Scene #2954: EL MATADOR

Mai Elcamino	It doesn't matter what you were doing; it's early Saturday afternoon and nobody's in school, not even people who spend too much time in school (or detention.) It's sunshiny and unseasonably warm, and people are out in shirtsleeves with light jackets over their arms, or worn very loosely, or without them at all. Everyone's stocking up on vitamin D except for the poor people stuck working indoors on a sunny Saturday. In other words, the sidewalks are crowded and there aren't many cars and what cars there are are ''in Mai's way'', and ''so are the people in the crosswalk'', and ''right outside the school'' Corona henshins in her car. "Pelotillero!" she can be heard through the open window, seething, "Attend me!" << ding~! >> << AT ONCE, MISTRESS~! >> Most of the lightshow is muffled by car, and any floating or spinning is overruled by seatbelt, and Corona parks illegally and storms out of her (very expensive) car, yelling, "ESTEBAN! EL MATADORRRRR!" and pulling her hands apart quickly to 'appear' a sword, which she HURLS at the ground right in the middle of the median near the Mitakihara gate of the school don't ask, and a HUGE demonic five-eyed three-horned spike-backed BULL with a giant mouth with enormous spiky teeth that stretches all the way back to where it should have shoulderbones. On, and the front of its five-eyed face is kind of half-skull. Silence falls but for the scraping of one red-glowing demonic hoof on asphalt. "Flier Fin," Corona says a little nervously as her wings poof out behind her and lift her aloft, Pelotillero echoing her cheerfully. Then she turns around, frowning. "Esteban?" There's a blue-skinned guy -- who looks familiar to any one of the people who fought her with the dark energy rats in the shotengai that one time -- and he's in a bright red and gold matador costume, every detail lovingly correct but somehow ''more''. He's crouching behind her car, staring at the bull. Mai's car is red. Her eyes widen. "No!" she yells, and swoops down to kick Esteban out from behind her car, bright red cape flaring out and ''moving'' and the bull is already charging, ripping up the pavement as it goes. Esteban scrambles to steer said steer with his cape and sword, yelling, "TORO! TORO!"
Makoto Kino	It's a lovely Saturday, an early visitation of spring. Makoto had been waiting at the crosswalk for the light to change, enjoying the weather and in no particular hurry - which means she has a front row view to Corona and the appearance of that massive monster bull and everything else. She kind of stares for a moment. "Excuse me?" It's not exactly directed at Corona, more of an incredulous exclamation to no one in particular as she witnesses Corona punting her weirdly hot blue youma dude out from behind her car towards the beast. Belatedly, Mako realizes she ought to henshin and hastily grabs for her henshin pen. "Jupiter Power - Make Up!" Electricity flares and swirls around her, transforming her from Makoto Kino to Sailor Jupiter. With a powerful leap, she launches herself into the intersection, pretty much right in the middle of whatever Esteban is trying to do. "What is this even supposed to be about?" she wonders, hands on hips. "It would serve you right if your monster wrecked your car!" As the demon bull builds up a charge, she throws out her hands, scattering a rush of petals into the air and into the monster's face. "Flower Hurricane!"
Nanoha Takamachi	Nanoha Takamachi is outside the gates. She looks down at the errand list. Check purchase orders. Check. Nod. Yes. Everything is in! She double checked that today, she just called them. She even has her phone out. She has to... let's see... ask about the flour delivery for the Cafe. Why does her family trust her with such important things? Because she's good at it. She's responsible, and helps her family! She looks up in time to... uh... Huh that's a lot of cow suddenly. What's this about now? She watches as the chaos unfolds as she watches the device user float up after making a youma and she just calls out. "Raising Heart, set up!" < Get Set! > goes Raising Heart as Nanoha Takamachi just transforms, there on the sidewalk, not caring if everyone and Madokami sees her right now as she jumps, flier fins taking hold at her feet as she flies up and says. "Hello. I'm Nanoha Takamachi, why did you have a cow?" she asks. She might mean in various ways as she looks down at the rampaging bull as Sailor Jupiter appears to throw petals into the face of the monster. Nanoha responds by blasting Shot Barrets down at it from her position, balls of light that turn into laser spam quickly down at the monster, trying to get it's attention.
