| Emi Hoshino | Everyone comes to lucidity, one by one, standing outside a house on a non-descript, fog-caked Tokyo street. The house is lit up in Halloween decorations, with music thumping from within. Jack-o-lanterns are everywhere, lit up and brightly burning, and the door is wide open. And they're not alone! There are all kinds of people here -- though most of them are faceless or masked in gaudy halloween classics. The wolf man, the zombie, Frankenstein. It's about as broad as one can imagine. Heading inside, they're greeted by more people, dancing to the music and chatting gibberish in the hallway. It's all very dream-like. Because of course it is. Emi -did- tell them they were going to be invited to a party tonight: her party. A thank you for all the help, and why not a way to celebrate the season? |
| Ikiko Hisakata | One of the more notable advantages of a Halloween party in the Dreamscape is that it's ''much'' easier to come up with a costume of your choice -- well, assuming you make the most of it, anyway. In Ikiko's case, she's going for a type of minimalism: she looks roughly the same as she normally does in street clothes, with the key exception being wolf ears and tail (in the same color as her ordinary hair, of course). "Thanks for the invite!" she beams to Emi. "It's nice to visit when there's ''not'' trouble that needs dealing with." |
| Rashmi Terios | Sleep has been... busy... for Rashmi, lately. With her primary nemesis sorted for good and all, her dreams are becoming more 'process and cope' than 'worry-fueled nightmare' which is... an improvement? Doubly so, when in the middle of tonight's dream -- A looping reel of Seriss getting utterly stomped by a finisher, only to rise again with another indignant complaint, only to get stomped again, occasionally turning into Corona during one rise/fall sequence or other -- she blinks into lucidity, and has *just long enogh to look at the dream and go 'yikes, this is probably not healthy' before being whisked away to... ...A haunted house in the middle of Tokyo? Having a *proper* monster mash? Oh Emi-chan, you are a *good* reluctant friend. Taking a moment to look down at herself, wearing the kind of Victorian red-and-black confection she'd imagine Emi would approve of (and really, how many girls *haven't* wanted an excuse for swish around in layers of tuille?) a few shades darker than her copper-colored hair, she adjusts her glasses, and climbs the steps of the house, grinning widely the moment she sees Emi. "Emi-chan~!" she calls, waving hello to herself and Ikiko. "This party is *amazing,* thank you *so much!*" |
| Usagi Tsukino | Usagi Tsukino ''hates'' Halloween. This is not a surprise to anyone who knows her, because at heart she is a scaredy-cat crybaby who most loves things that are comfortable and cute instead of spooky or scary. However, she also loves parties and hanging out with her friends, and a party in dreams could be really fun! Especially if it didn't require her to do ''anything''! She'd fallen asleep ready, and 'woken up' in a costume in a pink costume with a frilly white and pink apron and hat, golden spoon, and a parfait, which she devours, only to have it instantly return to normal. ''Jackpot.'' "Emiiii-chan! Ikiko-chan! Rashmi-chan!! This is great!" |
| Catra | So Catra got invited to a party. Like, whatever, parties are STOP THINKING LIKE A VILLAIN Right, yes. Someone is supposed to be a good person now. Like, how does that even work? It's not like you can just flip a lightswitch and dark becomes light or something. But, somehow or other, Catra realizes and understands that she's gotta make this work. If she didn't want to absolutely ''have'' to make this work then she probably shouldn't have given her two weeks notice at Obsidian in the form of helping to terminate Tellu's employment with extreme prejudice and then refusing to come back to work. So now here she is, having just returned to lucidity from actually a fairly good dream about chasing mice (shut up) and she's dressed up like the only thing she could think of: herself. In a black tuxdeo with actual flames on it. |
