Veronica Perenna It had taken a while for things to return to a more normal pace after they were forced to go back home from Crystal Tokyo, only able to rescue Mamoru from his imprisonment on Nemesis, and despite that, they were forced to leave Chibiusa and Usagi in the claws of the Black Moon Clan.

After a week, however, with no clue for them to solve that particular dilemma, the usual daily rhythm had taken over, and Veronica and Laisa had decided to go on a date together. Their particular destination was originally meant as prelude to another date, but it was soon labeled as a date itself.

The two girlfriends met out on Campus, and after Veronica gave her an affectionate hug and a peck on the lips, they set out for their destination, a cozy shop in Mitakihara named Fairy Drop Fashion.

"Apparently they make everything by hand here", Veronica tells Laisa not too far from the shop's doors. "Maybe I will be able to pick up a trick or two", she says in a playful tone.
Laisa Samuiko     The whole mess in Crystal Tokyo was... not quite what Laisa expected. There were wins and there were losses. It's also a grim reminder of how bad things can get if they mess up and let the worst people win.

Yet after all of that, things have been quiet on the Black Moon front, and Laisa was very eager to pursue her relationship with Veronica. So of course when the time came for their shopping date, the purple haired girl was more than ready.

Going clothes shopping with her girlfriend honestly felt like such a cute thing to do. Something they could really enjoy together.

After sharing a nice hug and a sweet kiss with Veronica, Laisa was more than happy to take the trip. When they finally arrive at Fairy Drop Fashion, Laisa looks up at the storefront with a bit of curiosity. "You know... I'm kinda surprised I've never been here before. Hand made clothes..."

With a soft knowing smile, Laisa side eyes Veronica and says, "Well, you never know. You might find some good inspiration here. A new disguise maybe?"

Moving a little bit closer to her girlfriend, she tries to hook her arm around Veronica's and, if allowed to, walks into the store arm-in-arm with her.
Veronica Perenna Veronica is more than happy to lock arms with Laisa, and she shoots her a smile when they enter into the shop. "There's that too, but I picked up sewing after I found out embroidery and painting go well together."

That had been a surprise to her, but it had produced very satisfying results, at least after she found out a paint that worked well together with the different types of fabric. Which took a bit of trial and error on her part.

"It's my first time being here too", she nods with a small hop through the door. "Tokyo is ''so'' big, even with just our usual Wards. I don't think knowing even half of it is possible. At least no chances of ever getting bored."

When they come in, clothes of all types and assortments stretch before them: high-waisted skirts with heart buttons, knee-high socks with strawberry prints, black shorts with holographic zipper, chunky white sneakers, lace-trimmed camisole, mint crochet cardigans, plaid pleated skirt, blouses with Peter Pan collars and bows, midnight blue poofy dresses with silver star prints, heeled velvet boots, oversized pastel tees, patterned canvas sneakers and more.

Passing her free hand through a series of t-shirts in various shades of green, Veronica turns her head to Laisa with a smile on her lips. "Anything standing out to you? We are kinda spoiled for choice."
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa raises an eyebrow at Veronica. "Huh... I thought you might. Well, I mean, I remember the card you made for me." She thinks back to how it was weaved together out of strands of moonlight. She still has that card in her wallet, Laisa realizes. "I wasn't sure how much of that was the magic or your own talent, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised of the latter."

"You're right, though. Tokyo is huge, and there's so much to see. It sometimes feels like there's no end to it," she agrees.

Laisa's gaze falls over the various clothes and accessories in the shop. She considers the various options for a moment and also considers her own style for a bit.

Outside of school uniform, she tended to go for a punk goth look, but if she's being honest she was doing that specifically to annoy her relatives. She doesn't ''hate'' that look, but lately she's come to feel that adopting something to annoy someone else is still, on some level, allowing them to control you in some way.

"Well, I've actually been thinking of reconsidering my look lately. A lot of my wardrobe is kind of like..." She emotes with her hands as she explains. "... this black and red and purple kind of combination? Lately I've been considering looking for something that's... maybe a minty green or a deep blue?"

Her red eyes go towards the t-shirts that Veronica is nearby, and she actually releases her arm to go browse through them for a moment. Then she takes one off the rack and holds it over herself to show her girlfriend. "Like... what do you think of this color on me?"
Veronica Perenna A faint blush frames Veronica's smile when the episode of the calling card is brought up. "You got it right there, that ''was'' my magic, though you could say that I may have influenced how it looked a bit." Even if she hadn't ever picked up sewing, she really liked the imagery of the moon's strands.

A soft hums travels through the air as Veronica ponders the choice Laisa had put in front of her. If they are here to redefine her look, that's actually much more important than she thought. That's not a choice you make casually, and the colours Laisa picked...

"You know what? You are actually quite on the mark. I think ''both'' colours would look great on you. Green and blue balance very well with the red of your eyes. We could go with..." She considers, traveling around the store with her eyes, standing a bit taller to peek through the lines of clothes. "What about those midnight blue short with the grey accents two aisles down? Would you like those?"

Then she picks a lavender hoodie with green flowers across the hems of the sleeves and the main body, mimicking Laisa and letting her judge. "Would you like it if I wore this?"
Laisa Samuiko     Getting a second opinion from another artist does feel a bit reaffirming. Laisa nods and says, "Yeah I mean the red eyes and the purple hair are kind of what I have to work with. I mean... unless I were to dye my hair."

As she says that, a light bulb goes off in her head, as if she just remembered that hair dye was an option. Not that she'd want to get rid of the purple entirely, but... maybe some accents... Well, that'd likely be a different shop anyways.

As she's pointed to the midnight blue shorts, she hums and then walks over to them. "Ah. Well. Yes, this is about what I was looking for." She doesn't really have a lot of shorts, but she ''was'' thinking of changing things up a bit. Deciding to try these on later, she drapes the shorts over her arm and then looks over at what Veronica is considering.

