Arrows Fall, Missiles Strike, Crushing Gravity, A Hero Punches
Date of Scene: 25 January 2024
Location: Pikarigaoaka Ward
Synopsis: A Witch is dealt with by a group of magical girls as they save Ula from the famelic creature known as... Gyuuki. Also, Kyubey is terrible, but good thing they have the Shinju-sama and the Taisha to look up to.
Cast of Characters: Sayaka Miki, Madoka Kaname, Amanda Faust, Hannah Steiner, Yuna Yuki

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Ula is by herself, floating for the streets of Pikarigaoka, lost in thought. The twins were busy with some schoolwork they had delayed getting to and she needed a bit of fresh air, so she just... snuck out. She hadn't taken a particular route, only taking care that the minimum amount of people saw her (sure, the Veil would patch her out, but she preferred not relying on it when she could).

That would mean going down side alleys for the most part and fortunately there really aren't many places where she is forced on the main road. The good thing will be able to reach Penguin Park, as by her location it doesn't seem it will take much longer and it's a good place to rest at.

Her calm is not destined to last however, as her surroundings start warping around her in a way that's all too familiar by now, the unclean walls of the alley giving way to what looks like some sort of warped museum, many vases exposed and writings covering the walls oddly full of triangular holes, almost as if they have been assembled together and no pieces could fill the empty spaces, but the former are too erratic to be interpreted, warping and contorting without rest, while the latter is the typical alphabet that is found in Witch Labyrinths.

She looks around, her pallid expression all too aware of the gravity of her situation. She knows the best she can do by now is trying to stay alive until mahous arrive, but she got lucky once. If she can really hope for the same miracle twice, she won't ever stray too far from Sayaka's side ever again.

Her worries get shockingly real one second later, as a chunk of the wall lunges at her, taking the form of jaws and the koi mermaid can only yelp as she narrowly avoids the deadly attack.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Gretchen is roaming the streets with Pikarigaoka with her fellow minidoka Medo. Madoka is not with them, but Medo has a tiny smartphone that she's using to text Brai. How do tiny Chara-sized smartphones exist? Same way tiny teacups do. Don't worry about it.

"You don't have to always hang out with me," says Gretchen, looking back over her shoulder at Medo.

"Huh?" responded the nurse Chara. "Wouldn't you get lonely? Anyways, you said there was a Witch nearby..."

The masked fairy frowns at her less corrupted companion, and then closes her eyes to better track the invisible trace of a Witch's Labyrinth. She points in a direction and then opens her eyes. "It's right over... there!" Looking at the entrance, her eyes widen behind her mask. "Wait... is that... Ula?!"

The dark fairy grabs the nurse Chara's hand and starts rushing for the Labyrinth. "Are you really rushing in there?!" protests Medo. "I haven't even told Doka-chan yet!"

"So tell her!" is Gretchen's curt response. "She'll come running if you explain it."

Medo whines, "Entering Labyrinths is bad for your health!" but goes along anyways. With her free hand, she fires off another text. Brai's response is quick. Hope Blossom is on the way. Gretchen, meanwhile, floats in front of the barrier and takes a quick, suspicious look around. She fires off a mostly harmless but still very loud and noticeable spark of Witch-like magic, just to draw attention in case anyone is Witch hunting nearby. Then, she dives in, dragging poor Medo with her.

"This is an unnecessary health risk!" complains the nurse.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amanda has been feeling kind of melancholy the past couple of days, and then today... Well, she's frustrated. She never understood why others always said being a teenager forever would be terrible; She was in the best shape of her life the first time, and the changes she subconsciously hated were, well, subconscious. But this time it hits different. NOW SHE GETS IT. Although, she has far more pressing concerns about whether she'll live long enough to even find out if that will be a concern with however Puella Magi work.

After classes, Mio is busily working on a report or something at her desk. Amy is sitting on the bed with her phone, when she remembers: She has a girlfriend! What's Hannah doing right now? She starts tapping out a text message.

Jogging, it turns out. Amy meets up with Hannah wearing a red pullover sweatshirt and grey sweatpants, and a plaid scarf around her neck and a red wool beanie. And she's clingy today. But she can't actually hug and jog at the same time...

The short redhead is struggling to keep up with the much taller blonde when she feels a now-familiar feeling, and groans. "NOW?! SERIOUSLY?!" She sighs dramatically, "Hannah! She calls out and waves for her to wait for Amy to catch up to her and catch her breath. "Witch... hahh... nearby... hahh... I feel it... hahh... we should... hahh... get ready..."

A transformation sequence later and she's tracking the Witch, spying the Minidokas out. "WAIT! DON'T ENTER A LABYRINTH ALONE!" But they've already disappeared. "Gods damn it... She looks up at Hannah, a bit annoyed at all this, but concerned for Tragar-chan, who is not so used to Witches. "Ready?"

Once Hannah's confirmed she's ready, Amy charges into where she saw Medo and Gretchen disappear...

Hannah Steiner has posed:
With a recent magical painting 'adventure' vaguely distant in the mirror of her mind and two sources of wisdom on her coinage woes in her back pocket? One Hannah Steiner has decided the best way to ruminate on things is to go on a nice, simple, relaxing jog about Pikarigaoaka with Lyra to clear her many thoughts! Muscle, sweat, a decent set of (second hand) running shoes? Along with weather appropriate running gear is something she relishes in.

Thankfully she avoids the heavier crouds of the area, just to make sure she isn't going to barrel into anyone, alongside Lyra's deft barks! An apparent dog of /that/ size is hard to miss, after all!

But right on a corner, she slows down, and it's not because of traffic or need to catch her breath. No, it's because she wants to indulge poor Amy's desire to cling, the blonde Belkan already opening her mouth!

"By the Sankt we need to work on your /endurance/ mein faustian engel! Allow me to..."

When she's just about to apply arms to lovely, exhausted significant other, the words 'Witch' are on the air. And so? She and Lyra duck into a convenient closed ramen shop with only a light /whap/ of her running shoe.

Moments later, there's a light, and Trager-chan is exiting the shop's window with all the care that the Veil provides, vaguely wishing she could justify a Barrier right now when she doesn't even know where the Witch is at.

"Forward, mein Liebling!" Confirms Hannah, and both she and the big ol' razorhound charge after the chara, even as she activates an Area Search with Blauer Greif to keep them in her mind's mental map, letting Amy sus out the Witch's location!

