Zoisite Letting go of Kazuo was always one of the hardest things to do for Izou, even if from time to time that act in itself was needed. Especially now that Mamoru was perhaps in need of some comfort, and Izou had not eaten anything since they left Earth.

Stepping away from the dance floor, Coco's voice charming the air, he looks at the food that was offered in the festivity, picking a plate up. Did he want actual food, or something that was a bit more appealing to his tastes? Sweets?

Glancing over to the desert table, he spots a very recognizable blonde ''raiding'' the same treats he was thinking of. Well then... Plate in hand, and picking up two flute glasses full of sparkling grape juice, he slides up and gently hip bumps her.

"Mina-chan, might want something to go with all of those you're stuffing away." One of the flutes is offered to her as a greeting.
Sailor Venus Minako Aino was among the singletons at this particular wedding, and though she had many friends, most of them were paired in some way at the moment. Ami and Usagi sharing a dance, Makoto and Masato dancing (they had better!), Mamoru and whoever at the moment. She'd lost track awhile ago of how many people he was dating, though she was fairly certain Tamaki had been taken off the list given their last serious chat. Even Artemis and Luna were off somewhere with Diana doing cat things no doubt.

While Coco was on stage singing she indulges in some of the many sweets and treats that had been arranged. All small, all easy bites. A great way to sample a bit of everything without feeling as if she was pigging out too much.

Though she was dressed in a lovely gown, adorned with a yellow citrine pendant necklace, she was otherwise just... Relaxing. After all of the hard work she'd put in the last few weeks. Plate in hand she's found easily by Izou.

A breif look of surprise flashes over her as her blue eyes flit to the side seeking the tall pale date that she knew would have been with Izou, only to look back to him with a smile. "Izou! You've got to try these!" With his hands full of wine flutes she just plucks up a petit four which she reaises to his lips to gently nudge in for him to bite. Once done she reaches to take one of the drinks with a quick, "Thanks! They all looked so good I wanted to make sure I got to try them."
Zoisite ''Oh!''

Sweet nudged and he opens his mouth to accept it, chewing down on the surprisingly delicious miniature cake as one of the flutes is taken from him. He knew these were made by Makoto, but it surprised him every time how good everything she made was. It made him only slightly envious, but cooking was never going to be a talent of his own.

"Bloody hell, this will spoil my taste for cakes for weeks now." It was a compliment. He was going to crave these in his dreams. "You've got a head start on me already, how many did you try?" Green eyes taking quick stock of the different shapes before putting his flute down on the table, just to begin a selection of his own.

Pinks first, of course.

"You're very welcome. I thought a drink would be good to wash it all down." Already with four on his plate, he looks over to Minako. "You also have quite a bit to share with me. I haven't been out of the Shed much and I heard you were covering for Usagi."
Sailor Venus "Right? Mako-chan is just the best. And Masato *finally* asked her out and gave her the jewelry I helped him pick out, too!" Mina was rather proud of that part, really, although she hasn't told Makoto that she was part of that jewelry endeavor. For now she ought to just enjoy getting things from her guy.

The flute is raised to her lips to take a dainty sip that does indeed help to wash down the sugary sweetness. It's just as sweet in it's own way but the sparkling grape juice was at least refreshing.

"Thank you. Yes, I was juggling posing as Usagi and Sailor Moon. Her gaming livestream had to keep going on for her parents to think she was okay. Although," she adds with a roll of her eyes. "Mamoru had fun with messing with me during it too since he knew what was up."

"Honestly I spent one entire day running around with an entirely different disguise once just to get a break."
Zoisite "Oh he finally--?" That stupid weathervane, took him this long. A sigh leaves Izou at the thought, glancing over his shoulders at the two for a moment. The happiness was visible, radiating from the two. Small smile forms on his face, looking over the glittering pieces that Makoto was wearing. "You helped him, huh? That's why they look exceptionally pretty." A little snicker, but genuinely he was happy for the two of them.

Returning his attention to Minako, a little furrow of brows in sympathy as she started to describe what had happened over the weeks. "Mamoru was messing with you? You should have texted me so I could try and pull his ear a bit, not be too hard on you. Even though I think he was also looking for a small break in between... New Moon and Wicked Lady didn't seem easy to deal with at all."

And he dodged most of that. Thankfully.

"I didn't realize it was that consuming of a time. Had I known, I would have invited you over to the Shed for a break as well. It'd be quiet and you could've kept me company while I worked." A nod. "You have another disguise?"
Sailor Venus "I didn't want to bother you when you were getting some rest," Mina explained with a slight shake of her head. "We've all had so much we've been going through lately, what with traveling to the future, and Nemesis-"

For just a breif moment she stiffens as her own words bring to mind that awful place. A moment of recollection as her voice catches in her throat. It's hidden as best she can with another sip of the flute-- which turns into a longer gulp as her head tips back to indulge in the rest of it leaving it empty.

