Mamoru Chiba It's not too terribly long after the groups broke up -- some to the library, some to the infirmary, some to the kitchen, and some back out to bring in the survivors our heroes had found out there. King Endymion's ghost has been making rounds, quietly addressing small groups.

Now he comes to Amy, wherever she's gone: he clears his throat to announce his presence, since he can't scuff the floor.

"I'm afraid I didn't catch your name," he says with a smile as he approaches. It's small and reserved, but it's at least real. "I came over to thank you for heeding my daughter's call and coming to help us-- and ask if you had any questions."
Amy Faust     Amy is somewhere in the library. Trying to learn how to use whatever organizational system is there but she can't focus with a concern on her mind. She chickened out and didn't say it back there, what if because of that she never gets to--

I'm afraid I didn't catch your name.

She startles out of her reverie and looks up at him and turns. It's so weird how it's so clearly Mamoru and yet also, a little bit not. She hasn't really thought about how to handle social interactions with alternate versions of your friends who are thousand-year-old rulers.

"Uh... Amanda Faust, sir." She briefly nods her head. "From America. Although it's a little complicated..." she trails off into mumbling, "I guess the specifics don't matter..."

Then she steels herself and takes a breath and looks up at him with determination. "I have so many questions... but right now... I have to know... This won't get in the way of helping save your world, but... is there ''anything''--"

Wait, that's getting a bit out of order. "I mean... You remember the problems of the old world. I'm sure for most of your people it's just something in the history books, a-and as a teenager you were only exposed to so much, but now you must have talked to others, must have seen the signs in those memories..."

Ugh, she's so bad at getting to the point!

"We didn't have your apocalypse. The world just kept going, and its problems did too. And as magical girls, we fight magical evils and would-be conquerors and world-destroyers the rest of the world doesn't even know about, but we can't fight world hunger, or homelessness, or bigotry, or the inequality of wealth and resources that all of those things are being used to ''maintain''." She glances away. "Or, like, people's medical needs..."

She looks up at him again. "In a few years, we'll be powerless adults like everyone else. I don't want the ''world'' to suffer, and I especially don't want my ''friends'' to have to face that there's ''nothing'' they can do when they grow up, after working so hard to save the world!"

She holds out her hands, palm-up, "If there's ''anything'' we can take back, cures to save people, scientific and technological advancements we can use to get a foothold in capitalism and start having the resources to influence things..."

"E-even if it all runs on magic, then the information on ''society'', and the problems you faced reforming it and rebuilding it, at least maybe that will be of help to others working on the problem."

"I'm not the right g-gal to lead people or plan things... But I can do this, collect the knowledge to help us, make sure we have it even if the Fade takes us and we forget magic... So please..."

She looks down at the floor and clasps her hands together. "If there's anything you can give us... It could save an entire other future."
Mamoru Chiba "Amanda Faust," repeats the King, and nods. He sets his sceptre down and keeps his fingertips on the part that honestly looks like a hand guard on some kind of sword, more balancing it like a fidget than leaning. He listens.

And then he looks-- very apologetic, and he says, "I'm sorry, that was a lot very quickly, and I'm incapable of giving anything my full attention right now. But I did get, out of that, that life is incredibly hard and you'd like to bring a little of the future into the past to make things better more quickly."

He pauses for a second.

"Okay," he says agreeably. He gestures over to where he was speaking with Laisa and Veronica a little bit ago; they're holding a large leatherbound paper book and reading it avidly.

"That's world history from 2000 to 2050. Unfortunately it's the only copy in the palace, but it's a common book. So when this is over, you can take copies home with you. That and the other volumes-- reaching to 2950. It's currently 2969, so the book in progress isn't finished, and is only available on the network, which is down."
Usagi Tsukino "Mamochan," Usagi says from behind the king, and her voice is matter of fact and kind and affectionate, a voice from his memories, because his actual wife's voice had settled into something slightly deeper, a little stronger, with the seven years of extra maturity she has over this Usagi. "Is Sailor Pluto going to let us take those back, or is this a 'sometimes kings get to do what they want', thing?"

She'd not intentionally followed them, but rather kind of wandered along, after her conversation with Catra, lost in her own thoughts until she heard Amy's strained, hopeful voice and heard King Endymion's offer.

