Mamoru Chiba The last time Amy was in Mamoru's dreamscape, it was just the same courtyard attached to a rocky seaside villa. This time-- after having been given a rose and told goodnight, after going back to her dorm, after going to sleep-- Amy will be greeted by Mamorin, dressed like a princess who doesn't like skirts and does what she wants. "Careful of the back wall there," her voice comes as if from underwater as Amy 'wakes up' and comes through the door.

There's a reason for that-- and Mamorin steps behind her wife, moving to gesture toward the side with the door with grape vines climbing over the top, the entrance to the labyrinth. There's some kind of terrible miasma rising from behind the door and dissipating as it gets into the sunlight-- but it doesn't drift over the wall at any point.

"It's not a gas or anything," Mamorin says, flipping her cape back, "it's to remind me not to go to the Dreamscape that way. It won't hurt you it's just not fun. Do you want to stay here, or go into town~?"
Amy Faust     Amy is brought to lucidity immediately, saving her from whatever shenanigans might've started if she had her own dream and then got pulled out of it -- she's just Amy, although still in the default dream outfit (jacket but it fits her, red shirt, black cargo pants, sneakers)

She blinks, and sees Mamorin, and grins, "Zag, is that-- nah I did that joke too many times already." But after nodding at the explanation about the miasma, she steps forward with arms spread in a 'look at this!' gesture. "But did you wake up that way, or did you already manage to shapeshift on purpose in a dream? Hella cool if you did it on purpose!"

Amy blinks. "Wait, did you say there's a whole ''town''? ...Is it full of like, dream-people, or...?"
Usagi Tsukino Mamorin's wife is indeed standing nearby, in her Sailor fuku, though she's quick to assert, "I woke up like this, don't worry, there's no fighting!"

She can't promise there won't be any fighting at all, but she'd rather not worry Amy into think she needs to prep for aggro.

"It's a town from Endymion's memories, but it's empty; it's like the villa, all place, no population." She joins her hand with Mamorin's, smiling that they still fit together just right. "But Mamorin ''did'' figure out how to swap between shapes here, even if it's just her other shapes."
Mamoru Chiba "Yeah, sorry, plus it's my dream, so I exert a lot of control over it. It's just that since they're also memories, they reset. I'd actually be really creeped out if there were people there, since some people used to live full-time in Elysion, and ... well, the doors are all closed," says the Earth princess, ending with a little shrug and a sheepish look.

Her fingers thread through Sailor Moon's, and she ducks her head a little, grinning. "I think you know the place! You were in my townhouse, right? I recognised the dress you had from Serenity," she says to Amy. And then she says, "So, if you want to just hang out here, that's fine, too. Up to you!"
Amy Faust     Amy nods at Sailor Moon's presence and reassurance. Then double-takes at the villa. "Ohhh! Is it? I saw it from outside so briefly, maybe we approached from a different angle... I've never been inside, here." She does peek in the door, remembering back to the memory bubble.

And nods to Sailor Moon, "Thank you for the dresses, they ''are'' nice... although I guess most of them are a little ''too'' nice to wear to most occasions, heh."

She looks in the direction of the town, "While it'd be a stroll down memory-bubble lane to see..." Amy looks back to the two of them, "I'm more curious about how you managed it! I've struggled with it for... ages, although sometimes the turn-into-a-kid one worked... I actually tried to see if I could become a pony again a couple of the timesd we visited Molly? But I couldn't do it on purpose."
Usagi Tsukino "I haven't really gotten it yet, but it's something about getting grounded in your body and what you ''remember'' about your life when you were in that body... so you know, trying to be a robot or something might be harder, because you've never been a robot, but trying to be your old self, if you wanted, might end up easier?"

She shrugs, as they look about them.

"It's fine! I mean, they were dream dresses... and now I have a lot of my old stuff in the castle... don't I..."

She has not properly thought that through until now, and it takes her by surprise a long moment before she shakes it off.

"Mamochan's a way better active dreamer than me, I always just go with the flow."
Mamoru Chiba "Oh, this isn't-- this is my grandparents' house on the coast of what's now Tunisia. The townhouse is in the capital--"

--that they saw burning--

Mamorin breathes, and trails away from Usagi (unless she follows) to plop down on the bench in the shade. Refreshments are there, as ever. It must be the memory of a specific afternoon, a snapshot. She leans back with her head against the wall, a little crease forming between her brows. "Gods, I'd even take glittery ibuprofen for this headache."