Yuna Yuki has posed:
Yuna Yuki is leaving school. Ordinarily, she'd be walking with Togo, but Togo was picked up by the transportation vehicle a bit early because of a medical appointment. The Baseball Club requested help from the Hero Club, so she and Togo have spent most of the afternoon doing that. But now, she's headed to the park. Not for any particular reason. Maybe just because of nostalgia. How long has it been since she has played at a park?

It must have been back when she was nothing more than a kid, determines the 13-year old, who is very much still a kid.

Before she reaches Penguin Park, however, she hears a strange jingle from her phone. For a moment, she looks down at her pocket, dread sinking her stomach. Another Vertex. But when she pulls out her phone and looks at the screen, her eyebrows lower in confusion. "Eh?"

The message is different from usual. So is the chime.

    SPACE-TIME ENCROACHMENT
    ENGAGE AND DEFEND

    ??????

Yuna doesn't know what that means. Is there a smart person around to explain it to her? In her search for someone who isn't dumb as a rock, Yuna spots a couple girls, and also a dog, as they disappear into thin air!

    !?!?!?!?!!?!?

Well, that sure seems like a space-time whatsit! Time hasn't stopped, so does this mean this is different from when the Shinju-sama is summoning her? Shaking her head to clear it of distracting thoughts, Yuna clenches a fist, puts on her determined expression, and goes charging forwards as well. Her friends are probably already on the way or something, it's fine!

    Bloop.

[Yuna Yuki] has entered the Labyrinth.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
While the Charas and the 3 heroines are entering the labyrinth, Ula is still trying to avoid the familiar that is still chasing her even now mostly by going around in circles so she doesn't stray too far from when she started. Here is hoping if any combatant shows up in this Labyrinth, it will be at the same place as her.

The worrying thing is that she recognises this familiar all too well, and considering the headache disposing of it last time was, she doesn't know what any potential protector will have to deal with when facing many of them at once. And that's before they even get to the Witch.

The familiar that looks just like someone assembled a crocodile out of the animal's teeth is still jumping towards her as Ula tries her best to stay out of its range...

Meanwhile, the newcomers all appear not too far from hear, close enough to hear the poor mermaid's panicked shrieks, in a small corridor that only allows two people to stay side by side at most, and not especially big people at that, making the place feel especially constricting.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Medo looks behind her to see the other Mahou come in. Red, she's seen before. Trager and Yuki, she doesn't know. She waves at them for a moment before Gretchen chastises her. "Focus on the mission! This isn't a social call."

Medo objects, "But they're here to help too, right?"

Gretchen looks behind her to see the gathering mahou (and pet space lizard) and lifts up her mask to address them. "That desperate shrieking is coming from a friend of ours. We're going to find her. As for the Witch, that's not something we can handle."

For a moment, the dark fairy looks at Yuki and says, "If you can see me, you must have some kind of magic sight, but I advise against going any further without a transformation or a weapon. People die in places like these."

The dark fairy rushes ahead towards Ula's voice, and when she gets close enough to see her being chased she summons a pair of tiny eldritch angel-like Familiars of her own, sending the incomprehensible masses of wings, gold and eyes after the teeth crocodile. They can't do much other than flutter in front of its face or annoy it, but they have their own way of 'tanking' hits. Mostly by being cheap to make and disposable.

Gretchen, meanwhile flies closer to Ula and shouts, "Ula-chan! Over here! Get behind me!"

Hannah Steiner has posed:
Urk! There's terrified shrieks, a new girl she doesn't recognize through her scan, and suddenly a rather narrow alleyway they're all jammed into. This initially poses a problem, given she and Lyra just barely occupy that space alone! Hopefully neither Yuna nor Amy end up squished against them, so much as she enjoys close proximity to Amy!

Her ears and a wide area search spurr her into action even before Blauer Greif kicks in a mental suggestion.

"Take the low road, mein freunds, at least until we have more spacious accomodations!" Comes Hannah to both Amy and Yuna, before she whips her hand out towards a higher up portion of the labyrinth!

<Fluss: Anlocken>

One gravitic anchor, and two parts of the 'tiny corridor' problem solve themselves by going skywards as Hannah draws the blade from her Device!

Somewhere, in all of that, the Area Search has caught her Medo's wave, and it's answered with a mid-air bow, before she swings right back into an attack landing, clearly aiming to both land upon the familiar-crok's neck, and then start stabbing and smacking with all the Belkan enthusiasm she can wonder. At the very least, between Gretchen's many strange wing-masses, and trusting in the ranged support of her engel alongside a new ally?

Time to play very, very Space German distraction!

"You deign to harm the innocent!? By the Sankt Kaiser's will, face the Justice of mein House und our Allies!" Comes Hannah dramatically, never missing an opportunity for Glory and Honor!

Amanda Faust has posed:
Hannah slowing down to give Amy some hug time was really sweet of her! Amy's heart is warmed by the gesture but then WITCH.

And now they're in a Labyrinth. Amy doesn't have time to warn the new girl about witches, Ula's in danger! "Shit..." She glances up at Hannah... Short can go in front of tall, that way there's more room! ...Or Tall can grapple to the ceiling, that works too! Amy conjures an SMG-shaped gyrojet weapon (it fires rocket-propelled bullets!) and runs forward, eyes sweeping back and forth for... movement or something, who the hell knows what will be in this Labyrinth. It feels like someone built a museum inside a Sierpinski sponge or something...

Amy makes it to the exhibition hall and just fires a long burst at the toothodile to get its attention away from Ula. "Fuck! One of these things again?! After everything it took to kill it last time... Hannah, it's made of teeth, got anything that can hurt it good?!" She tries to get far enough away from the entrance so she won't be blocking it before summoning a massive, ten-or-eleven-foot-long cannon that she's struggling to hold on her shoulder and aim, even with Mahou strength. "If nothing else, gravity it in place and I'll blow it to pieces!"

Yuna Yuki has posed:
"Wuh--This isn't the Jukai!" Yuna cries out after she passes through the Barrier and finds herself in weirdoland. "...I think." It's not like she has seen the whole Jukai after all... But this doesn't look very much like a tree, so there's that! She blinks at Gretchen when the fairy speaks to her. "Uh, yes, I was chosen to be a Yuusha." Yuna clenches her fist. "Don't worry. No one will die here! A Hero always comes through for those in need!"