"Oh, would you prefer Endykun, if you're using Endymion all the time now?" She hums to herself, a little thoughtful, aware she's interrupting a serious moment, but finding this equally important.
Amy Faust     History books... "Well, um... I guess that's something, although I would think you or Usagi would have more insight into what troubles you faced reforming the world than the textbook. Is there really no science we can--"

Amy jumps a little when ''suddenly Usagi'', and before she can process that the other girl is doing, well, ''that'' and Amy's brain frantically scrambles to make sense of this social situation but with Usagi's words the best it can come up with is: ''Is she '''charming''' King Endymion to sway him to tell Pluto to let us have the books?!''

This situation is a little messed up, but it's somehow kind of comforting to know it's not just herself that's messed up...
Mamoru Chiba One of King Endymion's eyebrows is up this time, and he once more waits for Amy to stop--

--but Usagi stopped her first, and also him. He whirls, his cape swishing behind him, because of course OF COURSE he thinks...

And there's Sailor Moon with her golden hair and lack of centimeters and adorable face and ''dangerous living''.

He's a little pink.

He also looks a little mad. Not annoyed, but like, brow furrowed face a little pinched mad. But what comes out of his mouth is, "How would you feel if your prince called my queen Usako--?" he starts, and then realizes Amy is watching them be ''like this''. "She thinks I need messing with, but," sidelong LOOK at Usagi, "there's a time and a place, ''Usa.''"

Then he spreads his hands, the sceptre vanished elsewhere into the spiritual aether. "At any rate, Amanda, I annotated the whole thing and one of our friends wrote it. We had a thousand years, of course I annotated twenty volumes of history."

Then he puffs up one cheek for a half second and lets it go, sighing. "Sometimes kings do what they want. It won't hurt anything: our timelines diverged even before 2000. We didn't have anyone but us, we had no one fighting alongside us back then either. And we never had a Fade, or the Veil the way I've had it explained to me."

He looks back to Amy, and his arms are at his sides, and the sceptre's in hand again. It's like a cane, it's like a sword, it's armor of a sort. A physical mask and a thing to do with his hands. "Our technology is predominantly magic, with backup solar, wind, and hydro. Magic is ''everywhere'', the Silver Crystal and Elysion have more than enough to spare. But right now, the Silver Crystal... is missing, and Elysion is spending everything on not succumbing to Dark Energy. So obviously we need a more robust backup system."
Usagi Tsukino He looks a little mad, but not very, extremely mad, and so Usagi smiles at him, impish and loving and yes messing with him a little but also mostly just - warm, and comfortable. She does him the grace of thinking about it, for a moment. "Well, she's me. Another me, but kind of the same way Serenity is me, so I wouldn't mind. If I can love Chibiusa like she's mine, why couldn't Mamochan love your queen like he loves me, or I love you like I love him?"

She cocks her head, genuine and earnest. He is not her Mamoru, but he is Mamoru, and therefore he is hers. That's how the world works. She does make the rules.

At least, when it comes to this.

"...sorry, sorry, you're being a King, so I'll be good. I promise! And true," she considers, "Your world is so different from ours, even all the histories might not give us a ton to work on. And everything really ''is'' powered by a bunch of silver and gold magic..." She hums. "Is that why Chibiusa-chan kept trying to steal my Silver Crystal? Because her Mama's is missing?"
Amy Faust     Amy's social model predicts that Usagi-chan and Mamoru aren't going to get jealous over the other flirting with other versions of themselves. But then, Endymion knows a ''version'' of Usagi-chan really well, and seems to think she ''would''...

Are they different? Or is it just that their personalities changed a bit over time?

Then her name is called, and her eyes widen a bit at the explanation that this is ''personally annotated'' with the King's and Queen's experiences. This... probably ''is'' the second-best thing she could hope for.

She approaches the book, and she ''wants'' to read it, but there cannot ''possibly'' be time to read through it all right now...

...Well, maybe a little, since it seems they ''are'' getting a rest after their journey here, before... whatever it is they're going to do, to take the fight to the Black Moon Clan.

But everything is magic. Amy holds a hand to her chin. "I see. So it's like Lazlo losing their ley line nexus... wait, no, they'd ''still'' have backup nuclear--" She shakes her head. "Fictional example you probably haven't heard of."

"Umm, I really almost can't believe that Mizuno-tensai wouldn't have insisted on backups... You probably ''could'' have set up travelling wave reactors that won't start until they're needed... although I'm not sure how often you'd have to change out the fuel rods to keep them ready when it's not running... you could have concern for nuclear waste, but it's not like the uranium's not already in the ground doing its thing anyway..." She shakes her head. "Right, sorry, and it doesn't change what's done; I guess that's for your Department of Energy to figure out after all this. Heck, as you say, you ''did'' set up backups but solar, wind and water are being messed with by the darkness -- heck, I wouldn't be surprised if ''fusion'' is messed with by dark energy, it does seem like the really powerful bad guys like to mess with the sun, huh?"

