| Coco Kiumi | "Master, Master, please stop! You are spending all of you energy! If you keep this up, you will die!" In front of the beach at Yumegahama Ward, Fuku is trying in vain to push back against the advancing figure of Michel, but the angel isn't responding. Pure white light fills his eyes, and he keeps advancing, muttering "I must fulfill my mission" over and over. Streaks of dark energy trail behind him, gradually reaching up to the clouds, stirring the currents towards Tokyo. At the city, a torrential downpour has started falling, and general panic has started spreading across newcasts on tv and the internet alike, with communications by the government asking people to stay inside their homes until the storm has passed. The streets have emptied rather quickly, and all that is left is the sound of the winds threatening to rip out trees and send cars flying, while the heavy rain hits the concrete incessantly. Mahoujin will be able to feel the intense dark energy being released from the coast of Yumegahama, and when they will arrive there they will already find Coco in henshin, about to fly across the city on the Live Stage, but she has yet to leave the beach. 'Has he gone mad?' the yellow idol can't help think, watching the weird show of Fuku's fruitless efforts. She cannot think of any reason why Michel would be out ''here'', and not right at school or at any of the Kingdoms. Or opposed by one of his own for that matter. |
| Madoka Kaname | The intense dark energy is... impossible to miss, even from this distance. Among the minidokas, it was Rens who felt it first. The feeling was familiar to those three who were once the Meaniedokas, and of them Rens was the one who paid the closest attention. It did not take long for Tia and Kamiko to notice as well, and then Homura. When Madoka realized that something was up, before she could even ask Tia was demanding to be her henshin choice for today. The reasoning? Because Tia has an umbrella. Moments later, Hope Blossom and Homura are hopping from roof to roof, trying to get closer to the beach. Once the rain gets too thick, the roofs get too slippery. Madoka nearly falls, but Homura catches her and holds her upright. "Careful, Madoka-chan. Watch your step." "Sorry," says Blossom, righting herself and regaining her footing. "This close, what do you think it is? It couldn't be--" Homura shakes her head. "No, that's not possible. Though the real answer might not be what you want to hear. Look over at the ocean" The raven haired Puella points to where Michel floats, just barely over the waves. Madoka gasps and her eyes go wide. "We have to hurry! Coco-chan is already there!" Before Homura can shout, "Wait!" Madoka is already hopping down to the street level and running ahead. She may have almost slipped once, but that doesn't change the urgency of the situation. Homura drops down after her and runs as fast as she can without timestop. When the pair finally arrive at the beach, Madoka runs up to Coco and says, "We're here to help! Do you know what's going on?" Homura is silent, though the way she glances in Yellow Pearl Voice's direction indicates that she has the same question as her partner. |
| Usagi Tsukino | The feeling of dark energy is impossible to miss. Usagi had been doing some homework (reading manga) when she first felt it, and her first instinct was to groan. "Oh, come on..." "All you were doing is reading manga," Naru points out, working through the problem set for their math class. "Go on, fo help them out -" "Well, since you're ahead of me in homework, you could go, and I could catch up!" Usagi counter proposes, looking at Naru with big, sad eyes. "Then we could both finish at the same time!" Naru is unmoved. "If I go, you'll finish reading that manga, you mean. If I stay, I'll finish math - and maybe chemistry - and then I can talk you through it when you get back and dry off." "...is that the best-" "Yes, that's the best deal I'm offering." And so into the torrential downpour stepped Sailor Moon. By the time she reaches the edge of the beach, she's running/leaping from the ground instead of from the rooftops - one slip, roll, and fall onto an awning was enough for her thanks - as she comes to join her friends. "What's (pant) going on?" she asks them, startling at the sight of Fuku and Michel. "Um - which... one of them is the youma?" |
| Amy Faust | Darkness at yumegahama ''again''. And a storm. "Dammit... I moved ''away'' from hurricane season," Amanda mutters. "First Walpurgisnacht, now..." now what? She doesn't know yet. Amy flies out of the sky on a rocket. It 'lands' in the sand after she jumps off... not looking very mahou at the moment, with red raincoat, waterproof boots, and a full-face helmet (for flying) replacing or overtop part of her costume. "WHY ARE THEY FIGHTING?" Amy shouts to her friends, over the wind and rain. |