Then she taps the screen of her phone and holds it up above her head. In a flash of pink light, the Yuusha System turns Yuna into a magical girl with a similar color scheme to a certain Puella. The ponytailed, newly-pinkette girl moves swiftly, following after the others thanks to Hannah widening the passage. Just as she preparing to charge the crocodile, clearly hostile, a white cow spirit with a pink flower marking on its side appears next to Yuna. "Gyuuki, I didn't say you could come out!" she protests, distracted, as Hannah leaps onto the crocodile's back and starts stabbing it. When she turns her pink eyes back to the monster, with the gun-wielding magical girl's proclaimation that the monster is made of teeth, she just lets Gyuuki hover near her. Everyone else has their own fairies out, after all. Weird that she didn't know there were more Heroes selected by Taisha...

Yuna leaps up into the air in a streak of pink and white, and then yells out, "Yuusha... KIIIIIIICK!" as she surges downwards at high speed, trying to unleash enormous strength and a fiery aura upon the Familiar (taking care not to hit near Hannah, of course). She holds herself back, since she doesn't know how durable this place is, but even so.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Ula doesn't need to be told the same thing twice when the familiars conjured by Gretchen start distracting the crocodile and immediately hurries by the X-Chara's side. "Gretchen!" she shouts relieved. "You are here!", she adds, still glancing a few times with worry at the one-sided conflict between familiars going on not too far from them.

"Witches are impossible, why do they have to get the jump on you with these creepy places", she starts lamenting. "I just wanted to go to the park to relax, not have one of these creepy things warp into existence."

The crocodile scatters when Hannah falls upon in, the sudden impact of her body making the teeth it's made of bounce around. As a result, the Belkan's blade hits the air, the familiar's body no longer under her own. At the same time, the teeth start gathering together reforming the Witch's spawn as it hisses in Hannah's direction.

The distraction however costs it dearly, as Amy's bullet hit it straight in the side, blowing up a good part of the crocodile's structure and the creature is left without the the left side of the lower half of its body.

Yuna meanwhile gets a good Hero Kick at it and there goes the right side too, but the crocodile takes the chance of the heroine's proximity to try and bite at her leg.

Hannah Steiner has posed:
"Made of teeth!? Sankt Kaiser's unwashed socks, I find that enough blades into the op..." Riiiiight. It's a Familiar. Logic has a tendency to die in irritating ways when one is fighting the cursed offspring of a Witch, nevermind while in its' sanctuary.

Before she can follow up her thought amidst all that proper Belkan slicery, there's a Hero leaping down in that pink and white magical surve, slamming down a foot!

Recognizing someone skilled in melee, and her distracted mind pondering if they've found a PreCure in their midst? She and Lyra leap upwards to avoid any shockwave -or more importantly, that aura that BG belatedly makes Hannah aware of - and then she's laughing eagerly!

"Nein, I shan't deny the request of an engel!"

Suddenly her descent as well as her large, feathery abomination of a lizard is up in the air, and she points the end of her sword-cane at the creature.

It's...it's about then that Hannah finally realizes it has literally scattered into teeth, putting the metaphor into complete framing.

There's no words. Only a sound from her mouth that's just pure indignation!

She lands back to the ground suddenly, and finishes her pointing of sword.

Yet another <Fluss: Anlocken>, and this time she summons that gravitic anchor directly into the mass of teeth that is the familiar, trying to simply crush them down into a ball her compatriots can focus down!

"FEUER FREI MEIN FREUNDS!" Comes the Countess as she pours her gravity magic into it with a will!

Madoka Kaname has posed:
The entrance to the Labyrinth ripples as another pinkette suddenly appears in the Labyrinth. Hope Blossom feels the fighting going on ahead and starts girly-running towards her Charas' position. Turning the corner to see the fight scene before her, she shouts, "Sorry I'm late!" When she notices a couple new faces, she considers greeting them, but realizes that the middle of a fight is not the time.

Gretchen and Medo look towards their Chara Bearer, and the masked fairy drags the nurse away to a safe corner. "I can see what the Witch is doing better than you can, so stay close to me. Ula, don't worry about Hansel and Grettle, I can just reform them later."

The two Familiars, seeing the forming Gravity well, decide to make a tactical retreat for their own safety. Regardless of what Gretchen says, they don't particularly want to go out easily.

Hope Blossom meanwhile nocks a glowing pink arrow into her branch bow and releases, sending it straight towards the hostile Familiar. The arrow splits into tiny bolts, spreading out its damage just in case the enemy decides to scatter itself again.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"I'm sorry Ula..." Amy grunts under the weight of the cannon. "You should get a cell phone-- wait, that wouldn't help here. I don't know... I guess there's not much others can do against witches... FIR--!"

                                    *BOOM!*

The moment the Familiar isn't looking, the weapon fires, and it is LOUD. Amy probably shouldn't have used that in an enclosed space! At least the sheer amount of kinetic energy dumped into the familiar partially shatters it... but not as completely as Amy had hoped.

Also, she forgot she was using a recoilless rifle, and didn't make sure the back of the weapon was clear of the wall.

So Amy's pitched FORWARD by the recoil, letting out a loud OOF as she hits the ground with what looks like hundreds of pounds of giant cannon on top of her. She immediately dismisses it and pushes up to her hands and knees. "Shit... At this rate, it's gonna drain at least as much magic as killing a Witch just to take out the Familiar... Need a better weapon..." Oh wait, they've already got like half of it? Maybe she weakened it more than she thought... There's a new Magical Girl here too, but no time to talk.

Hannah does gravity shenanigans as asked while Amy gets back to her feet. If Tragar-chan is indeed able to compactly crush it... Amy conjures gaudy pink earmuffs and a matching visor, and the same giant cannon, and

                                    *BOOM!*

...fires again, this time spraying the wall behind her with a saltwater countermass, still pitching forward, but dismissing the weapon before she can fall over. Better to just spend the magic and end the threat if it looks like she can.

If that buys them a moment to talk, she turns to look at Yuna. "Welcome to--" huh, why is her voice muffled? Oh, right. She dismisses the hearing protection. "Welcome to the Witch's Labyrinth." She holds out a hand to shake and approaches her. "If you've never seen it before... Witches are horrible monsters from outside reality" well, that's her theory, anyway "that drive nearby humans to suicide and feed on their deaths. They usually can't manifest in reality, but if you get close enough to them you can enter their Labyrinth," She waves an arm at the room around them, "A world that runs on their rules, not ours. Fortunately, magic seems to be pretty reliable, especially as attacks and defenses, and somehow the atmosphere is usually breathable. Or," She rubs the back of her head, "Maybe it just doesn't occur to the Witches to decide that there shouldn't be breathable air. I don't know. Just... stick together, and don't rely on places being as near or far away as they look, as far as expecting to be able to get to them by moving, anyway."

