| Sailor Venus | Patrolling while Sailor Venus was almost refreshing after the weeks of having to body double for Sailor Moon and Usagi. It was a rather pleasant evening as well with, so far, no outbursts from anyone or anything. With the Black Moon Clan dealt with that meant it was just the regular Obsidian folk or the occasional rogue youma that might pop up. For Venus it was just a perfect night to be out rooftop running under the guise of 'patrolling'. The fact that she just *might* be using it as an excuse to avoid more homework was beside the point. Everyone needed a break! Decked in orange and white she leaps easily from one rooftop to another, pausing only to glance down on occasion to see the streets below. People were around, they usually were when it came to the mall, but it wasn't anything important right now. With a sigh she pulls out her phone to regard it mumbling, "Don't idols do any popup shows anymore? I've missed so much this Summer!" |
| Roman Talleday | Immaculately clad in whites accented by pink, there was a very handsomely dressed young man doing about the same as Venus-- avoiding other tasks he should've probably been doing, and looking for fights instead. He moved with ease, arobatic and almost graceful, the vision of a pink-haired prince darting through the night. The lone white lock of hair that was white curled into a stylistic spiral, settled on his bangs, and a teacup and saucer sat tilted on his head like a tiny tophat. Easily forgiven for thinking he was talking to himself, he was actually talking to the small chipmunk-like fairy that was riding along in it. It was Darjeela that spotted Sailor Venus first, and despite her best efforts to steer Cure Chai away, blue eyes caught sight of her too. "I know that bow..." He murmured, and jumping now onto a section of roof just a bit higher than her, he catches her on her phone. "Oi! What're you doin', takin' a selfie for your fans or something?" |
| Sailor Venus | Sailor Venus would normally be chatting with Artemis herself if he hadn't been spending an abnormal amount of time at the cat cafe (then again he had a daughter now, maybe it wasn't abnormal at all.) So instead her exposition was just aloud to herself. The sudden flit of motion caught in the corner of her eye makes her aware of Cure Chai right before he calls out. Turning quickly she faces him and--Stares a moment at the elaborate garb, and the pink hair, and the fact that he was a very stylishly dressed boy. That was rare! Kind of. "My fans? Well not currently~" she coos out with a bright grin. Fans! Ah yes she remembers those! "Wait, there are Sailor Venus fans!?" Her attention drops back to her phone as she quickly types in. "Oh I'm so behind! I haven't really kept up with the fanbase since--" Since she stopped being Sailor V! The bow of course hadn't changed at all, nor the flowy length of her blonde hair. Venus pauses to look up again at Chai. "Well since you konw me, can I ask who you are? You're a newer face around here>" |
| Roman Talleday | "I'm a High Tea Sommelier, Order of the Sweet Aroma," He jut a thumb at himself, and in a fluid motion, seemed to have effortlessly struck a pose. "Cure Chai." When he grinned, one could swear there was a sparkle to it, briefly. The fairy popped her head up out of the teacup to give a little flair, tossing a scatter of tea leaves like confetti. "And I am Darjeela, Stir-stir!" With another leap now, he dropped down near her, stepping closer. As he did, the scent around him might become more obvious-- the warm scent of spices and a hint of sweetness. "Sailor V... V for Venus. I've heard a bit about you. Get up to all sorts, don't you?" |
| Sailor Venus | An unexpected and yet properly dramatic introduction provided earns a broad smile from Venus. Even as Cure Chai approaches allowing her to inhale that sweet spicy scent, her gaze flits up to Darjeela with a little gasp. "She's so cute!" Ah, but introductions were being made. The momentary distraction is forgotten as she swings a hand back suddenly palming a mask from her pocket-space (that was what the others called it at least!) which she swings up to hold in front of her eyes. A wink is given as she does. "I'm Sailor Venus! The Pretty Guardian who fights for Love and Beauty! Once known as Sailor V, yes-- Although that was when I was younger." She sometimes DID still put on the Sailor V persona though. It depended on her mood. The mask is flicked back away again as she adds in a friendly manner, "Great to meet you, Cure Chai! It's so nice to be recognized." |
| Roman Talleday | "Oh, that's so nice of you to say! I do look very good for my age, Stir-stir," Darjeela rubbed small paws at her cheeks with some pride, "What a pleasure to meet you, Sailor Venus! And what a sweet scent! You surely have a heart as beautiful as your hair, Stir-stir." A small scoff came from her partner at that, and Cure Chai seems amused as his hands settle on his hips-- next to a bejewled teaspoon, no less. "Here you are tellin' me not to go flirtin' with people, and here you go--" "It's a compliment between girls! That's not the same thing at all!" Darjeela's cute face furrowed as she leaned over the cup rim. "If you keep being so easily distracted, Oolong won't be pleased, Stir-stir!" "Yeah, yeah," Cure Chai grinned again, his gaze upon Sailor Venus, and he offered-- to his credit-- a fairly well executed bow, "Well, accept my compliment too, then. You're winnin' the fight for beauty." |