Miho Inada	Well, Miho is kind of out of sorts. Its a bit warmer then she would like far too soon. She mutters a bit, but figures it might be a good time to go shopping for a yukata. She has a few back home, but she doesn't want to go through the trouble of going home to get them, and coming back to Tokyo. The girl made a quick call to her dad, and well, Mom overruled Dad on this particular purchase. Miho was given a fairly high budget to go buy her yukata. So sure its not exactly a designer yukata, tailored to her, or overly fancy. It's elegance comes from how it is worn. Miho liked it, and it was modestly high priced. The girl bought it, and made her way back towards the school. She was planning on trying it, and letting Amy see it. That was...before a demonic bull appears in the street. What the hell? And on top of that, its a demonic bull? This annoys Miho on a level that she didn't think possible. Miho ducks down an alley way, and puts the bag with the yukata down. She henshins into Yukihime, and then blows out a few snow bunnies, a snow owl, and a snow swallow. She looks around for a second. "Guide the buns home.", she tells the owl who takes flight. The bunnies grab the yukata bag, and start running almost cartoonishly after the owl. The swallow takes flight looking around as Yukihime calls out her naginata. "Only one person I know would dare to summon like this out in public. Did Daddy finally unground her?", Yukihime asks a little outloud before looking at blue guy. She lets two beads fly off her wrist, and snow flies around them to form a couple of snow wolves who stand by her side.
Rashmi Terios	It's a wonderful Saturday afternoon, and Corona is a horrible jerk. This is the first thought that flits through Rashmi's head as the villain rises into the air above the massive demon bull. "Seriously?!" Rashmi cries... and then there's a flash of magenta light, which means Nanoha's on the scene. ...Suddenly the need for a Barrier has more than doubled. "Nicomachea," she calls out as she dashes to the nearest bit of cover, "Set Up: Exia Mode!" << BONG! >> << COMMAND INPUT EXECUTE >> One golden flare later, Rashmi soars up to Corona's level in the air, one hand rising skyward. "Time-Space Barrier!" << BONG! >> << TIME-SPACE BARRIER >> The world is soon cast in a warm sepia filter, as the Barrier spreads to encompass the school grounds, and a couple blocks beyond -- incidentally saving Corona's real car... maybe -- and giving the warriors room to really unleash. Meanwhile, she stabs a Look down at Corona. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
Mai Elcamino	The enormous demonic bull skids and tries to backpedal, and in its hurry to get away from the enraging petals in its face, shaking its mighty head-- or rather the top of it, because its skull is... special. Either way, the end result is wildly flailing horns, one of which keys someone's car about four inches deep and slices off the side mirror; people in the car are screaming and piling out the other side of the car-- actually there's a LOT of screaming and running now, and Corona is ojo-laughing in the air with her seraphic white-and-purple wings spread wide and gently waving. "They were all ''IN MY WAY!'' What clears the way like a raging bull? Nothing, that's what!" she cackles toward Nanoha as the bull rips the car door off in the process of pulling its horn out. It wings the car door at another car, then starts charging for Jupiter again. Esteban is ''so relieved'' it's charging for Jupes and not him, and you know what, he is definitely looking for escape paths. "Jefa! Jefa! JEFA! Soy amante, no matador--" he cries out to Corona. Her eyes widen and there are practically stars in her eyes. "Problema de habilidad, mi amor," she tells him lovingly, and blows him a kiss, and he catches it and holds it to his heart and looks like into the valley of death rode the six hundred. That's like, ''as'' Nanoha is shooting the barrets at the Demonic Bull, which means when Corona turns around, she sees the bull veering away from Jupiter to see what the hell is hitting it so hard it's rocking its massive bulk; its huge crocodile-like jaws snap in the air, trying to bite the barrets and realizing that's a terrible idea and roaring. "She got a raise actually," the blue guy, Esteban, says to Miho with a Mexican accent to his Japanese. Corona turns and pouts at Rashmi. "Wrong with me?" she repeats. She rolls her eyes and doesn't even ''answer''. She deliberately turns her ''back'' on the sunshiny Device Mage and flips her off over her shoulder.