Laisa awws and places a hand over her chest, saying, "A hoodie looks so cute on you. Oh, and those colors..." Remembering past conversations, she giggles. "Well we'd be a matching pair like that, wouldn't we?"

After a moment's looking around, she finds the changing rooms. Along the way she picks up a magenta ribbon and heads inside for a moment. A little while later, she emerges wearing a mint green shirt, the midnight blue shorts, and her hair tied in a side tail with the ribbon in a bow. She strikes a pose for a moment and says, "Well, what do you think? Recognize me?"

There's certainly a bit more color variety here than what she was wearing earlier. The tennis shoes are the same, though.
Veronica Perenna "Never said there is something wrong with them", Veronica smiles softly. "They are very beautiful red eyes. You'd put any ruby to shame, easily", she thinks up of the one she has acquired recently. No doubt that turns out lacking. "You have a very nice purple, very regal."

It could use a bit of a brush, but that's not what they are talking of right now. Actually, that's something she should consider later. She has heard that some people find getting their hair brushed soothing and relaxing. She knows she does. Maybe Laisa would enjoy it too.

When Laisa drifts towards the changing room, Veronica starts picking out more things for herself: a short baby blue skirt, white sneakers with azure accents, a orange shirt whose collar is embroidered with clouds and moons in various phases and a green ribbon with a white star pinning it at the center. That's how Laisa finds her when she comes back, with her arms full of her choices.

"I am pretty sure I could recognise you between 10000 others identical twins. That's how much you matter to me", she winks at her before addressing her getup. "But your clothes are really refreshing and they suit you a lot. They are great choices."

"We could be complementary matches or identical matches. Both are quite cute choices", she brings up, immediately skipping towards the changing room leaving her to ponder that. "My turn now. See you soon", she smiles impishly. It doesn't take longer for her to come back with her change, the ribbon tied at the end of her hair.
Laisa Samuiko     When Laisa hears Veronica speak so fondly of her eyes, her cheeks start getting a little red too. At told that her hair is very 'regal' she actually reaches up to touch it for a moment. Being complemented by her cute girlfriend still makes her feel giddy. "Eheh... Regal? I mean... maybe."

If Veronica ''did'' suggest brushing each other's hair, she'd find Laisa to be very receptive to the idea, and also very gentle. It might become obvious after a bit that Laisa's messiness had been an active choice and not a lack of ability.

In fact there's a pretty noticeable contrast between the messy way she usually appears and the almost formal, maybe even elegant way she's picking out clothes. She supposes she feels a little different about that now that she's dating someone...

As she returns and finds Veronica with her own armful of clothes, she smiles softly and then giggles at her darling's affection. "Impossibly sweet. How did I ever find someone like you?"

At the mention of being complimentary matches, Laisa makes an attempt at wordplay, "Oh? Well, it'd be easy to compliment you since you're so wonderful."

As Veronica comes back, she finds Laisa in the middle of picking out a new set of clothes. The options here are really nice and the price isn't ''really'' an obstacle, so the purple haired girl is taking her time. As she notices the other girl she smiles and says, "Okay, I love that blue on you and I think it fits your style pretty well. Also I like the print on your shirt, I should find something like that." After a moment she thinks it over. "Though maybe a different color. I like that orange on ''you'', but not on me."

After looking at her gathered clothes, she taps her chin and says, "You know... I could probably use a jacket... or..." she giggles and then says, "Oh, maybe I should find a hoodie like yours, if we're going to match."
Veronica Perenna Veronica's heart skips a beat and she puts her knuckles in front of her mouth when Laisa blushes, admiring her all the more in this sudden moment of extra cuteness. "That's you, not really someone else", she asserts decisively. "The only touch it could use is if they were brushed, and I could do it for you", she measures the words in a way they are almost left hanging in the air.

"With a bit of ice and a good deal of initiative", the brunette replies jestfully, blushing happily at the compliment, looking over Laisa again in her new look. Punk and elegant are both good with her, but she does take note of how quick the turnaround was.

She doesn't feel all that surprised, not with Laisa's artistic eye, but was the purple-haired girl waiting to have the chance to impress someone she actually cares about? She blushes a bit more happily that she holds her in that much consideration.

"I love your choices, you have so much to compliment", she expresses how how nice this makes her feel, just as Veronica likes her no matter what her style is.

"Thank you", she smiles at her considerations, looking back to where she found the shirt with the embroidery Laisa appreciates. "Let's go there, there are a few of different colours", she takes her hand lightly, and starts walking at a relaxed pace towards her destination.

"We could also find a hoodie after this. Are you looking for something specific that would tip you towards a hoodie or a jacket more?"
Laisa Samuiko     Ah! She got called out on her unbrushed hair. Eheh. "Sorry... I really should look a bit cleaner for our dates, shouldn't I? I kinda fell out of the habit." A little defensively, she adds, "I can brush my own hair! ... but... I mean..." A bit more hesitantly. "I mean if you wanted to, we could. Brush each other's hair. It'd be nice."

Now that there's someone who cares about her looks who isn't someone she hates...

Well, no that's not quite it. That Veronica was so important to her that Laisa holds her opinion as more important than the scorn of her whole clan... Laisa somehow fell really deeply in love with this girl before even noticing. How did feelings like that just... sneak up on her? Was it the curse or is she just that oblivious?

The goth girl comes back to reality realizing that she's staring blankly at clothes. She must have gotten lost in thought. Well, at least she wasn't blankly staring at something weird.

Veronica takes her hand, and Laisa smiles, following her to where the embroidered shirt was found. Thinking out loud in response to her girlfriend's question, she says, "Well, I'd have to see the hoodie in question, or the jacket. Which one I'd prefer kinda depends on the weather, too."

Once they arrive, Laisa starts picking through the shirts, considering each one in turn for a moment before moving onto the next one. Eventually she finds something she likes and adds it to her pile.

