| Mamoru Chiba | They went to the Korma, and nothing's stupid enough to attack the Korma Chameleon: not when both sides like the food there. Plus, they went fighting earlier, be''fore'' the date, and that usually works really well. They have stacked the odds in their favor. Mamoru's feet are around one of Usagi's feet under the table and he's just finished dinner and is waiting to eat his dessert, even if he knows it's a dangerous game. He's drinking really really strong coffee, and he's dressed respectably except for the red tips in his hair. He's looking for something to talk about that isn't the future, or upsetting magical things, or making preparations for their families when the nightmares get worse-- he REALLY doesn't want to bring up Bliss-chan. He can't bring up where is Rashmi because that's asking about another girl on their date. "Ugh I'm going to have to dye my tips black again to meet Masato-kun's dad if I have any hope of getting that house for him." |
| Usagi Tsukino | It's a date. It's a pretty normal date, even, after they finish the pre-date hunt for a youma, this one not particularly gross, and not particularly difficult to fight. Korma isn't always the best date spot, on account of it being where ''many'' of their friends drop in, but the food is always excellent. The company of course, is great, even when Mamoru is obviously struggling to think of things to talk about besides the elephant in the room that is magic. "If he's as traditional as you've made it sound, you definitely will," Usagi observes, and the red tips amuse her. "You really fell for the red, huh?" She will never tell her husband it makes her think of Shadow the Hedgehog, even though it really, really does. Being compared to the world's edgiest hedgehog might hurt his pride. |
| Mamoru Chiba | They are absolutely also at a table with extra seats-- most of them have many more than two seats, but there's an arrangement that isn't inviting a whole classroom but which doesn't actually tell anyone to shove off, and that is the table configuration they're seated at. "It matches my aesthetic," Mamoru grins. "It's red and black! Maybe I need a white streak in there too, to really commit to the bit." |
| Usagi Tsukino | "Mmm, I don't know. Maybe you should try other colors, too! Like blue, or green, or even blonde!" This is an easygoing comment, but it deftly navigates away from aesthetics for the moment. "This has been fun! It's been a little bit since we had a nice date..." |
| Molly Skyline | Molly has Two arms Well, as close as you can get to having two arms after losing one in battle, anyway; thanks to some help from Setsuna her prosthetic has been approved and arrived and is now in use. So maybe she looks a little un-symmetrical given that her hands aren't the same color, but she has two. Long story short: She's still in the stage of doing things that are fun just for the sake of celebrating and showing up at the Korma for some spicy food definitely counts, which has Molly arriving just as Mamoru and Usagi seem to be getting their date started. Not that she's aware of that. She does, of course, immediately spot the couple, and throws up a hand (her prosthetic) to wave. And she almost gets it right, the fingers decide to clench into a fist instead of spread out, but otherwise it works. |
| Mamoru Chiba | "How about blue *and* green? One color on one side, the other on the other, but still just tips-- I like the feathery subtle look," says Mamoru, taking the course correction with grace and amusement. And there's Molly with ''two arms'' and a driver's tan, which is only appropriate. He waves back to her! and squishes Usagi's ankle, then lets go of it and slides around the table with his dessert, his chair not squeaking ''at all'', to sit next to Usagi instead of across from her. Fortunately they are mostly done eating! |
| Usagi Tsukino | "Mmm, that wouldn't look bad," Usagi decides after a moment, considering. "Maybe if you got someone to die some kind of ombre effect?" She's considering him even when Mamoru catches sight of Molly, and she lifts her hand to wave, and abruptly realizes that this isn't just a greeting, but an invitation, and she slants a glance Mamoru's way, realizing date night is over. It's not an upset glance, but it's definitely a glance, as she realizes that yeah, the private portion of this date is definitely over, and decides that she's more amused by it than anything. She leans against him, but with most of her skin covered by a cute blazer in a bright multi-color pattern, there's nothing to be read through the contact. |
| Molly Skyline | Molly recognizes the invitation for what it is, and comes over to claim a seat opposite Mamoru and Usagi. "Hey," she greets as she plops herself down, and tucks her backpack between her feet. "I hope I'm not interupting anything! Just, like, getting used to my new arm," she nods to her prosthetic, "And figured I'd treat myself to the best curry in town." The purplenette shrugs, leaning back in her seat to wait for a server to come and take her order. Since it looks like Mamoru and Usagi have finished eating. "So, uhm, how're you both? Been a little while." |
