| Chiyo Sakai | Even though Chiyo was of the opinion that 'not cooking in dorms' was silly, she still on occasion indulged in the actual cafteria. It was a good way to expand the palate and NOT have to deal with dishes after! Katsu Curry was on the menu today so she'd loaded her plate up with that, a bit of miso soup on the side, and some hot hojicha tea to warm up further. Settling down in a seat she just... Indulges in the scents a moment with eyes half-shut as if she were recovering from a long, long day already. |
| Rashmi Terios | Of late, Rashmi has been semi-scarce in the dorm room, and a bit distracted when there. The Joker problem resolved with only a moderate amount of horror -- she still hasn't thrown out the It's Food! brand flavor 'enhancers,' largely because she has *no idea* what Medicated Cinnamon Flavor Extract would do to the environment -- but her free time has been a lot of 'staring at schematics on Nicomachea, scribbling in a leather-bound journal, and muttering about mana inverters and charge cycle endurance. But classes must be taken, and even half-asleep Rashmi can power through a civics or history class with only a couple stumbles. Not math, though. Advanced math she will forever be hopeless in. Sliding into a chair across from Chiyo, Rashmi gives her roommate a tired smile of greeting, plonking down her tray bearing a bowl of rice, stir-fried veggies, and yakiniku skewers, and a likewise steaming-hot cup of strong tea. "Heyyyy, Chiyo-chan!" she says, setting the journal down next to her tray and trying very hard not to look at it for now. "How's things, now?" Because of course she noticed the absence of two roommates for even a couple days. She hasn't been *that* deep into the weeds of her own project. |
| Chiyo Sakai | Chiyo Sakai looks up when Rashmi slides in to share a tired smile with her friend, and roommate. Her hand reaches for her chopsticks finally realizing she'll need them to eat in the first place. The food isn't ignored so much as she opts to respond to Rashmi first. "Busy, mostly," she has to admit with a dry chuckle. "The trip to Southern Cross island went well. Since then though?" Here she pauses with a little grimace. "Sugata-kun is using the fact that I get up as early as Wako-chan to try and drag me into his training sessions with Takuto-kun." Here her voice drops in a hissed whisper, "I don't know how to use a sword! It's so much easier to hammer things!" |
| Rashmi Terios | "Oh so it's like me when Chrono started training me," Rashmi chuckles. "Apparently when you're talking about combat training, it's supposed to be *harder* than real life, so... Welcome to the 'oh god why does it have to be so awful' club." Grinning, the redhead leans over to mirror Chiyo's whisper. "You're darn sure gonna know how to use one soon. *And* how to avoid one! Probably mostly that." |
| Chiyo Sakai | Chiyo Sakai sits back with a heavy sigh as she gestures vaguely with the chopsticks in the air. Not rudely. Just immitating some sword movement or another no doubt. "Oh I'm sure I will. I should ask Philip to help, he used a sword too. Takuto-kun's not so bad, he takes it easy on me, but Sugata-kun..." Her eyes slip out of focus a moment as if she were hearing something just beyond the table. It's a look that Wako sometimes has as well. A quick shake of her head later, and she looks back to her tray of food. "It's not so bad, and I do need to learn, but it's so early. I'd rather just workout in the morning and then learn when I'm more awake." Pounding mochi in the morning didn't take a lot of mental awakeness. "How about you? How are you doing?" |
| Rashmi Terios | It's a look that Rashmi knows well; she gets something similar when communing with Nicomachea, and the thought brings a wry smile to her face. "Your Cybody's got an opinion on the whole arrangement?" she chuckles, turning her tray to offer her roommate a yakiniku skewer. "I'm doing... pretty okay? Chrono gave me a project that is just eating up my entire brain, but it kind of has to if I want to do it right. Basically, he came up with a way for me to qualify as a Device mechanic... I just have to strip down Nicomachea, give him an upgrade, and stress-test him in the field. If he breaks, I fail." Rashmi lays a hand on the journal, and flips it open to a random page. The writing within is dense, slightly eye-twisting technical specs and sketches of what must be absolutely *miniscule* parts. "...As you can see, I really, *really* don't want to fail. And I'm almost ready, I think to start the actual physical work, which is gonna be nerve-wracking" |
