Emi Hoshino It seems likely to her that the school nurse would have eventually heard about the resultse of the slumber party. Nearly a dozen students in various states of modest injury, let alone the possibility of injury to Hinoiri from extended stress, would have surely demanded the nurse's attention.

... which is why, perhaps, Emi was texting her. Her now at least somewhat known overdeveloped sense of her personal responsibility has left her texting the nurse and suggesting they meet sometime in the days following Hinoiri's rescue.

Which is why Emi has slipped into the nurse's office at the appointed time and the appointed place, all gothed up with, for once, somewhere to go. That it is the nurse's office is irrelevant. Mostly.
Setsuna Meiou When Emi slips into the Nurse's office just after the nominal close of school, about half the lights are out and Nurse Meiou is nowhere to be seen.

A good set of ears, however, will hear the sound of someone rummaging around in the back storeroom...and the door to same is cracked slightly open.

A few moments later, the nurse comes out of the back room and locks it behind her before turning to Emi, "Ah, Miss Hoshino. You're right on time."

She walks over towards the front of the room, absently making little adustments or putting things into place as she goes, "...so, then...how can I be of assistance?"
Emi Hoshino "Huh," says Emi.

"I don't hear that too often."

It's true. Emi is better known for being late just about everywhere. You might as well find her picture under 'late' with a piece of toast in her mouth. All the same, she sits down, promptly, and smooths her long skirt while getting comfortable.

"I thought we should talk about, uh, people getting hurt in their dreams and ... stuff," she adds, haltingly. "Like, with what happened with Hinoiri and all the people helping me and stuff, I thought you might have questions, or maybe would want to see how it all works for yourself."
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou nods as she walks past Emi, then makes sure the door is shut and secured so a random student doesn't barge in.

Once she's certain there will be proper privavy, she turns back to the other young woman and nods, "I imagine that any wounds people suffer will be analogous to the damage they take within their dreams."

She waves a hand absently, "...that's the way it works in stories, usually...and in general, that's what it sounds like happened the other evening...though I imagine there will be some difference in the particulars that you'll know more about."

She then sits down, "And see how it works? I imagine you'll need me to fall asleep, or does your ability allow you to override that need?"
Emi Hoshino "I mean, you're not wrong. Anything that gets 'through' and actually hurts you will leave a mark. It's not entirely one to one, but close enough. You saw what happened to my ribs. But it's also, like ... you saw what happened to Hinoiri with all the stress and so on, and I figured you might wanna run around a little in the dreamscape and get a feel for what's happening there and how it leaves you feeling. You'll need to fall asleep on your own, yeah, but I can make it easier if I hang out nearby. Otherwise, I can just give you something that establishes a connection between us I can use to visit your dreams, or pull you into mine. Your preference. The privacy of your own dreams are important, should you want to keep it."

Very Responsible Emi Hoshino could also be the title of her anime.
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou nods, "Well, then. If you're amenable, no time like the present."

With that, she simply sits down in her chair, laces her fingers together in her lap, closes her eyes...and within a few moments, she's asleep.
Emi Hoshino "Huh," says Emi, thoughtfully. Not too many people can do that, at least not that quickly. Setsuna will miss the slightly impressed look that flickers across the girl's face. She studies Setsuna's sleeping face for a while, covering one eye with her hand like she's trying to read the letters at an optometrist visit.

Then she reclines in her seat herself, puts her hands behind her head, and she's soon asleep herself. Almost instantly. She slips from the waking world into the dream, finding herself on the grounds of her personal dreamscape, KenKen on her shoulder.

"Sup, KenKen?" she asks the multicolored, vibrant overly sizewd jumping spider.

"Oh, nothing new," twirls the spider, "I was bored waiting for you in your room so when I saw you go dreaming I thought I'd come say hi!"

"We're on on our way to the nurse's dream."

"The scary one or the pink one?"

"Scary."

"Yay!"

