| Sugata Shindo | Sugata TXT: Where are you fighting? Are you going to send us pictures? Casual at first, curious but not pressing - if there are pictures, it isn't a bad fight, and there's no need to rush to Wako's side, save for the chance at some action of their own. |
| Takuto Tsunashi | A minute later... Takuto TXT: wakochans you didnt put up zero time and youre not answering are you ok Takuto TXT: nvm that was stupid if she cant txt shes not ok Takuto TXT: i cant figure out where she henshined, but i think due west of here so meet you up there "APPRIVOISER!" |
| Sugata Shindo | Sugata TXT: Someone else could have put up a barrier. Sugata TXT: Still, we'll come to you. "APPRIVOISER!" |
| Wako Agemaki | Maybe another minute after that, ish: Wako TXT: it's ok I'm ok! Wako TXT: not even a real fight, just a stupidly haunted house Wako TXT: which is no longer haunted Wako TXT: it was in Setagaya, I'll meet you guys between here and there The boys both fly faster than Wako can manage, which as usual seems a little unfair, but at this particular moment means they'll meet up closer to Setagaya than Juuban as the mahou flies. |
| Takuto Tsunashi | The Ginga Bishounen's phone buzzes in his hand as he's leaving a jet contrail behind him, and he slows down to bring it up, then slows down considerably to text back. A bird gives him a wide berth. Takuto TXT: oh good ok c u soon |
| Sugata Shindo | Having flown off from different directions and places, Sugata and Takuto are nonetheless making much better time than Wako - they can both fly at high speed, though Takuto is fastest. The fact that Wako hasn't texted back is concerning, but Sugata is determined not to worry (too much) (yet). And then the phone vibrates, and the Ginga Kingu slows in mid-air as well, reading the texts with no small amount of relief. Sugata TXT: They know you're not that kind of miko, don't they? But that one snarky text is the only one, with Ginga Kingu sending more energy to his flight, blasting off with a glowing trail of blue-white energy left behind. |
| Wako Agemaki | Their flight paths intersect over a park at the outer edge of Setagaya, where plum blossoms are in full bloom in farewell to winter weather. Wako descends in one of her glimmering pink bubbles, picking a landing spot amidst the flowering trees. As soon as the boys are on the ground, she's moving to hug them. Takuto first, but she soon steps back and gloms onto Sugata for an identical squeeze. "Promise me you'll never buy a haunted house," she says into the cravat of Sugata's henshin. "They suck." |
| Takuto Tsunashi | Takuto squeezes back, red-and-yellow head of hair bent over her for enveloping hug of tallness number one, and he has a crooked little smile instead of a brow-furrowed little frown, now. She's fine, of course she's fine. She can take care of herself. He lets go and watches the two of them affectionately for a second before falling in and hugging both of them at once. "Was it dark energy?" he asks sympathetically. "Was it a real ghost or youma pretending to be ghosts?" |
| Sugata Shindo | "I wasn't planning to buy another house unless one of you wants one," Sugata promises, "So we'll just have to make sure neither of the ones I already have become haunted. Between the five of us, I think we can manage that much." Wako is hugging him, and he hugs her back, and opens an arm for Takuto just before he crushes them both against him. "You wouldn't have left the others if it wasn't over, but... you're well?" Awkward, because he knows that she can handle herself, but haunted houses had more than one dangers, according to the movies. |
| Wako Agemaki | A little hum escapes Wako when Takuto piles onto her and Sugata, squishing her gently but securely between the two of them. "I'm not all the way sure whether to say it was neither or a little of both," she answers him, tipping her head so that she's not still talking into Sugata's cravat. "It wasn't a ''ghost'' ghost, but like... an onryou kind of situation. Homemade dark energy, the lingering grudge of a woman who died trapped in a marriage she hated." Takuto can maybe suss out why that would hit close to home for Wako. Sugata definitely can. "I'm really okay," she promises Sugata. "It wasn't even really a fight. The kitchen threw some dishes and knives at us and there was a big evil tree, but I purified the heck out of it so it should all be fine now." |
