Cast of Characters: Michiru Kaiou, Haruka Tenoh

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Tonight was a date night for Haruka and Michiru, but instead of them going out, Setsuna did while the two younger girls stayed home to watch a movie and snuggle on the couch. They've both been so busy lately, that while they see each other every day, they've had so few opportunities to really connect lately. Considering she already got to drive the Bugatti, what better way to additionally celebrate Haruka's birth week than snuggled up at home with her love?

Michiru is laid out on the couch with her head in Haruka's lap. There's a movie on--Haruka picked it--and Michiru is sorta paying attention. But mostly, she's just looking up at Haruka and smiling. "I'll never tire of this view."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka smiles as she looks down at Michiru. "You know, I was just thinking, I've seen this movie a lot - but I've never enjoyed it so much as when I watched it with you..." she begins, smiling and leaning back a little.

"But I also don't think I've ever paid such little attention to it... you're so distracting." she says, leaning down to play with a curl of the seagreen hair.

"Life before you feels like it was missing an entire palette of colors."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru smiles as she watches Haruka swirl her hair around a finger. "There's certainly more aqua in your life now than before," she says with a light laugh. She nuzzles her head toward Haruka's hand as if to say, More pets, please.

She's silent for a moment, and then says softly, "My life was very dark when I met you. You've been my lighthouse ever since. Helping me navigate the stormy seas."

Then she laughs lightly. "It's why I'm always looking at you."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
The silent request for more contact from Haruka's hand is easily granted, as the blonde dances her fingers through her loves hair and across her scalp.

"Ah, I thought I was doing good with the whole palette thing, but there you are wordsmithing better than I could." Haruka says, teasing.

"But I guess in a way we've met before, right? Just... not in this life so much. So it was more like... interruption." she says, softly. "We were soldiers. Then we forgot that. And now we're soldiers again."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Ah yes. They were (and are) soldiers. How could Michiru forget? Well, she died, and then reincarnated. It has an effect on the memory. They fought against all of the dark forces that threatened the Silver Millennium, and now they're doing the same to protect Earth and their Princess. Serenity.

Michiru's eyes close and she lets out a long sigh. "My dreams get more vivid night by night," she murmurs, her voice quiet. "Our battle is coming, Haruka," she says, opening her eyes and looking up.

"I just hope everything we've done makes a difference."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka chuckles. "You mean the big battle, right?" she asks, still playing with Michiru's hair. "'Cause I know you go out most nights like I do for the little ones." she says.

"I can tell you we already made a difference for at least one group of people. The girl who turned out to be Serenity - Usagi - and her guy, and his friends. They were working for the wrong team and that's all sorted now. And we played a big part in that." she says.

"Kinda feel bad about the fact that I killed him for a little bit, but. Hey. He got better. That's gotta count for something."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Leave it to Haruka to chuckle when Michiru starts doomsaying. The casualness with which the blonde approaches her foreboding words amuses her so much. She giggles.

"Yes, yes, it certainly counts for something. We need all of our allies for what's to come," Michiru agrees. Then she closes her eyes and sighs, leaning into Haruka's hand again. "We have so many. That's the difference I'm hoping makes a difference, when the final battle comes."

Then she whispers, "I just wish I could see her face. The woman in my dream. I wish I could figure out who she is."

Prophecy doesn't work that way, unfortunately.

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka sighs. "Yeah... I wish they could just... tell us what they want from us. Whoever they is. Or it is. Prophecy, fate, whatever." she says. "But we have to believe we'll sort it out. I don't think we can win unless we go into this thinking we will."

"But that's just me. I've never been one for doom and gloom, really. Sometimes we'll have to do hard things, make hard choices. Guardian Uranus tells me that, in my own dreams. The wind warns me, too." she says. "But they never waver on our ability to win - if we can do what must be done."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru snorts, a little puff of air shifting a strand of hair that lays across her face. "And yet here we are because we did not win," she says, drily. Then there's a pause. "I guess Queen Serenity did what needed doing."

Hopefully Usagi's up to that task this time around.