| Coco Kiumi | With how hard the hard is crashing, Coco is really glad the Live Stage already protects her from environmental conditionz like the rain and wind. She will have trouble when she actually starts moving the Live Stage, but she is safe right now. She can only hope Hippo brought Cora to the Pearl Pier in time, and that the other otters are safe. "Hi, Hope, Flame, Moon and Red!", Coco greets brightly when they arrive despite the situation. Yes, she is indeed using a translation of Homura's name as her henshin alias. The first thing she does is make a Live Stage for one of each of her friends (though Madoka and Homura get a single larger one), so they don't have to worry about the storm either. "I really have no idea", she goes back to look at the advancing Angel and Fuku still uselessly trying to push him back. "And I don't think there is a youma", she tells Sailor Moon, slightly biting her upper lip. It does make solving this a lot more complicated. "I think we should go ask him. Fuku assists Michel normally. Her pushing him is weird." Her Live Stage (and the ones that were accepted) start moving towards Michel), advancing slowly through the strong air currents. "We have to ask Fuku and stop this quickly", she comments hurriedly. "What is going on here?", Coco asks Fuku, and the fairy stops fighting Michel at her sound. "Help me stop him, or things will be terrible!" is all the out of proportion bird says in response. |
| Madoka Kaname | Hope Blossom opens up her parasol, giving Homura an excuse to get closer to stay out of the rain. The two wait as others show up, first Sailor Moon and then Amy. Homura shrugs at their questions and spreads her hands. She has no idea. The Live Stage provides far better coverage, and Madoka smiles at Coco in thanks. When they actually get to Michel, the first thing that crosses Hope's mind is, "Has he... been drinking at all?" Homura blinks and winces a moment. "You think this is like when your mom comes home late? Not everyone is as pleasant as she is, you know." "Yeah but..." starts Madoka. "He's not really... attacking us yet?" Hopefully it will stay that way, she thinks, but also she can't help but wonder what the deal is. "Hey! Michel. Um. I think you're pretty far away from home, right?" Homura crosses her arms and closes her eyes. "I thought I've seen everything, but sleepflying is new." |
| Amy Faust | Amy has never heard about Madoka's home life, and raises eyebrows slightly at the mention. Do... ''do'' Dark Generals go on benders and throw darkness everywhere? "You want to kill all humans!" Amy points out. "We kind of want things to be your definition of 'terrible!'. If you want to persuade us otherwise, you'd better explain!" |
| Usagi Tsukino | The Live Stage that Yellow Pearl Voice expands over Sailor Moon is gratefully accepted, the Moon Senshi shaking a bit to get ''some'' of the water off, though her long hair slaps like thick spaghetti noodles against the wall of the livestage when she shakes a little bit too much. The news that neither figure is a youma is a little surprising - that out of proportion bird-person sure ''looks'' like a youma! - but she focuses up. "I guess they're the only ones we can ask," she murmurs, and when the Live Stages are pulled forward, she frowns as the bird-person - Fuku - requests their help. And then she double takes a little at Madoka's statement, though she doesn't comment ''right now''. "I hope the dark generals aren't going out drinking," she says carefully, though she's looking at Michel with ''real'' suspicion, now. Maybe he ''was'' out drinking. Maybe this is what happens when Dark Generals Go Wild. But with closer proximity comes awareness, and her eyes go wide: "Wait, this is the guy who stole Seira's life energy! That means -" she slumps a little. "That means we five probably aren't enough to take him down by ourselves, especially if he wakes up." |
| Coco Kiumi | Fuku breathes heavily as she keeps up her efforts, even if she really knows she can't stop him. Her eyes bulge when she is asked if Michel has been drinking. "He... You... He... What?", she stumbles through an attempt at organizing her thoughts. "Of course he hasn't been drinking!" For a second Coco too alternates between their white-eyed enemy still muttering about his mission and Hope Blossom, and settles on the latter. "You good? Do you want a friend over when that happens?" She may not be familiar with the dynamics of human families and has never actually met Madoka's mother, but she at least knows enough about that, and it's not really healthy. Her golden eyes fill with concern. "Please wake him up! You can discuss drinking later!", Fuku interrupts them frantically. "You start talking", Coco replies to her matter-of-factly. She starts singing, and one more Live Stage appears. Loving past the