| Mamoru Chiba | Well-- Mamoru ''had'' been making the most of the Zagreus cosplay, but, it's a *cosplay* and he was actually at least tangentially involved in its construction! He's not going to ''dream'' it to perfection-- he's going to go for another kind of perfection entirely. When he shows up, he practically struts, because he is dressed like ... like a pirate adventure guy? Or? His pants are shiny and those are thigh boots. That tailcoat has its collar open like Kunzite's, but there's a hell of an ascot in place too. His hair is in some kind of pompadour, and there's warpaint on one cheek and a heart painted over the other eyebrow. He has absolutely remarkable stage makeup because ''he can''; his eyeliner is chefs kiss. So yeah that's a strut all right. Ruffled cuffs and all. "The New Romantics ''grew out of'' the punk scene--" he calls autodefensively in Emi's direction ''don't judge him''. |
| Emi Hoshino | -Is- that Emi? It's so unlike her. She's ... in pink. Pink, sweeping dresses with ruffles and ... ...sparkles? It's all very 'mahou shojou'. That's right. Emi Hoshino, Oneiric Guardian Emi, the Gothest Goth, is dressed like a classical magical girl of the highest order. The kind of thing she would never be caught dead wearing -any other night-. One night only. All the excited greetings seem to bring a little smile to her face before she leads the minside to the proper PARTY ROOM with BAND. There are Halloween ornaments everywhere -- no spiders or webs, though, she's a thoughtful host, even if KenKen is hanging out on top of a pumpkin. There are living paper bats, though, that flutter around the rafters of the tall room... and the band is making with the tune to, yes, monster mash. What else would you expect here? "I'm so glad you all could come," she says, happily, "take a night, and chill out I guess. Enjoy the punch," she points to the mystery blood red liquid in the punch bow, "dance and stuff." |
| Ikiko Hisakata | Ikiko waves to the others as they arrive. "Ooo, nice outfits, everyone!" she beams, nodding in approval/appreciation of the various styles, and giving Catra a small fistbump for similar minimalism tastes. Her eyes pause on Rashmi, and then the wolf-eared girl sidles over to the redhead. "So... when are you going to show Chrono ''this'' dress?" Ikiko stagewhispers with an impishly innocent cat-grin. |
| Rashmi Terios | "Oh Emi-chan you look *nice!*" Rashmi says, hands coming up to her mouth and eyes faintly sparkling. "And Usa-chan, and Mamo-kun *wow* and Ikiko-chan and--" Her eyes travel to Catra, and just *stop* for a second. "...Huh. ...Okay I get it." Happily she's saved from having to explain *that* to Catra, when Emi invites them to chill, enjoy the punch, and dance and stuff, the first two of which she's happy to start the second evening off with. But then Ikiko asks her question, and her face glows a red that nearly matches her dress. "...I have *other* dresses for him," she manages. "First one being my prom dress, *that* was a hit." |
| Catra | So actually, Catra has never been to a Halloween Party, so this is entirely new. She returns the fistbump from Ikiko, and lets her gaze wander to see what everyone else is dressed up like. Emi in pink is certainly new and unexpected; Rashmi going for maximum effect raises an eyebrow as well, as does the comment. "...Get... what?" she asks, brow knit in confusion. However, it doesn't seem like that question is going to get an answer. So, the feline slinks through the crowd -- taking note of Mamoru and Usagi and giving them a wave, all without mentioning things like, y'know, hair or knees or whatever -- and finds herself in front of the punch. Which she decides to try, scooping some up with a glass and sniffing at it. Sniffing at it twice. An experimental taste. She makes a face at it. What sort of face, is difficult to say. |
| Usagi Tsukino | "Mamochan! You're so cute!" Usagi squeals upon seeing him dressed so... so... HIMSELF. It's a look that's not like his usual clothes at all while somehow feeling just perfectly right. She bounces up to him happily and leans against his side, waving at everyone, including Catra. "Honestly, I could see you dressing like that in real life!" With this established, she makes sure to take note of everyone's cute (or in Catra's case, pretty hot) outfits, nods decisively, and tells Mamoru, "I'm going to try that deadly looking punch, because Emi-chan wouldn't let me die for real in dreams!" |