Makoto Kino	"A lot, I'm guessing--" Sailor Jupiter calls out to Rashmi, in the absence of a verbal reply from Corona herself. At least now there's a barrier up, which means no civilians in the crossfire... and just now, Mako's feeling inspired to be annoying. "Hey!" This time she's yelling at the giant monster bull. She's also throwing little bolts of electricity at it from her fingertips, each time hopping a few yards on the diagonal - not a full bolt of lightning, just flicking fine lances of voltage, trying to kite it around to put herself between it and Corona's car. "What was the word - toro! Toro, toro!" It's almost like she's ''trying'' to make the thing mad.
Miho Inada	WHAT?! She got a raise?! Yukihime glares at Esteban. "She got a WHAT?!", the girl asks. "Oh, no. This is so...not right.", she hisses. The yuki-onna looks at Mai for a long moment. She breathes out. The swallow flies high in the air, and then does a dive. Its moving at a very high rate of speed, turning into a high speed...snowball. Yukihime is aiming to hit Mai in the face with a guided snowball! Sure, its not going to do any actual damage, but...it might be distracting. Ish. Yukihime weighs her options. She doesn't have the fire power to actually damage the bull. She changes the naginata to her bow, and fires several arrows of ice at the bull. She frowns a little bit, fully knowing she isn't going to be doing much to harm the youma. The wolves stay close to Yukihime, protectively. The girl breathes out a little bit. Then she thinks of something. Why do they call it a bullseye? Cause you're trying to hit the bull's eye. For now, Yukihime is taking her time, and taking aim. She doesn't loose the next arrow just yet. She wants to make sure she can hit her target.
Nanoha Takamachi	Nanoha Takamachi eyes go wide as Corona does a VERY ADULT THING and FLIPS OFF RASHMI. "OOooooh you can't do that! Didn't your parents ever tell you that's bad!?" the young girl admonishes. Or try to. Because can Corona even feel self-shame like that? But Nanoha doesn't know that. "Oh it's a cow. It can't... cow me from this distance." she says as she aims down at the Bull and then calls out. "Hammer Shot!" < Hammer Shot! > calls out Raising Heart as a massive slug of energy launches from Raising Heart in a shotgun like manner trying to aim right for the skull. Boom. Headshot man, Headshot!
Rashmi Terios	...Corona just flipped Rashmi off. CORONA JUST FLIPPED RASHMI OFF WHAT-- ...actually no nevermind. There is a correct answer to that. "...Makes sense," Rashmi answers negligently, as though the gesture said everything she needed to know about Corona. And, honestly, it kind of did, if she whistles up a bull youma just because traffic sucks. Instead, she turns to the bull, to see that the others have a pretty decent handle on this. So... How to help, how to help... ah! << BONG! >> << SOLAR BARRAGE -- GLACE SHIFT >> The answer is Barrets by the dozen, sticky icy Barrets walked around the bull's stompy hooves. Perhaps it's too mighty to be stuck to the ground for very long, but, ice buildup is always a problem when you have that much bulk to shift.
Rashmi Terios	...Corona just flipped Rashmi off. CORONA JUST FLIPPED RASHMI OFF WHAT-- ...actually no nevermind. There is a correct answer to that. How to help, how to help... ah! << BONG! >> << TERA ACCEL -- BOOST UP >> A trio of wispy balls of light resolve around her, darting off to bring her friends a brief, but noticeable, boost in move speed. Hey, if folks want to hit the bull and upset it even more, Rashmi is absolutely happy to let them escape the consequences of enraging a bull.