limits of the heart inside Finding out the reasons after all has died Holding on to hope inside a hopeless place Knowing all was worth it just to see your face All my love erupting in a fountain All my love ascending up the mountains All my love is reaching to the bottom of the sea All my love enraptured by your visage All my love outside for you to witness All my love I'd give to you so we can swim again The angel flinches at the purifying voice this time, and Coco's voice almost wavers at the realisation, but she continues, creating a Live Stage that crashes against Michel. He doesn't react to that however, but his movement seems to have slowed down for a few moments. "So, he just gets like this sometimes?" Coco asks skeptically to Fuku. "Yes, so really... Why, please, I beg you. Do you think his - gestures badly at the and his wings at the city - attacks would just be like this?" Fuku asks Amy. |
| Usagi Tsukino | Even the weird bird person is worried about Madoka's mom's drinking. On another day, Sailor Moon would wonder what that all really says about their lives, but today, they've got an angel to stop and - No, really, what are their lives? "The purification made him flinch, so... I'm going to give that a try," Sailor Moon warns, and her Crescent Rod appears in hand, the crescent moon shaped end glinting in the light that makes it's way through he clouds. She turns towards Michel and prepares her attack, carving golden light into the air. "If this hurts him, remember ''you'' asked for our help - and he'll probably feel better, when he's pure!" The golden circle fills with silver light, and purifying light bursts forward. "Moon Healing Escalation!" The rays swarm over Michel - and Fuku too, if she doesn't hurry out of the way. "Wake up! You're going to flood Tokyo at this rate - even if you don't like us humans, I thought you liked animals and plants?!" |
| Madoka Kaname | Madoka looks at Amy and Usagi's reaction and blinks. Is there something weird with what she said? It's pretty common in corporate culture, she thought, and Michel ''does'' work with Obsidian. On the other hand she's trying to imagine drunk Beryl or drunk Riventon and quickly realizing why everyone else might just quietly agree that going out drinking after work was a bad idea. "Ehh? A friend? What, no I mean--" Homura stands silently behind her beloved as if she's ''daring'' anyone to say ''a single mean thing about it''. "Junko Kaname is a wonderful human being and I'll not hear otherwise." Then she realizes the company she's currently with and she suspects the only one who's enough of a jerk is that tiny evil bird-human mascot over there. So now she's glaring at Fuku. Madoka laughs a little awkwardly, "Eheh... wonderful, and a little heavy sometimes." Coco starts singing, and it seems to get a reaction from Michel. Madoka blinks and then scratches her chin. "Does purification work here? Would he read that as an attack?" Homura, cautiously, "Do we ''want'' to be around when he wakes up?" Madoka winces, and then reaches for the Humpty Lock. "Well... Sailor Moon has a point, so... one way to find out! I doubt a single blast will really be enough to purify him or anything, but... Negative Heart: Lock On! Open Heart!" The heart-shape beam probably just bounces off of him, with the tiny heart outlines falling into the ocean, but this close it's hard to miss a target with the follow up purification blast. |
| Amy Faust | Amy, now safe in a live stage so she can open her visor and doesn't have to shout, looks at Michael. Looks at Fuku. "I mean. He's a BBEG who wants to kill all humans. So uh. Yeah? There's a ''lotta'' humans, natural disaster-like stuff seems pretty in scope." Beat. "...''Obviously'', something isn't going according to ''your'' plan. So what you're telling me is: He's not in control of himself right now. Which means he can't fight as effectively. Which means now is the time to strike." She conjures her rocket launcher and takes aim... well, she ''was'' trying to provoke Fuku into talking, but it looks like they're busting out the attacks anyway. "Here we go, then..." She switches to a giant artillery cannon, and while the purifications are going on, fires right at Michel! |