Laisa vanishes into the changing rooms again with an armful of clothes, and then comes back with a new outfit. A sleeveless shirt with a gradient that goes from a deep purple at the top and fades into midnight blue at the bottom. There's a print of silvery stars around the neckline, and a similar print that goes all the way down the sides from the arms to the waist. She's also wearing a comb in her hair with green gemcut glass arranged in floral patterns. Black arm warmers with a grey hem fill the space where the sleeves would be, starting up past her elbows and terminating halfway across the hand. At the waist she's wearing a black plaid skirt with green stripes, silvery knee high socks, and a pair of black shoes.

"Maybe still a bit punkish, but... what do you think? It's kind of a... conceptual compliment to yours, maybe. With you being the day and me being the night."

She taps the side of her chin and says, "Ah, though it's a little backwards, since ''you're'' the moonlight really."
Veronica Perenna Shaking her head, Veronica gives Laisa's hand a gentle squeeze. "I don't think that's a problem really. But we were talking about how beautiful your hair is, and yes, I agree, it'd be nice. Maybe calming too", she tries seeing what effect it would have on Laisa by humming a melody and moving her fingers through her hair for a brief few seconds.

Next up, she has already retracted, mindful of not doing it very long if it ends up unnerving Laisa and moves next to her to stare at the lines of clothes her girlfriend was blanking out in front of. She looks at her with a bit of alarm at that, wondering what has got her so lost in her own thoughts.

"I am glad I know you make statues, and you don't turn into them. You seemed really stuck in place then. 'Got something bothering you?", she speaks lightly, stopping any worry from seeping into the moment and ruining it.

At the mentioning of her indecision, Veronica gives her a thumbs up. "Why don't we do this then?", she smiles when Laisa comes back. "You get one and I get you the other one. That way, you can trade as needed."

"And don't worry about the theme of moonlight, I haven't trademarked it. And honestly, the fact you want to put effort into replicating it, that's something nice you are doing", she laughs unbothered. "Actually, we can pay homage to each other", and she disappears, going around to pick some more clothes.

When she comes back from the dressing room, she is wearing a puffer jacket over a cream-coloured cotton shirt, and a dusty rose skirt with beige suede boots. Her hair is loose again, with a white ribbon at the side of her head.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa holds still at first as Veronica runs her hands through her hair, still lightly blushing. She's still feeling a little awkward but it's hard to feel to bad about it when her darling is trying to make her feel nice. After the seconds pass, Laisa closes her eyes and says, "You're very nurturing, you know. Is that your love language?"

When questioned, Laisa glances at her girlfriend and says, "I just... I'm reflecting on how much I love you. How much I enjoy your company and all the kindnesses you show me." The purple haired girl feels pretty vulnerable saying that, and probably wouldn't have shared her feelings with anyone else. She is, once again, pushing herself to be sincere here because... well, it's Veronica. It's her girlfriend. "Sorry I just... maybe because I was cursed for so long, I think I get a bit overwhelmed by the way I feel about you. A bit surprised, too."

She smiles at the mention of trading clothes. With a giggle she says, "Ah, we could! Sharing clothes like that would be nice. Especially if it's something like a hoodie or jacket where the height difference between us doesn't matter so much."

At the mention of paying homage to each other, Laisa's heart melts a little bit. Well, she did say that they were fans of each other, didn't they? When Veronica comes back, Laisa takes a moment to appreciate the outfit. "Adorable, actually. I am... actually really loving these outfits, I have to admit."

After covering her mouth to giggle, she says, "Well, this is a great... second date? Third? Does making the sculpture count as a date?" Recent events make it somewhat difficult to really count what does or does not count as a date. "Either way, I'm having a really good time."
Veronica Perenna "Am I?", she tilts her head quizzically. "I just want you to have a good time, because I care about you. I am not thinking much when I do those things", she shares without much thought.

"Making you feel nice, seeing you express your feelings safely, and being content and satisfied... make ''me'' a happy girlfriend in turn", the brunette continues in the same breath, and moves her hand to caress her shoulder affectionately.

"And I am so glad that you show every moment just how much you trust me by being so open. That's not something that comes naturally in general, and I think that's very precious", Veronica leans closer to her.

"I haven't really had these feelings for anyone else before now, so maybe that's why I am so enthusiastic about it. And I am sharing so much now, because you make it so easy to talk about you positively", she finishes talking.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa smiles softly at Veronica, listening to her words. At the touch to her shoulder she gets a little meek for a moment, but her eyes stay staring directly at her girlfriend's. She gets very still as Veronica leans closer to her.

Her heart is racing, because her girlfriend is being so sweet. "You make it really easy to open up to you, because you're always so kind and gentle about it. Maybe that's why this feels so intense, because we keep getting closer to each other and it keeps working out. ... and no maybe it's not something that comes naturally but... Well I mean I told you how I feel about sincerity."

At the mention that Veronica hasn't felt that way about anyone else before, Laisa feels... guilty about that for a moment, and then she realizes that it probably shows plainly on her face.

Ugh is there a way to explain that where it wont ruin the mood? Keeping it to herself would be hypocritical.

Laisa glances away and just admits, "I... ''wish'' you were the first person I ever dated." She glances at Veronica to gauge her reaction to that. "Sorry I just... I really don't want to lead you on about something like that. I've never felt this strongly about anyone before, that's something I can honestly say, but... that's not the same as saying I've never dated."

Laisa's actually not sure how much detail Veronica actually wants to hear on that, so for once she actually doesn't speak her mind. It's potentially dramatic. She froze her heart for a reason, after all.
Veronica Perenna Veronica stops as soon as she feels the concern in Laisa's voice, when it gets through to her that in her quest to explain just how special she is, she has likely ended up her feeling worse about herself.

It's true that they keep approaching each other with sincerity, and that's why they are working so in tandem right now. And in a twist, the fact that they have been thrust into the world of Crystal Tokyo right when they did has given them the opportunity to show how they work when there is a problem.