Endy-chan's armor isn't actually armor, it's just a jacket and her trousers and boots, now. Her eyes close, and for a second she gets a devilish look, and then she's Hemachan. "Now I'm just doing what you do all the time, Amy-chan," she laughs, then oughs.

Eyes closed again. "Okay so... yeah it's, have a seat and close your eyes and tell me about what it feels like to be... whatever you're going to try. And as you're telling me, describing it, map it to your self image in the right now."
Amy Faust     Amy blinks as Mamorin clears up the misunderstanding. "Ohhhh. Well that's why I didn't recognize it, heh!" She grins awkwardly, then listens to Sailor Moon's explanation, and smiles at Mamorin. "Ooh, you got clothes changing too? Nice!"

She listens to Mamorin's instructrions, sitting with her on the grass.

And then opens her eyes. "Huh, how'd you get the clothes shaped for Mamorin though? You don't remember wearing them as ''he''--oh right." She looks down at her jacket. "I guess it just fits you how you remember it fitting, on your current shape."

Amy closes her eyes and leans back against the wall. "I don't know if 'grounded' is how I'd describe feeling in my old body, honestly. Even if I wasn't conscious of it, I spent as much time as I could in books, in videogames, on the computer... I'd be far less dysphoric as the pony."

She takes a breath. "We were... going with Hinoiri to get ingredients. And it was ''magical''. A whole other magical world, full of intelligent ponies. And it was... it somehow felt kinda normal, but also not."

"When I thought about it, I noticed that my body was in a technically impossible position, but it felt normal for that body? Sure I may have been walking on fingertips and toetips, homologically, but it's like they were... I mean, the shape was different so they had a broad flat hoof. That could also somehow grab things."

"Fur felt normal unless I was really thinking about it. You'd notice every little breeze moving the follicles, but like, that's true of hair on uncovered arms and legs... we didn't have to deal with wet fur."

"The mouth... hmmh... I'm not sure how to describe that being differently shaped but talking ''anyway'... and then there's... telekinesis... hmm... how do I describe it..."
Usagi Tsukino Usagi listens closely, as Amy talks through what it was like to feel the Pony body, and notes that she was trying to stay away from her old one - reasonable. Very, very reasonable.

"Was there anything you did in your Pony body that you could only do there? Thinking of that could help too. You're not really changing body, after all, just kind of getting in your own brain!"
Mamoru Chiba "Yeah, it's... haha, yeah, like that," Mamorin laughs, her voice quiet, looking at Amy with one eye cracked open. "Things like remember how delicious grass smelled was coming next if you didn't get it, good job."

A beat. "Try telekinesis. Get a cookie."
Amy Faust     "I mean... running around in the park was pretty cool... though I guess that wouldn't really be all ''that'' unique, the experience kind of was. Oh, and the song was wild!"

Amy's smiling at the memories, then takes a deep breath and remembers."

It's a dream. If her shape is based on her self-perception and state of mind, but she's not looking...

She's somehow both without it being weird, and then one.

At the suggestion, she opens her eyes and reaches out a hoof towards the cookies. "Oh wait, I need to use--" She blinks and looks at the hoof, and smiles, "Ohhh, that's neat!" She looks at herself, and then, not quite sure how to get up from sitting like this, flops over onto her side and rolls onto all fours. "Okay, hey hey! Oh, this is wild. I have a pretty vivid imagination, I wonder if I could manage forms I've never been...?"

Oh right, cookie! She looks at the cookies-- and then looks down. She can eat a cookie ''any'' time.

    *munch*

"Pteh! Why does it taste like ''hair?!''" She's still grinning, though!
Usagi Tsukino "I don't think you can change into things you haven't been too before, because it's still about like, memories and stuff, I think. Hinoiri-chan had to struggle to figure into it again for a little bit too, because it happened kind of randomly... but you did it, see!"

And then Amy eats the grass, and Sailor Moon bursts out laughing.

"Mamorin, you love me sooooo much! You're still doing it without even trying."