| Sailor Venus | Sailor Venus was already a bit smitten by the cute fairy. When the compliments come, her hands clasp together in front of her with a soft, "Awww that's so sweet! Thank you! I do try!" Both for the hair and having a beautiful heart although there might be some others who would have more to say on that topic. "That's right. Girls can compliment each other and not have it be flirting. Besides, no offense, I wouldn't date a fairy of that size. It'd be a bit awkward." She's not ruling fairies out entirely of course--Some of her best dates had been youma! That she unfortunately had to then defeat. Blue eyes flit between the pair as she listens to the back and forth with amusement. It was so like her and Artemis back in the day when he would be by her side while she was Sailor V. These days he mostly stuck to the control room when they were out, unless there was a need for him to be there in person. When Chai compliments her she's almost caught off guard by that point from being lost in thought. A quick little flush of color races up her cheeks although she doesn't look away in embarassment. Instead her hand moves back to flip through her hair with a laugh. "Why thank you! I am the Goddess of Love, after all! I have a reputation to uphold." With a twinkle in her eye she asks, "So are *you* a fan of mine too, then?" |
| Roman Talleday | Certainly, no offense was taken. Darjeela was blessed with love, already, she thought-- her darling Oolong was a very special fairy. Cure Chai didn't see the appeal, but then again, maybe Oolong only showed that side of himself to Darjeela. Was Cure Chai a fan? "Of course he is!" Darjeela cut him off before he could even answer, practically insisting upon the fact. To his credit, a faint hue creeps across the Cure's face at that, even as he rights slowly and swallows. Now he has to deal with what Darjeela said without coming off like an arse. "I was lookin' forward t'meetin' you. Yeah. As one does... very admirable work, you do. As one patrollin' the city, to another." "The wonderfully patient Sailor Mercury has often pointed out how Cure Chai could learn from your leadership, Stir-stir! I'm quite sure he looks up to you a great deal already!" Darjeela's eyes sparkled. |
| Sailor Venus | Sailor Venus preens a little bit under the praise from Darjeela at least until Mercury's named. That causes her to grow a bit more serious. If he knew her then that meant he wasn't just a fan after all. "Ah you know Mercury too? She's the smartest of us." The bit of teasing amusement she'd held fades just a tad as the mention of leadership is brought up. It was easy to let that be forgotten when she didn't *have* to be serious--but it was always there. "It's a pleasure to meet you too then. If you need any help, I'd be happy to offer advice." |
| Roman Talleday | With some mild relief, he relaxes into a more serious note too. "Thank you. I don't mind saying it, I'm still learnin' the ropes. When it was just me, that was one thing..." Cure Chai inclined his head, peering at her from beneath pink bangs. "But now, I've got a team mate. I've always been the sort what worked on my own, off my own back. It's an adjustment, like." "Not that Cure Chai has an ego problem! Oh no! But he can rush into things without thinking about Cure Matcha, Stir-stir." Darjeela crossed her little arms, nodding wisely. Cure Chai's mouth gave a brief smile, accepting that flaw. "Also, I came first... so I got a bit more experience than him. I figure you'd understand." |
| Sailor Venus | Sailor Venus smiles softly with a look of absolute understanding. Even her shoulders seem to soften a bit as she doesn't just stand at her full posture right now but relaxes just a bit around him at the conversatoin. "I do. I get it rather well," shea grees with a single incline of her head. "I was the first of my group out so I gained a lot of experience before everyone else." "Though in my case I think..." There's a pause as her head tilts to the side contemplating how best to describe it. "It's more like I want to be there to back them up in case they start to fail? They all have their strengths, and not all of them are the same as mine. I have to trust that they know what they're doing, too. I'm there if they need however! And I can lead the charge otherwise." |
| Roman Talleday | "Me and this bloke... we're pretty different, but I like him. He's smarter than me." Cure Chai licks his lip, thoughtfully. "But we got our own way of doing things. He might think a bit too much. We don't know each other well... I'm still figuring him out." He's earnest, and open, and his shoulders roll easily. Blue eyes bright, edged by faint pink and white shimmer. "In our case, we gotta be in lock-step.... but we got no sync yet. I've tried bein' supportive of him, but I don't think my style of doin' that is workin', yeah?" He made a face. "I think I'm just comin' off overbearin'." |
| Sailor Venus | Sailor Venus crosses one arm over her chest to lightly grasp the elbow of the other. Her hand taps a finger thoughtfully against her lips as she listens to Chai's concerns a bit. "Mercury is way smarter than me, too. I generally look to her for advice on things but I admit I try to protect her when we're out and about. Though she's fully capable on her own, too." "If you need to find a rythym with this guy, maybe you ought to try literally doing that?" The blonde senshi smiles again with a quick snap of her fingers. "Like, find some music you can listen to and move along with! Or try playing some co-op games at the arcade. Something where you two have to work together. It's not the same as fighting but it's a start to get you both in the mindset of working together." |