She looks around herself, at the various clients and employees in the shop, and while there aren't many of them, there absolutely are a few, so maybe being out here in the open is not the right place to have this talk.

Her gaze shifts to the dressing room, and then back to Laisa. Probably they have little chances of being interrupted or overheard there. "I don't mind that. You have had a story with someone else, so what? Does it bother you though? We could sneak in a dressing room. We should be alone there, and you could tell me about what worries you."

If Laisa agrees with that, Veronica will give her a hug first, then move there, and lean against the wall silently, facing Laisa, waiting for her to share what has been gnawing at her.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa glances at Veronica and is... honestly relieved at her reaction. She smiles softly and says, "I'm... glad you feel that way. Not everyone would. There isn't really... that much to say about it, but... I mean it's more of the same."

Noticing that Veronica's eyes are going to the dressing room, and just as she's starting to suspect what her girlfriend intends, her words actually make it pretty clear. "Sure, let's go. It's not really something we should talk about in the open, so..."

Laisa hugs Veronica back, waits a moment to see if anyone's watching them, and then moves in after. She makes sure they're alone together, and makes ''very'' sure to engage the privacy lock, and then takes a seat on the tiny bench inside.

"It's... look, I don't blame him for what happened. He wasn't a bad guy, nothing that happened was his fault, and he was a victim in that too. We just... really weren't right for each other, but the family curse wouldn't let us see that."

She clears her throat. It's not that she feels bad about saying this in front of her girlfriend, but... it's a rough spot in her history.

"He was my childhood friend, and my first crush, and he was someone that my family thought was acceptable for me to date. So the curse... decided that we should be together, started afflicting him, and then we dated for a while. It... was a very... proper relationship, if you catch my drift. Each of us doing what was expected of us, no closer than we were supposed to be, and no further apart either. Every step we took was something that the curse deemed acceptable. That society would deem acceptable."

Laisa reaches for the Rime Rosary, which she's started to display on the outside of her clothes, especially on dates, so that it wouldn't touch her skin directly. Pointing at it, she says, "He actually found this first. He was digging through stuff he shouldn't have been and the moment he touched it... well, it was over between us. The curse was lifted off of him and he realized that he didn't have any real feelings for me, so we broke it off."

With a wry smile she adds, "At first I thought this cursed object had somehow stolen him from me, and so I approached it with the intent of figuring out a way to get him to love me again, but... the moment I touched it I saw the truth."

Smiling apologetically up at Veronica, she adds, "Sorry. I keep dumping my tragic backstory on you. I swear I'm not trying to make you my therapist. Just... well, now you know why I was so worried about you. I was speaking from experience."
Veronica Perenna While Laisa deals with the lock, Veronica listens out to their surroundings, trying to pick up on any sound that might denote someone nearby, but she hears nothing, so she just relaxes against the wall and looks at the sitting Laisa in patient wait.

She winces slightly when the purple-haired girl starts making excuses for the guy first, but she understands why that would weigh on her too, as much as Veronica wishes she would place herself first this one time.

There is a brief moment where she bristles at the talk of society's expectations, and she understands what that would have felt like, even if that didn't apply to a magic curse that would manipulate her feelings.

She gives a nod and a reassuring smile when Laisa gathers her words for when she feels ready to go on, and she listens intently to every word that comes out of Laisa's mouth. Each hesitation and reluctance is accompanied by Veronica's hand brush against her shoulder again, that even if she wasn't there then, she is here now.

"It must have been like a betrayal without someone to confront", she agrees when the story comes to an end. If you were ready to build every step of your future with him, the wake up call must have been disorientating even if you knew of the logic", Veronica continues, showing and stressing she is sympathizing with Laisa despite the subject matter.

"I understand, and I know you said that there is very little chance of the curse affecting me since I have magic, but if you want to know for sure, I can hold the rosary and tell you about my feelings again. And if it does try to bring more trouble into our relationship through your family, we will face it togethe. But I am to stick with you no matter what."
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa doesn't want to be the kind of person who bad talks all her exes, and well... she only has the one. Still she notices the wince, and hopes by the end of the story it'll be clear why such excuses are warranted.

The reassurance, the comfort, the touching of her shoulder... all of that is nice and sweet. It's appreciated, but what reaches Laisa the most was the fact that Veronica put to words a feeling that she's been struggling with.

'It must have been like a betrayal without someone to confront.'

Laisa starts to stand up from where she's sitting, glancing at the wall and nodding as she listens. "Right. Right. Yeah. Like... like I can't ''blame'' him because he wasn't ''really'' a consenting party to begin with, but like... I was still ''lied to'', you know? I was still stabbed in the back by something I was trusting my ''entire life'' to and I just..."

The goth girl starts rubbing her temple, because Veronica's words are making a lot of sense and it's... nice to hear someone who agrees and sympathizes? Someone who gets it.

"I just don't know what to do with those feelings. I had to basically rebuild the entire philosophy I live my life by. I used to look up to all those people and now they just seem weird and alien to me."

She's frowning now, and a little bit angry, but also on some level she feels a little bit more at peace. Like a crack in her foundation has been filled, at least a bit.

"I doubt the curse is affecting you at all, but I mean... if you wanted to touch it, you can." She holds up the rosary, offering Veronica the chance to touch it. "It wont do anything but shut your romantic feelings off for a moment. I mean... let's be real it doesn't even stop me from flirting with you." That last line is said with a smile and a wink.

Though, seeing her taller girlfriend leaning against the wall, Laisa walks a bit closer and stands on her toes, she starts to get an idea. "Though... speaking of flirting? What I ''really'' want to do right now is kiss you."
Veronica Perenna Plans, careers, friendship, bonds... There were lots of things she still had despite the curse they were all saddled with, things she could treasure despite everything. She paid a big price for her freedom and truth. At least she is hopefully getting something worth it all, here at Radiant Heart.

"That way any doubts to rest, that my feelings are mine, and not exaggerated", Veronica smiles fondly to Laisa. She has no doubts about that, but with something so pernicious and Laisa's past experiences, she hopes that this too can provide some certainty and comfort.