She approaches Yuna and holds out her hand. "I'm Magical Rocket Girl Red. Nice ta meetcha!" She smiles.

Yuna Yuki has posed:
The crocodile is blasted by a combination of rocket-bullets and kicks, losing some of its mass on both sides, but it's still active. Not a surprise. Yuna's only experience fighting monsters is with facing foes who don't die even when struck with tremendous force. But her lack of fighting experience means her leg is clamped down on by the crocodile's jaws. Gyuuki flies around in circles around Yuna's head frantically, as she tries to yank her leg free in a panic. There's some sort of semi-visible, flickering barrier around her and her leg, so she's not being damaged, but she's not going anywhere either!

"Let go!" she yells at the Familiar as though that would simply make it do so.

But then pink light flashes, arrows aimed to strike multiple locations at once, and Yuna blinks.

...Wait, did just asking really work?

Then she notices the archer who has joined them. Oh, good. And with the sword-wielder using some kind of gravity magic to try to crush it (Yuna's leg is still in its jaws when she does so, which is less than ideal, but aside from more intense flickering of her barrier, she doesn't seem to be getting injured by it), then BOOM a giant cannon fires! And then another BOOM a few moments later!

If needed, Yuna drives a fist downwards into whatever she can reach of the crocogator, but otherwise she just tries to clear the area and get some distance.

She's still a bit shaken up by her first encounter with a Familiar, or maybe she's just frazzled from trying to convince Gyuuki to calm down and stop flying in circles before it runs into something. Either way, it takes her several seconds to clue into the fact that Amy is explaining things to her.

Blink. "Oh. Nice to meet you, Red-chan! Sayacchi already explained about Witches before." Kind of. She smiles embarrasedly and says, "I didn't really understand much of it though... It sounded complicated. I'm Yuna Yuki, of the Radiant Heart Academy Hero Club! Nice to meet you!"

Hand shakes will have to wait until she's sure the Familiar is done for. She learned her lesson in her first fight. True monsters may not die from extreme damage the way a human would.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Hannah's gravity magic is scarily effective against the familiar, who finds itself pinned to the floor, its usual tactic of "scatter and reform" completely unavailable to it in this state.

The combined attacks of the magical girls end, be they arrows, bullets or fists, up making short work of the captive crocodile, its techniques completely useless in this situation. As a result the familiar is no more, and the magical girls get a brief respite to recollect themselves from the sudden fight.

"The only phone I have ever used was Sayaka's and that was extremely annoying to do", Ula replies to Amy. Blame the fact that it was way too big for her to use comfily. "Even if it worked in here, if I had tried to warn you, I would have become food for the familiar. Well, food if they get sustenance from it, which I don't think familiars do, right?" she asks for comfirmation.

"Hansel and Grettle?" Ula repeats. Like the kids that a witch tried to eat only to end up being outsmarted by the two of them? That's a surprising comparison, although she can see where it's coming from. 'Isn't their namesakes' situation similar to that of Puellae?"

And then she starts looking at the other Puellae. Putting the apt naming aside, she looks at the other girls that saved her. Apparently, she has actually been lucky twice. "Thank you all for coming to my rescue", she tells the group. "I didn't expect that familiar to pop up again. The other time it was chasing after the Lost Logia than ended up splitting Sayaka in two." Well, Madoka and Amy already know about the Scroll, but it's a first for Hannah and Yuna. That might just give them more questions though with how she said it.

Hannah Steiner has posed:
More fire support? Well, Hannah's hardly going to say no to such a thing! Especially as Hope Blossom quickly kicks into action!

There's a perfunctory 'Guten Aben' towards their potentially Familiar Perforating new ally with warmth even as she keeps her Device-and-Razorhound fueled mental matrix of the area in mind, quite literally!

Hannah winces as Amy uses that particular gun, and the results it has! Her mouth opens, and then slams shut. Why must this planet subject its' people to such technology!

...Then again, imagining Obsidian with space ships gives her usual indignation pause.

Perhaps it's lucky this is a dirtball.

Alright, her girlfriend's pure enthusiasm for large guns despite her hangups on the local tech base just springs tears and an utter industrialist's smile to her face.

Sankt, why does she deserve such a puella!?!?

Also introductions are in order. "Trager des Bleaur Greif, at your service! May your House fiend Glory und Honor mein freund! Same as you!" She offers back to the pink bow-girl, even as she and her big lizard are warily Area Searching the familiers and their victim(s) in question.

Hannah finds she quite likes like the punchy...Hero Club member??? Well, why look a gift pugilist in the acheing wrists?

"Just follow the advice of the 'Puella' amongst us, frau Yuki!" She offers imply enough before focusing on the task at hand!

Familiars gone, and finally getting a straight story from Ula?

Alright, here's where Hannah's jaw just falls open.

"Nein, not a problem, acht...frau Miki..in....two? By a..." Oh hey there's her jaw slamming shut and her entire body shuddering in disgust.

"An abominable Lost Logia!? Und where exactly does it reside!? For the Glory of House und the sanctity of all whom fall under the Sankt Kaiser's benevolent gaze, I shall tear such a Heretical thing apart from the Old Days with mein own bare hands if needs be!!!!" Despite her concern for Sayaka, it's clear she's hyperfixating.

Also she's floating a few inches from the ground, so worked up is she, that she's activating gravity magic unconsciously!

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy blinks. "Yuki-san? That's you?!" Man, it never stops being weird the way recognition inhibition works. It seems so obvious now! She looks like Yuna, after all! But just a moment ago, Amy couldn't recognize her. "It's me, Faust-san! Amy! Figures that if anyone becomes a Hero for real, of course it'd be someone from the Hero club..." And, she can see that Yuna's on the alert for more danger, so she stops pressing for the handshake, looking around herself. "Yeah, Witches are a pain. But we've gotten through a lot of them before. We should... we can hopefully manage this one."

She looks around warily for any way out of the gallery save that which they came. "So... You didn't get a magical girl name, so you're not a Sailor Senshi or a Cure... You're not a Puella Magi or you'd know about this, unless you only just contracted..."