| Roman Talleday | Cure Chai nodded at that, slowly, seeing some logic in the suggestion. A few snaps of his fingers showed he was catching on, "Alright. Yeah. Yeah, like them dance games what got the arrows an' that. I get you." With his background in dance, and the footwork of a soccer player... Hell, maybe he could teach him some ballet form, at least for partnered dance. Maybe he could learn a bit about soccer, too. "That could work. Get the physical goin', then work out the rest." "That's a great idea! Learning to move around one another will help, and music is a great way to connect, Stir-stir." Darjeela seemed to agree, nodding sagely. "Oolong thought you might go stubbornly pressing ahead with your own way... I'm glad you understand that compromise is important, too, Stir-stir." |
| Sailor Venus | "Exactly! Oh the dancing game, that's a perfect idea, yes! You have to learn to share the arrows to get a perfect instead of just doing them all at once by yourself." Venus beams happily as her suggestion is being taken seriously. Sure she was sometimes silly. There was usually logic to her thoughts though. "Of course there's also the after school 'self defense classes' you can attend to learn to use your powers around each other, too. The main class is just basic stuff, but the 'later' class is for mahou. It's run by an old mahou that's mostly retired now." "You know, really there's a lot at the school that helps us out." |
| Roman Talleday | "It took me a while but... I think I get why I had to come ''here,'' to learn." It's a truthful reflection. "I wasn't keen on it, jus' between you an' me. Felt a way about bein' packed off to a boardin' school in a country I never been to. But I think I get it now. Maybe it's just to give me the best start possible. If I can't mkae it work here, then..." Another shrug, and he lets go of that line of thought. There was no use thinking like that, just now. The smile he offers her next is sincere, and genuinely grateful, though small. "My old man used t'be a Cure. Kinda got big heels to fill." |
| Sailor Venus | "Oh, I think there's a few that attend that have parents who were also. Though once you hit a certain age they just.. Forget." Venus crinkles her nose just a little bit over it. "They call it 'The Fade' and I'm pretty sure Mercury and some others are trying to figure out how to stop it. It wasn't always a thing, from what I gather." The thought of having a parent that was a senshi though? She knew it wasn't possible but that breif mental image causes her to physically shudder none the less. "I can't imagine if either of my parents were mahou. They're so into each other I don't think they could pay attention to anything else going on if there was a dangerous situation." Realizing she got off on a tangent she quickly changes back to the topic. "Oh, but that doesn't mean you won't do great! There's a of different types here so it's easy to pick up what you might need to know. Plus it's helpful to have more friends." |
| Roman Talleday | "They sound like a handful," he noted of her parents, "Or at least, they got their hands full of each other. I'd know something about watchin' that kinda sugar show, wouldn't I?" A mild accusation. "Darjeela?" The Fairy was lucky to already be pink. "That's how some of us show love! With lots of hugging and kissing, and looking longingly into each others eyes, and feeding each other snacks and-- you don't understand, Stir-stir!" Cure Chai shook his head lightly, smirking in a vaguely teasing way. "Yeah, yeah, you're proper besotted. Bit rich for my tastes, like..." Blue eyes drifted down over Venus' legs, and back up. "I could use another friend with legs like that. Yeah." |
| Sailor Venus | "Oh yes, they're totally in love. Someday I'll find a love like that, I'm sure!" There's a hopeful tone to Venus' remark as she gazes off into the distance with a sigh that fades into a small crinkle of her nose. "But it's still gross seeing my parents do that." Of course she was going to have some small heebie-jeebies over it. They were her PARENTS. An eyebrow lifts at the talk of her legs. The urge to tug her skirt down is ignored entirely in favor of laughing over the remark. It was so like her own constant remarks, unashamed and all. "You better not talk about Mercury this way though!" A little beep comes from her phone about this time. A little alert or alarm perhaps, as she doesn't bother to look down at it after. "Ah time for me to head back though. It was nice to meet you, Cure Chai, and Darjeela!" A hand lifts to wave at the pair with a bright smile before she darts off on her way. |
| Roman Talleday | "If you catch me, you can kick me!" He calls out after her, about talking to Mercury that way. He's grinning a little bit to himself though, watching her go. "She sure is somethin', isn't she?" "Don't you go and forget about that girl you promised to ask out on a date, Stir-stir!" Darjeela frowned. "You're going to get yourself in trouble, one of these days!" "Yeah," Cure Chai hummed, only to grin. "Maybe. I guess we'll see how much, won't we?" |