Emi finds herself walking along a beach, thereafter, all black sand and aurora-covered sky with towering crystal that emerging from the waves that seem to pierce the sky. She walks onto the waves, themselves all a shimmer with waves of color auroras above, finding a door that emerges from nowhere above them, and passes through it. She can sense the nearness of Setsuna's dream and then gently pushes her way within.
Setsuna Meiou At first, Emi might be a bit confused as she passes into the Nurse's dream.

After all, she steps through the door into an apparently empty, endless white void.

While one can feel a 'ground' firmly under one's feet (and it even sounds hard like concrete or stone when stepped on with the proper kind of shoes), there's otherwise no reference for where the ground ends and the sky begins.

No discernable horizon, nothing to differentiate anything from anything else.

At least until one turns around.

There, an apparent short distance away, is what appears to be a large, freestanding doorway containing a closed set of double doors.

Lots of moon iconography covers it's surface...though ocassionally between blinks there are occasional flashes where it looks like it's got large soot stains surrounding what must be panels.

The 'damaged' appearance never lasts for long, however.

Standing before the doorway, as if guarding it, is what must be Nurse Meiou...except she's dressed in an outfit that's seemingly based heavily on Sailor Moon's.

The shoulders are slightly different...hers don't have the little ridged collar, plus the bows at her front and lower back are brown, with a large garnet in place of Moon's brooch in the middle of the bow on her chest.

Finally, her scarf, boots (with 3 inch heels), skirt, and the ribs at the end of her otherwise white nearly elbow length gloves are a deep, midnight black.

A small chain at her waist has four differently-shaped keys on it, and she holds in her hands a long staff with a massive spherical garnet at the top and a heart-shaped 'ring' around and over it.

With the flanges that stick off to the side in several places, from a distance it looks like a truly oversized key.

As she is approached, Nurse Meiou levels the ring end of her staff at the approaching duo as if leveling a weapon and opens her mouth to say something...

...and then she blinks several times as her eyes focus a bit more obviously on Emi.

Apparently, she needed EXCEEDINGLY little push to enter a lucid state.

The taller woman takes a moment to glance about, then she turns back to Emi, "Well, then, Miss Hoshino. Welcome to what must be my Dreamscape."
Emi Hoshino "A featureless white void. Very cool. Don't see too many of these," says Emi, glancing up and around. She has seen a *lot* of dreams, after all. A brief shadow falls over her face. The memory of the last time she saw something like this must not be a pleasant one. The uniform draws a curious once over. Amy had implied that there was some kind of collective whole that referred to Sailor Moon and her friends. The evident similarities speak to that. She shrugs, rousing her from her sleep into a lucid state, and then tilts her head at her.

Here, Emi is more clearly a magical girl, now that Setsuna can see it. In a sense, it's like seeing the *real* her for the first time. Her gothic garb is even mroe elegant, even more flowing and soft. The ruffles occasionally even seem to shift and whisper like spidersilk. The giant spider, KenKen, rests on her shoulder. Easily fitting in someone's palm, should they want to measure it, with it legs dangling over the edge of the hand. It wiggles its forelegs in Setsuna's direction, echoing the greeting Emi gives shortly thereafter. "Fancy meeting you here, Nurse," she says in her typically informal manner. Such a rebel, that Emi.

"Yeah, this is your dreamscape, all right. Do you typically dream in such a ...focused manner?" She moves towards the door. "I bet this door might actually lead you to the proper dreamscape beyond, actually. One of the more common shapes it can take. Have you ever tried to go through in your dreams before? I'm going to ... guess not."

Really, there's a *lot* she can presume about what all this might mean. A singular focus to the exclusion of all else.

".. but that can wait for another time. How do you feel? Lighter, right? Kind of ... yourself but not fully yourself, right?"
Setsuna Meiou A small wave is returned to Emi's spider companion, and she gives a small smile, "Greetings to you as well. And what might your name be? If Miss Hoshino has mentioned it, I'm afraid I do not recall it at this moment."