| Mamoru Chiba | Sometimes Mamoru's in the cafeteria for lunch, sometimes he's not, but even now that he lives offcampus and Makoto's making him frozen meals of deliciousness so that he actually eats real food, sometimes the cafeteria has croquettes. On his tray right now are, in fact, croquettes. Also onigiri and hot chocolate and a big bowl of chocolate pudding. There are reasons Makoto makes sure he eats real food. He is, of course, in uniform, and his glasses are mostly clean. "Hey you two. What's nerve-wracking?" he asks cheerfully. So cheerfully. Suspiciously cheerfully. |
| Chiyo Sakai | Caught. Called out by Rashmi after Reshball had spoken to her, Chiyo finds herself turning a little red in embarassment. It was something she was still getting used to. "Yeah. Reshbal says they're both good teachers but that Sugata would likely make sure I know enough to not die--But that Takuto was still the superior fighter." "Reshball has a lot of opinions honestly." It's her turn to go quiet as she listens to Rashmi. A bite of katsu is taken, and she sips at her tea to warm up a bit. When Mamoru appears to join them she flashes a smile. "Mamoru-kun! Good to see you. You seem to be in a really good mood." Then again there were croquettes. That was a good reason to be happy. "Rashmi was just telling me what she's been up to." |
| Rashmi Terios | "Meister qualifications," Rashmi groans as Mamoru plonks himself and his snack lunch down. "Chrono, my dear, beloved, tyrant of an Enforcer, figured out a way to test me on my Device-construction knowledge that would... sort of jump me past the years of schooling and practical testing by a panel of professors. Take Nicomachea apart, *upgrade him,* reassemble, and then... stress-test in the field without *breaking* him. Which, I mean... *yeah,* that would prove my skills better than anything, but uh... yeah. Nerve-wracking." Sighing, she starts cronching on her veggies, saving the skewers for when she's in better spirits; between Chiyo and Mamoru, it's *gonna* happen before she's done eating. "Also, Reshbal's his name, huh? Good to notionally meet you, Reshbal-san! Take good care of my friend, okay?" ...Dealing with an Intelligent Device in your head day in and day out gives one... an interesting perspective on alien machines that talk into your mind. Namely, that one's as good as any other. |
| Mamoru Chiba | "Oh if you don't know why I'm in a good mood, you should text Usako and ask her~" Mamoru practically singsongs, sliding himself into a seat at the table. "I should NOT be the one to tell you first~" But he gives Rashmi the MOST sympathetic look. "Nicomachea... I'm sure Nicomachea believes in you," he says, and there COULD be an element of sweatdrop there, but halfway through he rallies and gives Rashmi a firm look. "And I definitely believe in you." He eyes Chiyo for a moment. "Reshbal?" he asks, not having much context, and he looks around Chiyo for a second, and he looks momentarily baffled. "Do you have an invisible mascot?" |
| Chrono Harlaown | Speek of the tyrant of an enforcer, he came walking into the cafeteria. Looking fresh as a daisy, as if he just cleaned up... Which, admittedly, he had. After his morning PT there was always the need to clean up, wipe away sweat, all of that. And now that he was in uniform, he came by with intentions. Terrible intentions. One of which involved seeing his girlfriend. He walked up, silent as a ghost before... "Morning, Rashmi," he said before leaning in and kissing the side of her cheek. "Studying hard?" he asked before taking a seat by her. A keen eye might notice the only breakfast he had was sugar for his girlfriend and that he had, in fact... only come to the cafeteria because he had desired to be near her. Oh, wait, no, he had an orange which he was in the middle of peeling now. So maybe he had snagged something from the cafeteria food, but other than that... "So, what are todays existential trials and tribulations?" he asked in what could almost be considered a 'perky' voice. And for those curious, yes. He had pinged Nicomedia's location in order to know where Rashmi was. |
| Usagi Tsukino | The cafeteria is - well, it's a normal amount of busy, but maybe there's something in the air, because soon after she was mentioned, the aforementioned Usagi Tsukino comes floating over! She's in her school uniform of course, her compact cheerfully placed at the center of her bow, and with a tray full of a surprisingly balanced meal - hamburg steak with a heaping pile of rice and pickled vegetables, some miso soup, and a melon soda. She claims the space next to Mamoru and then smiles at everyone. "It feels like it's been ''forever'', but I know it's only been a little bit! How's everyone?" |
