| Adrien Agreste | Fencing club was once again meeting. After several news items being touched upon, matches were set up for practice, and by now things were winding down at the end of the time. Adrien was decked out in his full gear. White helmet, padded jacket, pants. Everything matched and was in near pristine condition. Worn, used, but tidy and well maintained. It wasn't just for show as his own matches proved -- He knew his way around a sword and prefered saber style matches. Now that things were free though he flips his mask back turning to walk toward Souta. The green eyed blonde wears a friendly smile as he greets, "Hi! We haven't officially met yet, but I'm Adrien Agreste. Chrono's my roommate and mentioned you," he offers up hinting that he may know more than just a saber. |
| Souta Camero | Souta was, by all rights, pretty new to fencing in general, but he knew his way around a sword well enough. It was similar, at least, to other arts he had learned off world, and most importantly it was a reason for him to get some regular exercise in. Keeps his mind sharp. Souta naturally still had his gear on, though his mask was also flipped back as he turned towards the approaching Adrien. At the mention of Chrono, the new student flips his glasses open and puts them back on. "Chrono? Ah, yes. We spoke the other day. I'm glad to see he's still as reliable as he's always been." Souta regards the fellow green eyed blonde with a neutral, curious expression. His lips are flat, and one eyebrow is raised. "How long have you known him?" Souta's eyes glance towards the other members briefly, wondering who else is in earshot. |
| Adrien Agreste | Adrien Agreste notices that sidelong glance from Souta when asking about how long he's known Chrono, and it earns a small chuckle. "We've been roommates for the past year and a half here at Radiant Heart." With that, he tucks his foil beneath his elbow so as to free his hands enough to reach up and unbuckle his helmet. It's swept off letting his short hair free so that it fluffs back into it's usual shape. Hair products weren't just for girls! A sidestep is taken so that he can also look over the expanse of the area at the other club members that were wandering off, either gathering their gear to leave or catching up with friends. The numbers were certainly thining out quite a bit as everyone broke off in their own directions. Once he's certain no one is paying attention he speaks again keeping his voice conversationally low. "He told me about TSAB as soon as he moved in figuring that I'd forget if I wasn't 'in the know' in the first place." |
| Souta Camero | A year and a half? It's still strange to Souta that so much time has passed, but that's just what happens when you're caught in an explosion across time. As he removes his helmet, he frees his own long, voluminous hair. He has to run his hand through it a couple of times to undo the bun he's put it in, but once he does it's clearly pretty long. If it didn't curl near the end, it might touch the floor. It's also pretty clear that he takes good care of it, and there's a lot to take care of. (He cheats by using magic.) The mention of the TSAB clarifies a lot of things. "Ah," says Souta, also keeping his voice low. "In that case, you must be one of the others he was telling me about. Well, Adrien Agreste, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Inspector Souta Camero, though..." he covers his mouth to clear his throat, "... I suspect that title doesn't mean as much here. I'm guessing you have your own... special concerns to deal with?" |
| Adrien Agreste | "You could definitely say that," Adrien admits with a rather amused chuckle as he runs a hand back through his own hair. The length of Souta's own hair is glanced at, but he doesn't say anything about it. It was rather impressive he managed to hide all that in his helmet though! "I do have another identity but I try to keep it down on who knows who I am. I usually act as backup to others when I need. Unless it's my own 'problem' showing up at least." "No offense," he adds with an apologetic smile. "It's just that I'm being hunted for what I have. Chrono says it's 'Lost Logia' level. All the more reason to keep it safe. But I am happy to help when I can or reach out to those who can help better than I can, if needed." "So, how are you settling in?" |