"...I'm just surprised though. Scientists gonna scientist. Especially in a world where no one ''has'' to be productive to live, there ''must'' be people who kept investigating how nonmagical stuff works... and there would be people who'd ''make'' stuff just because, right? But I guess none of it's, like..." She shakes her head. "No one is ''cataloguing'' this stuff with an eye towards our exact... situation..."

She's ''sure'' she's seen posters and books in her own time purporting to contain the essential information one would need if one ever traveled back in time. She smiles. "I think we need to check your internet, once power's restored."

    "...Wait, what's Elysion?"
Mamoru Chiba He's not stupid, but,,,

This is not the King's area of expertise. "Truly, you'll have to ask Sailor Mercury once this is over," he says apologetically. "I haven't gone near any of it except to say if it's doing something untoward to the ecosystem, I know just enough about engineering to get myself in trouble. But you're welcome to the whole library to look around for something better than my layman's understanding. And... as I said to the others, once this is over, we can get you the mass produced edition of the history with the annotations printed."

Endymion exhales, glancing toward Usagi again, and he gets the smallest smile looking at her -- but it's got the flavor of fear and loss in it. She can tell, she can see it. He believes, but he's so afraid. "That's very reasonable," he says. "I'll accept it. But I can't call you Usako, you're too baby. Chibiu-- ah, my daughter. She ''takes'' that name? That's funny. She was stealing your Silver Crystal? That's not funny. I'll talk to her."

Then Amy asks about Elysion, and the King looks thoughtful. "I think you should ask your Tuxedo Kamen. You're from his world, that's his story."
Usagi Tsukino "Yeah, that all went over my head too," Usagi says sympathetically, wishing she could pat the King's hand. "But all of this is giving me the really bad feeling that I ''do'' have to go to college."

A travesty, truly.

"That's fair. I am like, way younger than you now, and saying I'm sixteen probably does not help at all." Which is a shame, because she is so mature and sixteen, dammit!

"She does! Well, first she argued that Usagi is her name, but I had it first so we like, made a compromise on it. And it's okay. She just wanted to help out as much as she could, and it's not like she actually got it from me."

She might feel differently if Chibiusa had been successful, but... Honestly probably not. She's kind of a sucker for that little pain in her butt.

"It's Mamo's thing," Usagi confirms, "But it's not like, important right now, so."
Amy Faust     Amy nods in agreement at 'you'll have to ask Sailor Mercury' and 'you'll have to ask your Tuxedo Kamen.'

College... "With how hard you had to learn to work in high school, you'll probably do fine. And you've got friends to help you."

Amy gives Usagi an awkward look at the sixteen comment, grimacing a little. "It does not help, no."

She looks back to Endymion and her account of events mixes with Usagi's, "She actually told us she was Usagi Tsukino at first. I thought maybe she was Usagi-chan from an alternate dimension, or like, the sister her parents had instead in another timeline..." Amy smiles briefly, remembering the distant, simpler time of a few months ago.

"I forget who came up with calling her Chibiusa, but it stuck and she's never complained that I've heard."

But... "Wait, the Silver Crystal in the future is ''missing?'' Is that how the Black Moon Clan was able to... incapacitate you two?"

Also, the thought of Usagi in college finally connects to another thought in the back of her brain, about what they'll do after they graduate, and she turns to Usagi in shock, "W-wait, did you hear everything?! About... uh... my worrying..." she looks nervous, not sure what any of her friends would think of that...
Mamoru Chiba King Endymion smiles indulgently at the 'sixteen' commentary, and only shakes his head slightly. No, it doesn't help. He listens to the explanation of Chibiusa's adventures with Usagi's Silver Crystal-- and then he smiles again. "She wants to help so badly. I was so proud -- and I mean horrified, but proud -- to see her fighting alongside you, she's so much safer with magic of her own to use, and that's not something we could have given her here." His face twists a little. "Until a month ago, she couldn't have been safer anyway..."

Then he nods again at the Silver Crystal being missing, and looks at both Usagi and Amy, "I can only imagine it was. Your Silver Crystal is still in your compact -- but Serenity no longer has one, and she doesn't put it away because she's using it for-- for so many things--"

Dimmed or flickering lights out in the city where the crystal batteries are running out. He's not thinking about the outer colonies right now, he'd go insane.