Her hand closes around the rosary, and she can feel a pulse of magic cover her. She doesn't think this is dark energy, but it's indeed very strong. She suddenly feels a lot more muted, like her world has been drained of the most brilliant colours had been taken away. She can still feel her own feelings for Laisa, but it's like they are a dot on the horizon, and incredibly vague.

This is what Laisa feels every time then. It's actually mind opening, and she probably should have asked to try it at least once, to be able to actually get what she is talking about. She gives the rosary back, and colours and feelings rush back in like a broken dam, making Veronica stumble briefly. "This was quite strong", she tells her before opening in a smile. "Thank you. And I still love you just as much as before."

Her eyes twinkle when she gets asked for a kiss, a full smile with her mouth open now. That's certainly a way to clear out the sensations from the rosary. "Well, I doubt anybody is going to bother us here", Veronica looks at her eagerly, and leaning down, she puts a arm around her girlfriend's waist, holding her close and meeting her lips with her own in a warm kiss.
Laisa Samuiko     That Veronica would go so far to understand what Laisa felt, just to see what it is she deals with... It kind of melts her heart a little bit more. She watches as Veronica goes through the process, of feeling the curse of the Rosary, and of seeing her feelings leave and then... return.

Laisa didn't think that she'd care about that reassurance one way or another, and to an extent she was kindof humoring Veronica a bit, but it actually ''is'' reassuring in a way. Proving not only that Veronica's feelings are real, but that the boy's rejection also was. It answers a question that Laisa had decided not to care about because she didn't think she'd ever get an answer to...

Another way in which Veronica is always so kind to her. Laisa really is so lucky.

As Veronica leans down and holds her around her waist, Laisa reaches up to wrap her arms around her girlfriend's shoulders. Their lips meet and for a moment it feels like heaven, and Laisa cannot help but press closer against her darling. She lets the kiss linger for a bit, savoring it for a moment, before breaking it ever so slightly.

Her lips still less than a centimeter away from her beloved's, she whispers, "I love you so, so much... and no curse could ever take that away."

Then, with half-lidded eyes and a smile, she goes for another kiss.
Veronica Perenna "I love you too just like the night follows the day, over and over", the brunette says with a melodious cadence brimming with joy and affection, staying close to Laisa, and peering into those shades of Red that stare back with intensity.

No matter how much her feelings won't be able to come out in henshin, Veronica knows Laisa's sweetness and love are always something she can trust into.

And she goes in for that other kiss too, enjoying the kiss with Laisa for as long as they keep it, caressing her with her other arm on Laisa's upper back. And there is a moment when she goes through her henshin mid-kiss, and she uses her magic to level the experience so that neither of them has to focus on reaching the other, suddenly standing equally to the purple-haired girl.
Laisa Samuiko     Hearing her girlfriend's sweet words makes Laisa sigh so softly and happily. She actually never expected such a date to lead to them kissing in the dressing room, but she's certainly not complaining. Her eyes are locked on Veronica's as she holds her close.

After Veronica henshins just so she can use her magic to get a bit shorter, Laisa hums pleasantly. In between kisses she says, "I think I'm beginning to see the appeal of that magic of yours~." Another kiss, "I think I could kiss you for hours."

She readjusts her arms to be a bit more comfortable with the lack of height difference, one wrapping around Veronica's shoulders and the other tracing down her back. Whispering, "I might get carried away if we aren't careful~."

She kisses Veronica again, and then again, each time slow and soft and sweet. Then she stands there staring into her darling's eyes with a very relaxed expression. "Following you into Sarek that day was the best choice I've ever made~."
Veronica Perenna Veronica laughs gently, keeping a low voice so nobody gets the idea of starting to investigate, the sound low and warm against Laisa's lips as she melts into the sweet rhythm of their kisses. Her eyes stay fixed on her the wondrous girl between her arms, gleaming with quiet affection.

"You're dangerous when you're this charming," she murmurs between kisses, her voice laced with amusement and adoration. Her newly shortened height makes it easier to tuck herself close, and resting her forehead lightly against Laisa's for a moment, she savours their closeness. "The real perks of magic: adjustable cuddling height", she quips back in a whisper.

At the mention of Sarek, Veronica's expression softens even more, and she keeps her lips a brush away from hers to reply. "Inviting you in was mine", she half-closes her eyes with yearning. "Even more so as you are the first to have visited it."

Her fingers gently brush along the curve of Laisa's back, a delicate and persistent touch. "Would getting carried away be so bad though?" she counters. "If the shop starts closing we simply move into Sarek."
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa, also, is keeping quiet, because the last thing she wants right now is anyone disrupting their cuddle session. It really is a ''nice'' cuddle session, too. Being this close to the woman she loves, being held and kissed and spoken to so sweetly while also getting to do the same in return. Feeling the warmth of Veronica's love and embrace...

"Dangerous~?" coos the purple-haired girl. "Me~? Ah, but I'm the one whose being charmed here. You with all of your cuteness, sweetness, and kindness. Your love is like rain on a desert, and I can't help but soak it up."

She giggles at the adjustable cuddle height comment. "Such a wonderful perk indeed. I don't mind you being taller, but this ''does'' make your lovely lips a bit more accessible." She kisses again, to demonstrate. "Honestly... I'd love you no matter what form you take, because no matter what you look like you'll always have that wonderful heart of yours~."

Her breathing slows as she calms in Veronica's arms. She feels safe here, holding her and being held. Relaxed and excited at the same time. A part of her wants to giggle, but... she doesn't want to make too much noise.

She shivers as her darling's fingers brush across her back, and she smiles slyly at her girlfriend's question. Shaking her head slowly, Laisa whispers, "Not at all. We can get carried away if you want, and you can always carry me away, too~."

She squeezes Veronica tightly for a moment and leans against her, pushing her against the wall as she goes for another kiss, gently brushing lips together while looking deeply into her beloved's eyes.