Amy shrugs. "What abilities do you have? Kicks hard enough to kill monsters? I summon a rocket launcher. Well, various kinds of explosive weapon. I'm still figuring out just what that includes, I only found out I could do the giant cannon like a few days ago."

    Beat.

"Oh, right. Um. So we'll... we have to keep doing things in here, basically. Exploring, or fighting. I'm not sure what actually gets us closer to the Witch, it isn't necessarily just moving towards a location. Eventually, we'll either find the Witch or it will decide to fight us. You'll know we've reached the Witch's Lair and confronted the Witch because it has Boss Titles. Like in a videogame, only not in a language we can read."

As for whether familiars eat you? Amy shrugs. "I mean... Witches feed off death... so I'd think Familiars could too..." She tries to give Ula a reassuring pat. "We'll get you through this. Just stay close... maybe stay close to Madoka."

Hannah just learned about the Sayakas! "One of them decided she's Klarissa. They're, uh, pretending to be twins, so that's the story for those not in the know, okay?" Where did the scroll go? "Didn't Chrono take it for study or something? Or did it basically get used up?"

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Blossom hears 'Hero Club' and immediately perks up. "Oh? So like Togo-san?" she asks. That's the only person she's heard about the Hero Club from before today. "I didn't know they did magical stuff, too!"

Medo hears the discussion about phones, looks at her tiny phone and says, "Well, mine's magic, so... it's a little bit different. I'm actually not sure how well it works."

Gretchen flails her arms, "Don't question it! It might stop working if you think about it too hard! Plus It only lets you talk to our Bearer's other Chara!" Then, to Ula, the witch Chara adds, "Yeah, basically. We made a gingerbread house the day after Christmas and then people started kidding me about being the witch from that fairy tale and well... now that's their names."

Hope Blossom smiles at Trager in response to her greeting, now that the immediate skirmish is over. "Hope Blossom! Two of those tinies over there, Gretchen and Medo, are mine."

Now people are talking about their secret identities, and so she decides to just out herself since she seems to be in comfortable company. "Um... some of you might also have met me as Madoka Kaname."

Gretchen keeps most of her Witch opinions to herself, but to Amy she clarifies one point. "The Boss titles are their names. I don't think many people can read them."

Hope Blossom starts looking around, then she looks at Gretchen. "U-um... speaking of your... speciality... do you know where the Witch might be?"

The tiny masked fairy crosses her arms and turns away. "You wish it was that easy. Come on, let's keep going." Gretchen moves further down the hall, away from the entrance. Hope and Medo follow after.

Yuna Yuki has posed:
Yuna smiles and greets Hannah, aka, 'Trager des... Bleaur... Uh... Grief...'. She'll nickname her and make it easier to remember. "Ah! Acchi! Good to see you again!" You have been nicknamed, Amy. Embrace it. "Oh, eeh... Hehehe... I was chosen by the Shinju-sama to fight. Taisha gave me a special phone app that lets me use the 'Yuusha System' and turn into a Hero! I didn't think I needed a different name." She isn't sure how to answer the question about what abilities she has. "Weellll... I'm not entirely sure. I think it's mostly just being super strong and super fast!" She holds up her gauntlet, and poses a bit. There's a flower-like design on the back, with one of the petals filled in.

"Oh, you know Togo-san too?" Yuna asks excitedly. "She's my best friend! We didn't do magic stuff until back in November... I haven't fought much since then. Our enemies don't show up regularly."

The announcement that Sayaka was split in half grabs Yuna's attention too. "Is she okay?" she asks with deep concern, running over to Ula. Yuna and Ula hadn't met yet, but just like Hannah, Yuna worries about her friends a lot. There may still be a Witch to fight, but the well-being of Sayacchi is a bigger priority!

"At least we all have Fairies here, so nobody will get seriously hurt." she says, looking around at the Charas. "...Except Acchi? So, um... Are you all also working with Taisha or...? I thought Sayacchi was something different."

Did she fail to understand those entire explanations??

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Ula is perplexed by the sudden intensity from Hannah, and she instinctively floats a bit back despite the lack of danger. And it appears Amy too didn't know where the Lost Logia ended up. "It's still there with the two parts of her, just fused to both halves of her soul", she explains. "And yes, the two of them are passing themselves off as Sayaka and Sayaka's twin, though Sayaka", she hesitates for a moment.

"She wasn't in a good mood when the split happened, the fault of Kyubey and his lies", Ula answers Yuna. "Kyubey is the messenger of magic that gives Puellas their powers, and he withheld some things over the nature of Puellae that sent her into a spiral of negativity about herself." Her brow furrows as she says this.

"Sayaka, or the half that adopted that name, is ok, she is just as cheerful as she was before despite knowing of Kyubey's treachery, but Klarissa has inherited all the negative parts of Sayaka and we are trying to do our best to let her see her own value again, but our results are lacking so far", she says with a troubled sigh.Watching Klarissa get stuck in her own dark mood is quite troubling, and it's terrible they can't really seem to help her.

"Anyway, the trick to get them back together is to have them reach some state of understanding. Basically, heal the fracture in Sayaka's soul she already had regardless of the Lost Logia", the koi mermaid finishes explaining.

Ula frowns at the thought of Gretchen being compared to that bad witch from the fairy tale, even if she does have very similar magic to the Witches. That's just rude, she is nowhere near as bad as her. "So, you got compared to her? That's not very nice of them, you are much more helpful than that old hag in the fairy tale", she tries to take the X-Chara's side.

Ula starts following Gretchen, and if the others do the same, they can feel the temperature rising the further they move in, as if it became a particularly hot summer all of a sudden. Everyone who followed soon comes across a statue, 4 to 5 meters tall in an impossibly huge ceiling. The statue seems to represent a woman with the head of a cat, however, the sculptor either was bad at their job or wanted to unsettle people, because the limbs were all gangly and distorted, way too long, and the face a chaotic ensemble of human and feline traits in a way that feels jarring to watch.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Ula exposits. "It's not 'treachery'" Amy objects. "He made us immortal. I need to have a talk with Sayaka about-- I mean Klarissa about why she feels this way."

Amy listens to Yuna. Chosen by what? Who's Taisha? "You got... a magical phone app to turn into a magical girl?" Amy holds her head to her forehead. "That's a thing?! I can't believe it's not what got me." She lowers her hand.