| Chiyo Sakai | At Mamoru's question of 'invisible mascot', Chiyo's expression broadens into a wide grin bursting with barely restrained energy as her eyes seem to practically gleam with excitement. Really, someone might have told her she had a future kid with that sort of expression! Before she can properly answer though Chrono sits down as well causing her to nod in greeting to him too. "Reshbal says it's delighted to be out and that you seem like a very honest person." A pause before she adds, "That's really high praise from Resh I think." "Not invisible, Mamoru-kun just not revealed yet I guess? You know Wako-chan, and Sugata-kun? The Star Drivers? We went to their island and I got a cybody of my own, Reshbal." Which meant she *had powers* again! "Usa-chan! What's this big secret of yours, now?" Did her eyes flicker red? Just a bit? |
| Rashmi Terios | "Hey, Chrono," Rashmi sighs, leaning into the kiss, and smooching his cheek in turn. "You could say that... Between the looming threat of end-of-term tests, and *your* little brainstorm, I'm getting maybe three hours' sleep a day? But I'm almost done with the design, just a few little things I need to work out. And I have less of a worry about parts than I thought I was going to have..." As Chiyo lays out that she's gotten her new powers, Rashmi just *grins.* "And I can't wait to see you and Reshbal show them off, soon! It's gonna be a blast!" Which point Usagi joins the table! And Reshbal is not the only one impatient for hot goss, for she spears first Mamoru, then Usagi, with a Look. "Okay so that's *twice* someone has avoided telling me something because it needs to come from you first, Usa-chan. So now you're here... *Spill.* Or I will not be held accountable for my actions." She totally will. But this time she'll feel *vindicated* about them. Which is bad enough. |
| Mamoru Chiba | Mamoru looks, for a split second, like he wants to absolutely devour Usagi, but he gets himself under control very, very quickly. He kisses the side of her head instead. Then, THEN he slaps the table lightly and leans forward a little. "Chiyo-chan that is ''wonderful'' news! I have no idea how Star Drivers work, but it's ''great'' that you get along with your new partner-- can't wait to see you fight!" He's still bubbling; he waves to Chrono (how times have changed), and then looks to Rashmi and immediately looks down to grin at his chocolate pudding. He behaves and has onigiri first, though. "I was good, Usako, I didn't tell them," he says proudly, and his non-sticky hand moves to curl over hers for a moment, and she knows that nonsense-happy joy so well by now... |
| Chrono Harlaown | Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod to Usagi before glancing back towards Chiyo. "I... do not know if I would count as a very honest person, I lie quite frequently." He would say that. "Three hours is hardly enough time, Rashmi," he said firmly. "A soldier must take care of their body as well as their mind. Physical exercise, proper study, rest, nutrition and training. All of these are what is needed of a TSAB soldier. Including a meister," he said, his voice stern. "Oh dear, a secret? Is this a 'the world as we know it' is in danger kind of secret, or 'Chrono is going to be up late filing more reports on how the fabric of reality and magic have been fundamentally altered in a way that boggles the mind' kind of secret?" He then took a piece of his orange and, successfully peeled, tossed it into his mouth. |
| Usagi Tsukino | Usagi, for that same split second, looks perfectly pleased with the suggestion in Mamoru's eyes - then she focuses, looking genuinely delighted for Chiyo. "Ohhh, that's wonderful! Chiyo-chan! You've got powers again, and they're like Wako-chan and Takuto-kuns?! That's ''wonderful''." She is so excited for them - And then her own secret is being pressed, by more than one person, and she blinks at the flash of red in Chiyo's eyes and the excitement in Rashmi's voice, and even Chrono's questions - "Ah, well, it's both I guess, actually? But the more important one is the latter! Because Mamochan let me break the news like a good boy," and she leans up and kisses his cheek, "So I can tell you! That we have undeniable proof that our marriage is blessed and our union is fruitful and ''all my dreams are going to come true''!" Oh she's literally not even trying to play this down, huh? Nope. She is full showboat, full please, boiling over with happiness, and she whips out her phone and pulls out - pictures. Pictures of Chibiusa playing with Luna-P, of Mamoru showing Chibiusa how to maneuver a cape, of Mamoru helping Chibiusa with her snowman, of Mamoru and Chibiusa and Kazuo sitting on the couch together - "Chibiusa is our ''daughter''! From the future of course, but she's ours, and isn't she adorable? Her being such a little brat should have been a sign, me and Mamochan must spoil her exactly as much as she deserves." |