| Masato Sanjouin | Masato, who is dressed impeccably in exprensive busniess wear and tidy to the point of immaculate, pushed through the doors of the Korma while frowning and on his phone. Speaking English, everything he said sounded very professional-- smooth, deep and confident, easily mistaken for a man in his thirties-- but his face betrays him. He looks almost wounded. He pauses, glancing towards the table and offering an absent wave to Mamoru and Usagi, before double-taking Mamoru. And his hair. There's a long stare, that's hard to read, and he completely forgets to say whatever he was about to regarding his call. He hears a word like ombre, but mistakes it for hombre, and is filled with dread about whatever Mexicana Mamoru might be adding to his rotation on whim. Perhaps the taco thing is rearing up again, given he's just been to the US. Gods, he hoped not. Also, why did Molly's arm look like an odd sock? Don't star at it, Masato. He cleared his throat, stepping closer to the table. His phone against his chest guardedly and a hand in his pocket. "The red tips have returned, I see." He doesn't sound especially thrilled. |
| Mamoru Chiba | Mamoru doesn't currently ''try'', though he has plans for later. Instead, he slides an arm around Usagi's back on one side for a one-armed hug, and with the other hand he takes the first bite of his kheer, a delicious hot rice pudding. "This is really good," he murmurs, then slides it closer to Usagi to share in apology. Then he waves to Masato! and looks back at Molly, and smiles. "Been a bit rough, but things are looking up," he says. "I like your arm!" Then Masato's coming over, and Mamoru looks like a deer in headlights, then puffs out his cheeks in brief annoyance. "What's the issue, I can literally dye them back in the bathroom." Honestly Mamoru is incredibly unlikely to meet the only Mexican person who is a regular of this place. |
| Usagi Tsukino | "Just finishing up a date," Usagi says, and at least she's fond in her mild bemusement. "This is a nicer interruption than usual? A cool arm goes great with cool curry?" She's trying, at least, even if that was definitely one of the sentences ever spoken. Thankfully, there's Masato before she has to say anything about Molly's question, and Mamoru shifting a little closer, offering some of his dessert in apology. She takes a bite, never one to turn down food, and hums her agreement that it *is* good. "The red tips have returned indeed," she says in good cheer, "Though we were talking about making them green, or blue?" |
| Molly Skyline | Molly smiles, blushes, and looks down self-consciously at her mismatched hands. But, still, at least there's two of them again. "Thanks," she replies, "It's taking some getting used to and I have to practice how it works, it's not like, y'know, just suddenly having a hand again. It works differently." If Molly were anyone other than Molly, she might feel like she sticks out and not just over the hand; fashionably ripped jeans, a shirt that's got the bottom portion ripped off for a bare midriff, and a black hoodie with the zipper on the front left undone and a picture of Che Guavara on the back. Perfect. "The red tips...? Oh! Hey, those are awesome, they make you look like Shadow the Hedgehog except cooler." Apparently, to Molly, this is some kind of great compliment. And then, there's Masato. Is Masato staring at her hands? That's a thing that Molly's noticed happens ever since she lost her arm, peoples eyes are like hey there's a person and HEEEEEYYYYYY Wait a minute this person is WEIRD somehow and it's totally the arm. Or maybe she's just being self-conscious. Masato's probably not staring. She's just worrying too much. It's fine. It's fine. "Hey!" she greets, after taking entirely too long to decide that everything is fine. |
| Masato Sanjouin | Green or blue, Usagi says. Sapphire eyes shift to her, and he is silent and grim, and it takes all of his energy not react with a fierce and panicked 'No!'. His throat moves when he swallowed, and his jaw feels locked. "That sounds amazing," he manages, insincerely, through the teeth of a forced grin. "But you can't get this rich sheen and volume out of regularly dyed hair, you know." He holds up a finger, bowing off to one side to finish up his call. An abrupt but polite closing and a number spoken. It's a large number. Only when the call is done, does Masato pull up a chair and settle in. He seems completely oblivious to any kind of date that might have been happening. "It's good to see you out and about," He says to Molly, genuinely. |
