Veronica Perenna It's a clear evening, in a remote mountain village Laisa and Veronica have retired to, beckoned there by the local festival of a mountain village. The two girlfriends had promised each other to meet right at the festival, finding it sweeter to keep their kimonos from each other up until the last moment, and so Veronica is there by herself, waiting with trepidation for the arrival of her beloved, her long braid swinging quietly in the soft breeze.

Warm light spills from paper lanterns hung along the trail to the village shrine, and the air carries the smell of cedar and a faint touch of sandalwood incense, accompanied by the occasional sound of deep beat from the taiko drums positioned in a forest field just behind the main road. People stroll around in colorful yukata and kimonos of all kinds, while others walk in scarves and coats, having preferred a more casual getup. The clamor of friends calling out to each other and cries of joy resound everywhere, and many couples can be seen quietly enjoying the moment.

Stalls stand under soft lantern lights they are decorated with, each and every one of them buzzing with activity. Grills sends up smoky wisps as chicken skewers glazed with soy sauce turn a perfect golden brown under the masterful gaze of their vendors. Just a few feet away, the takoyaki stall bustles with clients, its cook deftly shaping each octopus ball in the sizzling pan, while the steam curls up in lazy spirals, grabbing the attention of kids pointing excitedly at the savory treats. Not too far, another stall offers cool warabi mochi dusted in kinako sugar, while a calligrapher writes with ink-stained fingers the wishes of visitors on strips of rice paper that would later flutter from a sacred tree.

Over by the game booths, people lean over shallow tubs of water, trying to scoop wriggling goldfish with paper nets that tear at the slightest tug, but far from inducing dejection, burst of giggles and renewed determination acccompanies each failure when the fish dart away or fall through the paper. Not far off, a ring-toss booth has drawn a small crowd, with players tossing wooden loops at tall pegs in hopes of snagging a prize. Tiny bells and painted ceramic foxes sit piled on the counter in the back, glinting in the lantern light and making every toss feel like a thrilling shot at luck together with little paper fans painted with cherry blossoms, wooden masks shaped like grinning tanuki, and miniature daruma dolls with bright red bodies that promise a bit of luck. Mask of all kind of animals and fantastical creatures like tengu, kitsune, and oni are hung upon a wooden rack just a bit further down, next to a man in an emerald yukata selling them.
Laisa Samuiko     There is a flutter of anticipation in Laisa's gut as she examines herself in the mirror, looking over her kimono one last time before going out to meet her darling. She is a bit more well kempt than her usual self today. Her usual messiness was always in of itself a kind of fashion statement, expressing a lack of concern regarding anyone's expectations or any requirements placed upon her. A direct rebellion against her past life. Today, though, she's saying something else: that she's willing to put in effort for her beloved. Not that Veronica has ever really pressured her in that direction, just... Well, Laisa does get a bit of a sweet thrill out of making her kitten blush.

Her purple hair is again in dual braids, though instead of hanging loose they hoop back upwards into a snowy-themed blue, white and silver hair ornament. Her kimono is purple with white floral print, tied together with a big golden bow in the back. Red eyes search over her reflection one last time, and hands makes a final delicate adjustment to her hair, before she clears her throat and decides that now is the time to head out.

Later, at the festival, she approaches the agreed upon meeting place. Her hands are clasped in front of her as she searches for Veronica among the festivities. Goldfish catching is noted, but quickly ignored when her beloved is not found amongst them. The beating of the taiko drum is heard, but pushed out of her mind. All distractions in the world are cast aside as Laisa's gentle yearning pushes her towards one singular goal.

And then she lays eyes upon her.

All noise stops and every distraction vanishes.

Laisa's heart stops as she bears witness to what she swears must be the prettiest girl who could ever possibly exist. How could such a goddess possibly be approachable? How could Laisa, such as she is, ever hope to speak to such a wonderful creature, let alone catch her? She'd fall in love if she wasn't already.

After a moment, her heart starts beating again, and she realizes that she doesn't need to worry about such things. That young lady is her girlfriend. She doesn't have to be afraid of getting close. She can just walk up to her.

So, with a soft smile and eyes full of love, Laisa begins to approach her darling kitten. Nothing else in the world matters more than being close to her.
Veronica Perenna Veronica is waiting quietly at the side of the road that announces the beginning of the festival, not too distant from where the first stall. Her arms drape softly in front of her, hands lightly folded at her waist, the pose quiet and composed. Her bell sleeves fall in gentle curves below her elbows, draping toward the ground in soft folds that are as still as her. It's not her first time wearing this kimono, and yet, her quiet heartbeat is ever slightly faster today, the apprehension of being seen in it filling her for the first time.

Not merely being seen in it, but a specific person looking at her, a person for which she wants to be at her very best, and she has never put more effort in any look she has ever wanted to appear as more than she did today. How could she not, when she is waiting for the person she cares for the most in this world? Despite the silent nervousness, she is smiling gracefully, counting any second that separates her from Laisa, as if time might move faster if it saw how carefully she had prepared herself for the one who mattered most.

The sounds of the festival drift toward her in waves, laughter, the faint ring of a bell, the distant rhythm of a drum, but she ignores them, not concerning herself with them in these moments. Veronica doesn?t shift her stance, but her eyes search gently through the passing faces, catching each movement with quiet anticipation. She doesn?t fidget, though the stillness has begun to hum in her fingertips. It isn?t impatience. It?s something softer, like the hush before two hands find each other in the space between them.

And then she sees her, the angel that has softly taken hold of her heart.

The presence of her snowsweet whisks her away to another world, one for only the two of them, illuminated by the radiance that exhudes from the aura of the girl in front of her, her eyes searching avidly for her gaze, etching into her memory the perfect beauty of the one that has graced Veronica with becoming her girlfriend.

The brunette's stillness has frozen completely, as if hit by the hidden magic of the snow angel, and yet, the spell is broken just as it came, dispelled by Laisa's joyful approach, and with light steps, Veronica gets closer to her, a mirthful laugh that spills endlessly from her heart, her arms moving around Laisa's body when the distance has shortened itself to nothingness, and Veronica's blue eyes look closely into her the crimson eyes of her girlfriend.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa and Veronica are truly lost in their own little world, and in this moment nothing else matters but them. Oh, Veronica. Sweet Veronica. Laisa's heart skips a beat when she feels the warmth of her beloved's arms wrap around her, and she embraces her kitten in return. It's so fulfilling to finally achieve the closeness she's be yearning for since... well, since the last time they met, really. Laisa's happy giggle joins with Veronica's own, making a harmony that only they can hear.