| Souta Camero | Souta does glance at Adrien's hair for a moment. It's not as ''long'' as his own but it's clear he takes good care of it. Something to note. With a shrug, he says, "If you'd rather keep your ID to yourself, I wont press. We all have our secrets." Though it's noteworthy that Adrien isn't sharing, in truth not even Souta's intuition or deductive skills could defeat the Veil. He knows. He's tried. "... and that 'Lost Logia' problem seems as good a reason as any. It's a shame how so many people will devote so much to chasing after a bad idea." How is he settling in? Souta touches the side of his glasses to adjust how they sit on his nose. "I'm doing alright. I've managed to move into an empty dorm. There are still some things I'm getting used to. For one, all of my preferred brands of hair care are... shall we say, out of my reach?" His eyes once again go to Adrien's own hair for a moment before going back to eye contact. "I don't suppose you have any recommendations?" |
| Adrien Agreste | It's a bit of a surprise that he's being asked for hair care options. A surprise, but not an unpleasant one, as Adrien's grin only brightens considerably. Souta had touched upon an area of his expertise related to his mundane job after all! "Of course! I'm a model at my father's company, so I have to take care of my looks. If you like we could go shopping for products to try at some point? Though I usually also get a lot of samples from various companies looking to have me promote them as well." A warm, friendly chuckle comes as he adds, "I had to help Chrono with what to wear as a civilian for awhile too. Though I think he's found his own style somewhat ever since he got a girlfriend." |
| Souta Camero | Oh, so he's a model. That explains a few things. Yet, doing that for his father's company? "That sounds like a lot of pressure to perform under." With a slight smile he adds, "I wouldn't mind that. When it comes to hair care advice I suspect I just hit the jackpot." He reaches back to lift a lock of his hair in his hand, saying, "I can use magic to detangle and style it a bit, but... I prefer to use actual shampoo and conditioner for maintenance. I don't have any particular reason for having it this long other than personal taste." Crossing his arms and tilting his head, Souta comments, "Rashmi and Chrono have gotten pretty close, haven't they? Rashmi seems like a good fit for him, really. Friendly enough to balance out his seriousness, but... still reliable in an emergency. I can see why they have chemistry." |
| Adrien Agreste | Adrien Agreste hesitates momentarily at the mention of it being stressful. His smile shifts just a little, but it's still genuine. "It can be tiring at times with my schedule. I had to argue with father for quite awhile just to be able to attend school instead of having tutors. It's nice to have friends, though. I didn't want to miss out on the experience." The topic is moved on from quickly when he agrees, "They're both very good people. I agree that Chrono needs some balance to not be so serious *all* the time, though. Rashmi's also great at making sure he eats more than the basics." Frankly neither of them was hurting for meals at this point with how often she would bring things over. "Oh, if you're a coffee fan, I snuck an espresso machine into our room and can always brew up a cup quickly. I'm usually up for a good sparring session too. Fencing has always been my favorite hobby. Though I am curious about the Kendo club as well." Here he pauses, flashing a somewhat sheepish grin as he admits, "I used to have matches with a Japanese friend of mine so I'm used to more than just one sword style. I'm kind of missing that." |
| Souta Camero | Souta takes note of the small details. The hesitance to answer, the tension between Adrien and his father. He could comment on it further, but he senses a sore topic. Probably best not to press without reason, and Souta doesn't have a reason. The TSAB Inspector would actually agree with Chrono on eating mostly the basics. Souta has a similar mindset, though he's self aware of the fact that it gives him something of a bias. "Yes, that sounds like her, from what I've seen." Coffee is brought up, and Souta seems a bit interested. "I mean, if you're offering, maybe I'll take you up on that." "Apparently some of the Kendo club members like to do ''magical'' sparring, if you can believe it. Not all of them, clearly, but I'd been invited to join them. I imagine there's quite a variety there, considering this world's magic." He looks Adrien over for a moment before saying, "I'm fairly certain there are several members of the Kendo Club who'd be interested in training against a variety of sword styles. One of them told me as much." |