The comment about the 'door', however, causes Setsuna turns and looks over her shoulder at said doorway, "...not so much...but this is a place that I have spent..."

She trails off for a moment before shrugging and continuing, "...a very, very, very large amount of time in. Until recently, almost all of my memories take place here."

The comment about passing through the doors, however, gets her to scowl, "...as for going through them? I'm less certain that's a good idea...since doing so in the real world was itself forbidden...until very recently...and since then, going through them would be an INCREDIBLY unwise idea, lest one fall prey to Huginn and/or Munin."

As Emi asks how she feels, Setsuna looks at her gloved hands and begins absently opening and closing them before twisting this way and that, seemingly inspecting herself and confirming that her costume looks the way it should, "...yes. I've lucid dreamt before, but this feels somewhat different than that...more...real and at the same time NOT...which I suppose makes as much sense as a dream DOES."
Emi Hoshino "... well okay that's a bit weird," says Emi of her description of her own memories. She doesn't really know what to make of it, and it seems like it'd be rude to pry. Being in someone's dream is already pretty invasive to begin with. "Do you know how to change it?" she asks, "or have you never done something like that in your own dream?" She puts her hands on her hips. "I mean, if it's got a connection to something, and I'm wagering it might, then yeah, let's not. But often times, the border to the actual dreamscape *is* characterized that way. A long hallway you're always running down, a door you're afraid to go through, a set of stairs that seem endless. It's how we protect ourselves from going to the dreamscape on accident. So ... a door you're unwilling to cross would be the perfect mechanism by way of own mind to do tell you not to venture here. But," she continues, "I could, if you want to see it, take you there myself." She holds a hand out to her, her own covered in long black gloves.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna frowms for a few moments as she digests Emi's words, and she absently taps her lips with a gloved finger a few times as she obviously ponders them.

Finally, however, she shakes her head, "While I understand what you're saying, if this is in anyway connected to the REAL Gates of Time, the consequences of opening that door would involve the word 'spaghettification'."

With that perhaps ominous statement, she reaches over and takes Emi's black gloved hand in her own white gloved hand, "...so given that dream manipulation is apparently your stock in trade...I'll be happier to let you take the reins for the moment."
Emi Hoshino "Say what now? Sphagettification? I think I read about that in a book some--- huh. Well. All right. I won't ask how that came to be but that's really weird you realize that, right?" says the girl in sparkly black garb in the middle of a dream with a giant spider on her shoulder, who also wiggles and chitters once before speaking in the cute voice of a young girl itself.

"Hi! I'm KenKen, Emi's bestest friend since we were kids. I used to have such fun make her w--"

"KENKEN," says Emi, loudly.

"You'll have to forgive her. She used to be a Nightmare and sometimes she likes to remind me about that fact directly. If you say ONE MORE WORD, KenKen, I am going to put you under a pillow cushion and let people sit on you."

"AWwww," says the spider.

But then there is a broad smile from her towards Setsuna before she gives her a sharp pull. The world seems to shift, and they find themselves on a beach. The black sands. The crystals, the shimmering beauty of the auroras and their reflection on the waves and, of course...

... another door.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna raises a hand to cover a giggle at the byplay between Emi and KenKen, but her eyes clearly convey her amusement.

As she gets pulled somewhere else, the taller woman blinks once, then looks around at the beach and the black sand underfoot.

She spends quite a few moments taking in the scenery...and then she notices the door...at which point the nurse gives a small snort, "...ah, the psychology of doors."

She looks over at her guide, "...I rather imagine that doors are something of a steady fixture in your nocturnal adventures, aren't they?"
Emi Hoshino "They're a frequent feature of liminal spaces like this," says Emi.

"This is my dreamscape, but not my dream proper. This is a sort of ephemeral border, where my dream and the dreamscape beyond blend together. I played too much Death Stranding, I guess." She kicks at the sand lightly then walks towards the ocean, stepping onto the waves unperturbed by their passage, and stilling them in her wake.