| Mamoru Chiba | Prince Mamoru leans down to kiss Usagi's head, then straightens up, grinning. "You're more adventurous than I. I'll try it if you say it's good." He waves back to Catra, and to Rashmi and Ikiko, and he tries not to actually actively stare at Emi. "A-are you Glinda?" |
| Emi Hoshino | Emi Hoshino says, "Well, not -intentionally-," says Emi to Usagi, which is about as much assurance she is going to give on Halloween. And then she's asked if she's Glinda and she double-takes at Mamoru. "N...no. I'm Magical Girl Emi, of course. Who else could I be?" she asks, a little innocently. The music up-tempos and the band -- which looks like it stepped straight out of the music video for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's 'Fashion Monster', gets to work playing another Halloween classic: Thriller! And yes, one of them is singing the lyrics. Properly, even. Setting this up must've taken Emi some *doing*. That, or they're in her own dreamscape. The punch tastes like ... punch. A little fizzy, sharp, with a trace of spice actually. Just enough of a burn to give it a little kick. Emi starts to dance, herself, even if it's not really her thing." |
| Rashmi Terios | "Hey," Rashmi laughs from the punchbowl, "if *anyone's* a Good Witch tonight, it's the one that can put on a party like this!" And when the band looks like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and the song that rocks up is *Thriller,* well. Even if she doesn't normally *dance* dance, this is a *dream,* and her father was enough of a Michael Jackson fan that the music video was a Halloween staple above the Korma Chameleon. And *since* this is a dream, she tosses back her punch -- pausing to appreciate sweet-sharp-spicy where spice was not expected -- and hops onto the dance floor. Because only in her wildest dreams would she ever imagine herself *doing* the Thriller Dance in a gothsplosion of a dress. And if this doesn't count, what *does?* |
| Ikiko Hisakata | Ikiko nods at Rashmi's reply to the dress question, then heads over to the punch. It ''is'' a pretty tasty punch -- one might even say it has a punch-y taste, given that spice kick -- and the wolf-eared girl enjoys it, while occasionally pausing to 'sing' along with the background howls in the songs. Because this ''is'' a season known for werewolves, after all! She thinks for a moment about Usagi's suggestion that Mamoru wear his outfit in the waking world. "Would he be the only one wearing it, or would Kazuo and the others have outfits in a matching style?" Ikiko inquires. |
| Catra | Catra watches Emi dancing, and that is actually something she does know how to do. Not that that means she's going to do it. The last time she actulaly danced it was with Adora shortly before stealing her sword and kidnapping her friends. And it wasn't the only time she stole her sword, either. That girl needs to be more careful with her stuff, particularly when by 'stuff' we mean 'Key to unlock She-Ra who is the only chance your side has of winning.' Catra still maintains she would've won that war if everyone had stayed on Etheria. And sometimes she still misses the Horde. Just not the Grey Kind, Catra thinks, as she sips the punch that's kinda weird but pleasant, as her eyes scan the snacks, looking for... basically anything that has meat in it, or at least might have meat in it. "So uhh... what do we actually ''do'' at a Halloween Party?" she asks, "Other than eat snacks and dance?" |
| Mamoru Chiba | It's-- a dream, so Mamoru's not entirely surprised Usagi's not there anymore -- she must have woken up. Maybe Luna jumped on her. He looks a little uncomfortable without her, and he glances at Rashmi for help. "I don't know," he admits to Catra, "actually. I've never been to one. But punch, I like punch..." He goes over and pours himself a cup, feeling slightly awkward. Then he glances at Ikiko with the cup halfway to his mouth, and he goes a little red about the ears, perhaps. "I don't think I could pay them enough." |