"But if she needs to use its power directly against a threat, she needs it in her hands, and... it wasn't where it normally lives, and we couldn't find Small Lady, and everything happened very quickly after that."

His gaze settles on Amy again and he tilts his head a little. "Why are you afraid of Usagi knowing what you told me? I find it hard to believe that there could be a community as willing to help as yours, not being willing or able to help you with your fears. Would that I could help you with it, but all I can offer is a place here if you can make it back."
Usagi Tsukino Alas, what's even the point of being sixteen if you can't flirt with your thousand year old future husband? Anime lied to her.

These are just quick teasing thoughts that flash through her mind, while the rest churns over thoughts of... "Why can't she use magic, anyway? She has the potential, clearly, and I mean - she used magic once, in our time... She got really upset and it all just poured out of her, so there's ''something''. Is she supposed to be a Senshi, like us? Is it because I'm still Moon?"

Her mother was not a Senshi (probably. probably. unless she just found the outfit undignified...?), and Serenity wasn't one, but Usagi was, but Serenity ''did'' have the Silver Crystal, even if it was most often in her mother's hands...

"She has Luminous Titan now, so I guess it's more like hypothetical, and whatever, but she can't have him forever, and she has to come home eventually, so if she... I mean, I wish she didn't have to fight, but she wants to... Ahhh, look at me, rambling!"

She gives her head a quick, brisk shake, twintails snapping like bouncy whips.

"I can't believe the Silver Crystal can do all that... Except, maybe I can. Queen Serenity could do so much with it, and I guess, some day I will too... ugh, I didn't even want to work this hard in high school, Amy-chan, Mamochan and Ami-chan just give me that Look when I don't try and it's really unfair. Very unfair! But if I'm going to have all this responsibility, and like... power... I guess being a housewife just isn't in my cards." The words are light, but there's a deeper hurt that lingers for a moment, before she flashes a bright smile.

"I didn't hear what you said. But it's you, and Mamo-sama was offering books, so I figure you're asking for future stuff to bring back to kill capitalism."
Amy Faust     Chibiusa has magic. "I have no idea how senshi magic works, let along senshi magic from ''here.'' Why weren't ''you'' Sailor Moon at her age? ...I mean, apparent age. Heck, maybe that's part of it? Whatever's keeping her young. But Sailor Saturn is young, too... At least, she ''looks'' it. I didn't ask her her age."

Amy shrugs a little. "At least Kyuubey didn't get her. I imagine you and Mamoru told her to Say No To Wishes, or maybe even he fears -- well, can see the negative utility of -- how many people would make a concerted effort to sabotage his plans, or what the silver crystal could do... You ''brought back the dead''... although he might not know that."

Hearing Usagi give up a dream ''hurts''. Amy might not be willing to assume she has a future, but someone else, especially her dear friend... "You should be able to!" She states, firmly.

Why is she afraid of Usagi overhearing? You ask this question with her right here?? Uhhh...

She does smile at Usagi's phrasing. "That's more or less right, yeah. Sorry if I've brought that up a lot. It... shouldn't be your problem to worry about."

And then she's offered a place, and she realizes, shocked, not having considered that. "Here... I wouldn't have to hide anything. Memories, past, magic... I could openly be all of me here instead of hiding it..." There's hope in that, but... "I'd have to leave all my friends behind. I..." She glances at Usagi, eyes watery, "Don't take this the wrong way, but," She looks away, "realistically, I know I'd make new ones. There are people that mattered to me in childhood or in high school that I haven't talked to in decades. Over centuries... No matter how dear to me everyone is now..."

She shakes her head. "I'm not saying it's an easy decision. Just that, living openly, and having a place in, like, ''the world'' rather than just at Radiant Heart... It's enough to make it something I have to think about."
Mamoru Chiba There's an abortive gesture as King Endymion starts to lift a hand to put it on the back of Usagi's shoulder, then remembers he's immaterial. There's a little sigh that's a half-laugh, unfunny, and his hand falls. "We don't know why she can't use her power. The assumption is that she'll be a senshi -- though I have to say I love her little outfit, did she design that herself? -- because there isn't any other kind of magic here, except for dark energy and the eminently unprovable yokai."

He's silent a moment, and then he suggests quietly, "With the information I'm giving you, maybe you won't have to become a queen. I want you to be able to save your world as it is, that beautiful crowded world of incredible cultural diversity-- and I want you to be able to do what you want to do, just like we try and make happen here for everyone else. I want you to be able to be a mother without interruptions, without having to leave your baby at home while you purify a piece of continent at a time."