"Come on in, the water is fine, see?" She gestures at it below her. "Nightmares or nightmare energy can sometimes prowl this space. It's always looking for a way into a dreamer's space so that it can bring its special brand of trauma, or gain a shape and a will from your dream in the first place." She moves up to the door, then, and lays a hand on it.

"However, we're connected to the academy dreamscape, and while it is *not* free of nightmares trying to get in, I make sure that they know that they aren't welcome."
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna follows along, playing with the shallow 'water' and it's interactions and lack thereof with her feet touching it.

Meanwhile, she seems to be paying a certain amount of attention to the younger woman's description, and when Emi steps over to the door and lays her hand on it, Setsuna follows along.

Her comment about the Academy's dreamscape gets a small frown before she sighs and shakes her head, "...well, THAT'S one thing to make a note of, then...adding something to the campus' ward scheme to help keep random nightmares out...though given how intrinsic they are to to dreaming and the human condition, I imagine keeping them out entirely is likely not possible...we might be able to make things a bit easier on you on campus, at least."

She shrugs, "It's something to look into, at least."
Emi Hoshino "Whatever protections you have in the real don't apply to the dreamscape, at least not completely. It's likely that one of the reasons its so pristine is because of that, though," admits Emi. "Sometimes, someone will just give rise to nightmare energy. Other times, they'll find a way to connect with someone beyond the academy grounds and hitch a ride through. It's not *likely*, but it does happen. Like with Hinoiri, she was on Academy grounds, but the Salarymen were in her dream anyway. They found a way in through a connection they made through her beyond this place, in the dreamscape, when I took her there and they about made her heart run down from the stress: their specialty." She slumps her shoulders a little, clearly bearing some responsibility for it in her own mind despite the assurances she has received.

"...which reminds me. I need to pay a visit to GoetheGirl -- I mean Amy. She was hurt in the fight with the Salarymen, and I thought maybe it might prove instructive, since, well..."

Since Setsuna will probably see a bunch more of this, particularly from Emi. Such is dream warrior life.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna nods, "...well, I DO recall that some shaman were supposed to be able to ward against bad dreams."

She shrugs, "...but you're the expert here and I imagine a good chunk of any positive results they got could have been from the placebo effect."

When Emi mentions Amy, however, Setsuna blinks, "Amy-chan? Well, by all means, let's go see her..."

She then frowns slightly in thought, "...also...I have an idea I'd like to test once we've found her..."

She looks at the door, "...though I imagine that going through there will probably be required one way or other..."
Emi Hoshino "Hard to say," admits Emi, "In the long run, there's no actual perfect defense, I think, given that they can come from inside you in the first place. Anyone can have enough bad days where their dreams can turn sour and produce negativity instead. Light and darkness can exist in each soul in equal measure, after all, and be expressed through dreams in the same way."

Emi studies the door for a moment. "Yeah. Let's go get Amy. I'm going to take you to the Academy dreamscape, let you wait there while I go fetch her. Most people, aside from Mamoru, won't be likely to be able to make it through the border. It's ... difficult. It was even difficult for me at first, and this is my jam." She knocks on the door once and then swings it open. Nonsensically, the other side is courtyard full of chery blossoms and grace with a silvery moon shining down on it brightly amongst the great many other stars in the sky. It is .. beautiful, in a way that's hard to describe. It conveys a sense of peace and warmth, like a manifestation of the love in the hearts of its many mahou.

"Come, then," she tells her, giving her hand another gentle tug and then...

Once again, Setsuna will feel a change. Here, she feels even *more* solid than she did in either her or Emi's dreamscape. There's still a palpable unreality to it, a feeling of all-too-lightness, but there's also a sense of a different set of rules snapping into place, even when one doesn't know what they are. She is more 'herself'.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna nods as she steps through into the courtyard...and she blinks...once again waving her hands a little as she explores the slightly different...feel to this place.

She then looks over at Emi and makes a slight 'shooing' motion with one hand, "Go ahead and get Amy-chan, then. I'll stay right here."