| Adrien Agreste | Interest sparks in Adrien's gaze at hearing both parts of that: Magical swordsmanship? Also mixing styles? The grin on him grows almost wild at the thought with both excitement, and mirth. "Oh, really? I hadn't realized! I've been kind of focused on a few friends lately that have been having a hard time of things that I never got around to speaking with them much. I think that sounds great, though!" "I can't really use magic with my sword, but... Ah, that doesn't matter much. I've fought youma with a mop before." It wasn't a great fight, but it was a fight he helped in! "And of course! Feel free to drop by sometime for a drink. Though I do warn you, I kind of have a cat." Here he hesitates uncertainly. "Chrono seems to have an aversion to them. Something about some girls he trained with." |
| Souta Camero | Souta considers for a moment if he should point Adrien in the right direction. While the model might not care to give out his ID, Sugata seemed to have no issue with it whatsoever. "You'll want to talk to Sugata Shindo about that. Go in henshin if you don't want to give yourself away. He seems to be the one taking the lead in arranging things like that." With a shrug, Souta offers, "If you'd care to go against weapons that aren't just swords, I also have some skill with a polearm and tonfas. ... Not at the same time, of course." If Souta seems perplexed at the mention of a cat, that's because he is. It takes him a moment to piece things together, since he's not ''that'' familiar with every detail of Chrono's life. "I take it he may have had issues with a Familiar. I'm surprised, though. He didn't strike me as the kind to have irrational fears." With a shrug, Souta adds, "Though in this world, maybe a fear of cats is perfectly rational." |
| Adrien Agreste | Adrien Agreste reaches back with one hand to rub at his neck. The other arm remains stiffly where it was due to his foil being tucked beneath that arm. It was ingrained in him not to wave a sword around absently! It's safe where it is, with no chance of accidentally harming himself or others. "I've a bit of experience with a staff as well. Not as much as saber of course but I did have an excellent teacher for fencing." A prior Olympic actually though he opts not to mention that. It might seem as if he were bragging--If Souta even understood the reference in the first place. "Aaah, I wouldn't say his fear is irrational. He explained it to me once. I just try to be cautious, a bit, out of respect for him. He ought to feel comfortable in his own place!" Which had made it very awkward when 'Cat Noir' got caught by Chrono that one time. That's when he had to admit his identity. A solemn nod comes as he repeats, "Sugata Shindo. I'll look into that, then." Finally he pauses to let his gaze sweep around again realizing they were pretty much the only club members left at this point. "I guess we ought to get cleaned up too at this point. I'd offer to loan you my shampoo but I imagine you need a better conditioner than what I use currently." |
| Souta Camero | Souta's foil remains pointed down and away from people, even as he crosses his arms. As he glances around the room, he notices what Adrien does: that they're alone here. "When it comes to weapons I was mostly self taught at first, which... isn't always great. I didn't get formal training before reaching the TSAB, but they helped me shore up my more glaring weaknesses." Souta listens to Adrien talk about Chrono's fear with a pensive frown, then nods. "Of course. It's good of you to be so considerate. I'll keep in mind the same caution, since it matters to him." Letting his arms uncross, Souta says, "We should. And... oh, I wouldn't dream of borrowing your shampoo. Not with the sheer amount I need to use to maintain all of this. That wouldn't be right." Souta rubs the back of his neck with his free hand for a moment before saying, "I'll be seeing you around then?" |
| Adrien Agreste | Adrien Agreste can only laugh warmly at the mention of how much shampoo Souta would need, though he does have to nod in understanding. The boy had a lot more hair than he did. "If you do need to though let me know. Father never limits my allowance when it comes to grooming supplies. Sometimes you don't know if something is good until you try it, and he would prefer I use the best I can get than continue to use something sub-par." It was probably also to encourage good cleanliness habits in a teenage boy in the first place. Something that was NOT an issue for Adrien. A quick nod follows as he grins to Souta again. "For sure. It was great meeting you, Souta. Don't be a stranger!" With that he steps back giving a quick dip of his head. It was a Japanese mannerism even if Adrien certainly wasn't Japanese. Though he was fluent there was an accent that screamed 'not local' no matter how hard he tried. "I'll see you around!" |