"-Ah~! I needed that more than I thought!" Grinning cheerily once more the flute is placed down absently on the dessert table next to them. "Yeah he apologized but he called me out as Usagi in front of New Moon asking for permission to kiss her! This was *before* I knew who New Moon really was!" A jutting lower lip in an angry sort of pout comes as she shoots the guy half of the newlywed couple a glance. Hmph.

"That's in the past now though. She knew I wasn't Usagi to begin with for obvious reasons so..." A shrug is given and her attention sweeps back to Izou with an slightly impish grin.

"Oh? Do you want to see?" Instantly there's a crescent shaped gold compact in hand which she clicks open, flashing a wink at her friend.

"Moon Power! You know what to do! Change me into Minato! In a cute tux, too!"

A dazzle of stars rains down around her obscuring the view until they fade away leaving a short haired blonde boy in an orang filigree patterend tuxedo, with lapels edged in champagne gold, and a black bowtie. Grinning rakishly he leans in closer to Izou to purr in a deeper voice, "So, what do you think? Stylish, no?"
Zoisite Nemesis. The weight of oppression and the sweetness of the dark energy on that planet. It danced on his tongue like the flavor of the petit four, teasing with the memories of how it used to be. The entire experience on that gods forsaken planet was nightmarish, especially when they found Mamoru--

Inhales. Deep. Izou did not bother Minako for more of an explanation. None was needed. He knew. He knew what she meant so, so well. Instead of a drink, what was pushed into his mouth was another petit four. Different flavor, still just delicious as the one before. It helped erase his thoughts on what was see in Demand's chambers, and all that would be following.

When Minako continued on about the story of Mamoru and Usagi's cover up, that little smile of his returned. "Bold of him to do have done that. He really was messing with you, tsk tsk." Shaking his head. "You're right, it's over now. And there are better things to focus on!"

As for the disguise, he raised a curious brow, grinning as he watched the transformation happen around his friend. What he expected was something along the lines of dressing up as another woman. A good imitation of one of the other sailors perhaps, or mahous that were not part of the inner circle.

Oh no. No, it was ''much'' more charming than that. In front of him stood someone ''handsome,'' dressed in orange and golds and whites. The lean in had Izou hitch his breath, eyes wide as how positively dreamy the look was on Minako. He shakes his head, blinking away the surprised stupor before a chuckle followed with shaking shoulders. "Mina-chan, you are ''wicked'' sometimes. In a good way."

"You look absolutely stunning, in my humblest opinion." He was not very humble, but that was his genuine opinion. Placing the plate down on the table, he walks around the newly presented disguise, taking in the look and cut of both appearance, demeanor and style choice of clothes. All perfectly fitted. No flaws. Not even a crack.

Izou stops in front of the other ''young man,'' fluttering his eyes. "You know, you should invite me to dance with you, looking like that. I think the new God of Love would be an impressive look on the dance floor. Especially with me in his arms." A wink, grinning.
Sailor Venus Minako Aino stands up straight when Izou starts to circle around. A hand raises to run fingertips over the lapel of the jacket testing the feel of it for the first time himself. The other hand slides back to his hip to rest there looking for all the world as if he were preening *just a little* under the inspection.

Handsome as he may be when the compliment comes there's a telltale flush of pink to his cheeks as he flashes a grin back. "It's the first time I've worn formal like this. I'm glad you approve!" Another wink comes out of habit more than an attempt to flirt.

The suggestion of dancing though is met with a look of abject glee. Rather than take hold of Izou's hand he instead swings his arm forward with elbow bent to offer out in a mimic of gentlemanly posturing. "I would *love* to dance! Got to burn off all that cake energy after all. Besides, orange and green *are* complimentary colors!" A little chuckle comes as he adds, "We'll look amazing together. Shall we?" There's no hesitating on 'Minato's part when it comes to dancing. He's quick, and eager to hit the floor.
Zoisite "Yes, let's take the onlookers breath away." hands slides up Minato's arm to take hold, a proud smile and twinkling green eyes that would follow them when they make their way to the center of the dance floor.

"You must tell me how others oogled at you while you were out in this disguise. I bet many found you attractive." He turns smoothly on his heels, arms gently positioning as the one to follow Venus' lead. Orange and green would indeed mix well.
Sailor Venus Minako Aino laughs warmly as he turns toward Izou to slide an arm around waist, while the other rests at the back of one shoulder. Fingertips idly brush over the bejeweled back of Izou's dress as the dance is begun.

"Oh my gosh, yes! I had two very cute boys come watch me play video games in the arcade. And there were several girls I know that were giggling all the while. *That* was amusing. They're among the group that usually teases me for crushing on guys." A small bit of revenge had at least.