Well, that's not entirely true. Their embrace is certainly noticed by the occasional onlooker, but that doesn't really matter to Laisa. She's enjoying the moment and getting lost in her beloved's eyes. Nothing could intrude upon their personal paradise.

"Good evening, my beloved kitten," coos the snow angel. "I hope I didn't make you wait too long. I've been looking forward to seeing you again. I had to keep myself from running into your arms."

She stands on her tip toes to give her girlfriend a kiss, then rests back on her heels as she looks up to her. "I love your kimono, by the way. You look amazing. Truly worth the wait."

Wanting to get a little bit closer, Laisa rests her head on Veronica's shoulder for a moment, rocking back and forth to enjoy her kitten's warmth. Only after a good moment of tender closeness does she pull away. With the brightest, warmest smile she asks, "So... what shall we do first? Walk through the festival? Play some games? Find a nice bench to cuddle on~?" The last line is said with a bit of a lilt to her voice. Truly, she'd be happy no matter what she was doing, as long as she had Veronica's company.
Veronica Perenna Veronica breaths softly in their closeness, just letting the seconds tick by without urgency, listening to Laisa's sweet laugh like she is being offered the best symphony in the world, and it's as if Laisa's radiance is seeping inside of her, and she almost feels like her joy is now made manifest, visible to everyone with the utmost clarity. In truth, it likely is, to any that may happen to look at her face, to notice the endearing way she holds Laisa close, to hear the timbre of her voice when she utters her first words.

"Good evening to you too", the brunette smiles, gently brushing her hair, making sure to steer clear of the ornate decoration Laisa has prepared. "You didn't make me wait long at all, and even if you had, it would have been very much worth it. I have counted every second that separated me from you, but that's because I yearn for your presence greedily", she confesses with glee and serenity.

Some more people move aside while they stand there, but they make no sign of having minded it, and Veronica's heart is similarly unperturbed, like crystalline water reflecting the charm of the person in front of her. "And you know, waiting for you has made your arrival all the more fonder to me. If I had to do it a second time, I would do it with no hesitation."

Then she returns the kiss, meeting Laisa's lips halfway, and lingering slightly basking in the affection and giving the purple-haired girl all of her own. "I can see you went the extra mile with yours. You truly are the picture of elegance. Have I ever told you you are always amazing?", she laughs, clinging softly in their embrace.

Veronica hums melodiously as three alternatives are laid out in front of her. As much as she would never say no to more cuddling, they have both come all this way so they could share the festival with each other, and her eyes gleam with the desire to form memories of this occasion to share them with her snowsweet. And she is sure there will be time for all of it, so why not reserve the best for last, when the fireworks will go off? "Why don't we go eat something first? Anything you wanna try?", she smiles adoringly.
Laisa Samuiko     Truly Laisa is in bliss, being so close to her singular most important person in the world, and while she would ''love'' to snuggle up to her little kitten (as she is wont to do) she knows full well that once the cuddling starts in earnest it's unlikely to stop for a while. So yes, she agrees, it's better to save the best for last. Especially for when there are fireworks to watch.

"Oh? Were you longing for me, the way that I long for you? Yearning for the next moment when I can see your face, feel your embrace, and whisper sweet nothings into your ear?" Veronica's snowsweet giggles. "Maybe our hearts beat as one, then. Well, if that's how you feel, let's enjoy each other's company for the evening, and what a wonderful evening it will be!"

Twisting back and forth, Laisa bites her bottom lip for a moment. "Well of course I'll go the extra mile for ''you'', dear. You're everything to me~."

The subject of food is brought up, and it's probably the best thing to start with. A bit of energy will get them through the evening, and they'll need it since there's oh so much to do. Laisa hums and tilts her head, keeping her arms around Veronica's back as she thinks. "Oh! How about some yakitori? I think I saw some nearby. Would you like that? Maybe later, we could have some yakisoba if there's some around. Depending on how much running around we do."

She stands on her toes again to look over Veronica's shoulder, which has the hidden bonus of allowing her to press her cheek against her kitten's. Sure, there will be time for snuggles later, but she can't help but steal one more for now. "Anything you'd like to try? They have all kinds here."
Veronica Perenna The series of questions Laisa sends Veronica's way makes the brunette grin conspiratorially and she leans closer with her mouth whispering closer to her ear, taking advantage of her standing up and pressing cheeks together, a gesture returned with a delicate touch at the back of Laisa's head.

"But of course I have been yearning for you. You are so charming, and so sweet, I can't help but be pulled toward you. Which is exactly why your theory is in high regards. I am pretty sure your heartbeat is the source of why it is strong." It probably is nothing new to Laisa, but the brunette would never miss on a chance to tell her. And so close together, she is pretty sure the purple-haired girl can feel it herself.

She steps back from their closeness, just a moment of hesitation in her gaze, and she reminds herself of her own suggestion. Then her hand nonetheless seeks Laisa's squeezing it lightly, and she looks ahead, towards the food stall and luckily for them, the crowd has started to thin. This shouldn't take so long.

"I am your everything, uh? Then I guess we just broke reality, because we recur in each other again and again and again", she smiles sweetly, looking at her one more time on the way to the food stand. She takes a little amount of time to look at the offer.

"I have heard the chicken tail given a delightful crunchiness to the yakitori", Veronica explains her decision, paying for some to share between the two of them, then giving Laisa space to get a few more of her preferred type if she wants. "This is my second time to a festival, and I had promised myself I would try these the next time I could."
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa smiles widely as her darling's hand touches the back of her head. Such a soothing gesture. Laisa could never be touched starved with such an affectionate heart thief.

With a sigh, she pulls away, and hand seeks hand. Still connected to Veronica, Laisa smiles dreamily at her and says, "I love you so much."

In such a calm and blissful state, the snow angel lets herself be led to the food stall, following her darling around without a thought in her fuzzy mind.

The joke about breaking reality snaps her out of her affectionate reverie, and she giggles in response. "Ah well, perhaps it's for the best that we recur in each other so, because I can never get enough of you."

As their turn at the stall comes up, Laisa taps her chin and says, "Chicken tail, huh? Well, let's get some negima, too." Laisa then pays for her order, also with intent to share. Though, regretfully, handling a plate of food while also trying to eat from it does mean releasing her beloved's hand.

As she takes a skewer and bites a piece of meat on it, she takes the chewing time as a chance to think of a fun romantic gesture. Pointing the skewer towards Veronica, the snow angel asks, "What's your feeling about being hand fed? By me, I mean."