| Chiyo Sakai | Chiyo Sakai knew about ChibiUsa in that she existed. She'd met her as a 'cousin' and it was known she might be an alternate Usagi-chan... Or at least that was the last guess the last she had heard. The news causes her to clap her hands together in front of herself with a squeak of delight and (ignoring the food on the tray in front of her) she stands to LEAN across the table catching Usagi in a hug. "Oh my god that's so awesome congratulations!" Oh of course the congrats is for Mamoru too, but she knows his thing about touching. "And yes, I do, so I can help again and oh, oh! Should I send over some candy for her? I already met her once and I totally should what does she like!?" |
| Rashmi Terios | "Chrono dear you. *Knew.* What you were doing when you asked if I was willing to *risk Nicomachea* to qualify as a Meister," Rashmi begins, voice getting a touch heated. "I'll pay for it late, sure, but I wanna do this *right,* and if I can't learn all this stuff at a *normal* pace, this is what I've got. So you can scold me all you want, *after* I've done." But that heated look lasts about a femtosecond after Usagi reveals the truth of Chibiusa's parentage. Where Chiyo bursts into ebullient congratulations, Rashmi just sort of sits there, processing for a moment. "...Chrono, you remember that girl I told you about, who fell through a portal in Mamo-kun's roof? Her. That's Chibiusa. Who is... your guys'. ... *Daughter.*" Lacing her fingers together, she presses her index finders against her mouth, taking a moment to make this make sense, then cannot help but throw back her head and laugh. "*Come on* you two, can't you do *anything* in order?! Well conditional future congratulations in advance on layaway, I guess! How's she been holding up?" |
| Mamoru Chiba | "Soooo many reports~!" crows Mamoru, agreeing wholeheartedly and taking his ''own'' phone out -- there are a lot of pictures of Usagi and of Kazuo and oh he pulls it back and opens a folder. THERE. Pictures of the same snow party, but it's Usagi and Chibiusa putting roses in snowmen, and Chibiusa cutely sticking her tongue out, and Chibiusa and Usagi, and Chibiusa and Artemis and Luna and Anko, and some winter beach pictures with a whole group of people. "Look, don't you think she looks like both of us? And she's SO smart, and SO brave, and so quick to think of solutions -- even if sometimes they're not the right solutions--" He glances at Usagi's phone and practically gets hearts in eyes. "You got pictures of the cape shenanigans!" he says delightedly. Rashmi's laughing at them, and truly, she deserves to. Hearing something like that? Mamoru looks sheepish for a second. Then he leans forward, eyes wide, and looks to Rashmi. "I almost forgot!! Can five year olds use devices? And also can you make a device ''a cape''?" |
| Chrono Harlaown | Chrono Harlaown blinked a few times and... In Chrono's head: 'Captain Harlaown, we're under attack! It must be a belkan armada! No, wait. It's... it's... it's just one ship. Impossible, it's the size of a moon! Our shields have already started to collapse! We are seeing multiple dimensional collapses across the solar system!' Captain Chrono sighed as he looked over the damage. 'No. It's no ship... that... is a sparkle. A bunny sparkle, to be exact.' 'Sir, what do we do?!' 'The only thing we can hear, soldier... accept it and hope that all of reality doesn't collapse around us.' 'My god, sir, there's TWO OF THEM! A much smaller one has just pulled up!' 'NANI?!!' Back in reality: That smile never left his lips. He merely placed a slice of orange into his mouth and slowly, methodically, chewed. Eventually, he responded. "I see. I am going to go get some coffee." He then, slowly, got to his feet and walked away for a minute. He would return shortly. Just give him a minute. As he ran mental calculations on how long this world can exist with them regularly poking holes in the fabric of reality. |
| Usagi Tsukino | "I've accepted that ''nothing'' we do is going to be ordinary," Usagi laughs, and hugs Chiyo tight and she's thrilled by their happiness because it reflects her own and she's truly so excited. "Chibiusa is ''wonderful''. I mean, she's still trying to rob me a little, and she's still a total brat who's obviously a daddy's girl, but she's ''my'' total brat, and she's trying her hardest, and she's really brave, and she's been through a lot and so if she wants to be pissy at me sometimes and try to rob me, I will accept it!" Most people probably wouldn't be thrilled to have a child dropped on them just a few months before they turn sixteen, but Usagi's wanted to be a housewife for almost her whole life. She's wanted to be a mother and a homemaker and Chibiusa is both a wonderful (if frustrating) little person, but also proof that it happens. Maybe it doesn't last. Maybe there's that horrific apocalypse that kills billions and a maniacal group of terrorists out for their lives. But it happened. They made it work. They made it work for ''centuries'' and they're still making it work! What romantic wouldn't love that? "- wait, what was that about Nico-kun?" Eyes pop WIDE as she quickly rewinds the mental conversation, and then it's a good thing Chrono walked away for coffee because Usagi is not-quite-shrieking, "He did WHAT?!" |