And with that, she begins reaching out to catch falling cherry blossoms...experimenting with them and how she interacts with them here in the dream.
Emi Hoshino They shimmer in Setsuna's grasp, moving erratically and impossibly across the sky and around her, making chasing them almost impossible at best. Emi smiles at her and then ...

...she's gone.

She could tell Amy was asleep, after all, after school and it must have been a tiring day for her. Soon, she's crossed the border to retrieve one Ms. Faust, tapping her on the forehead to wake her into the dream, taking her hand, and leading her away back through it to the courtyard. She tries not to observe Amy's dream too much, though it's impossible for her to miss it. She just ... doesn't want to pry. Going to someone's dream without explicit permission, unmless its part of her job, is definitely something she prefers to avoid.
Amy Faust     Emi steps into... a school? It's not Radiant Heart, although the kids are in the right uniforms. A bunch of kindergarteners, or maybe first-graders, are having an absolute blast ramming wheeled office chairs covered in cardboard and lego to look like tanks into eachother.

IT MAKES SENSE IN DREAM CONTEXT I SWEAR

    You see...

A little while ago, Amy felt uncharacteristically tired early in the evening and decided to just lay down for a bit.

The next thing Mallory knew, he'd hit a magical girl with his car while driving his friend and coworker (made up by the dream) home from work (ditto). Two talking plushies explained magical girls work on Santa Clause rules and there was some videogame stuff and the mascots messed up and accidentally made Amy like 6 and her friend part hellhound youma and they lost a fight and Amy woke up--

--at Mamoru's, still a kid, and Usagi and Mamoru suggested this is an opportunity to go to school with Chibi and try to find Masquerade Lapine's civilian identity before the Black Moon Clan does.

There was also a bit with part-dog-friend sitting in a 'free to a good home' box. Entrapta took the box and said she would give it an excellent home.

Anyway, they get to class and Amy is dreading having to go to kindergarten but it turns out to be some kind of craft/event day where they make office chairs into cardboard tanks and have a tournament in the halls of Radiant Heart to see who's last standing and actually it's really fun! Also the part-dog friend is there as the class pet and Emily is driving one of the chair-tanks with Entrapta cheering it on ("She's only a month old but she reads at a kindergarten level, so she can compete!")

So it is that kid-Amy looks up at Emi in extreme confusion as she's pulled away from her cardboard tank, it's kind of... an adjustment to go from that to thinking about being in a dream.

"Wait, ''WHAT?!'' That was..." kid-Amy looks back in the direction they came from as she's led to the courtyard. "Okay I guess it being a dream is more probable than all of that happening, but... it seemed so real..."
Emi Hoshino "Dreams often do. It's good when it does, though. It means you're more tightly aligned with the dream and you'll find it easier to lucid dream when you get there," says Emi to Amy, casually, "Also, you make an adorable kindergardener. You might wanna fix that, tohugh, we're on our way to see Nurse Meiou. She's in the courtyward waiting for us." And sure enough, she will find that to be true when Emi delivers.
Amy Faust     "Hang on, that was... I should... I should write this dream down, it was really weird..." She reaches into her uniform's pockets, "Ack, my stuff's all in my bag back in..." She shakes her head a little.

    "Right. Dream."

At the invitation to change, one, she ''said'' she had trouble doing that on purpose, but also, "Eh, it's only fair, she should at least get to see." Which is a sentence that makes NO sense, did she lose lucidity?

And that's when they walk into the courtyard and Amy's eyes widen a little as she looks UP at Setsuna, now incredibly tall by comparison. Is this how Chibiusa sees tall people?! And then she breaks into a grin and waves, "Hi, Setsu-chan! I guess it's my turn today, huh? So what kinda dream were ''you'' having? I had, uh... where do I even start... I hit a magical girl with my car, and-- wait no that makes it sound dark it was actually really wacky, I mean, I guess the start WAS dark but my friend was a dog-girl and we were gonna find Masquerade Lapine and there were cardboard bumper tanks..."
Setsuna Meiou At the sound of Amy's voice, Setsuna looks over...and ends up having to look rather further down than she's used to to get a good look at the redhead.