Then she offers up the yakitori skewer for her darling to take a bite, unless her girlfriend turns it down.

After, she gets another idea. They might not be able to hold hands, but they can walk arm-in-arm if they're careful. So she hooks one arm around her darling's and tries to lean against her while holding onto the plate. Her next few steps afterwards are a bit careful, just in case this actually turns out to be a terrible idea.
Veronica Perenna "I love you with all my heart", Veronica replies with blooming happiness on her face, a red hue creeping up on her cheeks blissfully, returning the words of affection with no hesitation, and Veronica bounces back from the stand once both of them have taken their orders.

She starts walking around the street, Laisa's soft grasp confidently maintained while Veronica keeps her own food balanced in her other hand. It's true that they will have to let go if they are to eat their food.

"I bet people have a lot of fun cooking yakitori, there are so many variations, and little worry it's ever going to be monotonous", Veronica observes, finally letting go to move to her plate and get a yakitori off of it.

She sighs a bit at it, but her eyes gleam when Laisa comes up with her idea to keep spoiling each other. "I think that's an awesome idea", she agrees wholeheartedly, reaching down to delicately slide a bit of the yakitori offered to her off the skewer with a bite.

But in a bit of a feint, she kisses Laisa's hand first, and only then she moves up to obtain the promised yakitori, her heart fluttering after what she has just done. "You make it taste so much better when it's you offering", she comments, hooking her arm around Laisa's and in a bit of a complicated twist, reaching up towards her girlfriend's face with her yakitori so she can have a taste as well.

"When I first tried yakitori, I would have never imagined next time I would have it offered so lovingly. Things were a lot different back then, and of all the changes, you are undoubtedly the best one", she praises wholeheartedly.
Laisa Samuiko     "Oh it must be, right?" Laisa agrees, regarding cooking yakitori. "I bet you get really good at it if you run a food stall for a while." For a moment she imagines sharing a food stall of some sort. Possibly with Veronica. The thought of being in a tight space and working in concert with her girlfriend makes her blush a bit. It would be a tease though, since they'd never have time to cuddle.

Not that teasing is a bad thing. It means she'd get to spend all day longing for her girlfriend while also spending time with her. Such daydreaming doesn't last for long, because right now her dream of spending time with her girlfriend has come true.

Veronica agrees with her idea to spoil her, and Laisa is delighted as she sees her darling go for an offered bite... only to kiss her hand? The snow angel's cheeks tingle and turn bright red. "Darling~!" she says softly, barely above a whisper yet still conveying her surprise. Then she giggles as Veronica finally eats the offered bite, and when she's offered a bit in return she makes a cute, "Homf!" noise as she chomps it. With an affectionate smile, she leans against her kitten as she chews. Only after swallowing does she comment further.

"You are such a darling. I'm so lucky to have found someone so sweet." She points her skewer up into the air for a moment and then says, "Oh. Come to think of it, I haven't had it for a while either. Not since the last time I came here, really. Let's see, how long ago was that?"

Laisa tries to think back to that time. It was such a while ago.
Veronica Perenna Slowly, Veronica considers the suggestion taking her own feelings on the matter and starting to chew on it a few, taking in the mix of savory meat and roasted greens. She stops with a smile when she notices the blush pop up on Laisa's face in the occasion of her question. "Oh? What are you thinking about?", she asks brightly, her eyes exuding interest.

She gets to be the witness of Laisa's blush really light up, and that surprised explanation equally eggs her on, and urges her to give her girlfriend a bit of a break. "Sorry, sorry", she starts apologising with a winking eye.

"Guess my mind wasn't quite decided on which treat to after. I will be sure to tell you first next I try something like that", she promises, measuring each word with a delicate cadence, and giving the next time a bit of a stronger emphasis.

She loses herself in the sight of her girlfriend when Laisa completes the trade with her own, completely distracted by the cute "Homf!" that she finds herself stop just in time for Laisa to lean against her, and the brunette smiles with a skip of her heartbeat. "You must really want to make me so happy", she speaks warmly, stopping there for the moment.

The brunette starts going down memory lane as her snowsweet likewise ponders. "It was a long time ago for me too, in fact the only time I ever visited Japan before I became a magical girl. I must have been six then, and my parents brought me here, but it didn't take me long to wriggle out of their grasp back then too, much to their chagrin", she smiles proudly.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa blushes a little bit more intensely as Veronica correctly identifies the fact that she was daydreaming and asks about it. "A-ah... just... thinking of running a food stall..." She hesitates before clarifying, "... with you. Not that we need the money or anything, just... I thought it'd be cute for us to accomplish on something as a couple. Like a teamwork thing."

Really no point in not sharing that one. Even if it never ends up happening, it gives her kitten a bit more insight on how she thinks.

Laisa's soft, easy smile conveys that it was really no big deal. "Oh, sweetie. I don't mind being surprised once in a while... but, if I'm a treat, then is that why you treat me so well?"

"Oh, I do want to make you happy," says Laisa, getting a little bit closer to plant a kiss on Veronica's cheek. "Bringing joy to your life is my favorite thing to do, and I intend to get very good at it~!" After eating and chomping down a bit of leek from her own skewer, she comments with a wink, "Of course, mastering such an art takes constant practice."

As Laisa recounts her personal history, she says, "Oh, I think I was about that age. Or... no, maybe actually I was seven. I was still an obedient golden child back then, naturally, but my parents gave me a little freedom because they weren't that worried about me running away. I must have seemed so different back then."

With a thoughtful frown, she adds, "I remember looking off into that wooded area over there. I forget why."
Veronica Perenna Veronica's eyes open wide when Laisa shares her daydreamz and the surprise melts into adoration. She hadn't caught onto that idea, and yet, here Laisa was having it, something completely adorable and dear. "Everytime you just can't help but do something that reminds me why I started calling you snowsweet. You really are sweet, Laisa", she reaches for her lips, giving her another kiss, with ample time to see it coming this time.

"There you have it, why I treat you so well, because there is nobody more beautiful, sweet or kind and you, and I really want to keep giving you all you deserve. If you think you don't deserve it, you may try to give the heart you stole back."

She takes a few steps away from Laisa, standing in front like a challenge, her food still balanced on her right hand. "But I won't make it easy on you. I perfectly like it where it is", she replies with eyes shining full of sincerity and love, just about a smirk.

"I am so happy you have those thoughts about us, and some so adorable really. I can see us working hard to keep up with the clients, occasionally exchanging a glance of complicity or brushing close, and when we get a break, maybe a quick kiss", she shares her own perspective on that daydream.