"Uhhh... Why would fairies mean we can't get hurt? Who's Taisha? What's the Shinju-sama? I'm a Puella Magi... if 'Sayacchi' is Sharpsong, we're the same -- we contracted with Kyubey to fight Witches. When we kill the Witch, I'll be taking its grief seed to recharge my Soul Gem" she holds up her arm with the soul gem on the back of her left wrist on her costume, a deep red lenticular shape with the top quarter consumed by black smokey darkness "and turning it in to Kyubey once it's all used up."

"...I think we're all different kinds of Magical Girl here, today."

She walks along after Gretchen as they talk. "Guh. Everyone else feels it getting hot, right?"

"Huh. It's like a giant kindergartner tried to make a statue of Baast." She feels... uncomfortable staring at it, though, so she starts looking for another exit to this room.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Gretchen shakes her head at Ula and says, "It wasn't meant in a bad way, and I didn't take it that way either. People who know me know I'm not out to eat kids or anything like that." Then the dark fairy raises her eyebrow at the mention of Taisha, but then shakes her head. "I think your fairies are a different thing from us. Medo and I are Chara. We're based off of the dreams of our Bearer. We have nothing to do with the Taisha." Has the Witch X-Chara heard of the Taisha before? Not that she remembers. Whether that's because of her muddled memory or people keeping secrets is up for debate.

Medo gives Yuna a confused look. "What does having us out have to do with not getting hurt? We only really protect our Bearer when we merge with her." Hope Blossom also looks unsure. Yuna's on a magic system she's not intimately familiar with.

When Amy asks, Hope says, "It's not just you. I wonder if it means we're getting warmer!" As the Chara Bearer and her two fairies approach the cat statue, Hope Blossom looks up at it and tilts her head. "Huh... weird. Why would it be a cat?"

Gretchen flails, "Why would it be anything? It's a Labyrinth. Let's just keep looking."

Yuna Yuki has posed:
...Oh. OHHHHHH. So Sayaka is okay, she just became twins, and one of them is Klarissa, that's fine then. Except-- "Wait, no it's not okay! It sounds like Klarissa-san needs help!" Of course, first they have to deal with this whole... 'Witch' situation. She sighs, looking morose and hanging her head with her arms dangling limply beneath her as she practically leans forward in order to nope better. "To think a Hero Club member was dealing with such a thing, and I didn't even know... I need to remind her about the Hero Club Five Tenets. 'If you are troubled, talk to someone!'"

Then she realizes she's being questioned. As the temperature rises, she points a finger up, and says, "Oh, Gyuuki is a Fairy too. We Yuusha all have a Fairy who protects us from serious injury. Fighting Vertex without them would be way harder... Probably." It's not like she has ever been a Yuusha without a Fairy, after all!

"I guess your Fairies are different, huh? Taisha are, I guess, the guardians of the island the Hero Club members came from--well, the first four of us, at least. A bunch more have joined since coming to the mainland! The Shinju-sama is the Divine Tree. Taisha are the priests of the Shinju-sama, and I guess they figured out a way to make phones... Um... Transform the Shinju-sama's blessing...?" It was complicated. A lot of things are complicated for Yuna.

Then she looks around, realizing Gyuuki is nowhere to be seen. "Gyuuki? Gyuuki, where did you go!?"

The winged cow is presently floating around in the face of the giant statue, flapping its wings and staring. Does Gyuuki sense something?

Or is Gyuuki just hungry and about t--Yup, there they go, the cow fairy is trying to latch onto the statue's head to start chewing, great, this is exactly what will help them out of this situation, definitely.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Ula shakes her head at Amy. "Were you aware of everything Sayaka is depressed over?" she asks the redhead, already expecting no as an answer. "If you weren't then Kyubey tricked you and treated you unfairly, regardless of how you personally feel about the changes he did and of how that's not grounds for Klarissa to discredit herself", Ula tells Amy.

The koi mermaid's worry only augmented by the fact there is a mysterious third thing the alien cat did Gretchen accidentally let slip to Ula, only the fact that by now it was too late and knowing would only worsen Sayaka's situation, as well as wanting to respect the X-Chara's obligations that she didn't choose to press the issue further with the mini dark Madoka.

Speaking of Gretchen, she tells Ula it wasn't meant in a negative manner and so the mermaid nods at her, trusting her judgment. The X-Chara isn't one to let herself be pushed around.

While everyone is puzzling over the statue, Gyuuki has started trying to chew the statue too and Yuna has good reason to tell the fairy to stop, because the statue starts moving all of a sudden in a burst of energy that makes the fairy fly back next to the vase in this room that is displayed in a prominent position.

The boss name appears, as Amy put it the eldritch letters dancing in the air briefly before leaving place to a very ferocious moving statue.

While the statue opens its mouth revealing an impossible number of razor teeth that makes no sense, the sculpted fur on its face gets wilder and thicker, while rays of fire start emanating from its body directed straight at Amy and Madoka. The crazed witch instead lunges at Yuna, seemingly holding her at fault for Gyuuki awakening her.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy sighs, slumping a bit at Ula's response. "Is any Mahou Shoujo fully aware of what she's signed up for? You're teenagers, not soldiers. Is anyone really prepared for life-or-death fighting, even if we believed it was the right thing to do?" She turns to look at Ula. "In any case, Kyubey's actions and what's been done to us are no reason for Klarissa to discredit herself. We're still people, and selfless ones at that. We're still mentally and psychologically human regardless of... of where our souls reside. But, I do need to speak to her personally to try and understand her point of view."

And then she sees the statue start moving out of the corner of her eye, her rocket launcher appearing in her hand as she turns to face it. "Ah fuck, it was a familiar?! No, it's the Witch!" She fires a wild shot, missing if it moves at all or even tried to dodge, then aims a follow-up shot as it opens its mouth, gritting her teeth as the fire starts to burn her for the additional split second needed to actually fire. Then she dives out of the way, the burned cloth parts of her outfit replacing themselves while the armor pieces remain scorched. Her skin doesn't look burned, her magic protecting her from damage from such brief exposure. Burn wounds aren't cute!

From the ground, she summons a gyrojet pistol (the previous weapon disappearing into sparkles as she does so, as always happens, though Yuna may not have gotten a good look at the process yet) and fires a few rocket-bullets at the Witch as it goes for Yuna. "Watch out! It might have more attacks we haven't seen yet! Don't assume anything!"

Madoka Kaname has posed:
"I personally think that Klarissa-chan's being a bit to hard on herself," says Hope Blossom. "I thought what I said got through to her, but I guess she still feels bad about it. I can't blame her for being upset by such a violation."