| Emi Hoshino | At the question from Catra, Emi stops dancing for a moment and then explains: "Fuck if I know. I don't do parties! Actually," she begins, "there are a few activities I did have planned!" Over in the corner -- where it wasn't before -- there's a burbling CAULDRON. "Bobbing for skulls," she announces, because it couldn't just be apples when Emi is involved. "I've also hidden treats in the jack o lanterns, first come first! And, of course, there's wrapping people in like mummy bandages and shit, I guess. Mostly, though, I wanted to bring people here because everyone deserves a night off, and I wanted to say 'thank you'." |
| Rashmi Terios | When Emi stops to lay out all the other planned activities, Rashmi laughs out loud, still dancing. But Thriller can never loop forever, and soon enough the song comes to an end. "Emi-chan," she says feelingly, "this is probably gonna be the best dream party I'll ever, *ever* come to, I can't thank *you* enough for *doing!* all this for us!" Nevermind that it probably took a lot less time to put together than if this were a real-world party. There was *definitely* effort involved, and the redheaded Devicer sees the look of 'help?' on Mamoru's face, and wave him and Catra both to the cauldon. "Okay so bobbing for apples-- I mean skulls, Catra..." ...And then stops, as she considers the bubbling, mist-shrouded surface. "...Like candy skulls, right?" she asks Emi. |
| Emi Hoshino | Emi looks at Rashmi with an expression that can only be described as ':|'. |
| Mamoru Chiba | "Yeah, thanks for a great party! And a great night off! Oh huh, I guess there's no dream germs, no second-hand kiss," Mamoru says dubiously, trailing after Rashmi with his cup of punch in hand. He looks even more dubious into the mist, unable to see what lies beneath. And then he sees the look on Emi's face when Rashmi asks about the skulls and he starts laughing. "But... can I just-- ''have'' a skull?" The prince is, in fact, grinning like a big kid. He wheedles, "Can I see if I can take a skull out of the dream?" |
| Ikiko Hisakata | Ikiko grins at Mamoru, then looks over at the cauldron with a contemplative expression for a few moments, occasionally opening and closing her mouth as she moves her jaw experimentally. She appears to come to a conclusion, then starts rummaging through the jack'o'lanterns. From the fact that she puts some of the items back, the wolf-eared girl is definitely looking for specific things, and after finding what she was looking for, she then starts futzing with them, using the various treats to... ...make a fishing line out of candy?!? "I'm not sure how well I could hook a full-sized skull with my jaw, even if I ''did'' manifest my fanglies," Ikiko explains to the others with an apologetic shrug. "But I think I should be able to hook an eye socket with this!" |
| Catra | "Whoa whoa whoa whoa time out stop hold the phone just stop a damn minute WHAT DO YHOU MEAN TAKE A SKULL OUT OF THE DREAM I thought you lot were supposed to be good guys?!" Catra manages to just barely resist throwing her hands up in the air, "Come on, when I was a villain I may have almost accidentally destroyed my own entire planet -- Adora and Glimmer both say I didn't and I suppose I can believe them even if one has the mind of an over-caffeinated cricket and the other one is more or less the same but without the caffeine -- but I ''never'' did anything as creepy as ''that''." Catra fumes, until she realizes that she is in fact in a dream, dressed up in an actually flaming tuxedo, and is holding a glass of punch that probably looks like blood. And there's a little bit trickling down her chin. She licks that clean. (Cat tongues are great.) Then she downs the punch in one gulp and sets down the glass. "So, like," she continues, as if the outburst never happened. "What is this 'bobbing?'" |
| Emi Hoshino | "Sadly, there can be no taking the skulls from the dream world into the real world. Trust me, I've tried," says Emi disappointed, "Only one dream of mine has ever made it out of the dream world, actually, and that's KenKen," says Emi, gesturing towards the shelf the giant spider is sitting on, bobbing her little legs to the music and chittering. She puts her hands together behind her back and marches over towards the caudlron. "You gotta take it out of the water with your teeth," she explains to Catra, making a show of bending towards the cauldron without sticking her head in it yet. |