Her admiring tone gives way to surprise with a "Huh...!", as Laisa shares her experience, and the brunette's eyes shift to the wooded area she indicated. "Despite my running off, I was still obeying ''most'' of what I saw as my parents' weird rules, but... I think I had visited exactly that place."

She bites her lips, hand moving to rest on her cheek as she thinks. If she tries to imagine Laisa as about that age... Yeah, it does fit. "Were you maybe interrupted by a kid with a crown braid, same blue eyes and brown hair as me?" It can't be, can it?
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa sees the next kiss coming, and time seems to slow down as Veronica draws closer. Anticipation only makes it all the more intense when their lips actually do meet, and Laisa closes her eyes to focus on the feeling of the moment. When their lips part again, her red eyes open, staring deeply into Veronica's for a moment.

Veronica's following words make her blush a little bit deeper, and for a moment Laisa thinks to herself: Wow, I really am in love with this girl. "Oh, I'm not giving it back~. Whether or not I deserve it, I stole it and it's mine now~." Smiling at Veronica as she stands apart from her for a moment, she says, "Your heart is far too precious for me to part with, my dear kitten." Winking at her darling, she adds, "If that seems unfair, remember that you have mine as well."

Thinking about what it would be like to run a stall like that, Laisa gets a bit wistful. It... would actually be nice, wouldn't it? "It almost seems like an alternate version of us, or... well... maybe we could try something like that for the school festival."

Thinking on way back when, Laisa considers the memory. "A kid with a crown braid? Huh... maybe." What was she even doing? Did she hear a noise in the brush or something? No, she couldn't possibly remember now. It's too far back. "I remember I was wearing a black kimono back then, with a more fiery pattern to represent my clan, but my hair was still purple. That..." with a somewhat bewildered smirk, Laisa asks, "That... wasn't you, was it?"
Veronica Perenna Beneath that kiss, Veronica is smiling, taking in the warmth and softness of Laisa's lips. It was supposed to be something to share Veronica's affection with Laisa, and yet here they are, treating it just as much of a prize for herself too. That'd be too difficult, admittedly.

Their presence at the festival, stands and location, gets Veronica's focus. "That would be an interesting coincidence", the braided girl considers to herself. There is always the possibility that things are blurring together, and it's hard to make sure of things, but she is pretty sure it's not a mistake or a coincidence.

"I am totally open to that agreement", she shares at Laisa's 'proposal' with lips curved upwards. After all, it's true that neither of them can or wants to back down, and they feelings would have very strong arguments on the matter. The decision is sealed by Veronica stepping closer and taking Laisa in for a hug, taking care about not ruining the food. And certainly not staining her kimono.

"I think it may have been", Veronica replies with a quivering smile at the coincidence. "My parents had chosen a green yukata for me that day, and I remember a kimono just like the one you are describing. "You know how I am. A kid about my age alone in the wood with a pensive look? There was something going on, and I ''had'' to know."
Laisa Samuiko     Veronica is most certainly a prize in Laisa's eyes. A girl so charming and sweet, as pretty as she wants to be and cute even when she's not using disguise magic. The snow angel counts herself lucky to have found her single.

When her favorite painter goes in for a hug, Laisa arranges the food on her plate and holds it to the side to avoid any mishaps. Fortunately there's a bit less food on it now that they've had a chance to eat from it. When she gets to embrace Veronica again, she gives her a small peck on the lips and looks into her eyes for a moment. "Then we have an accord~. Sealed with a kiss~," she coos with a bit of a teasing tone.

It's only after the fact that she realizes her lips probably taste a little like yakitori. Granted, this probably isn't a bad thing, because the food is actually delicious.

"It may not be that much of a coincidence. Both of our families are pretty rich, and they might have run in the same circles back then. Maybe they were here for a common reason and we got dragged along? I couldn't possibly tell you what that reason was, though." Also, Laisa has to admit to herself, that too is just supposition. It makes sense, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's correct.

Thinking back to that moment when... well, when they probably first met, Laisa considers, "I remember hearing something in the bushes, but I never found anything. Then you came up and... I don't remember if you said anything after that, but I think I offered you a bit of my dango."

Her mouth twists into an unsure frown. "I'm not sure I remembered to properly introduce myself back then."
Veronica Perenna Though Veronica is more than adept at prettying herself up without magic and just about all of her look today is something she worked on herself, she helped herself out a little bit on a single account with magic: her hair, which was nowhere near long enough to form the long braid she is sporting now. But Laisa is possibly expecting that, because it would otherwise be an unexplained impossibility.

Her own lips taste like Yakitori too. It's ''fine'', and Veronica gives no sign of minding it. She is into this kiss as any other one, gently pressing her own lips on Laisa's and hugging her softly even with that voluminous bow, before pulling back when they break it up. At least until the next one.

"I could see that happening", Veronica agrees with a smile. "It's just what they would do, even if they certainly didn't talk about their more secret affairs to me. Guess we really were destined to meet though", she tilts her head aside with a pleased gleam.

They really were a fan of mixing business decision with festive occasions for some reason, though that usually came into the form of galas. Though, for once, she didn't mind coming to the festival: it was a lot less boring than any stuffy ceremony they had back home, with all of those games and food.

And Laisa herself, apparently, now that they are finding each other all over again, an idea that makes Veronica squeeze her beloved's hand with affection. "I probably did, but it was so long ago it's not a mystery we don't remember." She hums curious at the mention of a noise in the bushes. "I don't think I heard something, but it may have been a squirrel."

Though, thinking about games, makes the brunette look at her own plate, then at Laisa's. "Wanna leave these for later? We have a lot of fun ahead of us still, my snowsweet artist."
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa thinks to tease Veronica a bit as they pull away from the hug, but she can't really tease ''too'' much when both of them are carrying food, so she thinks better of it. Besides, she's fairly confident that they'll have plenty of opportunities to hold each other during the festival.

"Destined to meet? Maybe so. It'd be the first time that destiny was being so nice to me, but I'll take it." After saying that, she reconsiders. "Well, that's not true. Actually a lot of things have worked out in my favor, even if they were a bit rough in the moment."

As a child, Laisa would've also enjoyed the festival back then, though now she's enjoying it for very different reasons, and with very different company. It's hard for her to say, though. How many of her thoughts from back then were actually... hers? How much of her feelings?

Probably best not to dwell on that too much. The melodious voice of her sweet beloved is saying something, and because Laisa is madly in love she cannot help but consider those words to be the most important thing in the world right now. "A squirrel? Maybe. Whatever it was, I doubt it's still there now."