| Amy Faust | Amy can enjoy going out sometimes! It is, she realizes, a piece of her old dream. Going out and living life. It's a bit like exploring the world of a game or an MMO, and talking to whoever's there, except it's Tokyo, and she's actually there, and even though she's not sitting behind a screen people look at her and see a cute girl. She's sometimes misread as cold and standoffish, but never as big and strange in a ''scary'' way. There's downsides, too, but for her it's a trade up. She's wandered to the Korma, thinking about the awkward period where people kept looking for Molly and now she's ''back'', they ''won'' and changed another piece of their life for the better, and that thought brings a smile to her face as she walks out into the restaurant. Amy's changed style up slightly, having magic'd up a black leather jacket and soft blue jeans to try the look; hanging over her red T-shirt is a thin faux-gold chain necklace with some metal rings ornamentally on the end, and her hand keeps fidgeting with it because it's in a convenient spot for fidgeting. Green or blue, she overhears. "Oh, like Earth? What's the occasion?" You look like Shadow the Hedgehog except cooler. Well now she can't unsee it. Amy smiles. "Yeah, you're way cooler than Shadow. Hey everybody, what's up?" She waves and approaches. |
| Mamoru Chiba | Mamoru just barely doesn't roll his eyes. "Yeah but I keep my hair relatively short, compared to yours. And it's ''only'' my tips, my guy. I can dye them black again with like two hours warning. You worry too much. We're planning on leaving in a little bit. Do you need it black tomorrow?" He pauses and tillllts his head at Molly. "Shadow the Hedgehog...? My hair's not spiky enough to be a hedgie," he says in confusion, but doesn't comment on the awkwardly long pause. Then a glance to Amy and Mamoru blinks. "No, Earth looks dark blue and white from space." |
| Usagi Tsukino | Usagi is baffled, for a moment, and then, "Oh, not for you Masato-kun! For Mamochan, I was thinking ''he'' could try a different color, instead of the red since -" And then Molly just out and out says it, and she laughs a little, at both Molly and at Amy, and especially at Mamoru, though not in a mean way, "Yeah, though I'm not sure if Mamochan is cooler, especially since he ''doesn't'' get that reference. Sorry, Mamochan I can show you later? But trust me, Shadow is ''Shadow'' and you are not cooler than him." He just drips cool! He was even cool in the movie! And he had that one silly game with a million guns for no reason! With this many people, dates are ''definitely'' bygone, and she tucks her mild frustration at that to the side, accepting that some things just - end, maybe before you're ready for them, and then deciding that realization feels a bit too heavy, and shoving it into her mental closet with extreme prejudice. "Nothing much, just finishing up a mental note," she tells Amy. The mental note is that Korma is ''not'' a place to go on a date. |
| Molly Skyline | Molly blushes a little further. It's good to see her out and about, Masato says. Well, she's grateful for that. "It's good to ''be'' out and about," she admits, "And not inhabited by a maniacally evil daimon; trust me, the novelty of that hasn't worn off." Molly bobs her head to Amy, "And, hey, nice to see you too," she adds, and takes note of the change of outfit. "Nice threads," she adds, echoing the lingo of one of her new favorite games now that she can actually play those again (more or less). Cyberpunk is definitely taking effort but it's a good way to improve her coordination. She'll even try racing games again when she feels ready. "Don't listen, you are at least almost as cool as Shadow," she adds, looking back to Mamoru. "Like, almost. It's close. That's a high compliment, I promise." |
| Masato Sanjouin | A nod follows, and Masato deflates a little to mutter, "Yes. He's in Tokyo, he flew in with me. I offered him the guest room at my aparment but Father said that he prefers a hotel." He laced his fingers in front of him, and his brows rose as he smiled politely at Usagi. "Natural hair suits him, too, though, doesn't it?" It's only when he notices the food and plates in front of her and Mamoru, and Amy's prompting of what occasion it is gets him thinking, that he realises there's been an interrupted date here and looks sheepish. "Sorry, to barge in on your dinner. My head's in Setagaya... I just had to let go of some assets-- not the Testarossa--" That was important. "But the other sportscars are... gone. I think I just sold the last to a private collector in the states." He frowns at Mamoru. "We can't let him see the house in this state." |
| Amy Faust | Amy blinks. And thinks back to the times she's actually ''looked'' up at Earth from the moon, rather than the iconic representation with green continents. "...Huh. Good point." Just finishing a mental note. Amy nods, "Oh, good to keep track of those." She smiles at Molly happy to ''be'' out and about and not controlled by a daimon, and smiles more at the compliment to her outfit. "Oh, thanks! I-I conjured them to try the look, though maybe it's a bit more Hinoiri than me." And she nods in agreement with Molly, "Yeah, he's like... a kinda edgelord charicature, and you're ''cool.'' Although I guess that depends on the audience. But ''I'' think you're cooler." She smiles again. And then looks at Masato in mildly worried confusion. "Huh? Is something going on? I mean... you guys' apartment is ''awesome'', if someone's snooty about that they're not worth listening to." She puts her hands on her hips. |