So cute, she thinks, admiring Veronica.
Veronica Perenna Veronica smiles into the kiss, her voice dropping to a warm murmur. "You should be careful with flattery like that... I might stay like this just to keep those kisses coming", she looks at her with warm veneration, taking in the more than abundant cuteness and beauty of her love.

Veronica barely registers her thump against the wall when her back meeting the surface behind her, too busy being delightfully overwhelmed by the girl in her arms. She smiles through the kiss, holding back a content sigh that gets released a second later when she gets a fraction of a distance.

Her heart flutters in her chest at the bold gesture, and she welcomes it, dragging Laisa closer to her instead of leaning against her, letting the next kiss linger just a little longer, her sight obscured in the tenderness of the moment.

"That explains a lot of things", she says when she opens her eyes again, putting in one more kiss instead of continuing the sentence right away, softly pressed and content, matching the energy coursing through Veronica. "You are really so warm, my dearest snow angel."

Veronica would take Laisa fully on her word if they weren't already wearing the shop's clothes, and that's not the kind of thief she is. It opens her up to a dilemma when they can get all the solitude they want, but only if they stop long enough to pay for the clothes. And her flushed cheeks would probably give away what they were doing in here.

"What do we do about the clothes?", she asks in a whisper, holding back a kiss despite herself so Laisa can answer her, but making it up with more gentle caresses across her back.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa really ''is'' getting carried away, enjoying every moment, every tender kiss, every warm touch. She has completely forgotten where she is and what she came here to do. Now she's lost in her own little world where her only purpose is to cuddle Veronica, and life is indeed grand.

"If I'm warm, it's because you're making me blush so much~."

    Then she hears the question.

'What do we do about the clothes?'

    Her heart immediately stops.

    Oh shoot.

She actually releases Veronica for a bit and takes a nervous step back. Laisa doesn't actually want to steal either, especially not from people who haven't done anything wrong. Not when she has more than enough money to pay for what she wants to buy.

Yet at the same time... if they leave right now it'll be really obvious what they were doing in here. Especially if they leave at the same time. They could stagger their departure a bit, but that wouldn't do much about the blushing.

Her eyes go to the changing room's mirror as she starts to adjust her appearance and... oh geeze she's still totally wearing that cute goth getup and if she's ''really'' honest she doesn't actually want to let it go, but--

Clearing her throat, she starts to say, "A-ah, well, we could--" Then her mind blanks. There really is no way out of this situation.

Fanning herself off with her hand, she whispers to her sapphic partner in not-doing-crime. "The clothes are cute. We should buy them, but... maybe give ourselves a minute to calm down? I..."

Her expression goes flat. She actually has a solution. "This is an abuse of my power, but..." Grabbing her Rime Rosary, she holds onto it tightly and tries very hard not to look at Veronica or think about how beautiful she is. Eventually her blush fades, and she frowns because she ''was'' feeling nice darnit, but at least now she can think things through.

Glancing at Veronica with suddenly far less passionate eyes... "I think I understand now. My concern for you isn't purely romantic. We're friends in addition to being girlfriends. Maybe that's why I still care for you like this." After a thought she adds, "... still doesn't explain the flirting, though." She is unsure about her theory.

She offers the rosary to Veronica, in case she also needs it to calm down. "We can continue this later, when we're actually alone, if you want. For now, we should leave separately, pay for our things, and then meet outside. Does that sound good?"

Even holding the Rosary like this, there's something in her eyes that says she ''really'' wants to pick up where they left off in more private conditions.
Veronica Perenna It really is one way to get brought crashing back to Earth. Veronica's expression expresses her agreement unmistakably. And yet they really have no other choice, she sighs a bit, starting to pace around the room when Laisa releases her.

She looks at her own clothes, and to be honest, she really really likes the lavender hoodie with green accents, and same goes for the baby blue skirt. For the whole get up in the general to be honest.

At least Laisa has a solution for the flushed cheeks, and she gratefully takes a hold of the rosary when it is offered to her. That's a feeling she never imagined she would have felt, but even so it absolves its purpose and soon enough, she can give the rosary back. "Thank you". A shame about the positive feedback they were having in here.

"Hmm, that could be it. We always have a lot of things in common", she muses in an unconvinced tone. After all, that also goes to show they don't merely have a physical response to each other, and it wouldn't make them any less girlfriends.

Pondering aside, at least she too has a magical solution to the other half of the problem. "We don't need to leave separately", she grins. "I can disappear, find a place behind an aisle, and then we meet at the cashier", Veronica tells Laisa and she does so right after, making sure to get her old clothes first.

Soon after, Veronica is at the queue, holding a spot for Laisa, and her old clothes neatly folded into a bag. "Nice to see you again", she caresses her cheek with a loving smile. When they get to the cashier, the employee gives her an odd look and with a flash and a nervous smirk, Veronica realises she never returned to her normal height.

Whoops? At least that's not really liable to get them in trouble.
Laisa Samuiko     It really is a shame about the good feeling they were having together, but really... Veronica had a point. After being thanked, Laisa says flatly, "No problem, dear."

She spends a few moments pondering the curse's interaction with her feelings, but gets distracted from that when Veronica reminds her of her other magical powers. "Ah, of course. Walls are no obstacle for you, are they?"

Laisa lets go of the Rime Rosary for one moment and considers the possibility of the Princess of Sarek sneaking into her dorm that way. She has to grab the henshin item again in order to stop herself from blushing at the thought.

"Good idea," she says. "That should cover everything, right?"

Laisa also forgets to remind Veronica about the height difference, and when they finally meet back at the cashier she starts getting self-conscious about the reaction they get. Oh shoot, did they get caught? What does that mean--

    Oh, Veronica is still short.

    Oops.

Laisa tries to play it cool as she walks up to the front and pays. When she gets a chance to she hooks her arm around Veronica's again so that they can walk out of the store together.