Games are being mentioned, and Laisa looks down at her food for a moment. "Yeah, I think we should. I'd love to play some games with you, my beloved kitten."

With a bit of blush on her cheeks, Laisa mentions, "By the way, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I really do like it when you call me 'snowsweet'. It... tickles a bit whenever you say it."
Veronica Perenna Veronica takes the plate from Laisa's hand unless she prefers setting it aside herself and slides her skewers into her own plate, putting them into their own special house to retrieve later. "There, out of sight, out of mind!", she grins confidently, then taking Laisa's hand freely, enjoying the liberty of finally doing that with nothing in the way. "Much better like this right?", she asks her.

When the sculptor alludes to her past misfortune, Veronica squeezes her hand and gives her a peck on the cheek. "Even if they were rough, they are gone now, and eventually our paths crossed. I am very happy about that." How could she think otherwise? It's her special person she is talking with, and one that feels the same way as her.

If the cap of dark thoughts persists through the festival, there will be plenty of time for the two of them to talk about it. Meanwhile with a snap of her fingers, a few jasmines appear in Veronica's hand from their hiding place in her sleeves, and the purple flowers are then offered to Laisa. "A small token of my affection. They are your colour, and their fragrance is almost as nice and relaxing as you are."

The subject changes to nicknames and Veronica blushes happily. "Does it? I am glad it does, because I feel like that describes you perfectly. And I enjoy how you make mine sound. It's so fluffy and and endearing."

In the distance, little paper fans painted with cherry blossoms, wooden masks shaped like grinning tanuki, miniature daruma dolls with bright red bodies, tiny bells, painted ceramic foxes and more beckon from the ring tossing game, waiting to be won. "What do you say we see how that goes?", Veronica eagerly points in its direction.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa watches how Veronica deals with the plates and then claps for a moment before immediately going back to holding her darling's hand. "So much better~," she coos. Good food is nice, but holding hands is nicer.

"It's true, and I'm glad they did. You are the bright spot in my life, and I look forward to every time we meet." Of course, she says these things, and she knows on some level they may feel flattering, but she's just being sincere and she believes in that sincerity. This is just how she feels about her little kitten.

A pair of jasmine flowers are presented to her, and Laisa covers her mouth for a moment. "For me?" Oh, but of course they are, and it's so sweet. Fortunately the sculptor has a fairly good idea of where to put them. With a bit of arrangement, she pushes the stem into the twists of each of her braids, securing them so that each side of her hair now has a flower. "Ah, now I go along with the flowers in your hair."

With a soft smile, Laisa moves a little closer to Veronica and says, "I'm glad you find me relaxing, dear. I do try to be cozy and soothing."

The topic of nicknames makes Laisa giggle softly, because knowing she has that effect on Veronica feels really nice. "Well, you ''are'' very fluffy, and very dear to me. In fact there's so much about you that I find endearing. You're so wonderful in every way."

As they get closer to the ring game, Laisa considers it for a moment before confessing, "You know, I never was very good at these things. Let's see how I do." She purchases a set of rings to throw, gives Veronica a kiss, and then releases her hand to start trying to toss the rings over the targets.

Her first throw is a bit off. Her second throw is a bit better. Her third throw goes... wildly awry. "Eheh... I guess nothing has changed." She still has few more rings left, but she offers some to Veronica to ask, "Would you like to try?"
Veronica Perenna "You really do", Veronica lilts, caressing a safe part of her hair that avoids ruining all the work she put into it. Perhaps she should consider some different colour next time, if Laisa wants to use them as hair decoration, but she is glad her love appreciates them that much. And they still look quite nice, standing out from the hair thanks to the green of stalk and leaves.

Veronica approaches the stand with light steps and a cheerful hearts when Laisa calls her her bright spot in that delightful lyrical timbre she has the brunette would be willing to listen to nonstop. "You do that greatly", Veronica commends her efforts sincerely, leaning close to the purple-haired girl with cheerful laughter.

"Thank you, you saying that means a lot to me", she caresses her cheek. "Though, do you mean fluffy metaphorically or is this with regards to my Sarek form?", the brunette asks amused.

"It will go better next time", Veronica takes the rings Laisa is offering her with a small bow and a flourish, then bites her tongue in concentration when she goes through with her attempts.

The first ring doesn't really land right, but the other 2 doz and she gets given a small ceramic statuette of a fox, and she shows it to Laisa. "Do you like it?", she smiles.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa's smile changes shape a few times as they converse, between soft, amused and loving, but the smile never really goes away.

"Ah, well, it's a bit of both I suppose," answers Laisa with a wink. "I mean, calling you kitten is a reference to your henshin of course, but also you are soft and sweet and huggable. So you're 'fluffy' in that way, too." Then the ice sculptor leans in to demonstrate with a brief, squeezy hug.

Veronica encourages her, and Laisa chuckles a little bit abashedly. "Well, it'd be hard for it to go much ''worse''." Then she watches as her darling manages to score a prize, and she leans closer to get a good look at it. "Ohh, that's so cute, actually! Ah, I should try again."

Laisa buys another set of rings, and starts tossing them. The first one is a somewhat lucky hit, and she gets a tan and black paper fan with red flowers printed on. The others are... close! Some of them are very close. She manages to almost get a big prize, but the ring bounces off the side and it's not ''quite'' enough to count.

"Eheh... Well..." Laisa opens her paper fan and starts fanning herself a bit. "I mean, it's cute, but not quite my colors. I don't know, what do you think?"

Laisa uses the fan to cover the lower part of her face, letting her red eyes peek over the top while she gives Veronica a flirtatious look. After she winks, she closes the fan and considers it for a moment. "It may be more in your colors than mine, actually."
Veronica Perenna Veronica laughs softly, eyes brightening at Laisa?s explanation, even more so at her demonstration. "Can I say I love all the hugs that gets me?" she teases honestly, stepping forward to wrap in turn Laisa in the gentle hug the purple-haired girl is offering her, adding a quick nuzzle on the cheek.

Once they separate, Veronica watches Laisa fan herself for a few seconds, and glances to meet that mischievous, red-eyed gaze peeking over the top. Laisa flirting wins Veronica over even more, and her expression softens into a look of affectionate amusement. "I think the red and black suit you just fine", she murmurs softly, "but maybe it needs a bit of Veronica-powered flair."

The brunette reaches out slowly, gently brushing the fan, moving her fingers up and up the fabric, until she brushes against the red-eyed girl's red lips. "May I?", she retreats to close her hand over Laisa's. If the fan is passed over, Veronica unfolds it with a graceful flick and fans her gently. "For the radiant queen of the ring toss", she declares with a grin in her voice, "whose elegance cannot be dimmed by bouncing rings."