After a briefer pause, this time, he asks, "...what's Luminous Titan?"

And then a much briefer pause and a furrowing of brow. "If you're going to do that, then you're Usagi-hime and you're not getting out of it."

Finally his attention returns to Amy. "Her not being able to access her power, normally, probably has to do with whatever's keeping her young, yes." Hilariously it doesn't even occur to him that Amy might not want to express it in front of Usagi; he's so used to 'anything that I can hear so can Usagi' that it makes no difference, in his hindbrain for protocols, that she's the sixteen year old counterpart of his wife, not his wife.

But after saying that, he listens again, and he smiles. "We owe you all deeply for coming to help. A place here is the least I can offer."
Too bad he doesn't know about grief seeds.
Usagi Tsukino "There wasn't a Sailor Moon when I was her age," a pause, "Technically, there wasn't one ''either'' time I was her age. But I think my Guardian Senshi were around her age... maybe a little older? Serenity was a baby back then..."

She has no memories of that time, only the bone deep knowledge that Serenity had grown loved and protected by her guardians. The King suggests it's because of whatever is keeping Chibiusa young, and she nods, slowly.

"Saturn is actually that young - I think she's two or three years younger than us, Amy-chan, and we definitely told her about Kyubey! Not a chance were we letting that jerk play tricks on Chibiusa-chan. She did make that outfit herself! Isn't it cute? I think she takes after you and Mamochan... Luminous Titan is the magic device that's letting her transform. They're working together, but he used to work with Saturn, before she woke up."

Wow it's impressive that she kept any and all remnants of complicated feelings out of that. Or maybe it's just that she has complicated feelings about something else.

"Maybe I should be able to - and hopefully I won't become Queen, because I really don't want to - but either way..." She sighs and pats her cheeks, squishing her face. "You guys are like a thousand years old. And Amy-chan's right - my silver Crystal may not be as strong as your queens, but I still brought back the dead, and I fixed Paris when Beryl broke it and I made Moon Space. And you have lived a thousand years and you're all young and hot, not wrinkled up like Junichi-kun. You... You'll probably keep living a long time, won't you, Mamo-sama?"

It seems she has decided to accept Usagi-hime, and tilts her head a little downwards, bangs shadowing her eyes.

"I'm still going to be Mamochan's wife, and I'm still going to be a mother, but if there's one thing I've had to learn over and over and over again ever since Luna dropped a compact in my lap and I ran off to save Naru-chan, it's that being Sailor Moon is a responsibility I can't give up. I have power that other people don't and that makes it my responsibility to use it to help them. And I bet that you guys were super unprepared when you had to save the world and - purify continents with a baby at home?! Yeah! Yeah, I bet if your queen is anything like me, and she's definitely like me because she's me and older, then at a certain point she wished she had actually gone to school like Ami-chan and Rei-chan and Mama and Papa and grandpa and great grandpa and literally everyone keeps saying we should, if only so she knew ''more''."

Learning, ugh. School, ugh. Being unprepared - ''ugh''.

Being aware a friend might leave - ''agh''.

"... I'm not taking it the wrong way. You'd... you'd have to do what's best for you, right? And Madoka-chan and Kamiko-chan could probably break your contract, like they did for Sayaka-chan, and you'd be all good, to be in this - well, this world going to be super cool and awesome once everyone fixes it!"

of course the thought of losing a friend hurts, but it would hurt more to guilt a friend into staying when she didn't want to.
Amy Faust     "It is a cute outfit." Amy agrees. "Devices are these things that... there's this dimension-faring civilization or a bunch of them, out there somewhere? It's a style of magic they use... something about your soul or magic potential functioning as a "linker core" and... the spells are based on math the Devices help you do?"

Amy rubs the back of her head with an awkward grimace. "It was kinda complex... maybe it makes more sense if you can do it, but I can't seem to interface with Devices, perhaps because my Linker Core is..." She looks at the ruby-red gem on the wrist of her glove.

Usagi talking about her future draws Amy's attention. She folds her arms. "Everyone learns differently. Sometimes school isn't the best at teaching things... if you struggle, it might be that the teaching method doesn't fit you, rather than that--"

Amy's eyes widen at a sudden thought and she looks back to the King. "Has your Usagi ever said she wished they'd taught a different way, or that she was better at learning stuff a specific way? ''There's'' some knowledge we can use pretty immediately..."

And then she stiffens at the word contract.

