Hinoiri Kirara The three of them had made it across to the other side of the mirror, and now? Now Hinoiri was standing by the entrance of the storage room, occasionally glancing over back and then out, to make sure nobody came and letting the other two, well... do what they needed to do. Because now?

Now came the most important part of this entire experience whenever someone new came over here.

Learn how to walk and get used to their brand new bodies. Not exactly the uhhhh... easiest experience in the world, admittedly, but it could take a bit. Well, and make sure they didn't like... trip and demolish anything too badly.

Also, the existential crisis of suddenly having four legs, not two.
Chiyo Sakai "I just want to say," Chiyo begins from her spot where she was currently partially on the floor. Partially because her rear end was up in the air as she got the hang of the 'rear legs', but the front were sprawled and her head had dropped forward closer to the ground. She did not look happy. "That I really, really wish someone had *WARNED ME* we'd be turning into *HORSES* when we came across!"

Sure she had heard Hinoiri mention unicorns before--She apparently got very testy if you called an alicorn the wrong name or something--but they weren't close enough that she'd ever had it explained to her that the world that Hinoiri came from was *ponyland* of all places.

A forehoof plants on the ground to push herself up wobbly to her feet like a new foal still working out how gravity works. Muttering to herself she shakes her head a single time to toss the long mane of drill curls she had now. "Maybe if I think of it like ... crawling on all fours." One foot, then another, then another, and the last. Maybe that would work even if she was a bit slow.
Setsuna Meiou As the saying goes, Setsuna Meiou has lived a LONG life...and she's seen a few things...

...but having her body altered to that of a hooved quadraped most certainly is NOT one of them.

By the same token, however, her reactions to the new body are probably slightly different than what most others have displayed in the past, as she spends almost no time at all acclimatizing herself to walking on hooves (EXTREME amounts of esperience walking in heels help here).

Rather, her problem is the having of four legs and having to use all of them to move properly.

The practiced eye of someone who's made the transition several times can tell that the ONLY reason she hasn't joined her other formerly human companion on the floor is because she has only taken a very tiny number of slow, careful steps.

Casting a glance over at Chiyo, "...well, as far as the feet go, it might help to think of that part as walking en pointe or on tippy toes."

She then looks over at Hinoiri and comments, "And Hinoiri-san, thanks for being patient here...though I suppose you probably went through something similar in the other direction your first time through."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara couldn't help but snicker, just a tiny, itty bit. "I don't know what part of 'unicorn' you failed to understand, buuuut... yeah. Unicorn. All the 'buck' and 'prance' and stuff, too. Just wait until you meet the dragons and griffons. Actually, you likely won't meet any of them, but if you did, they'd be impressive," Hinoiri offered with a small smile. "And trust me, don't crawl. It'll hurt your legs. One hoof in front of the other."

She then glanced to Setsuna and nodded. "Ohhh yeah. Not even going to talk about my first week in human land. And first time I ate hay there? Ick, your bodies, NOT made for it. And your hay suuuuuucks," she said, making a bleh face. "All in all, it takes some time. Once you're able to walk properly, we'll sneak out. Keep your heads down, don't make much noise, and once we're off the castle grounds and out of sight of the guards, we'll be able to talk more freely and head off to get the goods. Take as long as you need, it can be a bit wild to get used to."
Chiyo Sakai Chiyo Sakai glowers slightly at Hinoiri only to mumble beneath her breath, "Some people use 'unicorn' to mean they like both guys *and* girls, you know." She'd seen the people that Hinoiri had been in a relationship with! It wasn't unheard of for her to make that assumption!

Although the rest she had to let out a sigh over. A puff of breath that sends her bangs bouncing away momentarily before resettling in a perfect little curl between her eyes. Darn odd vision too. "The rest... Yeah okay, I get it now. I just thought you were being weird and trying not to swear."

Then again. It was Hinoiri. She probably *was* swearing.

The newly minted Earth pony that was Chiyo focuses and tries to walk with tiny mincing little clip-clops. Back. And forth. And back. And forth. Tip toes. "This is so weird. What ingredients are we after any way?"
Setsuna Meiou For her part, Setsuna is a unicorn...and a noticably tall one.

Not 'Princess Sora' tall, granted, but noticably above the average if Chiyo and Hinoiri are any yardstick.

Color wise, she's mostly a dark brown with a green mane with her customary bun and tail and her mark is the combined capital PL symbol for Pluto.