She lets the fan slow and steps to Laisa?s side, handing it back with a little bow of her head. Then she glances toward the next game stand, where wind chimes are spinning lazily in the breeze above goldfish making quick work of paper nets. "Do you want to try the next attraction?"
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa giggles as Veronica hugs her back, and nuzzles her blushing cheek back against her kitten's. "My darling, if you love hugs, then you know exactly where to get them~," flirts Laisa, before pulling away.

At the mention of a 'Veronica-powered' flair, Laisa gives her kitten a curious look. Her heart stops for a moment as her lips are brushed against, and in that moment it's very easy to get Laisa to hand the fan over. Then her darling starts fanning her and Laisa blinks, and then giggles, covering her mouth with both hands. "Oh, sweetie," is all she can say as Veronica flatters her, feeling a bit overwhelmed in the moment.

The snow angel takes the fan back, and keeps it closed for now. When her attention is directed towards the next game, Laisa clasps her hands together and says, "Oh, I'd love to!"

Laisa wears a soft, dreamy smile as she starts heading towards the goldfish. She occasionally glances towards Veronica because, really, nothing holds Laisa's attention like her girlfriend does.

Winning or losing these games doesn't matter so much, as long as she gets to enjoy her beloved's company.
Veronica Perenna Veronica gazes lovingly towards Laisa at her flirting with hugs, her breath briefly stopping with her playful words, her attention more on her beloved than on where they are going. It is only the the fact that Laisa's walk helps steer her in the right direction that helps her avoid stumbling on unseen obstacles. Such as the path's border not too far from her left. "You can really say I am all fluffy now, how could I not be when you are so captivating?", she smiles happily, a vivid red blush crowning her joy.

Veronica is all for enjoying time with the holder of her heart, but she has a different way to consider how to lighten up the atmosphere of the games. They say whoever catches the most goldfish earns a little reward. Little is known about what kind of reward that could be", she smirks playfully, giving the shopkeeper their due and handing a net and a cup over to Laisa, then taking her own.

The pool in front of them is calm right now: enough people have tried their hands, that the coming and going has slowed down to a crawl, and only Veronica and Laisa are about to give the game a try. The fish have gotten placid as a result, though the more perceptive have gotten alert at the two girls not too far from them.

Watching the fresh water right in front of them, Veronica can't help, but slightly submerge her hard when the shopkeeper is turned away. Maybe she should have tried that fan herself? "Either this heat is getting to me, or I think your beauty is making me a bit lightheaded", she smiles conspiratorially to her girlfriend.
Laisa Samuiko     "Oh?" coos Laisa. "Are my affections making you feel fluffy headed? Well, it's only fair. You have the same effect on me." She then brushes her shoulder against Veronica's for a moment while walking, wrapping her arm around her darling's so that the two of them can stay close.

When they get closer to the goldfish game, Laisa starts settling in. "Oh? A little reward? What could that be?" she asks, suddenly interested. Is this a reward that would come from her girlfriend, perhaps? Or, if Veronica wins, from Laisa? If it's that kind of thing, then it feels like a win/win really.

Taking the net and cup, Laisa kneels before the fish tank and watches over them. At first the fish seem calm, but she notices them start to get a bit more lively as her paper net hovers near them.

Her red eyes to go her beloved's hand in the water, and then up to her darling's eyes. "If you need to, we can always take a break. I'll enjoy your company no matter what we're doing."

Laisa leans against Veronica again for a moment, but then looks down at the water. She observes the behavior of the fish, noticing which ones are antsy and which are slow. Targeting the less lively ones first, she scoops the first one up and quickly drops it... back into the water. Oops! Well, at least the paper didn't rip.

Then she tries scooping the second one, and successfully places it in the cup. "Got one!" she cheers. Then another goes in, and she gets more confident, but the one after that gets away from her.

"Eheh," she giggles a bit sheepishly, and looks over at Veronica. "They're pretty nimble when they want to be." She looks at her paper net and notices that it still isn't ripped yet, so after regaining her focus she tries again. After a moment or two of this, she starts to get a bit more comfortable. Being so close to her beautiful girlfriend is doing a lot to relax her.

After successfully catching her fourth fish, Laisa looks over to Veronica and smiles softly. Leaning a bit closer, she whispers, "You're still the best catch here."
Veronica Perenna Veronica is all too happy to feel Laisa's arm wrapped around her, the softness of the fabric just a layer over Laisa's own softness and warmth, and she loses no time leaning close to her, walking ahead with a wide smile on her face, her arm folded to touch Laisa's hand that is touching her shoulder with a delicate caress.

Veronica doesn't reply to Laisa's question, about the reward, only leaving her an enigmatic smile, though, really she ''is'' in fact aiming for a win/win scenario, a way to play around knowing that she is staking something both of them want. In her modest opinion, the perfect idea to leave a sweet promise waiting for them~

But her attention is now onto the game, the cup on her left hand and the net on her right, her eyes darting around following the still calm movements of the fish swimming below her, her hand inching closer and closer, almost as if hypnotized by the task ahead of her, if not for a few glances headed Laisa's way, watching her victories and gently brushing against her with each one.

Apart from those moments, her eyes are focused on the game with the most serious demeanour, and she follows each one without rushing her in, until her first occasion presents itself, a fish making a slower turn. And her net sinks in, for a moment holding the catch inside, but before Veronica can bring it into the cap, the goldfish leaps down, darting far and away from the brunette.

Veronica?s gaze locks onto the swaying fins as the goldfish makes a languid circle, her breath slowing in time with its movement. She lowers her net with trembling precision, the mesh dipping into the water like a whispered promise. For a heartbeat, scales glint in the lamplight as the fish flutters inside?but then, with a sudden flick of its tail, it slips free and darts away, leaving Veronica blinking at the rippling surface.

Undeterred, she steadies her shoulders and watches the next fish glide toward the bowl?s edge. The world seems to shrink down to the gentle ripple beneath her net as she tips it forward, sinking in just enough. The goldfish quivers against the mesh, but is unable to escape, quickly lowered into her cup. Veronica exhales, lips parting in a victorious sigh, but her eyes are already onto the next shimmering target. "They really are", she agrees quietly with Laisa, brushing her arm against her girlfriend's smiling.

The brunette steadies her net higher, tracking a solitary fish hesitating near the center. A quiet thrill courses through her as she lets the net descend in slow motion, water barely parting around it. In a second, the fish is captured, its golden flank pressed against the paper, before Veronica lifts the net out. The little swimmer settles into the cup, and Veronica lets out a joyous laugh, her focus melting into elation as she peers down at her prize.