At which point she promptly covers her mouth with one hand to conceal the grin on her lips.

The slight scrunching of her eyes, however, is a bit of a giveaway that she's grinning fit to burst.

After a few moments, however, she manages to school her expression and says, "Hello, Amy-chan. To answer your question, I didn't really have much of a dream. I went to sleep in the infirmary with Miss Hoshino there and she stepped right into my dream at the Gates and brought me here so I can see what injuries in the dream look like. I'm told you still have some that we can look at..."

She then looks at Emi, "...I also have something I want to try when we're ready."
Emi Hoshino "You were hurt," agrees Emi to Amy, "While Mamoru might've fixed some of it..."

She folds her arms across her chest, "Also, I can confirm everything she said about her dream, Setsuna." Solemn. Nod.

"Given the way everything turned out last time and how all you woke up, I thought it'd be best to work with Setsuna to figure out how we can, you know, like ... mitigate some of that shit, I guess. It's always going to be a risk, because we're pushing more of our 'real' selves into the dream and shit but well... you know. I don't know how ti works, just that it does."

KenKen pounces onto Amy's head immediately thereafter.
Amy Faust     Setsuna is smiling, and Amy does a twirl. She's almost bursting into laughter ''herself'' at realizing how much she sounds like a little kid incoherently telling a story, it's not her fault dreams are so nonsense!

Dream injuries? She looks up at Emi. "How's that work? I thought my real body took the damage instead, and I don't... ''feel'' injured." Or is it only not until she becomes aware of it?

She does reach up to gently pet KenKen atop her head.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna begins walking from the courtyard towards the administrative wing in the dreamscape, "Well, for one, I'd like to see what that looks like here in the dream and..."

She smiles, "...I have a bit of an idea."

And as she finishes speaking, the group is already in front of the door in question.

Dream Logic.

As they arrive, however, Setsuna holds out a hand in the 'STOP' gesture at the other two and puts her other hand on the doorway, closing her eyes.

She takes a moment to use the fact that she's lucid dreaming and thus has some limited control over her dream along with the transition that will come from stepping through a doorway.

After a moment's consideration, she realizes that if this works, Amy's presence will actually HELP by reinforcing things.

She smiles, then turns to the other two and winks, then knocks on the door...and instead of opening the normal way, it instead splits down the middle and opens with a characteristic 'whoosh' sound that will likely be VERY familiar to the redhead.

And beyond, the Infirmary seems to have gotten rather an upgrade to what Amy will almost certainly recognize as a Starfleet sickbay, "THERE we go..."
Emi Hoshino "Well, you did feel some of the impact when you got hurt int he first place, right?" says Emi to Amy, "Just because it applies to you in the real world doesn't mean you don't -- right. You can turn off pain, right? So you wouldn't have? That might actually be a problem in dreams," she muses, "because pain significant enough is one of the things that can wake you up if you're getting in trouble. So we were hoping to," she continues as Setsuna leads them along.

"...huh. Did you will this?" she says, as the more science-fiction elements become apparenty in the infirmary. "What even is this?" She asks. She's not a Star Trek girl.

"This must be part of your border, where your door goes to -- or at least *a* door. If it's not that door, it might well be that you'll need to conceptualize something out of the void for it later..."

She moves through it. "Ah, yeah. So -- the dreamscape. Everyone has a space where the dream connects to the dreamer. You've only ever seen it from one side, this mgiht well be the other." She turns towards Setsuna, excited. "That's SO COOL!"
Amy Faust     As they walk to the infirmary, Amy answers Emi, shaking her head, "It's not automatic unless I'm hurt ''really'' badly... I have to will it. It... did hurt. But that was weeks ago. Mamoru healed me at that... island place?" She shakes her head. "Wait, no, he healed me, or at least healed me well enough to move after we woke up, and then fixed me the rest of the wayt later that morning, remember?"