Gretchen looks away and doesn't comment. With her mask up it's hard to get a read on her feelings, but the way she wrings her hands might give off an impression of worry.

When the words suddenly appear in people's minds, and the cat statue starts moving, Medo tugs on Gretchen's arm. "Hey, hey! What does that say?"

Gretchen side-eyes at Medo, then looks away while crossing her arms. "Knowing wont explain much. What Witches say is complete nonsense even if you can read it. For what it's worth, Rocket girl happened to be correct. It says Bastet Sekhmet. I assume it's her name."

Hope Blossom hears this and comments, "So... it's like she's introducing herself? U-um... should we do the same? Hi! My name is--" The ray of fire comes, and she's cut off as the sudden attack forces her to dodge and flee.

Gretchen flails as she follows behind Madoka, shouting. "I'm pretty sure it doesn't care what your name is! Forget about being polite and just fight!"

Still running, Hope Blossom draws back the invisible string of her branchbow, and starts firing shot after shot of homing pink magical death. Each arrow is aimed a little sloppy because she has to run while fighting, but her magic makes sure they turn towards and chase after the Witch anyways.

Yuna Yuki has posed:
Gyuuki flies backwards, tumbling end over end! It's okay, they're fine! But the Witch coming to life and lunging at Yuna while blasting her friends is very much not okay! "Introducing herself? Fine, I'll do the same!" Then she leaps up to meet the Witch, as Amy is warning her not to assume anything, but it's too late, because pinkette is gonna' do what a pinkette is gonna' do!

"Radiant Heart Academy Hero Club, First Tenet! GIVE PEOPLE A GOOD GREETING!" She has her fist pulled back as she flies towards the scary statue that is coming to life and turning into a not-a-statue!

Then she blasts forwards, fist extended, and calls out, "YUUSHA... PAAAAAAAAUNCH!" trailing pink light and fire as she goes! Will this even do anything to a Witch? Who knows! Not Yuna!

She has to keep her friends, new or otherwise, out of harm's way, and keeping the Witch focused on her is the best way to do that!

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Well, Ula did say that Klarissa shouldn't discredit herself, so it's not like she is at a real disagreement with Amy, beyond the lack of severity the redhead seems to attribute to Kyubey's actions from Ula's understanding. "I agree on Klarissa, but you are too soft on Kyubey: people are aware they are going to fight, but they are not aware of anything Kyubey did. That's an important difference."

With the fight exploding from both sides, Ula quickly rushes off away from the fight as well as she can, as unlike Gretchen, there is nothing she can do to assist! So she just sort of hang outs next to Gyuuki and that exquisite vase.

Meanwhile the Witch is being pushed back from the combined attacks of the three magical girls, the lunge towards Yuna rendered ineffective. She doesn't seem any worse for the wear, though, its stone-skin seemingly too tough to be damaged any. Intelligible cries come out of the Witch, who reaches for the walls of the Labyrinth, which surrender to her and leave her with enamel that gets burning in its grasp.

The extracted mass gets chucked at Amy, its cutting edge and burning heat constituting a two-fold attack. Madoka meanwhile gets one of the many mediocre vases hanging around, while Yuna gets a ray of fire directed at her.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Gretchen is staying mostly quiet on the Kyubey situation. She doesn't have anything to say to his defense, nor would she even if she did. It worries her that Sayaka is taking it hard, but even that's to be expected. There isn't anything productive that the X-Chara can add to that situation, and there's no knowing how people are going to take the news if it ever breaks. The only thing she can really do is agree with Ula. "Kyubey's a real jerk. I don't like him at all."

The dark fairy mostly stays back to keep Ula and Medo safe. Being a distraction isn't completely useless, but unless she starts really leaning into dark powers she actually can't deal meaningful damage to something like a Witch. Defensively, she can probably at least hide them all in her own pocket dimension if she needed to.

As for Hope Blossom, a not-so-expensive looking vase is being hurled at her. She'd almost feel bad about breaking it, but she knows that almost nothing here is actually 'real' enough for it to be an issue. As it gets close, she adjusts her grip to hold her branchbow like a two-handed weapon, and it glows pink as she swings it into the vase, hoping to either shatter or deflect it.

She keeps running, but this time she changes direction, circling the room as fast as she can while continuing to pelt the cat statue Witch with pink firepower. When she gets an opening, she draws back on her bow and holds it, letting the arrow gather magic and charge up. When the pink flame ignites at the top of her bow, she fires into the air. The arrow goes straight up and then splits into many smaller copies which turn and rain down all over the Witch.

"Geeze. It really is throwing everything it has at us," comments Hope Blossom.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"He did us a favor! How many times would we have died already if our bodies still worked like they used to?? Why is everyone so damn attached to their mind being in their body?!" Amy is perhaps a little extra frustrated while in a life-or-death fight.

"Gh. it's got armor! But I've got high-energy physics!" Amy summons the big launcher tube braced to her arm and quickly stands, only to get a chunk of giant burning tooth chucked at her! She reflexively blocks, but it cuts through the launcher and into her arm, getting an involuntary cry of pain from her. "AAH!"

But then she just summons the same launcher strapped to her left arm instead. "Yuna! Keep it off balance! Madoka! If any of your arrows can go through tiny holes, get ready!"

If Yuna's able to keep it busy and punch it again, great! Amy fires while the Witch is reeling from her attack! If not, because she's busy dodging lasers... Amy will just have to hope that the two of them are enough to make this magic count! She fires anyway!

Either way, Amy points her arm in the Witch's general direction and a large rocket shoots out the tube and then immediately splits off into several smaller missiles -- she doesn't have to aim because they home in on the Witch if Amy can see it -- each of which magically airbursts at the perfect distance from the Witch's surface to allow the anti-tank warheads optimal performance, the visual effect being that of lances of light that appear for a split second as heavy metal particles at like a thousand degrees are propelled to several kilometers per second, just for a meter or so -- hopefully enough to punch through that enamel armor! But who really knows when magic and physics and Witches all interact?

"Chew on THAT!" Amy shouts at the Witch. "Come on, that's gotta have helped, right...?"

Yuna Yuki has posed:
A clash of fist and fur, and teeth, and scary gnarly limbs, and thrown vases, and FIRE OH MY GOSH. Yuna does not win this clash, but she doesn't lose it either. No, she just gets blasted after her fist is deflected by the Witch's head, seemingly engulfed in a beam of light and fire like the Sun's rays! She slams up against a wall, letting out a noise of shock from the impact, eyes going wide, before falling to the floor on one knee.