"Oh!", she exclaims with wide eyes, smiling a bit bashfully. "It was really nothing like that", her blue eyes peers into her red ones. "I really just wanted to compliment you. I am glad of being your best catch", she tries to recover from her mistake. "You made and make it really special."
Laisa Samuiko     The unspoken reward remains in the back of Laisa's mind, and she gets a little bit blushy ever time Veronica brushes up next to her as a result. It's a good thing that this game can be played at her own pace, because Laisa could very easily be distracted by the wonderful person playing next to her.

If the snow angel gives it her best guess, it's probably a kiss, a hug or some other token of affection, but that doesn't stop her from anticipating it. Veronica has proven to be pretty good at spoiling her, after all.

While Laisa watches for opportunities, she also glances Veronica's way and is captivated for a moment by her beloved's delicate efforts. She stays silent, not wanting to break her kitten's concentration, but in her heart she is cheering for her.

    Yeesh. These fish are slippery.

When Veronica does manage to catch her first, Laisa leans against her for a moment in celebration, smiling at her darling. When Veronica reassures her, the snow angel feels maybe a bit embarrassed. "Ah! Sorry, I wasn't sure. Though to be honest, you make me a bit lightheaded too, sometimes. I always feel so blissful in your company~." She says this as a flirt, though it's also an earnest statement, because Veronica is very dear to her.

Soon after she goes back to her own efforts, focusing on trying to catch another fish. She's a little more eager this time, which probably is unwise. Attempting to catch one of the livelier fish, she gently places the scoop behind it and the cup in front. When the net touches the fish, it flops away, and as Laisa tries to catch it she flips it into the air for a moment, and...

    Rip.

Laisa looks at her paper net that now has a hole in it. It's not dead center, so the net is still technically useable still, but now she's at a disadvantage. "Well. That'll teach me to be greedy," she says, jokingly. Yes it's a failure, but these nets always break eventually, so she's taking it in good humor.

She takes in a deep breath, and lets it out, trying to recenter herself before her next attempt. This time she dips the net into the water and lets it rest, applying no motion to it and waiting for one of the fish to get close. Eventually one of the slower ones manages to meander by and she gently scoops it with the good part of the net before dipping it into the cup.

Laisa glances over to Veronica for a moment, leans in slowly, and then gives her cheek a small peck before going back to her game.
Veronica Perenna The celebration Laisa gives her makes Veronica glow happily each time she receives it. Her mind for a second turns to her cat speech wondering what she would have done had it been with fishes instead. A small part of her is not sure the brunette would be above using it to strike a deal with the fish so as to maximize the amount of celebrations she gest from Laisa, but the rest forbids it. She after all know that there is no need to ruin such a beautiful moment between them when she could spend it enjoying Laisa's closeness.

And a kiss is ultimately given to her. Of course a kiss was the prize she had in mind, and she doesn't mind have a prelude of it, before they actually finish this game. The brunette lingers in the glow of Laisa?s kiss, her cheek tingling where those soft lips had just touched them. Her fingers pause mid-adjustment on her net, and for a few seconds, she just watches her girlfriend with wonder, as if seeing her through a dream, while her heart hums with affection, wrapped up in that tender moment. It takes the glimmer of a darting fin to pull her back down to earth, to the shallow basin in front of her.

The fish is quick, too quick. The moment she tips her wrist forward, it spins and slides away, vanishing beneath the many Others that hadn't yet thought of moving downwards. Veronica shakes out the net slowly of water droplets and tries again. Her next target is a round-bellied goldfish with lazy fins, drifting with the sort of ease that feels almost deliberate. The painter holds her breath, waiting, waiting for it to reach more compromising position, then moves. The net curls beneath the water and cups around the fish. She lifts. Scales glisten in the mesh, and she delicately tilts it into the cap nearby. She only allows herself a small smile, not losing her focus.

For the next attempt, she targets a pair swimming near each other, certainly dangerous, but tempting. She places the net below them, hoping to do the impossible and at least get one of them, though her gaze aims towards getting both. How however darts to the left and the other flutters straight ahead, ruining her attempt.

Her final attempt in this round is more cautious. She waits until the basin stills, then locks onto a pale fish moving once more near the edge. It brushes close to the wall, then begins to arc inward, right into her reach. In a hurry, she lets the paper sinks lower than usual, nearly touching the basin?s floor, and it is then the paper breaks, not even close to getting her catch. "This is your win then", Veronica places cup and useless net aside, and touches her beloved's cheeks with gentle fingers. "Ready for your prize?", she whispers, and at sign of assent, she brings her lips close, pressing them against Laisa with the background symphony of Veronica's heart.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa's own game slows for a moment as she watches her beloved's efforts. It's cute, really, to watch how she works, see how she thinks. Her strategies and attempts, successes and failures.

A part of Laisa, admittedly, wondered just how effective a catgirl (or at least, someone who henshins into a catgirl) would be at catching fish. Would that kind of skill carry over? Admittedly, she doesn't spend too much time thinking about that because her girlfriend is mind numbingly pretty.

While staring, the snow angel gets lost in admiration of just how cute Veronica is. Her heart flutters the more she watches her, and her net dips carelessly into the water without her realizing. Before she notices, it's already torn all the way through.

Well. Both nets ripped. That ends their game. Laisa turns out to have the high score between them and Veronica is moving in to reward her.

The goth girl places her cup and net safely off to the side, and she draws closer to her girlfriend as her cheeks are touched. "For you? Always."

There's a light warmth in her cheeks, because it's not just the kiss itself but also the very romantic and sweet way that Veronica is going about it. She can hear her own heart beating as her eyes go half-lidded. Moving closer, she brushes her lips against her darling's, letting them linger for a moment as she stares into Veronica's eyes. Her own hand reaches up to cup one of her darling's cheeks, and her fingers trace along her jawline for a moment.

When their lips break, Laisa whispers to Veronica, "Hehehe, you give best prizes in all the festival, my precious little darling."

Laisa leans a little closer to give Veronica a hug for a moment, before sitting back upright. "You can really treat a lady well, you know."
Veronica Perenna Veronica really doesn't have much experience in cat things. Mostly, her brief stint as a cat due to the curse, and thankfully she has never had to hunt for herself. She is not sure she would have been able to stomach it. Good thing there were others ready to help her go through it. They definitely made it a lot more manageable than it would have otherwise been. And she has been able to add giving Petz nasty cuts to her repertoire in exchange, though it hardly mattered now that she was not around anymore.