| Coco Kiumi | Homura has apparently taken Coco's offer of help personally, and the yellow Idol shakes her head. "I am saying nothing mean about Junko, but I only want to make sure Madoka feels alright by herself", she clarifies her position, and looks at the pinkette with the corner of her eyes. But they have bigger angels to fry. One especially big angel that is currently on the receiving end of two purification blasts and an artillery cannon. All my love across a yellow sky Trapped inside waiting to reach your mind All I have is what you mean to me Our bond across seven seas All my love across a moonlit night Held inside waiting to set you free All I have is what you mean to me Our bond across seven seas Our bond across seven seas Our bond is everything to me So when you're sinking deep Into a restless sleep I will guide your dreams to me A burning torch to light the way A promise that I'll never break Til nothing's stopping you and me Coco frowns lightly at Amy's eagerness. She is more of the same thought as Usagi, and doesn't think they would be able to take Michel down. 'Let's shield', she thinks, and her purifying singing coats the Live Stages with a repelling barrier. The three purifications mix together, and Michel grunts in pain, thrown to the side by the explosion of Amy's attack. He takes a deep breath, and white light bursts out from him, pushing away the Live Stages they are in like marbles, but not enough to actually gets inside. A second pass, and he resumes on his path. It's reassuring that the spheres of light don't actually have a floor, and they are more floating inside. Beads of sweat crown Fuku's forehead plentiful between the strain of her pushing, and the pressure she is being put under to speak. "His health is not the best, ok? He is still recovering from his return, and he doesn't need nosy people", she replies frustrated. Why does she have to rely on them on all people? She squints at Amy but chooses to say nothing about her exclamation. "It's your choice if you want to let Michel keep causing a storm on the city", she says instead. "You really should wake him up." |
| Madoka Kaname | Coco's response to Homura makes her feel a little guilty, but... she literally cannot help but defend Madoka. "Well, she lives in the dorms now, so it's not really a concern anymore." Madoka feels a little weird about the whole issue with her mom and says, "I'm fine, really. Like Flame-chan said, it's not really my problem anymore. Besides, she's never once been mean to me. Even when drunk." Homura says, "Well she was mean to that one guy--" Madoka interjects, "-- who totally had it coming!" The Puella shrugs, and then sees what Amy is about to do and winces. "I don't think it's that ea--" Shots are fired. Heck with it. She was wondering why they were floating around doing their enemies a favor, anyways. Madoka glances back to her and says, "Flame-chan..." Without waiting for more to be said, Homura says, "Don't worry about it. I know." Then she reaches into her shield and pulls out a box of firecrackers. "Would loud noises work? I hope our henshin armor will also protect our hearing..." Then she lights the box of firecrackers and throws it at Michel. Madoka covers her eyes for a moment, then looks up. "If it didn't, you'd probably have had hearing loss a while ago." Her branch bow appears in her hands and she nocks back an arrow. She charges it for a moment before releasing it, one bolt splitting into many, though these have been altered to be ''loud''. Madoka is playing off of Homura's idea, trying to make a lot of loud noise all at once. |
| Usagi Tsukino | "That's good! I'm just - surprised, I guess, but if Kaname-san is a salarywoman, that totally makes sense!" Sailor Moon waves her hands around, having noted Homura's protectiveness and getting it. She doesn't want to judge! Especially not to Madoka's very protective and very cool girlfriend with sixty bajillion guns! "I've never seen my papa drunk, but I know he goes drinking with his crew!" Drinking culture is ''heavy'' in corporate Japan, after all! Still, it's really not her business, and besides, she's sure even if Madoka didn't say anything, one of her ''seven'' chara would, if things were bad! Light blasts them all around like ping pong balls, and Sailor Moon eeps as they're knocked about. Michel hasn't woken up, but that was ''something'', right? Right? And then there are fireworks and sound arrows, and that makes Sailor Moon remember the obvious. The crucial. The - well... only option for making sure someone can't possibly hope to sleep through it. The Crescent Wand vanishes, and Sailor Moon calls, "Hey, cover your ears!" Then she turns to Michel, cups her hands, not around her mouth, but her odango caps, and ''screams''. "WAKE UP!" |
| Amy Faust | Apparently there is this whole ''thing'' going on with Madoka's mom and Amy's not sure what to make of it? She just... knows nothing about Madoka's family, and she's not sure she should pry. ...Is he even hurt? They may have made a mistake. Amy stumbles inside the live stage as it's flung back -- she's relieved that it doesn't roll like a hamsterball, imagine how annoying a shield like that would be! Somewhere, Keaka sneezes. "Oh, we just need to wake him up? Purification and shooting him in the face doesn't wake him up? What kind of alarm clocks do you use in heaven?!" When Madoka fires Loud Bolts, though, Amy gets the idea to run with that -- her next recoilless cannon-shot breaks apart into starshells and mortars, fireworks going off ''very loudly'' all around Michel! |