One eye closed in pain, Yuna pushes herself upwards with her fist on the ground. "It's okay... A Hero is never defeated...! I'll keep fighting, Acchi--I mean... Akichi!" Yes, no one will ever suspect the identity of Amy if she just calls her 'Red' instead. Brilliant.

There was that flash of a barrier around Yuna again when the beam struck, preventing the worst of the attack, but the protection seems to stop short of fully shielding her from the heat or nearly getting the air knocked out of her. But she is already leaping up again, through the storm of arrows and rockets and explosions, trying to kick the Witch in the side of the head...!

The one responsible for that barrier is flapping its wings worriedly, and flying around, looking for one of the other Yuusha, or anyone at all who can help! In the process, Gyuuki spots Ula.

    '(OwO)'

A line of drool drips from the cow's mouth. Aw, heck! Is the Fairy still focused on food even now!? Or is it just trying to convey something and hasn't figured out how!? Either way, the Fairy flies at Ula at high-speed, dangerously close to the exquisite vase!

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Ula isn't really paying attention to Gyuuki, worried way more about the fight than them with their (relative) safety. Still, when the cow fairy comes speeding towards her, Ula can only try to dodge, surprised by the sudden interest Gyuuki is demonstrating.

"What's wrong with your cow!?" Ula says alarmed to Yuna, as both fairies come crashing into the vase, accidentally toppling it over and sending it crashing to the ground.

A deluge of red mead comes erupting when the exquisite vase is broken, the liquid springing towards the Witch instead of dispersing around, leaving it a soggy mess that somehow actually makes its skin sort and vulnerable, and making it revert to the appearance it had when it first awoke. The charged arrow from Madoka actually pierces all the way through the Witch, and she just takes the blow straight through its body, too dazed to actually try anything.

Similarly, Yuna's kick to the side of the head has a severe impact on the Witch, making it lose half its face and sending it crashing a bunch of smaller vases, only to be impacted by Amy's rain of missiles that wears the Witch down even further, the three consecutive attacks proving too much and completely destroying it.

The Labyrinth gets fading around them, and soon enough they are back in the alley, a Grief Seed quietly dropping to the ground. "Is it over?" Ula asks looking around. Confirming everyone is out of the Labyrinth, she exclaims. "Thank you all, you really saved me! Are you ok? You aren't hurt, right?"

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Hope Blossom watches as the Witch's weakness is revealed, thanks to Ula and Gyuuki stumbling into a vase. "Oh! So there was a trick?!" she says. It's mostly due to luck that her arrow goes all the way through at around that same time. While it was seemingly invincible a moment before, now it's getting torn apart. As the Grief Seed drops to the ground and the Labyrinth vanishes around them, Hope jumps into the air and gives a cheer!

Then, feeling a bit shy about it, she adds, "Eheh... I mean, you never really know how those things will go. I'm okay! How s everyone else?"

Gretchen casts a suspicious eye at Gyuuki, then hovers over to flail her tiny arms at the cow. "That's not a food! Leave Ula alone!"

Medo answers for both of the Chara. "We're fine over here!"

Hope Blossom smiles at her two fairies, and then looks around at the other gathered mahou. "I guess the Seed is all yours, Red. No one else here needs it."

Yuna Yuki has posed:
Gyuuki just floats there, upside-down, kicking its little stubby legs in the air, after its disastrous (and fortuitous) vase crashing. It probably meant to do that all along! ...Maybe! ...Yuna sure hopes so at least.

Yuna lands deftly after her ferocious kick, and gawks as Bastet Sekhmet is blown away by the others' attacks. It's a good thing she got out of there when she did!

"Wow... You all are strong too!" She claps her hands together. "Madoka-san, Akarin, Gretch-chan, Ula-chan, and Medo-chan... I'm glad I got to fight alongside you!" As the world starts to fade, warp, and disappear, Yuna looks around, expecting to wind up on the school roof again. But not, this wasn't transportation provided by the Shinju-sama. Gyuuki vanishes in a burst of pink light that takes the form of cherry blossoms, and then the same happens to Yuna as well. She looks at her phone, and sees the time.

Her face pales. "Oh, no! I was supposed to call Togo-san when I got home! Eeto... Eeeeeto... I'll see you all at school!" she calls out with a wave as she takes off running.

An endless battery of energy, that's Yuna.

She'll have to talk to Gyuuki about not eating other Fairies later, and try to get the scoop on this Kyubey character. It sounds like the opinions on him are... Mixed. Good thing she didn't get her powers from someone so shady, right?

Amanda Faust has posed:
It all happened so fast, but... breaking the vase was the secret?! If she had somehow figured that out, Amy could have saved some of her magic...

Still, it's a win, right? Amy dismisses the launch tube and nods to Madoka, runs over to the grief seed, and crouches to pick it up, reaching out with her right hand--

"Ow!" She winces and sucks in air through her teeth as she looks at the deep cut on her right arm. The skin heals over easily, but she winces and sucks in air again as she moves her arm, testing it and still feeling the internal damage. It will probably heal in a day or two, but... She just got a grief seed, and it's a relatively small injury. It really won't take much magic to just regenerate it. So she does, and breathes a sigh of relief as she wiggles her arm without pain.

That dealt with, the red Puella Magi picks up the grief seed and stands, turning to face the others so that Yuna can see as she holds the seed up to her Soul Gem, which is now more than a third corrupted after throwing so much power into her attack...

                       {|||||||||||||||||||             }

Touching grief seed to soul gem, the darkness seeps out of the soul gem and into the grief seed, until Amy's SOUL is again clean and bright!

                       {||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||}

The Puella Magi puts the grief seed away in her right belt pouch. She quirks an eyebrow at Gyuuki then looks to Yuna. "Well! There you have it, your first Witch!" She stretches her arms over her head. "So... the Divine Tree's power is channeled through a phone app to allow you to transform into a Hero? ...Honestly? After everything I've seen in the past few months, I'm not sure that's even that weird."

She looks around, and bows slightly. "Thank you, everyone! I mean... thank goodness we saved Ula, but I benefitted too."

She turns back towards Yuna. "So, what are the enemies that you fight? In case we ever run into them... Oh, she's gone."

Well. Time to get back to what she was doing. What was that again? Right, being all clingy with Hannah.

Having just survived a deadly fight together certainly isn't making her less interested in that! So she de-henshins and runs over to hug her girlfriend.
