestly.." Naru comments with a little smile. "The ones that feel more solid, at least." She quirks her head at the question. "No one proposed.. we're not engaged. We're dating, but we're not planning to get married or anything. We're only fifteen, after all."

Naru smiles and nods. "Well, the prom should be a nice date then, as you two see how you fit together, and if you don't.. then there's plenty of other people to dance with and see if someone else catches your fancy, right?"

Yaling Yao has posed:
"Yeah, I totally let things getter the better of me. Too much romance manga, I suppose", Yaling laughs awkwardly. "That's what I meant. I don't think you are trying to get married now. So who asked the other first?"

Yaling nods at that affirmation, albeit she does it kind of half-heartedly. "I don't want to leave her in public if we don't mesh. That seems overly harsh, you know? And she has just been nice to me, so the least I could do is tell her after Prom is over. And she has really planned things when it came to asking me out, because she brought up the Prom first and suggested I might want to think about making plans with who to with, then I saw what she meant when I got back to my room, because her invitation was there as a letter."

Naru Osaka has posed:
"I dont remember which one of us brought it up first." Naru muses a little and then she grins. "I suspect it was me, even just in teasing him. He asked me out on our first official /date/ though, even if most of our friends were like 'you two are already dating, make it official already'." She gives a little shrug. "We both were interested in other people for a while, so it was a little complicated to start."

Naru shakes her head with a laugh. "I'm not saying some sort of dramatic break up mid prom, but you aren't chained to the one who you came with for dances or socializing. You can meet other people too and dance with them."

Yaling Yao has posed:
"So you had him on your mind for a while, I see!", Yaling comments, taking Naru's admission of teasing that way. "I think ot would have happened anyway then, even if your friends were the ones that gave you the nudge. You just needed the time to work out your interest in other people."

Yaling is left pondering Naru's suggestion. "I see, I guess I get what you mean. But I don't want to make things awkward between us, since we are bound to see each other a lot as fellow... students, too." The green-haired girl does a slight grimace then.

Naru Osaka has posed:
"We've been friends pretty much since he arrived at school. It was a slow burn towards something more than that." Naru flashes a little smile.

"As I said.. I'm not suggesting a big public scene, but just dont corner yourself off too quickly. There's plenty of interesting people here at RHA." Naru gives a little shrug. "But if I'm going to go keep Adrien company at his photo shoot, I probably should get going myself." She tucks her sketchbook away, and finishes up her coffee. "Take care, Yaling."

Yaling Yao has posed:
"Best of luck with photoshoot and boyfriend!" Yaling smiles. She is going to finish her calamari before getting up herself. "And take care, Naru-san!"
