Entrapta A single rose rests, suspended, in a field of some sort. It glows very slightly, and the systems holding it seem to be crystalline in nature. Nearby Entrapta sits in her chair, talking into a recorder. She seems animated, if deep in thought.

"New file. Recent tests have proven my growth theory, specifically that magic types have individual styles of growth. Most recently the curses in test ten have not shown any reaction, but others are showing enough relative systems to be able to state for the record that they have a crystalline growth pattern!"

"Given how Etherian magic is also crystal in nature, this is very exciting! The plant given to me by the Tuxedo person has a definite functional crystal structure in its magic, if not in its physical self, but it can clearly be deciphered as a living system which builds on previous patterns in mathematically predictable forms!"

"There have been other reactions like this. See subsections eight and five. There can be no doubt in my mind at this point, though. Etherian magic was artificially halted in its growth at some point in our history, keeping it from being able to evolve. Fascinating results, perhaps someday we can find a way to unlock whatever is sealing them from joining the other types of magic in the universe!"

She rubs her chin with her recorder, looking up at the rose. So much information, so little real data. And yet, there is progress
Hinote Kagari Hinote Kagari, enters the shed. Following him are two tiny figures, chara fairys no more than half a ruler tall. One appears to be a detective in a mer-mystery, replete with yellow fedora and trenhcoat. The other appears to be a tiny angel, complete with halo and wings. The two enter and-- completely ignore the figure perhaps on the other side of the room.

He instead starts writing on the blackboard. Maybe he missed something last night. He starts drawing boxes, X's on the board. Some sort of pylon like tower. Some sort of circle on the other side of it. He starts drawing lines between X's. He seems lost in thought. He's babbling to himself.

"Maybe... she got out. And is on the beach somewhere...." he says, drawing a new X with an arrow onto the beach. He winces at himself and erases those lines. He seems to think hard. He knows what he saw, what his detective senses picked up. She was in there.

The detective fairy and the angel fairy look to one another "Hinote-kun." says the tiny angel fair. "I'm sorry..." and Tracy grab onto Hinote's shoulders and drag him away from the board and into a chair and start wrapping him up. The detective fairy says, "This is for your own good. I think Rashmi-chan will kill us if we start a conspiracy board over this!"

She might!

She might!
Entrapta Ah, a fellow researcher! Entrapta looks up as someone goes past, pausing her recording. She is not exactly the best at talking to people, so she just lets her chair spin out it's momentum. And watches the process of what's being done on the blackboard.

Pulling out her pad, she starts to sketch the little faeries that she can see. They're quite interesting, and unique! She wonders if they're related to the Pretty Cure ones.

Not 100% certain of the situation, Entrapta has a vague idea that there might be something that's gone wrong. The little fliers are acting in appropriate patterns for such. Her eyes look left, and she knows that she's got snacks. So...

"Tiny snacks?" she says, offering the human-ish one something pastrylike. She figures it'll help, tiny snacks always help. "Also I don't think Rashmi will kill you. She's not even here."
Hinote Kagari Hinote Kagari looks at the detective. "Tracy. You know I don't do those alone, you always Chara Change with me and MAKE me do those!" he says with frustration. "And El?" he says to the angel. "...thanks." he says as he tries to calm down, okay, he'll accept being tied to the chair for now. Maybe he needs time to just finally process things.

Molly is gone and there's very little they can do about it- and then. Oh there's someone in here? Well that's embarrassing as hell.

"...I'm a little tied up at the moment." he says. "But I'm sure these two would appreciate the snacks." he says. Tracy and El both nods their head and accept tiny snacks. Snacks their size!? Amazing.

"...I'm Hinote Kagari. I think we met once before....didn't we?" pause. "Well. Pulp Noir met you." he says. "Briefly."
Entrapta Frown. "I don't recall that," the purplette says. She does give the littles some snacks, mostly donut holes since she wasn't prepared for company. Stuff you can nom in a single bite, if you're so inclined. "But I don't memorize names in general. They're unnecessary memory space better used for more valuable materials."

Still, she shrugs it off and glances to the ties. "I can figure out how to untie you if you like. It's a fairly standard configuration, given how few possibilities there really are for these things." She glances at the faeries again, then nods with confusion. "Why did they tie you up? Hello there."