After a few minutes of standing still, she slowly starts walking around...and she only manages to very nearly faceplant tripping over her own legs two or three times before she more or less gets the hang of where her limbs need to go, "...Hinoiri-san, when we get back, remind me to introduce you to alfalfa if you haven't tried it yet. Some people enjoy it as a salad of sorts."

Finally reasonably steady, she reaches out one hoof...and the Garnet Rod manifests itself there for a moment. Setsuna pauses, almost seeming to relax very slightly at making contact with it...then she dismisses it back once again, "I think we were mainly after flour and sugar for the cake."

A look is given back to their guide, "...what's used for money around here?"
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara blinked a few times before sighed. "What does having a horn have to do with being bi? You don't need a horn to like both! It just means you're not willing to pass up something when it's good," she said, rolling her eyes. "Humans are weird."

She cocked an eye at the garnet rod. "Careful with that. Magic... does not work the same over here. You don't know what'll happen if you try to use that here. It might do what you want... it might not. And bits, don't worry, I got them. And we're getting mostly just ingredients, all the things to fill our saddlebags. Speaking of..." She said, before her horn glowed and... Boop! They'd get saddlebags attached to their sides! "Huh... Alfalfa, huh? I'll need to try and give it a shot..." she mumbled. "Now, come on, let's go. Remember. Keep it down, keep your head down, and if I say run, run. And stay close."

Sneaking out was... interesting. Dodging guards, going through secret passages, dodging around nooks and crannies...

Before, finally, getting out of the castle through a secret revolving door into a slide(with a loopy-de-loop) and they were out. She shook her head once she skidded to a stop. "Ugh. I haven't used THAT one in ages. Right..." She said, heading towards the city proper. It was packed today. It looked like some kind of party was going on?

Balloons and stuff, lots of ponies talking all over, galloping about, and a... boutique seemed to be opening?
Chiyo Sakai "It's supposed to be because unicorns are rare and mythical in our world. Or something. I don't know, it's just the term," Chiyo responds simply with another shake of her head. Unlike these two, she didn't have a horn. Something she had to confirm by twisting her head from one side to the other and then just carefully balancing to lift a hoof to bump against her forehead. Huh. No magic for her it would seem. As for her cutey mark, it was colorful konpeito candy some of which appeared to be exploding like fireworks. Or sugar works? Hard to say. Clearly it was related to her own profession though, and while her Ojiisan was mochi-based in his work her own had spread out to explore all sorts of candy.

"Right, ingredients. I thought maybe we were going to get some kind of special fruit to make jam with, or something. I guess the ingredients here are supposed to be top notch?" Just as she was wondering this the saddlebags appear causing her to glance back with a sigh. "At least I can carry a lot still."

Off they went. By they time they got to the city proper she could at least move easier. Dodging, running, stopping, and all that was certainly a good way to learn how to move in various ways. The celebration causes her to glance around curiously with wide pink eyes.

"Something happening today?"
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna shakes her head, "...yeah, not going to try to use magic here. I can FEEL it different...but I've got a certain connection to the Garnet Rod...so just contact with it is..."

She pauses, then shrugs a little, "...something familiar. A 'touchstone' is the term for it, if I recall."

And then it's stealth adventure mode.

While sneaking through the castle, a glance over at Setsuna is going to show that somehow she's managed to get a kerchief tied around her head with the knot just below her nose...which, granted, on a pony looks a bit wierd.

By the time they're coming out of the loop-de-loop slide, however, it's gone and she's back to normal.

She stretches up slightly and squints a bit at the city and she asides to Chiyo, "...not sure? Some kind of celebration..."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara paused for a moment and thought about how many people she knew who liked both boys and girls... "Nope, gonna stick with humans are weird," she said. "But yeah, we are pretty mythical, at least. And amazing. You can praise us as much as you like," she said in a playful tone."

Once they were outside and walking through the crowds, she nodded. "Seems to be, some kind of event. If you two wanna get dresses or something, might be able to get a deal. Though... not... sure what you'd actually do with a pair of pony dresses... So maybe not actually useful. Heh. We'll start with supplies. Come along!" she said before galloping off!

Dodging, weaving towards the market until... an outdoor market? And oh... there were certainly... fruits there. Strange, weird fruits. Fruits that Chiyo likely had never even imagined, and certainly never seen before. But... could she *Bake them*?