Mai Elcamino	"Why do you keep talking about cows? Yes that is a demonic bull!" Corona asks Nanoha aggrievedly, "And I used it ''appropriately'', the finger! I used it as my sainted mother taught me! It's for when someone's not even good enough for an ''insult.'' And people who make me look bad in front of my boss, even ''if'' I got a raise out of it, are not good enough for ''anything''! They don't have the right to ''speak'' to me." Meanwhile, below, the bull is seeing red in all five of its eyes, and the three horns on its head lower as it scrapes its foot and charges Jupiter again!! It's fast and it probably weighs a car all by itself. Mai's ... beef ... with the city of Tokyo is lorge, and it's headed straight for Jupiter in front of Mai's car. Honestly a bull youma because of traffic sucking is such a step down from a zombie apocalypse over a broken nail, but Hawkmoth can only make one Akuma at a time. The headshot Nanoha levels at the bull messily knocks a horn off the skullface part of its head and okay also part of its demonic jaw, and yet AND YET it PERSISTETH. Its maw is huge and it's coming directly at Makoto-- --and then Corona gets hit directly in the face with a snowball and nearly falls out of the air, shrieking invectives in Spanish as she swoops at the last second, wiping snow off her face and smudging her makeup. "Esteban! Stop looking at me like that and ''attack the sparkles'' what-- OKAY FINE," and Mai swoops down again, this time to pick up her weirdly hot blue youma under the arms and lift him up, up, and she calls out, "Pelotillero, door! Valio madre-- MY CAR. Aaaaaghghghhh!!"
Rashmi Terios	...Okay wow Nanoha half knocked its block off, well... The way the current battle's going, there's only one more thing to do, because the other three do have this super in hand! << BONG! >> << TERA BARRET -- BOOST UP >> This time, a boost to ranged attacks; partly in honor of Yukihime's snowball skills, partly so Corona can see what an air-superiority Devicer can really do. "I'm sure you did your best, Corona-san~!" she calls after the retreating villain, currently suffering the Consequences of Her Choices.
Makoto Kino	The beast charges, at least a car's weight of furious dark energy beef and horns at full tilt, and Sailor Jupiter? Sailor Jupiter ''grins.'' "Supreme--" The timing would be dicey as anything, but Rashmi has given her a temporary speed boost and Makoto makes the absolute most of it. A bare instant before those three horns make contact, Jupiter ''vaults'' into the air, straight-bodied, heels over head and one arm stretched downward tracing an arc of electricity in the air as dark clouds roil in overhead out of nowhere between one breath and the next and the sky within Rashmi's barrier growls. "--THUNDER!" The lightning bolt blazes down. It meets Jupiter's heels at the apex of her arc, momentarily outlining her as a silhouette against and within its blazing energy on its way downward, following the line of her arm and slamming into the charging bull. (And probably also the car.)
Miho Inada	Yukihime tries not to giggle at hitting Corona in the face with a snowball. She'll have to think about how to do something like that more often. She is a princess of snow and ice. Maybe she'll talk to Miburo about how to do that. Either way, she has a demon bull youma to deal with. The yuki-onna takes a deep breath, and lets out a small breath that has that strange blue fog to it. It seems to float down to the arrow. "Blizzard...of...Arrows.", she breathes out. The sparkle lets loose the arrow. While it flies, the arrow splits apart into 5 separate arrows, one for each eye. As the arrows fly towards the eyes, as they get closer, the arrows shatter again into a blizzard of needles flying directly towards the eyes of the bull. Yukihime lowers the bow a bit. She can still draw and attack if needed, but she's watching Corona a bit. The wolves stand by as they howl silently, as if announcing something. The girl offers a small smile. She knows she has more work to do compared to the others, but it feels nice to finally be...helpful.