| Rashmi Terios | "Look I have to ask!" Rashmi says defensively as Emi gives her That Look. "And that wasn't an answer, either!" Huffing, she decides that if Emi's going to demonstrate in her own, reserved, possibly self-conscious way, Rashmi herself will take advantage of the nature of the dream-world to let the reserve go a little. "Like this, Catra-cha--oop, hang on." Take glasses off, tuck up sleeve, because just because it's not *likely* they'll fall off into the cauldron and aren't real anyway, *doesn't mean you take chances with glasses.* "...Okay. Itadakimaaaaaasu~!" Deep breath, open mouth, plunge entire head into cauldron. Surely there's something to bite on, right? Right? |
| Mamoru Chiba | Just after finishing his glass of punch, Mamoru frowns suddenly. ''While Rashmi has her head in the cauldron,'' the prince's Prince Charming garb shifts to a familiar white tie and tails ensemble. "Sorry, I can tell when Usako transforms. I'm sure it'll be nothing, but she did leave in a hurry." He pulls out a dark red rose and tosses it gently to Emi. "I have to go." That said, he wakes up, gone in a transporter sparkle. |
| Catra | Catra waits for Rashmi to come back up, and perks an eyebrow. "Roses had to peace out," she explains. "Apparently after Twinkle Toes left in a hurry he had to go see what's up, she transformed. However, I am sure it is absolutely nothing and I'd rather not antagonize my former employers right now, so personally, unless someone says the world is literally ending or the Kid is in trouble, I'm staying here." She pauses. "But like, the idea is you stick your head in that thing? You Earthers do weird stuff." The feline glances back towards Emi, then up to KenKen, as if she might find some help in that direction. She doesn't. |
| Ikiko Hisakata | Ikiko nods to Mamoru as he heads out, and watches Rashmi's bobbing technique with a certain amount of amusement. "Maybe I should make a candy snorkel for this," the wolf-eared girl remarks to nobody in particular once the redhead resurfaces. She nods to Catra. "Yeah, sometimes it takes another point of view -- or even just a rephrasing of ordinary terms -- to realize just how silly some things are," Ikiko agrees. |
| Emi Hoshino | "I mean, it's very silly," agrees Emi, as 'Ghostbusters' starts to play. Emi dances in place a little. There are indeed many skulls in the cauldron, bobbing around for them being a difficult thing to do! They do, at least, taste like candy. Emi is not -that- cruel. Catra's words are enough to make her cover her mouth with her hand for a moment before she nods in her direction. "Well. I'm glad to hear that you're sufficiently creeped out." She makes her way towards the front of the room, staring back down at it from there with a ghost of a smile. She is accompanied by sparkles. |
| Rashmi Terios | Finally, Rashmi's teeth manage to find proper purchase, and her head bursts out from the cauldron, with a skull hanging from her mouth by the corner of one jawbone. And it's a bright, delighted look she turns to Catra and Ikiko, her grin almost enough to outmatch the skull in her mouth. "Lihk dif!" she says proudly. ...At which point she hears Catra's explanation of Mamoru's exit, and coughs -- not laughs, coughs -- and takes the skull out of her mouth. "Oh, well if she *transformed* then there's no help for it," she simply says. Then she waves her prize at the cauldron. "Okay someone else try! I'm the biggest baby in the world when it comes to spooky stuff and I will *not* be the bravest one at the party. Go go go!" |
| Catra | Catra rolls her eyes, "Okay, ''fiiiiiine''," she capitulates, and walks up to the cauldron. And she stands there beside the cauldron, and her eyes narrow. She audibly sniffs the air a couple of times. Her tail twitches in the air behind her, as she hunches her shoulders, claws digging in to the cauldron as she grabs the edge of it with both hands and ''Strikes'' Catra darts forwards and comes back up almost instantly with her jaws (and her feline teeth) clenched around one of the candy skulls. She just holds it for a moment before letting it fall into her hand, and eyes it with a mixtrue of triumph and distrust. It is still weird afterall. "...Actually, I dunno what kind of candy that's supposed to be, but it's prettygood." She glances back Ikiko's way, and shrugs. "Yeah but I'm a lot more okay with that kind of stuff than I used to be." |