"Yes, well, it seeps into every little part of my mind sometimes, I think," Michiru says, of the doom and gloom. "When I see such horrible things every night in my dreams. It's hard not to worry, to fear."

Then she smiles and shakes her head a little. "She's so bright," she says quietly. "She makes it easier."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka leans down, lovingly moving the offending hair curl out of Michiru's face after the air puff.

"Well, you have to figure one of two things." Haruka begins. "Either we're up to the task and that's why whatever it is, is showing you the prophecies... or we're not." She says. "But as long as we try as hard as we can, we're going to get the best outcome that we can."

"It's like... we just have to give it our all - race as hard as we can - and trust in our team, in each other, and our vehicle - or I guess in this case, our powers. Then no matter what happens at the end, we shouldn't regret it. That's the only way to handle it."

"It's tougher when it's a question of morality, when we think it should be handled one way and someone else does another." she admits. "But when it comes to winning this fight we're all on the same side. Not just the other Senshi, but so many others." she says. "Just look at who we assembled to turn Hematite back into his usual self?" she suggests. "The array of people there was staggering, and it wasn't even everybody who helped in the end. The last time - it was just the others, they didn't even have us. Now they do. And so many more."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru takes a deep breath and lets out a long sigh as she just melts into Haruka's lap even further. She looks up at the blonde and shakes her head a little. "That's my hope, that all our allies will help change things this time around. That all our friends will help us do things we couldn't do otherwise."

Then she reaches up with one hand to touch her fingertips against Haruka's cheek. "Because it isn't always so simple as trusting in our team. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices. I fear the sacrifice required won't be one I'm willing to make," she says.

Because that's what she's dreamt. The only way to stop the coming destruction is for one of them to make a sacrifice.

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka pauses, visibly, and for just a moment she's quiet, then she takes a breath. "It's not a win unless we're together, you know. I think you feel that way too, but. I'm going to say it." she says, boldly. "It's either all of us or none of us - Setsuna-san, too." she continues.

"It's just not an option any other way. I don't even care if the Princess herself mandates it." she says, her tone stern. "Not that I think she would, but... it's the point I'm trying to make. My world only exists as long as you're in it."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru smiles, her face softening as she hears the words. My world only exists as long as you're in it. She closes her eyes then and rolls toward Haruka so that her face is buried in the other girl's tummy. She brings up an arm to slide behind Haruka's back and then squeezes.

It is the most awkward hug, but it's what she's got in that moment.

"I'm glad we're on the same page, then."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka makes a sort of happy noise, an almost un-Haruka like sound, from the awkward angle hug. And then she just takes Michiru's arm and holds it between hers.

"I wish you could have been there though. I mean, I know you were more useful to everyone helping find those seal thingies, but... it really was a hopeful moment, you know? Well, after the sad one. A whole emotional rollercoaster thing." she says.

"And now, I really can't unsee how she looks like Serenity... but also, how she's not the same woman at all. She's kinder, now."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru rolls back so that she's looking back up at Haruka again. It's easier to talk that way. She's just smiling. "We all had our parts to play. Trust in your team, right?"

She starts to sit up then. Not to get off the couch, just to snuggle Haruka differently. She leans against the taller girl's shoulder, her arms wrapping around Haruka's as she nestles in and actually looks at the movie for the first time in a while.

"Besides. I got my hopeful moment with her later. She really is it. I feel like we'll be able to face what's coming if we follow her lead."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
Haruka puts her arm around Michiru and snuggles her in further. "Yeah, but you know. It's not easy to do things without you. But it's so easy to do them with you by my side. Still, I'm trying to make sure I do get some time out on my own or with others. It's just not easy." she admits.

"Mm... I think... I think she's the right one, yeah. I think so. But. It's still easier to trust you, and Setsuna. She's... a good third, though." she adds with a smile. "And hopefully she's every bit the pricness she wants to be. In that moment, it was sure hard to disbelieve." she adds.

"Which is different than you, because I'm still trying to convince myself that such a beautiful woman is laying on my shoulder - it's much harder to believe some days. Even if the evidence is clear. Just seems impossible... that someone so amazing could even exist..." she says, and brings Michiru's free hand to her mouth for a soft kiss.