| Takuto Tsunashi | Takuto gets it. Takuto never met his mother, Takuto knows the island likes arranged marriages, Takuto knows that his girlfriend and boyfriend's betrothal wasn't their choice, and... ...he doesn't think they'd ever have hated ''each other'' but he knows, he knows, he's been told so many times, that he saved them from something like that. From being trapped forever... "The kitchen threw dishes and knives at you," he repeats, squished and a little breathless, a little incredulously indignant on Wako's behalf. "An onryou? You ''are'' that kind of shrine maiden!!" |
| Sugata Shindo | They're pressed together, the three of them a unit here, in this park at Setagaya's edge, plum blossoms rallying loosely against the wind, a ghost story that's all too real shared with them. Sugata lifts a hand to the top of Wako's head, a cross between patting her head and stroking her hair, because yes, he knows why it hits home all too closely. Their engagement is real, is their own, but only ''now'', because now it's their choice to continue it, as Wako and Sugata, rather than as South Maiden and Shindo. They hadn't hated each other, no, but a marriage between two prisoners, trapped by fate and magic, could have very well become a marriage ''against'' two prisoners, a chain they could hate. But that didn't happen to them. He looks at Takuto, the reason that didn't happen, and smiles a little. "True. Clearly you ''are'' that kind of shrine maiden. I'd say the least she could have done was give you a warmer welcome, but that's not exactly expected of an onryou." |
| Wako Agemaki | "Am not either," Wako pouts, seeming really more indignant over the whole thing than shaken by it. Now, anyway. "I studied up after the ''last'' haunted house Mamoru-san asked me to help with. Which belonged to the same guy, by the way. All Sanjouin-san's houses are haunted!" No, Wako doesn't like to think that she and Sugata could've come to hate one another. But love can, after all, turn sour when it's locked in a cage. The grudge that lingered in the house in Setagaya bore entirely too uncanny a resemblance to some of Wako's darkest fears, from back before Takuto came into their lives. She leans into them, wriggling one arm out to get around Takuto so she can give them both a squeeze. "Thanks," she says. "Sorry I worried you." |
| Takuto Tsunashi | The Ginga Bishounen doesn't bother de-henshining, because they're in a park and why would they walk like four miles or take a bus when they can fly. (Many reasons, Takuto.) After Wako turns it into a ''proper'' trio-hug, he lets go a little bit so Wako's not getting stifled or smushed too hard, then lets go a little more, still more than happy to be caught by both of them. "Should we go out to have a late dinner?" |
| Sugata Shindo | "...I'm not going to question how many haunted houses one person can own," Sugata decides, already seeing the madness that could tempt, "But Sanjouin-san should consider letting someone else buy his houses, from now on." The delivery is dry, but the words are sincerely meant. How many times can a single person end up with a haunted house without taking it as a sign? "We should go out to dinner. Shibuya's between us and home - we could go out and explore something new. I could order the entire menu again, for old time's sake." Sugata, please. (He's not joking. What are leftovers, to them? Wako's got an appetite, and they have plenty of friends.) |
| Wako Agemaki | Wako's stomach answers for her, via an audible gurgle, and she promptly looks a little chagrined. It doesn't stop her from smiling brightly. "Yes! I used a lot of drive and I'm starving. We should go to that all-you-can-eat Korean barbeque place - the one where they have the little automated robot carts to bring your ingredients to your table. I want to see them!" |
| Takuto Tsunashi | "Yeah do it! I mean odds are good we'll run into people we know anyway and invite them to our table, right?" laughs Takuto, bouncing on the heels of his fancy thigh boots. "I'm so glad the ghosts didn't get you!" He hugs Wako one more time, impulsively, and says, "I hate ghosts and skeletons, dead stuff should stay dead." Then he lets go and hugs Sugata one more time, lifting off the ground and dropping him about three inches, just enough to be mildly annoying and/or funny. "Wako-chan! Who do you want pushing your bubble? Or ~carrying you~?" |
| Wako Agemaki | "I just purified a ''house,''" Wako laughs. "I wanna be carried! One of you on each arm!" And she holds out her arms, spread to either side of her in invitation for the two boys to hoist her between them. Grinning at Takuto, she adds, "But you'll have to make sure to match your speed to Sugata-kun, so that we don't just go in circles like a festival spinner." Cheerfully impatient all of the sudden, she gestures encouragingly. "Come on, I'm starving! Let's go get barbeque!" |