She begins to remove her gloves, to give herself some more digital dexterity.
Hinote Kagari Hinote Kagari frowns. "If I transformed you'd probably remember." he says. Tracy blinks and raises a magnifying glass and says. "I tied that up proper, you're not undoing it.". El nods. "Hinote-kun needs a break." she says. El floats up to Entrapta and whispers. 'One of his friends probably died last night, trying to save everyone at the Beach...' she says. 'He needs a break.'. And Then El floats back near Hinote.

"Right this is Tracy, My Guardian Chara." he waves. "-and this is El, one of my ex-girlfriend's Guardian Chara who is helping me figure out some mystery." he says.

"I'm kind of a detective." he says. "And yeah leave me tied up. Things can just kind of happen sometimes..." he says lowly. "...and it's for the best I'm tied up for the moment."

"Yeah we'll untie him when he's had a think and comes around." says Tracy.
Entrapta Oh. Someone died. She's certain that that should have an effect on a person's psyche, so Entrapta nods to the little flier and forestalls her attempt to undo bindings. Her gaze says that she could have figured it out eventually, though.

"Well, if you insist. I'll go back to my research, then." She looks hesitant, then shrugs and hops back into her chair. And picks up her recorder, beginning to record again as if she'd not been interrupted. "Help yourself to snacks. No, don't record that. Magical research continues, Rashmi's communications device roughly half completed. Still requires...checking."

She pauses, calling up a list. "Hey, did you call them Chara? You're on my research list, people I still need to interview for the work. You wouldn't mind me asking you a few questions would you? Great!"

Wait what?

"I have a list of things I need to cover, and since you're not going anywhere.."
Hinote Kagari Hinote Kagari isn't going anywhere fast and considers the question. He goes to answer 'No'. He doesn't feel like it right now.

"Of course!" say Tracy and El in unison. He's been outvoted. Oh well. Maybe this will distract him anyways.

"Alright." says Hinote. "Go ahead and ask." he says.

"What did you wanna know?"
Entrapta Entrapta beams. "So glad you could help, there's so much work still to do and I put out the call far too many days ago now. Let's see. Hm." She pauses, looking at her list. "Is there a cool history for your group? Something that made it into what it is today? I find that a system's historical roots is often useful in figuring out how it works, and it's just good to have down in general."

She pauses, then says, "You're not a Pretty Cure are you? I keep getting people showing up from that group and I've already got all the data I need from them." Never too much data, Entrapta. Yes, I know, but still.
Hinote Kagari Hinote Kagari closes his eyes and starts repeating what he's been told. He remembers the storybook Tadase showed him. "No. We're not Pretty Cure. We're called Chara Bearers. See..."

"Inside everyone is a Heart Egg, that contains your dreams. Those with a strong dream are able to pull that Heart Egg from inside, and hatch their dream. And out of that, comes a Guardian Chara." he nods his head towards Tracy. "That's my Guardian Chara." he says. "I'm investigating magic and all the magical things going on. And I wanna be a detective someday..." he says. "OH Are you researching? Hold on--- in that filing cabinet. I keep my casefiles in the bottom drawer." he says motioning with his head. "You're welcome to go through them. Names of people I've met and my information about them. Different types of magical girls and youma..." he says.
Entrapta Entrapta sits up straighter. "I'M researching magic and all the magical things going on! That'll be very helpful, thank you so much!" She gets up, indicating the filing cabinet, then when indicated in the affirmative, goes to open it.

"I can read this while you're talking, don't worry about me. I remember everything that I put my mind to. You were talking about your group's history?" She pulls out a file, then another, then another. And another. She plans to read it all right now.

"What kind of magic do you use? You can answer too if you want to," she says toward the Chara themselves. "If I can actually see any of it done that'll really help, I'm scanning magical wavelengths so I can tie in a communications device to your style of magic. So you can ...well, communicate with each other."

She isn't looking now, having dug into the files. But she is still here mentally. "Needless to say, with so many different types of magic, that requires at least having seen the magic I'm trying to tie it to. You can't just guess."