By this time she's released the rosary again, and even if they aren't kissing and cuddling in private anymore she's still ''thinking'' about it.

She will probably remember this day for a long time as the day they got away with cuddling in the dressing room.
Veronica Perenna At the very least, Laisa can have the assurance that Veronica wouldn't just invite herself over out of nowhere, but she would send a message and check if she has plans already, then explain what she wants to do.

Quickly masking that nervous grin, she goes up to the cashier with measured poise, the training her parents put her through once more coming in handy, and pays for her own clothes with little problem besides that initial look.

Veronica too is still thinking about the abrupt way things ended up, and she is mildly disappointed over it. She looks at Laisa, who expressed similar feelings, and after locking her arm with hers, she asks "What are you going to do now?"
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa glances at Veronica from the corner of her eyes as the two of them walk arm in arm. At the question, she considers for a moment before playfully tapping her chin, as if she's thinking very hard about it. "Hmm. Well~. If you're still needfully longing for my embrace, we can go somewhere with actual privacy and take it from the top? I wouldn't want to leave you unsatisfied~."

Laisa winks at Veronica with a big smile.

"There's my dorm room, which I have by myself. There's also your 'private island'." Referring of course to Veronica's personal world, Sarek.

With a sigh she says, "Of course, we don't have to. We can go get ice cream somewhere or have dinner. I can't promise I'll ever be able to forget such a romantic moment as that, but we don't ''have'' to continue if your mood is ruined now. There's other fun things to do."

Placing her hand on her own cheek, she gives Veronica a dreamy look. "I'm always down to cuddle you, though. Any time, any place. I am, after all, madly in love with you."

Laisa's still feeling pretty bold, she notices. Saying something like that. It's hard not to be brave about her feelings when Veronica has never failed to be receptive and supportive.
Veronica Perenna Veronica's lips curl into a soft, amused smile as she turns her head just slightly to meet Laisa's dreamy gaze. The warmth in her eyes is fully focused on the purple-haired girl in front of her, listening to her like a familiar, welcome song she never would never get tired of hearing.

She gives a quiet laugh, and gently squeezes Laisa's arm. "I can tell you your embrace makes me feel like a piece has just fallen into place, and everything is full" she remarks with gentle sincerity, briefly leaning against Laisa's shoulder.

Then, with a playful flick of her fingers through a lock of Laisa's hair, she straightened up and nodded ahead. "That said, I think ice cream sounds perfect right now. I hear that sea salt caramel is in vogue right now, and I would love to try it with you. Or steal yours, depending", she smirks with a mischievious light in her eyes.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa's dreamy gaze meets Veronica's eyes and she almost gets lost in them. Which becomes a problem when she realizes that she's not watching where she's going. Looking ahead with a nonplussed expression, she kinda has to admit to herself that the mood is passed and there's no recovering it.

Well, actually, she's fine with that just being what it was. It was nice, if maybe a bit ill-timed, and it ''was'' a good shopping trip after all.

"Well, if you ever need me to hold you again, you know where to find me~," promises Laisa. Then she smiles softly as her hair is played with, and she lights up a bit as Veronica suggests a flavor for ice cream.

"Oh, I've been wanting to try that!" then she giggles before adding with a lilt, "Ah, well, fair's fair. We're always stealing from each other, after all."
Veronica Perenna Veronica nods with a smile as Laisa talks, reaching to lightly hold her hand and taking off in the direction of the Ice Cream Parlor. It's in another Ward, but the serene weather and Laisa's company make for a very pleasant smiles, and she spends the short trip there chatting and making jokes.

Once they arrive at their destination, they put their orders in and find open seats in front of each other at a small table, and Veronica occasionally glances toward the counter where their orders are being put together. She rests her arms on the table, casually watching the shop's slow rhythm while the hum of conversation fills the background.

"I have been wanting to try it for a while, but I never got the time", she confesses to Laisa, shifting her gaze back to her girlfriend.
Laisa Samuiko     The trip to the ice cream parlor is a pleasant one. The weather is perfect for a date, and Laisa always appreciates Veronica's company. She laughs at Veronica's jokes and makes a few of her own, content to enjoy the time they spend together in a relaxed and casual way.

When they get to the shop, after putting in their orders, Laisa across the table from Veronica. With a soft, happy smile, she watches her girlfriend, occasionally also giving the counter a curious glance.

"You know, I haven't actually had ice cream in a while. It's actually one of my favorite treats, though..." Leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms, she chuckles for a moment. "... I suppose that's no real surprise."

As she hears other customers chatting in the shop, she comments, "This must be a pretty popular place."
Veronica Perenna Veronica's eyes stay on Laisa, and the brunette gives her a soft smile. "I suppose it's not, but still nice to know," she remarks about how obvious Laisa feels it is, chuckling alongside her. "We are still getting to know each other's tastes and this is part of it." She leans forward slightly, looking at Laisa adoringly. "And I like that you are open about things, even if they aren't a surprise."

She glances around the shop again, taking in the comfortable atmosphere. The other people's buzz of conversation feels right, not at all invasive or overwhelming. "A good sign" she says, after Laisa's comment. "The quality must have stayed the same. Either that, or everyone in this Ward is just really into frozen sugar", she tells her, her mouth curved at the corners.

Veronica leans back in her chair a little, arms still resting on the table as she glances toward the counter again. "I usually go with mint," she says with an easy grin. "It's kind of my go-to. I like its freshness, and it's light enough that it doesn't feel too strong" she shares, giving a small, content nod.
Laisa Samuiko     Laisa gives Veronica a relaxed smile, leaning back in her chair as she admires her darling. "Well, you make it easy to be open with you, since you're so understanding. I feel like we have a lot in common, so maybe that's why we seem to always get each other."

Nodding, Laisa agrees, "It is! Means we have something to look forward to. Though I mean, if they were just here for frozen sugar, I wouldn't blame them."