| Coco Kiumi | Fuku pales at hearing the plan they are about to carry out. Is this really what the mahoujin of Tokyo are really like? What has she gotten herself into? Why couldn't this morning be completely normal, and maybe just have to worry about which of those three knuckleheads will have to cause chaos that day? Maybe that Junko Kaname has the right idea. Now she only needs to find a place that serves people stuck in weird bodies... Love and loss I truly know them well To love the lost I would break through hell All my love across an amber sky Looking right at all the ways you shine All I have is you, my everything Our bond beyond seven seas All my love across the darkest night Waiting just ahead to be your guide All I have is you, my everything Our bond beyond seven seas Our bond beyond seven seas Our bond is every part of me My pearl Coco's song continues to echo around Michel, and the Ancient shakes his head, gritting his teeth when the fireworks start going off. The white light starts fading away from his eyes, gradually showing his normal blue irises underneath. Usagi's scream is so strong it displaces the rain, and flings Fuku away a good 4 meters, her mind dazed and confused by what just happened. She hates her life. Coco meanwhile had paid attention to Usagi's warning, and covered her ears when her supersonic scream covers up the melody of the Live Stage. Michel's return loooks completely to normal, and he starts looking around with a confused expression. "What is going on? How did I end up like this?" he asks, trying to make sense of surroundings. He picks up Fuku and keeps the the disoriented fairy closes when she notices who else is here. "You will want to hurry in retrieving the Spiral Shell, Mermaid Princess. You don't have the luxury of time." And with that he gives the other three mahoujin a stare, and disappears. "Just like that?", Coco wonders out loud, unable to avoid feeling like he went away rather quickly, and wondering what that cryptic warning was about. "Well, we did it", she smiles at everyone, watching the rain and wind gradually stop. |
| Madoka Kaname | Sailor Moon issues a warning. Homura pulls noise cancelling headsets and places one over Madoka's head and then places one over her own. Blossom reaches up to adjust hers and then ''suddenly she understands why there was a warning.'' She grits her teeth and presses the headset against her ears because ''damn'' girl you got lungs. By the time her ears stop ringing, Michel is awake and talking about the Spiral Shell. Is that the first thing he thinks of upon waking up? Hope Blossom looks up at the sky, then at where Michel and Fuku once were, and then at Coco. "Um... so... that was kinda..." Homura takes off her headset and comments, "Was he just doing that thing where you blurt out something random after waking up?" Madoka laughs sheepishly and scratches the back of her head. "... that was pretty weird." |
| Amy Faust | The '''''OMNICIDAL MANIAC''' on board with exterminating all the billions and billions of humans on the planet'' thinks they're monsters for shooting her boss. If Amy knew she would have more words about that. Amy starts trying to sync the rhythym of fireworks up to Coco's song, but at the warning she covers the sides of the helmet. There's ''something'' in there to help deal with her explosions, apparently, but she's probably been regenerating hearing damage since day one... And then Michel finally awakens. And then she braces herself, for an attack that... doesn't come. Just like that? "So it seems. Why does he care about whether you get the spiral shell or not? Isn't he gonna kill you anyway?" She blinks. "Oh right, I guess he's only planning to kill the humans... still, why does he care if you get the shell?" |
| Usagi Tsukino | Sailor Moon's Supersonic Wail is enough to disrupt the wind and rain, which she'll feel proud of later. ''Later''. Now? As Michel seems to come back to himself, she mostly feels ''nervous'', because they really don't have enough of them to take down a mega threat - Only... "Um... so he's just... being helpful now?" The guy who stole Seira's lifeforce before she could be born and wants to get rid of all the humans? Being helpful? Huh?! "That was... weird," she says, slowly, frowning. "I mean, maybe he doesn't want anyone else to use the Spiral Shell to cause harm before he... fixes everything by getting rid of humanity? But I'm more worried about him... doing ''this''. Again." |