"Am I going to need to wake up on purpose? Willing myself to wake up ''usually'' works. I could try to transform, since that works too. I once saw a theory that if you held your breath, you'd wake up, and I can understand ''why'' but the idea of trying it... worries me."

She frowns. "I actually have no idea if I can turn off pain. I mean, either I'm not transformed in here, and my dream body is being hurt so I can feel dream pain, or I'm transformed ''in here'', which means my ''real'' body is being hurt, and it's ''not'' transformed so can I turn off pain as well there..."

And then Setsuna's signaling them to stop, and Amy looks at her curiously and

    The door whooshes!

Her eyes go wide as she runs into sickbay, looking around at everything. Seeing if there are any screens showing space outside, or doors to other rooms of the ship. "Oh that is ''so cool!''" she says, in sync with Emi!
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna smiles and looks around, "...I was HOPING this would work...and, yeah. I kind of willed this a little. I've lucid dreamed before, even if it's been a while, so I know you can exert at least a little control when you're doing so..."

She then waves around at the Sickbay, "...there's stuff in here that's supposed to be able to help treat injuries FAR better than we can...while I don't imagine we can just un-do damage taken in a dream, I'm wondering if we can't use some of the stuff in here to leverage that force that transmits wounds to maybe help heal us afterwards."

She shrugs, "...at the VERY least, I'm hoping stuff like the dermal regenerator works so that our magical healers have to heal as little as they can get away with."

Sadly, there are no windows out showing space going by, as none of the Sickbays in Trek shows have external windows.
Emi Hoshino "... huh. That really does complicate matters," muses Emi to Amy, curiously, "It might be worth trying to do some experiments to find out. We know that if it gets through to you, it hurts, but the whole weirdness with your ability to turn off pain could be real issue, possibly," she admits, "I don't know the answer to any of that. There's so many permutations and complexities and possiblities and I'm way not smart enough to figure them out. Which is one of the reasons I invited you and Setsuna together. You've *been* hurt here. So have I. I thought, maybe, we could see if we can figure out how best to make things ... less painful for everyone next slumber party."

Because she has, in fact, asked Usagi to plan one.

Setsuna has probably heard about it.

"We've got a *lot* of unknowns here. All I've been trying to do is piecemail this sutff."

KenKen casujally puts herself on Amy's soulder, vibrating. Is that .. purring?

Not *exactly*, but it s a kind of it rooted in the vibrations of her hairs and the shivering of her limbs, lidless eyes staring at Setsuna. It might be creepy.
Amy Faust     Amy considers all this. "So your hope is we can use dream-stuff to undo the damage to our real bodies?" She smiles at the 'purring' and pets KenKen gently.

"But I thought it didn't work that way. Like, you said we can't just will ourselves to fly or do lucid tricks like this," She waves at the sickbay around them, "in the dreamscape, we need to use magic. ''Real'' magic. Then again..."

She furrows her brow in thought, and it may well be that ''every'' expression is cuter when it's on a kindergartener. "Akemi-san imagined up loads of weapons; ''I'' imagined up armor beyond what my costume magic can do, although it didn't actually protect me from damage... and when I woke up my soul gem wasn't drained, and even though I held myself back to weaker attacks, with how mich fighting I had to do in there it ''should've'' costed more, like when I fought the nightmare at the subway."

She's started trying to climb up onto the patient slab, and eventually jumps to-- almost! She jumps again, swinging a leg up onto it, and is able to scootch the rest of the way on from there.

"Does it matter that my real body is the soul gem? The human body's just a puppet I remote-control that ''feels'' like I'm in it the usual way. Or does that just add another level of 'who the fuck knows how this all interacts' to it?"

She looks up at them curiously, sitting on the edge of the patient slab and kicking her feet idly.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna picks up a dermal regenerator, "...less 'undo' and more 'speed healing'."

She shrugs, "I've little hope THIS kind of thing can just make our injuries go away..."