| Ikiko Hisakata | Ikiko nods to Rashmi and Catra, then settles in next to the cauldron, takes a deep breath, then sticks her head in. There's a brief shimmer of silver, and a moment later the wolf-eared girl pulls her head out, idly gnawing on the skull with little fanglies. "Yeh, dish iz prtty tasti," she remarks, still gnawing on the skull. |
| Amy Faust | The doorbell rings. If there isn't supposed to be a doorbell, it just might go ding, dong o/~ because Amy expects it to! Amy's costume in the real world this year was Tachibana Hinata, but it does work better as a pair with someone to be Jinguuji... Amy is torn between something symbolic she knows, and just trying to surprise Emi by gothing it up. So she's ended up in a black-with-red-and-white-accents version of the 'idol outfit'? that's been seen a couple of times. There's a black metal tiara/hairband with thre points sticking up from it vaguely evocative of a crown, a short red-lined black cape clasped at the chest by a red bow over a black vest clasped under the bow over a sleeveless black blouse, with a red belt and short black skirt with thin white stripes around the bottom and white lacy trim, black thigh-highs and black calf-length boots with little red bows on the front and black bracers with red trim. And a magic book with a crystal lantern or flask or something hanging from a chain hanging at her side like it might be used as a magic focus. "Hey," Amy grins and waves, taking a few steps in and then ''staring'' at Emi for a long moment. "...Are you okay? ...Is that really Emi, or like, a dream figment...?" |
| Emi Hoshino | "What, you didn't expect me to come as myself, did you?" says Emi to Amy with a snort. "You'll never catch me in an outfit like this outside of a nightmare." She spins once, showing off her outfit, before returning to go for her the skull-bobbing herself. Sadly, she's terrible at it and emerges unsuccesful -- but hey, the advantage of this being her dream is that she's instantly dry again and goes for the punch. "Anyway, thanks for coming, Amy! I was wondering when you'd get lucid!" |
| Rashmi Terios | "This is, basically, having fun, Catra-chan," Rashmi chuckles. "Just doing weird and silly things for no other reason than doing them makes you amused. Here it's bobbing for apples, but like... Just about *anything* that isn't office work can be fun, y'know?" It really must be the Upside-Down; Emi is in a sparkly mahou dress and Rashmi is in a crimson-and-black goth confection with probably a dozen layers of skirt... *And* she's turning what one hopes is a small candy skull in her hands. "Amy-chan!" she calls, waving to the Puella in delight. "Try the punch! It's *spicy!* ...Not *super* spicy, but, it's still a surprise even if you're expecting it!" And as she's talking, she wanders the dance floor... then lunges for a Jack-O-Lantern, picking it up and taking it to Catra. "Here, speaking of silly! You open it, you get what's inside, right?" |
| Amy Faust | Amy can't help smiling as Emi shows off her outfit. "Yeah, I'm a little torn myself... I dunno, maybe I should just be a cute witch?* I never... I never got to do that..." Amy taps her chin. "Yeah, I was having a dream about... about..." She shakes her head. "I already don't remember. Anyway, so what do we do in a dream-party? ...Ooh, who are you supposed to be?" she asks the others. *''Majokko''. Not Majou. Although people probably would've known what she meant, use of that word can be a little awkward for a Puella Magi... |
| Ikiko Hisakata | "Look, when you're a dilute werewolf among a group of people who ''know'' that you're a dilute werewolf? Showing off how I'd look with ears and tail in 'street mode' is an easy option," Ikiko grinned to Amy. "I mean, it doesn't get much more seasonal than that!" Now, if it was a ''full moon'' during Halloween season... |