| Coco Kiumi | Coco gives a sheepish smile to her friends. She has no idea why Michel would care about that, or why that would be the first thing he brings up after being snapped out of whatever that was. "Maybe not?" she tells Homura. "I didn't even think he would know about it." She sighs and lets the shielding effect fade from the Live Stages. "I have no idea why he would care. That's the weirdest thing." She certainly doesn't feel he is suddenly being charitable towards humans, and Madoka actually has it right. It's not like he was showing a particular change of heart. She looks away at Amy's question. "He... doesn't hate us. He hates humans for how they treated the planet." Which is a completely different mindset from what he had in the other timeline, despite humans being basically the same over there. "But why would he say we don't have much time?", she asks after Usagi expresses her own thoughts. "The Spiral Shell can do bad things in the wrong hands, but that can happen at anytime." |
| Madoka Kaname | Madoka and Homura look at each other for a moment, and then at the rest of the group. They each take off their headsets and Homura packs them back into her shield. Hope Blossom purses her lips together pensively for a moment, before looking towards her friends. "No, I don't think he's changed his mind on anything, and he's still the one who took Seira away before she was born and made Lydian cry. Even if I held back, it's because I didn't think we were ready for a real fight today. I haven't forgotten what he did, or wants to do." Homura frowns and flips her hair, letting it fall in the light of the Live Stage. "Whatever that was, I hope we don't have to deal with it again. I'm not in favor of being the personal alarm clock of my enemies." Madoka shuffles around a little uncomfortably. "Was there... something more we could have done, there?" |
| Amy Faust | Amy nods to Yellow Pearl Voice, "I mean, understandable that he hates us for that, but also, like... it's only a greedy subset of humans that did that." She shrugs. And nods to Hope Blossom at the bit about him not changing his mind, then shrugs. "I... with only us? I'm not sure..." |
| Usagi Tsukino | "It's ''not'' fair that he hates us for that, even if I think a bunch of humans have helped mess up the planet," Usagi says, frowning, "I don't know why he'd care, and I - yeah, I didn't want to fight him for real mostly because I didn't think we would win. For what he did to Seira, and what he wants to do... I'd rather he changed his ways, but I'm not going to go easier on him than I usually would my brother-in-law." Not unless she ''had'' to - like today. Because they weren't going to be enough. There had been more of them gathered the day he took Seira away, before she was even born. "I think we did everything we could." |
| Coco Kiumi | "We will rescue Seira one day", Coco states to Homura. "Just because today we couldn't take back any piece doesn't mean we won't another day. We will stop him too, just like we have done with those who came before him." Coco shakes her head. "It's not just because of the environment. That plays a part, but it's also because of the magical beings humans replaced", she adds to Amy. "He is not going to change his mind just by healing the planet." Even though she feels a lot more motivated with him specifically. The other villains didn't flip from a saintly patron to cruel enemy. "I feel he should have known better. We met him from when he never left Earth and was still safeguarding it, and he was a lot kinder, and treated everyone fairly", Coco tells Usagi. |
| Madoka Kaname | So, really, they did their best. Kamiko would probably agree with them, had she come along. Madoka lets her branch bow vanish in a burst of pink glowing petals before turning her gaze back towards the beach. "You're right. I'm sure we'll get Seira back. Good will triumph over evil just like it always--" Madoka catches a glance of Homura's expression, who is pointedly not looking at anyone right now. The pinkette smiles thinly and says, "... always has so far! Though, we shouldn't let our success rate trick us into complacency." Homura grips her arm, frowns, and tries not to comment. Madoka gets the feeling she shouldn't press it. Instead of responding to that, Homura says to Coco, "Right. The humans are just 'in the way' to him. Though Fuku has made it quite clear that they do not think well of us." |
| Usagi Tsukino | "That sounds like a version of him that's so different it's not even the same person," Usagi shakes her head, believing Coco but still finding it hard to imagine. "Like Beryl deciding to leave us alone instead of doubling down... even with what he's done, I'd still rather help him get better, if I can... but Seira comes first, and also the rest of humanity, too?" Madoka mentions how they can't get complacent, and she's right. "We've beaten every threat so far... this time. But there have been times and places... where we couldn't. So we have to be careful about the fights we pick... and the people we try to help." It's pressure on them, but they don't have an option to buckle under. |