Though Minako hadn't really been taught how to dance as a lead, she DID usually just take charge on such things anyway. It's easy to follow the movements including a purposeful spin around meant to send Izou's skirt flaring dramatically. Having worn skirts often the knowledge of how to do this was there.

"Probably as many that look at you when you're all dolled up, too."

For a moment he grows quiet, then adds sincerely, "I'm glad you came out to the wedding. I've been worried about you."
Zoisite Despite the crystals on silk, the Moon Palace had some magic of its own. Weight was less, or so it felt, and his dress did flare as he was spun below Minato's fingers. Each of the thousand facets shone, reflecting light in return before Izou was settled back in leading arms.

He was beaming, happy as could be. "If it was the same group of girls that were commenting and whispering when I went to see you play volleyball, then you get to tease them back later too. Make them fluster. Just a bit." Wiggle in their seats. There was enjoyment on the idea of revenge, but it was quiet. Tamed and soothed.

"Wish I was there to see it, really. It would have been fun. Wingman for you, at times if you'd like." As they danced, he did notice Usagi and Ami sharing a twirl between the two. And Rashmi and her boyfriend. This was not counting Masato and Makoto, of himself and Kazuo. It felt... wrong... that Minako had no plus two to sweep her away. Perhaps that would change soon--he hoped it would. He never before felt guilty about how things turned out, and some of it still clung to him.

This only amplified slightly with the added compliment from Minako, and the quiet admission of her worry towards him.

He could hug her right now. Instead, one of his hands gave a soft squeeze to her fingers, a gesture to communicate that he ''heard'' and ''felt'' the sincerity in her words, and was ''grateful'' for them.

"...I'm sorry I made you worry, Mina-chan. I just needed some time on my own." His reply was just as quiet. "I had a lot to think about. Still do. A lot of shame I need to carry for some time. But... A lot of good, too." His smile persist as he spoke, nodding towards Minato. "You're one of them, the good things. Just know that I do care for you quite a bit."
Sailor Venus The boisterously tuxedoed boy dancing with Izou smiles at him in a manner that said he might have already guessed that. "I know you needed time. I'm just glad you haven't forgotten we're here too. You don't have to be alone unless you want to." A pause comes as the remark of shame is considered. A single eyebrow raises and a firm addition of, "And you don't *deserve* to be alone."

Another turn to the dance comes, bringing them slowly back toward their starting point as the song begins to die down. It's the mention of being cared for that earns a beaming, warm smile which lights up his face and brings a bright spark to his blue eyes. "Good! I love you too. You're my friend, even if things started out on the wrong foot. Now, I think Kazuo has been staring and wondering who the heck you're dancing with for a bit now. You may want to go reassure him you're not two timing him." Not that there was a chance of that!
Zoisite "He has?" A blink, then turning his head to look for his boyfriend, but due to the crowd of dancers around him, it was hard to see. He'll catch up with his senior soon enough though. "Well, I better get to explaining to him what I was doing with a strapping young lad such as you. Hopefully he will not think ill of me. Gods, the tragedy of it~" Of course, it was in good humor. He knew Kazuo would be fine with it, and that Minato was joking. Dramatic theatrics were always welcome though.

And he does chuckle a bit, the faux pout and sobby eyes clearing away to the twinkle that matched the crystals on his dress and back.

As the song's final notes flutter by, Izou steps two feet away to give a curtsy to his dance partner, thankful for such a lovely moment, only for him to step back close and wrap Minato around for a hug. Tight, heartfelt.

"Thank you, Mina-chan, for being my friend."
Sailor Venus "Strapping?" Minato's eyes widen a little as he steps away with a breif glance down toward himself. "You know I still haven't looked at myself in the mirror without a shirt. Ooh I wonder if I have *abs*?"

The amused, distracted thought is quickly cast aside with an arm sweeping across his stomach to do a light bow in return to the curtsey. Then he finds himself caught up in the hug.

Just a moment he hesitates before returning it. Tight, and strong, and firm. It was nce to be hugged. It felt different right now, but it was still nice. His eyes dip shut a moment indulging in the closeness only to nod in response to the thanks.

The disguise fades away leaving Mina being hugged before releasing her grasp. "Of course," she responds with eyes just a little watery over the moment. It's a good sort of thing though as her smile tells. "Go get your guy. Bring some snacks, too," she suggests before glancing off to the side.

"I might wander a bit and look around. This place is... it's got a lot of memories attached. I'm glad we're making new ones, too."
Zoisite Memories attached. To him, unreachable. Perhaps, someday.

"Yeah, new ones are better. Go on, Mina-chan. You better tell me what you find out later, yeah? I'll take you up on that idea, get a plate ready for Kazuo too. I'm sure he'll love the sweets. And a drink."

A few steps were taken, only for Izou to turn around. "Oh, and we should mark a day to go shopping again soon, okay?" With a little wave, he rushes away into the crowd, shoes lightly clicking on the floor.