| Mamoru Chiba | "Should I be jealous of a hedgehog?" Mamoru asks, leaning away a little but still keeping his arm around Usagi, which doesn't work the way he thinks it does. He's trying to look askance at her, but it's coming out looking very silly. He wants to touch her to communicate. He wants to very badly. But he also knows he'd feel responsible for the sadness he halfway expects he might find, and he also knows ''it's magic''-- "You don't have to go back to the dorm tonight, right?" he casually asks Usagi, and then he laughs at Molly. "I'm cooler than fiction, sorry," he says serenely to everyone. Then Mamoru gets ''why'' Masato is so freaked out, and he sighs. "Next time don't bury the lede and I won't be so fractious. Does that mean we literally need to spend the night in a ''haunted house''? Dammit..." Mamoru offers his hand to Usagi, and if she takes it: oh the plans he had to make up for cutting this short, and he, too, is frustrated now, tense. But this is something Masato would have told him tonight either way, and it's fair, it's work as well as a promise to help. He looks at Amy again and shakes his head. "Nah. Masa-kun's dad is an asshole, it's a long story. But there are lies involved, so you probably don't want to know." |
| Usagi Tsukino | Yeah, this date is over-over-over-over and her interest in hanging out diminishes. Usagi's expression levels into gentle caring and concern mode because Masato is obviously dealing with a lot, and while Mamoru keeps people's privacy, she can understand that it's got to do with his family, and she's pretty sure the house is that awful haunted house that keeps staying haunted - and Mamoru confirms it, even offering to stay the night. She does not sigh in frustration, just looks a little more worried. "Natural hair definitely suits him, even if it's not what he wants right now. If you need help cleaning anything, just let me know, and I'll make time to help, okay?" And then Molly mentions things with Seriss, and it's not like friends aren't allowed to mention the bad things that have happened to them - they are - but when Mamoru offers his hand to her, she takes it with the purpose of extricating herself from the table and the situation, because there are two topics that are normal going on right now - one about selling assets, the distributing of items, even if the fantastically rich sort of items, heavy but real, and the other about Shadow the Hedgehog, getting slightly dissed by one and sort of praised by the other, and looped in around all that is the decidedly not normal. And she doesn't feel like defending a video game character she actually likes, or casual discussion of magical captures, conjurings of clothes, haunted houses, none of that. It had been date afternoon, and now it's general hang out time, and problem solve time, and Rashmi had suggested that Usagi retire, and she truly does not think she can do ''that''... but she can do this: head on out. There's her frustration to meet his, but already being slide down, because mostly her touch reveals thoughts about video games and studying and catching up with a few friends, instead of anything else. She is not indulging in her sorrow, she is not wallowing in her frustration, she is separating herself from the situation, and hoping that next time, those plans can happen, maybe. There's already a thin thread of 'well, this is just how it is, right?' that reveals how unsurprised she is that even a nicer interruption is still, at the end of the day, an interruption. "I simply cannot abide slander of my favorites, and thus must go," she says with faux seriousness, before shaking her head. "Not seriously, I promise. I really am skedaddling though, catch you all later!" |
| Molly Skyline | Molly's attention span basically shrinks to one thing. Masato mentioned a ''VERY FAST CAR'' and basically that's what the purplenette's brain is fixated upon now, and that's... that's basically that. "Wait... what cars did you sell?!" she blurts out. And then immediately turns beet red. Redder than the red parts of the Union Jack. Red enough to make a tomato jealous. "S-sorry," she mumbles, still blushing. And trying to hide it by clasping her hands in front of her face, since she doesn't have any tea or coffee or anything. Except her left hand isn't cooperating, the fingers don't do what she wants them to do. AUUUUGH "I, uhm, really love fast cars and I can't wait to drive," she explains, "Not that anyone who's known me for more than five minutes would ever be surprised by that." Usagi leaving is not what Molly was hoping for but at least it provides a chance to segway, "Have a great night, Usagi-chan!" she says as she's on her way out. "Take care!!" |