As the subject goes to ice cream flavors, Laisa's eyes light up a bit. "Oh, I love mint, actually. Mint chocolate is the best. I know some people hate it but I literally can't understand why. No accounting for taste I guess. A while back there was this seasonal flavor of peppermint bark ice cream and that was ''amazing'', but I haven't seen it since."

She tilts her head to the side and looks up, having a reflective moment. "If I had to pick a second favorite... honestly, that'd be a huge toss up, but anything that mixes chocolate and ice cream together is a good bet. Especially if the chocolate is in little candy bits or like... melted into little crevices."

Turning her red eyes back to her beloved, she adds, "There's a lot of gimmick flavors too, and for most of those I could take them or leave them. That's especially true for the soda-based flavors, but actually... there's one exception. Root Beer and vanilla ice cream ''always'' go well together."
Veronica Perenna Veronica listens with a more and more involved expression as Laisa talks, clearly enjoying the subject and her enthusiasm. "See, now you're making me feel a little basic for just sticking with regular mint," she looks at her eyes, but there's no real self-deprecation in it. "Peppermint bark ice cream sounds quite good. If it's nowhere, we could look it up and try to make it together. The dorms have a common kitchen." Who knows how that got there with how much they worry about students burning themselves.

"You know what you'd probably love?" she says, leaning forward a bit, eyes bright with the idea. "Chocolate fudge swirl. Not the syrupy kind, but the one with those thick ribbons of fudge running through vanilla or chocolate base. I think you might be all over that."

She perks up a little at the mention of root beer and vanilla. "I've never actually had that combo before," she says, curiosity sparking in her voice. "But the way you talk about it makes it sound like something special. I'll probably have to try it at some point, just to see what it is you like about it."

Next up, one of the parlor staff approaches their table, carrying their salt cream caramel ice cream comes, and Veronica straightens up a bit as they're set down on the table. "Thank you" she says with a crystalline timbre, sliding the support holding Laisa's closer to her and doing the same with her own. "The much awaited moment of truth," she says, lifting it up.
Laisa Samuiko     With an amused smile, Laisa plants her elbow on the table and props up her cheek while keeping her eyes on Veronica. "No one who knows you would call you basic, my dear. You have far too much class. Though I mean... We probably could? I'm sure there's an ice cream mixer around somewhere. I'm assuming it's just vanilla ice cream with peppermint bark mixed in, but... that's just an assumption."

Maybe the common kitchen stays because every so often there's a student who's an amazing cook, and those who are prone to burning themselves just tend to stay away.

At the mention of Chocolate fudge swirl, Laisa nods emphatically. "Oh, yeah! I mean, honestly that'd be amazing. I've seen a few variations on that but in general I support it."

Tilting her head, she asks, "Oh? You've never had a Root Beer float before? I mean, I recommend having that at least once. You don't need to buy the gimmick flavor version, though. You can actually just buy some root bear and then put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it. The way the ice cream melts into the root beer while simultaneously soaking it up... You'll understand it if you see it. It's kind of a special treat though and I mean..." with a wince, she adds, "Because it's soda, you absolutely want to brush and floss your teeth after eating it. Unless you want to find out if Mamoru can fix cavities."

The ice cream comes, and Laisa has already gotten herself excited talking about all these different flavors. Sea salt caramel is a new combination to her, but she knows that she likes sea salt, caramel, and ice cream. She can't imagine them going bad together.

As Veronica thanks the staff, Laisa mimics the gesture, saying, "Thank you so much!" Then, when they're (relatively) alone again Laisa smiles at Veronica and says, "You really have such a pretty voice."

Laisa lifts her cone to mirror Veronica's movement, tapping them against each other as if making a toast. "The moment of truth!" Then she takes her first bite and lets the ice cream melt on her tongue as she considers the flavor of it. She slightly tilts her head from side to side and says, "I mean... I shouldn't be surprised that the sea salt works? A lot of ice cream has salt in it anyways."
Veronica Perenna There is a wink at the praise and she tilts her head forward in a small bowing gesture. "Why, thank you lots. I do try to keep up, especially if I am in henshin. Helps a lot my stage magician act." And a bout of confidence fills her when her proposal is accepted. "I think we will coast by just fine. Do you think the ice cream we made ourselves would be much sweeter?"

"You know..." Veronica starts observing, taking in all the explanations Laisa gives her. "I am starting to realise you really know a lot about ice cream, not just how to enjoy it. Or did I get that wrong?" There is a curious glint on Veronica's face accompanying the smile to Laisa.

Veronica smiles and a soft blush forms on her cheeks at the compliment. "Thanks," she says, with a light and appreciative voice. "That's sweet of you to say." She looks at Laisa playfully, "It adds to the choreography sometimes. Even my henshin, I peppered it up with a small song."

The smooth, creamy sweetness melts on Veronica's tongue, and she hums in approval of it. "I think it just adds a nice little kick at the end that normal salt doesn't have, maybe?", she seeks Laisa's opinion, an unsure look on her face.
Laisa Samuiko     With a giggle, Laisa says, "I think it would be, especially if we made it together." With a wink she says, "We can consider it another joint art project. If nothing else it'd be a cool thing for us to do together."

At being told she knows a lot about ice cream, Laisa pauses and thinks it over a bit, then laughs a little sheepishly. "Well, I mean... Yeah I guess. I used to have an ice cream maker and I'd make it myself. Who knows? Maybe the dorm kitchen has one. If not, we can always get one."

Laisa shrugs and says, "It's just the truth, though. Even before I fell for you, I thought the henshin song was kind of cute."

Laisa nods at Veronica's assessment. "Right. I mean it's sea salt so it's a little different, and I'm sure they added a bit more than usual since they're using it for flavor, not just as a preservative. Either way, salted caramel is also a hit. Overall, I think this is pretty good."

After taking a few more bites of her ice cream, she smiles at Veronica and says, "I'm having a wonderful time, Veronica. Thanks for sharing this date with me~!"