For a brief moment, she'd forgotten. There are no grief seeds here.

Her voice stiffens, too. "Sayaka's loophole doesn't apply. Klarissa became a Witch and completed Sayaka's contract. The other two she restored to life had also completed their contracts, but without magic they were taken by the Fade."

Again, an awkward grimace as she looks away from the others, hand on the back of her neck. "It's fine. I... forgot, for a moment, so focused on this world. But it still means a lot to me that you made the offer."
Mamoru Chiba "I always thought she took more after you," the King says, smile at Usagi small but real. He's so quiet, reserved. He's so quiet. "I was very surprised to see her henshin looking a lot like mine."

He glances to Amy, then blinks at Usagi in surprise. "I don't think your Silver Crystal is any less powerful than Us-- Serenity's-- the Queen's. I think she only has more practice using it, and has grown more in tune with it from using it ''so much'' for at least over a century." His smile's a bit bigger now. "Your heart illuminates us all, Usagi-hime. And it still does, a thousand years later."

He leans in just a little bit, his tallness being Very Tall right now, and his eyebrows go up over his mask. "Young and hot," he repeats, teasing in his voice. But he straightens up and smiles crookedly, one arm moving for a split second, almost lifting. "She went to college but didn't finish, I'm sorry. She took a break for Small Lady, and she'd only just started taking classes again when the apocalypse hit, and Small Lady was about... two? Three? I wasn't finished with my medical residency yet."

Then his attention goes back to Amy, and he looks interested by the discussion of Luminous Titan and Devices in general-- but then Amy asks about learning styles, and the King reaches up to rub at the back of his head, looking blank. "I helped her, and Mercury helped her, and success happened. I'm not sure what knowledge you're looking for there..."

Then Amy's stiffening at Usagi's talk of a contract, and the King looks moderately confused. "Well, if you manage to sort it out, and can come back, the door's always open to you, Amanda Faust."
Amy Faust     "You were doing ''med'' school? ''Daaamn.''" Amy's eyes widen, impressed.

When it comes to discussing of contracts and having a place here, "Thank you, uh, King." She bows, and then tries to turn it into a curtsey after she's bowing.

She stands up and looks between the others, thoughtful and rubbing her chin. "You know... I guess while we're here, we can find out if Kyubey's full of bullshit. I mean he ''probably'' is, but it'd be nice to have clear scientific proof. ...Oh wait, Mizuno-tensai's memories of Silver Millenium physics probably already do contradict him, come to think of it... We really should've asked about that..." Amy shakes her head. "Sorry, rambling a little."

"...I don't know what any of our futures hold, but I appreciate the option. We'll see how things in our world turn out, you don't have to contend with the Veil or the Fade--"

And then she freezes. And looks at Usagi. "Wait... I thought your, uh, Moon-Mom made the Veil and the Fade so that you'd have a normal life when you reincarnated... So shouldn't they have had that here too? At least until you, Future You learned to lift it, right?"
Usagi Tsukino "Maybe," Usagi says, a little doubtful, "But you're definitely her favorite. And - maybe - oh my ''god'' a century."

Just the thought of using her Silver Crystal for a ''century'' makes her want to wince. "Oh you Usagi-hime'd me! Is this revenge for Mamo-sama?"

It does make her smile, though, and as he leans in, she deliberately looks him up and down, in all his tallness, "Young and hot. ''Absolutely'' young and hot. I can't believe you get taller. "

So her future self went to college too - at least, for a little bit. But she hadn't even gotten to finish, because - well, Usagi would also drop out for a baby! - "YOU WENT TO MED SCHOOL?"

Shocker. Genuinely, a shocker. She cannot imagine Mamoru deciding to go to med school.

But then - Amy has questions, some of which are rambles she can tune out, but some of which are - "I don't think my Mama made the Fade. I mean - even if she wanted me to be able to have a normal life, she wouldn't want my Senshi to lose their power."
Mamoru Chiba "Usagi-hime is definitely revenge for Mamo-sama," King Endymion says, corners of his eyes crinkling, and he glosses totally politely with nothing but Raised Eyebrows over the repetition of 'young and hot'. At the reactions to med school, also, King Endymion preens a little. "I'm surprised you're surprised," he laughs, "given your Mamoru is a healer too. But you are from a very different universe, his upbringing may have been different enough..."

Then the King shakes his head. "We don't have a Fade or a Veil. Someone already asked about those, and the only thing like any of that that we have is not being able to see through henshins unless we already know. But--"