| Amy Faust | Amy looks concerned on Masato's behalf upon hearing his dad is and asshole-- But there are lies involved, so you probably don't want to know. She opens her mouth, closes her mouth, and looks thoughtful. "...I guess it depends, on if I'm expected to repeat the lies to someone... ...Someone who what? How does... whatever part of her is uncomfortable with lying, judge who deserves to know the truth? And is it more favorable to lying on others' behalf than her own? "...Well, I probably don't need to know, anyway, there's no need to pry. Good luck with the haunted house WAIT LIKE actually haunted with real ghosts?" And then Molly's excited about cars and she covers her face with her HANDS PLURAL?! Amy stares in wonder for a moment, and then can't help grinning excitedly, "Molly! You got the arm! Oh my god! How is it?!" Oh also Usagi is leaving but MOLLY HAS TWO ARMS! "Oh, g'night Usagi-chan!" Amy waves to her, smiling, and then looks back to Molly for DEETS and HAPPY NEWS! |
| Masato Sanjouin | 'What cars did you sell?' His babies, is the answer he wants to give. Oh, he could never part with the beloved Testarossa, of course, but the rest... Masato looks at Molly as if he could cry. He looks abjectly miserable over his losses. "Just now, it's a Shelby GT 500 on the chopping block. Most beautiful car of sixty-seven..." He sighed wistfully, openly mourning. "If the bastard will actually pony up the final offer. I might have to let it go for less than it's worth..." He shook his head, terrible news as it was. Molly, at least, seemed to understand the gravity of such sad parting. A sullen wave was offered to Usagi's leaving. "Yes, haunted good an proper, I'm afraid... near as we can tell." Masato clarified for Amy next, and he leaned in closer to Mamoru. "Why are they calling you a hedgehog?" |
| Mamoru Chiba | Mamoru looks both relieved and bereft for a long moment, finishing his pudding as there's car talk. He tells Amy, "It's... I mean no? But if you want to come help deal with ghosts, that you can do. You beat them with cuteness last time, right?" Then the prince reaches up to rub the side of his nose and take his glasses off to rub his eyes. "It's a video game character," Mamoru says easily, if sotto voce. "But the important thing is she's frustrated because we hadn't quite finished our date, and I feel bad about that, and I'm a little annoyed that plans were not shared with you and I beforehand, or I wouldn't have picked tonight as date night this week." Mamoru puts his glasses back on. "I've got a little residual frustration too, because I was going to make it up to her tonight, and now I can't. I'll come help you clean tonight. We may need Rei-san and/or Wako-san. All I can promise to be able to do is punch the ghosts and empathy psychometry psychic bullshit the plants. Oh, and talk to the ghosts, first, of course." But then he gets up. "I need to go dye my hair, text Usagi, and get out of my date clothes. My plan is currently to ask to borrow Minako-chan's compact and ask Usagi to use her pen, so we can look older and not be recognisable as Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba. If you got a better idea, tell me when we're on our way to the house." He's not mad, just regretful, and he waves to the crew. "I'm afraid I'm off as well," he says and heads to pay for their food. |
| Molly Skyline | Molly looks partially stricken. Her expression falls, and her receeding blush renews in intensity. "I am so sorry," she laments, "I did not realize I was interupting a date. But like, next time if you're on a date and I come wandering my dumb arse over you can totally say 'we're on a date' and I promise I'll understand." And then Molly is the rest of the way stricken. "You... you have to give up a Shelby GT 500? Why?!" And then her jaw drops, and rehingers itself back into position as she realizes she might just be rubbing salt into a wound. "I am so sorry you have to part with a, a... a work of art like that. I... I mean I won't pry or anything, but I hope the guy buying it doesn't make things hard by being a wanker about it." Oh but hey, at least Amy is talking about her arm and positively! "Yeah, just got it a few days ago!" And at least now she has something to smile about again, "It's... a learning curve, it doesn't work like my old hand did and I have to relearn how to have fingers. And they don't do things the same way or have the same range of motion, and the motors make noise every time I do literally ''anything'' but it's a hand and, like, I can do things again. Even if it's all really hard." And then mamoru is off as well, and the pained, kinda embarassed look returns. "OKay, you take care too," she says. |