Being called "he cute one"by the younger Petz after that was certainly an experience.

But that is neither here not there, and Veronica is focusing on how much happier she is here at the festival with Laisa, rather than thinking about some (half-?) dead woman coming back to life as a girl and flirting with her. She is still cupping Laisa's cheeks, though she has stopped that brief kiss now, giving one last glance into Laisa's crimson eyes.

Laisa?s teasing look is returned by a smile with a smile that glimmers with mischief and quiet adoration, her hand lingering over Laisa?s cheek for just a second longer, enjoying the warmth of her cheeks under Veronica's hands, the flutter in her chest feels loud enough to ripple the water in the cups they set aside, overflowing with all the love Laisa feel for Veronica and way more. With that hug, Veronica is quick to reply and understand what is going on, and joyously returning that hug.

"Well, with how precious you are you give a lot of inspiration", Veronica remarks, keeping the hug going. "We might just step aside to stay a bit more with this hug, what do you think?", she whispers into Laisa's ear.
Laisa Samuiko     While Laisa might agree with Petz on Veronica being "the cute one", that's likely the only thing she'd agree with her on, and the snow angel most certainly doesn't miss the creepy lightning lady. Fortunately she was lucky enough to stay out of all that, though she certainly heard the broad strokes of it through word of mouth.

Veronica wants to keep the hug going, and Laisa most certainly wont ''argue''. In her sweetheart's arms is her favorite place to be. At the suggestion that they keep hugging elsewhere, the goth girl blushes. "Well, naturally, I'd really like that," she whispers back. She squeezes her girlfriend a bit more closely before pulling back slightly to look into her eyes.

Laisa softly smiles at Veronica before glancing at their cups. "Well, I don't know about you, but I don't really have a place to keep goldfish, so unless you want to keep these..."

Unless Veronica objects or says she wants the fish, Laisa pours her cup back into the pool. If they ''do'' want to keep the fish, she'll ask for a bag or something.

Either way, she then stands up and offers her girlfriend her hand to hold. "Where should we go then? Someplace where we can watch the fireworks? A nice bench, or something similar?"

With stars and hearts in her eyes, the snow angel says, "Because if there's one thing I know I'll ''never'' do, it's turn down a chance to hold you, my beloved kitten."
Veronica Perenna Veronica pulls back slightly too, so they can look at each other comfortably, and when her girlfriend moves to pour the fish back, Veronica copies her, watching them fall into the shopkeeper's care. "I don't have much of a place either. If I introduced fishes now, it would take a long while for me to teach Emery not to go after them", she comments nonchalantly, leaving behind the now empty cup too. "They wouldn't have a very happy time", she considers.

And in a second, her thoughts are back to find a place to be with Laisa, and the brunette looks at her girlfriend adoringly, and she decisively takes the hand offered to her, squeezing it lightly with all the affection she can transmit.

"A nice bench should be good. Somewhere we can be just the two of us, and enjoying the moment under the fireworks", she walks with an excited step. It is really evident she can't wait to cuddle together under the romantic impact of the fireworks.

There is a bench nearby, and Veronica walks to it with a bright smile. "We are just in time! I don't think the fireworks should wait much longer", she exclaims, sitting down, waiting for Laisa to do the same.
Laisa Samuiko     In Laisa's dorm they might get frozen. In Veronica's, possibly eaten. Neither of these are good fates for goldfish. Perhaps this way they can find a better home, or stay in the shopkeeper's care.

As for these two girlfriends, Laisa is heading for exactly the kind of place where she wants to be, hand in hand with Veronica just as things should be. Her pace quickens as her girlfriend walks with her, both of them eager to enjoy the next part of their date.

As Laisa settles in next to Veronica, she leans against her and puts one arm around her back. She rests her head against her taller girlfriend's shoulder and looks up at the sky while getting comfortable. Her other arm wraps around her kitten's waist, and she pulls herself closer. With a happy sigh she says, "Thank you. I'm having a wonderful time."

Truly, coming out to this mountain festival was the best choice they could have possibly made.

Laisa's girlfriend really is so warm and soft. It's hard not to be relaxed and comfortable when she's all cuddled up like this.
Veronica Perenna Veronica excitedly pulls Laisa close now that two of them are finally sitting in a perfect spot, and the brunette is humming happily squeezing her a bit while Veronica turns her upper body towards Laisa, and gives her a peck on the cheek, just before her shoulder becomes the resting place for her love's face.

A gesture that makes her heart thump loudly, keeping up a sustained rhythm, just faster, and her face is similarly expressive, a blush colouring it from cheek to cheek, leaving the brunette's joyful smile surrounded.

"I am having a wonderful smile too, but that's hardly a surprise when you are involved", Veronica replies, looking sweetly at how peaceful Laisa looks on her shoulder. She would hardly want to bother her.

Instead, she squeezes Laisa closer with one hand, while her other retrieves Laisa's own and brings it to her lips for a kiss.
Laisa Samuiko     The peck on Laisa's cheek deepens her blush a little more, and she sighs softly for a moment while getting used to the closeness. She turns her upper body a bit more towards Veronica too, just to get a little bit closer. Close enough that she really does hear her darling's heartbeat, and her own heart starts speaking its own mind on the matter as well.

Looking up at Veronica's cheeks, Laisa giggles, and then coos affectionately at her sweet words. "I feel the same way. Being with you is bliss. I love you so much."

Her hand is taken, and then kissed by the only person who has any business doing that. The snow angel giggles and then shifts so that she can plant a kiss on Veronica's blushing cheek. Then she nuzzles her nose against her kitten's and whispers, "You really are the best."

The first of the fireworks start to go off, and Laisa admires the way the flashes of light play across Veronica's features. If she looks closely she can even see the reflection of starbursts in her beloved's eyes.
Veronica Perenna The first firework explodes in a shower of a shower of brilliant golden light, but the beauty of the fireworks is only a secondary concern at best when there is a very special girl looking at her so lovingly. "You make me so happy too, I wouldn't trade this moment for anything else", she lilts with a timbre that's like a crystalline bell.

"Except more moments with you", she grins all of a sudden, but her eyes remain unchanged, an expression of love so strong that it wouldn't be a surprise if they became literal hearts.

The brunette laughs with joy while more and more fireworks go off, and the rapid succession of changing colours lights up their world enough that she feels like they are in the center of this light spectacle.

And she nuzzles too, nose against nose, just mere seconds before before, she seeks the warmth of Laisa's lips with her own, and she etches this memory into her mind.