| Emi Hoshino | "Yeah," begins Emi in thought, "Bringing this many people into dreams is hard, even when it's my dream, necessarily, and I had to spend a lot of time setting this all up!" She reaches into one of the jack-o-lanterns and pulls out a big a piece of chocolate she tosses into her mouth. "To be honest, I did this because I wanted to thank all of you. You didn't know what you were really getting into when I started in with all of this stuff, this whole other world that needed protecting, and you all dove in head first when you didn't have to, and at personal risks physically," she glances between them, "and emotionally," a glance towards Rashmi. She has no doubt that some of the comments left by Rate Your Henshin left a lingering mark on more than one of them, after all. "It's a celebration, right? We've all fought so that moments like this can exist at all." She raises up her glass of punch. "Uhm. I guess a toast? To courage, kindness, and the beautiful dreams worth fighting for and stuff." She gives a one shouldered shrug. |
| Amy Faust | Amy smiles. "I mean... I guess that's the sort of people who become magical girls, mostly. I knew I was getting into potentially deadly battles in a secret magic conflict to help people when I signed up... Also, this isn't exactly another world in that sense. I mean, if it's not protected... people in the real world get hurt!" "Although admittedly, if someone from another world asked for some amount of help facing trouble that ''wasn't'' likely to come to Earth, we'd probably still go..." "And to compassion, and being true to yourself and your heart..." She rezzes the jar with the dream frog in it so she has something to clink the glass with. Afterwards she says, "Yeah, you know what? Dreams offer a special opportunity, don't they? I'm changing my costume." And there's pink sparkles, and a blur, and A little Amy around Chibiusa's old apparent age in a Witch costume -- it's pretty simple, a big wide-brimmed hat with a purple band and buckle on it and black dress with cape and short boots and striped magenta-and-black stockings. And she absolutely ''beams'' at Emi and holds out a little plastic jack-o-lantern by its handle. "[Trick or treat!]" |
| Ikiko Hisakata | "Cheers!" Ikiko replies to Emi, raising a glass of punch (yay, dream-logic inventory!) and taking a hearty drink. It can be a solemn duty at times, being a mahoujin, but the good times are definitely worth fighting for. And then she sees Amy's new costume, and all thoughts of solemnity go flying right out the window. "So '''''cute!'''''" the wolf-eared girl squeals (in a tone that honestly would've probably caused her to wince, if she wasn't the one voicing it), scooping up Amy for a ''biiig'' hug! |
| Emi Hoshino | "Ha," is Emi's response to Amy. "I'm happy for you!" she tells her, and then deposits some chocolate into the plastic jack o lantern, as one surely must. She takes another drink of punch after that and then tosses it aside as the music shifts to 'Crazy Pumpkin Night'. "You're getting there. You're all getting there." She says, pleased. With how far they've come in dreams, it must be. |
| Amy Faust | Amy ''smiles'' that pleased-and-can't-help-showing-it smile at not just being called cute but at eliciting that squeal of delight! She looks up at Ikiko, now a bit over a foot and a half shorter than the wolf-girl, which is a pretty novel perspective! (she doesn't really remember being this young very well...) Only Hannah would hug her like this normally, although the Slasher might with not ''quite'' this degree of enthusiasm. When Emi interrupted the dream where she ended up like this to bring her to Setsuna, she was a bit disappointed ''not'' getting this reaction, but now... A lot of emotions mix in her at once-- getting such a reaction is kind of exciting, there's delighted astonishment at being lifted ''up'', and she does really like good squeezy hugs, and there's something like nostalgia for a time that never was. If things had been different would there be a time when she'd been treated like this, without needing magic and dreams? Well, she's delighted to get a taste all the same! She can't help giggling a little from the mix of feelings bubbling up. |