| Amy Faust | Amy listens with rapt attention, looking over the arm, and then looking over the arm again with an engineer's eye, thinking about how the joints work and-- okay, she doesn't actually know enough about electric motors and mechanical engineering to sus out its capabilities from looking at it, actually. Mamoru is off to deal with ghosts(?) and Masato's dad who may be worse than ghosts apparently? "Um... well yeah, if you want help with the ghosts I'll come do what I can, good luck with whatever is going on at this meeting that you have to ''not be you'' at, yeah I def shouldn't be anywhere near that. Good luck!" She already said good luck. She looks back to Molly. There's car talk. "My first car was an old Subaru wagon. Well not ''mine'' but I was allowed to drive it. Then I had a Taurus that was getting eaten by rust by the time I moved here. It had to be sold as scrap back home." She shrugs. "So uh. That tells you my experience and how much I know about cars from a past life." She shrugs. Then she grins, looking back at the arm. "Your arm though! That's wonderful, though yeah, learning how to make your fingers fing again sounds like a pain." There's nothing she can think of to compare it to to understand the experience, though. "Anything we can do to help? Does it work with phone screens?" |
| Masato Sanjouin | Masato nods to Mamoru as he leaves, because it's as good a plan as they ever had, and thanks to his father,'s insistent pragmatism, they were out of time. There was no delaying this any further. At least they had some solid funds to tie things over. Even if they couldn't ''fix'' the house, yet, they might at least patch the problem long enough for the sale to to be made. Getting it off the market and keeping the public well away from it was the main concern... not being cut off from recovering Masato's childhood memories and any secrets to be known was secondary, but certainly important. Molly's horror made for an appreciated solidarity, though. "Well, bluntly, Mamoru and I have to trick my father into selling us my very haunted childhood home, and... he's very suspicious, already. Because all my business is tied up in the Sanjouin group, which he owns and I, er... spent most of my ill-gotten gains from earlier in life buying the cars in the first place..." Masato trailed off there. He didn't fancy divulging his past criminality too much. "A lot of Mamoru's wealth is also tied up in assets and investments. On short notice, we need the option to buy outright, and Setagaya isn't cheap." He shrugged some. "Besides that, I plan to use the remainder to open a bridal store." Amy spoke of rust, and Masato shuddered. "Amy-chan, that's... I'm so sorry." He made it sound as if she'd been through an ordeal. |
| Molly Skyline | "Well if I'm ever a rich and famous racecar driver, I'll keep an eye out for a Shelby GT 500," Molly promises. "I've never driven anything, but there's a nighteen-eightyfour Toyota Supra with a toasted engine sitting in a bay in my Mom's shop that I'm ''pretty sure'' is gonna be a present for me as soon as I can drive -- it was hinted at really heavily once I uhh, returned home, I think my Moms were trying really hard to cheer me up which I love them for. So it's no Testerossa but if I get my way it's gonna be ''fast''." And really, that's what counts. Molly catches Amy's look at her arm, and offers her a wan smile. "Technology will continue improving," she promises. Give it... I dunno, ten years, I'm sure I'll have an arm that's way more capable. But right now this is one of the best ones out there and I'm super grateful to Setsuna-chan for helping me get it. I was worried I was gonna end up with one of those pinchy-claw things." And that would suck. "Hey, no need to elaborate about ill-gotten gains," she adds, flashing a smile as the food she stealth-ordered during the conversation arrives in a take-out container, and she stands up with it. "I gotta go study though. I've got ten months to catch up on to make sure I hit University at the same time Rashmi-chan does. Night night you two!" |
| Amy Faust | Amy blinks at Masato's explanation. Well, matters of money are more for Mamoru, Setsuna-chan, and Shindo-san to handle, not her. She just nods at the information. She's not sure what to make of how he's talking about driving a rusting old car. "I mean... it was a '99 Ford Taurus, and it snows where I lived so the road salt every year kinda..." she shrugs. She can't imagine a new car would have driven all that differently, right? It's like someone saying 'I'm so sorry' at a regular part of life you can't imagine being different in an important way. She can't even be offended because she's not sure exactly even what he's sorry about. She thinks maybe he's kinda feeling for the ''car'', but... "It did the job. It's not like it was a beloved possession I took a lot of care of... Didn't really have any ''things'' I cared about, back then..." She shrugs. "Good luck with the GT!" She grins awkwardly. "I don't know much about cars. Read a story once about someone street racing in high school that probably had more about cars in it than I've heard from anywhere else, heh." Folks leaving get a smile flashed back at them and a wave. "See you back at school!" She's still got to get and eat her food! But it's great talking with friends. |