Nanoha Takamachi	Nanoha Takamachi looks very very sad suddenly. "...wow. Your parents must not..." she trails off a moment a bit as she doesn't finish that sentence and chokes on it a little as she looks down the shaft of Raising Heart, before frowning a little. "Still I can't let your monster hurt anyone today!" she says as she dashes into the sky and aims down at the bull. "Time to make a hamburger.... Divine....!" she calls out, a large burst of energy gathering at the tip of Raising Heart. < Divine... > "...BUSTER!" < ...Buster! > calls out Nanoha, urged on by the sudden influx of a boost to the attack from Rashmi, a BOOSTED Divine Buster shooting out suddenly from the ball, a giant laser that aims to engulf the entire bull and try to help wipe it off the grid in a fell swoop. "...now I actually want a hamburger. Can we go to WcDonald's after this?" she asks.
Mai Elcamino	"LA LA LA NO RIGHT TO SPEAK TO MEEEE," Corona yells in Rashmi's direction, lugging Esteban through the air toward the door Pelotillero has opened for her. The charging demon bull truly thinks, with a giant chunk of bony jaw and a horn missing, that it's going to gore ''Sailor Jupiter''. Instead, as Jupiter leapfrogs over it and fries it with Tera Boosted Supreme Thunder, it plows into Mai's car and sandwiches it between itself and the two cars behind it, and there's such horn honking and so much airbag explosioning and SUCH a roar and yes, the smell of grilling steak but ''demonic''. The bull is thoroughly stuck and dying, trying fretfully to yank its head free of the smashed car and managing to lift the front of the car with its mighty head instead of freeing itself-- AND NOW IT CAN'T SEE EITHER, and it roars, blinded by Yukihime's bolts and scraping its hooves deep into the asphalt, making ruts... ... And then there's a ''crater'' where there used to be a bull welded to the remains of a car. Corona decides, wide eyed, that she is not going to get hit by that, and she and Esteban ''leave''.
Rashmi Terios	"...Y'know what," Rashmi says, floating down to alight next to the crater, "...WcDonald's it is. I wonder if they're still doing the Alley Fighter collab, a Myu Burger sounds amazing. Good job, everyone!" Corona's quiet departure is marked, and well understood. Between the thunder, the ice needles, and the crater... Rashmi wouldn't want that smoke either. It's a relief they're all friends.
Nanoha Takamachi	There'sa crater where a bull used to be in a barrier and Nanoha Takamachi watches Corona leave with a sad face on her tiny face. She then turns towards Rashmi. Who seems to know that girl. "Who was she?" she asks. She has questioons. She then ohs. "WcDonalds!" she goes, immediately distracted by the idea. She wants that burger now. She has a craving for beef suddenly. For no reason at all. Not that they weren't just fighting a giant bull.
Makoto Kino	Sailor Jupiter sticks the landing, smoldering a little from the amount of voltage she just channeled and still grinning kind of like a maniac. Pushing her hair back from her eyes, she turns to the others. "I could definitely go for a burger," she agrees, and flashes a thumbs-up. "WcDonald's!" A beat; she glances toward Rashmi to add, "Nice buffs. It was pretty satisfying to get to see that thing smash up her car... even if it's only smashed in the barrier."
Miho Inada	Yukihime breathes out, and the wolves shatter before the beads return to her wrist. She didn't need to use them this time. The mahou walks behind a car, and there's a flash of light before Miho appears on the other side. "I don't like her. She perverts nature.", the girl says. Miho hisses a bit angrily before blushing. "My apologies. Its...just...as Yukihime, I feel disgusted by her...creations.", the girl says with a sigh. As everyone talks about WcDonald's, Miho nods her head a little bit before looking around for her wallet and purse. Son of a Bunny! The snow bunnies took her purse, which had her wallet! And then her stomach rumbles! "...Water for me.", she states..."The bunnies stole my purse..."