She trails off a little, then goes on, "...BUT...if the magic of the dreamscape transfers injuries to HURT us...then maybe we can use some of that magic to transfer some healing to HELP us."

She shrugs, "I doubt it's going to be a heal like what Endymion can do...but even if it's just using dream magic to seal up our cuts and scrapes, that's less he and the others have to do."

She waves a hand, "Clearly, there is some level of lifting that the Dream itself is doing...how much, and how effective? That's worth finding out."

She then looks over at Amy on the bed, then over at Emi, "...though Amy's right...she might not be the best choice to find out...unless either of you has a cut or scrape left open that you know of for me to test sealing it?"
Emi Hoshino "It doesn't," says Emi to Amy, "but does it -actually- not work that way? Or is that just what my own experience has taught me? Now that other people are here, there's ways to verify it, and I don't want you all just going off what I say. There's also permutations we can't even begin to contemplate. What happens if you're with me, but in your own dream, and get hurt. Do you get hurt more? Less? What happens if you try to heal yourself in your own dreamscape? Can you? Does it work? I *don't think so*. Experience tells me otherwise. But I think any good science oriented person," a significant look given to Amy, "tells me we can't just assume my perceptions are the sum of everyting. And what I'm telling you may *well shape and limit the possible* in the first place, because I may inherently be impacting your perception of your capabilities in the dream world."

Emi crosses her arms across her chest, glancing towards Setsuna. "... so I figured we might as well start with the most urgent issue. I did *not* like how all of you were feeling like me the next day -- and I don't think we can afford to potentially have a bunch of people wind up *like* me, Mamoru or no Mamoru."
Emi Hoshino Also, Emi is trying REALLY hard to keep her face serious after Amy said 'costed'.

It is incredibly difficult.
Amy Faust     Amy nods enthusiastically as the others explain how there is so much DREAM SCIENCE to do! "Well count me in for helping with any dream experiments you wanna do! Heck, if we need to, for a quick test you can scratch me," She holds out her arm, "I can heal scratches pretty easily."

She cocks her head to one side and holds her finger to her chin. "Wait, didn't I get destroyed by a monster? I guess that didn't actually happen, I woke up before it did... ah! I woke up because I felt Anko's claws poking me! She wanted food! Maybe that broke the skin?"

She takes off her blazer and pulls up her blouse sleeves to look for marks.

"Wait... that was a fake awakening... none of that actually happened... but we're testing dream stuff anyway... Guh, it's hard ta figure out what to test... we can't exactly write down tha exact details of experiments ta try an' 'en read 'em inside the dream..." She tries to force herself to think, amongst the dream starting to reassert itself and confuse her about what's real.
Emi Hoshino "You realize," says Emi to Amy, "that all I know is that you got hurt and someone managed to manifest a helicopter? Like what even happened. I'm probably better off not knowing, I was just glad to reach Hinoiri and get her out of there." She lets out a sigh.

"...even if she is a unicorn," she mutters under hjer breath.

She starts looking around for a moment, turns to Setsuna, smiles, and whispers something to her before reaching around onto the desk behind her and grabs something she conceals in her hand.

...before presenting it to Amy. A big, bright, shiny, red, lollipop.

"Who's been SUCH a big girl," she tells her, deep amusement creeping into her tone.
Amy Faust     Amy realizes she forgot to actually tell Emi what happened. "I did write it all down-- wait, what's wrong with unicorns? I went to KiraKiraFantastica and ''I'm'' a unicorn there!" She ''pouts'' at Emi judgementally. ''Pouts!''

And then her eyes go wide at the lollipop and she ''beams.'' It 1. has been ''so'' many years since she got this treatment at the doctor's office and 2. the exageratedly-big lollipop is ''even bigger'' when you're 6.

She grabs it and right into her mouth it goes. "Dang straight I have been." she says around it, although it comes out as 'Ang straigh' I ha-en.'

    "Ooh, strawberry..."