| Chiyo Sakai | Chiyo Sakai squeals with the hug squeezing tight, then finally lets Usagi go. Somehow she manages not to have spilled her food all over herself. "That's great! And... I totally want to hear more, and see more, but I need to finish this up real quick and get to class." Here she pauses looking stricken. "I've got a lot of make-up work to do for missing school for a bit to go on the trip. But! I totally want to hear more later!" |
| Rashmi Terios | Rashmi watches Chrono wander off with the sort of fond exasperation that looks comfortable on her face. "Well, Usa-chan, Mamo-chan... I didn't think it was possible anymore, but you did it. You broke Chrono again, even if in the most adorable way." Blinking, she shakes her head, looking between Usagi and Mamoru, and adjusts her glasses. "Okay... First in, first out. Maybe, Mamo-kun? Depends on a lot of things, chief of which is an actual Device Core. Which I don't actually have a spare one of, and Earth just doesn't have the tools to *make* a crystal with the computing power of the entire Academy full of nothing but supercomputer. If I get one? *Absolutely I will make a Device cape a project." Turning to Usagi, she holds her hands out. "It's not as bad as it sounds, Usa-chan. ...Well I mean the result, yeah. Could mean I lose Nicomachea for good. If I'm a bad student. If I haven't learned everything I've been taught for most of the last year. If I'm just bad at building Devices. But Chrono knows even if I don't ever make it to TSAB space, I *want* to be a Meister. I *want* people like Mamo-kun to ask me things like that. But I'm never gonna believe in myself if I'm not qualified. Since I don't have a way to go to Mid-Childa for four years of secondary school... This is how it happens. Because this is Earth, and magic is BS, and if I hope and work hard enough I'll do the impossible anyway, and he knows that." When you put it like that... It sounds exactly as insane as it did before, just with 'magic, amirite?' attached. |
| Mamoru Chiba | Mamoru laughs, self-aware, a little sheepish but not self-deprecating, and puts his phone back away as Chrono slips off to have a quiet breakdown. He finishes his croquettes pretty quickly, then starts on the chocolate pudding because he's an ADULT. "A daddy's girl?" the boy asks Usagi, blinking. "What, really? Nevermind tell me later." Of course that's what his takeaway is. He slowly eats his pudding, then, listening to Rashmi's explanation after Chiyo begs off for homework. "It sounds like a gamble," he says, "but I don't think it is. It's real pressure. It's not just a test, which means you'll absolutely triumph. Does Nico need an upgrade, anyway?" |
| Chrono Harlaown | Chrono Harlaown returns, triumphant. He had a coffee AND a brownie. Bite him, he DESERVED that brownie. He took a seat besides her and chewed on it. Before finally, commenting on the discussion. "Unfortunately, as I am not a qualified meister myself, I can only apply the aspects I am familiar with. In this case, a stress test. Normally, Rashmi would be expected to undergo the scheduled test. However, as those do not happen here annually, due to the lack of technology... I am instead giving her as much time as necessary and not proceeding until she feels she's ready." He then took a sip of his coffee. "But, if she fails? It is very possible that Nicomachea could be permanently damaged or inoperable until a new core is found. The devices a meister creates are expected to be able to survive incredibly destructive forces. Were she on midchildia, the devices she could create would be used by other TSAB agents who would be putting their lives in her hands." "I cannot treat her training with any less regard." |
| Usagi Tsukino | "That... makes sense," Usagi says, grimly, reluctantly, "But still. It's a lot to put on your shoulders, and of course you'll ''succeed'' Rashmi-chan, you're going to do great! But it's a lot of pressure. No wonder you're staying up and studying." A beat. "But if you have ''time'' then you don't need to skip sleep ''now'', because Chrono-kun isn't demanding you do it right away, you know?" It sounds like there's no rush! Take your time! Feel confident! And also? "Totally a daddy's girl," she adds to Mamoru, "I'll tell you about it later, but she runs ''right'' to you." Which is fair, because of the two of them, Mamoru is the one with defensive capability, but it's also other stuff. The psychic totally has an edge in this parenting thing! She can tell! She's gonna have to formulate a plan of attack for dealing with it. "I guess it's fair," she says, grimacing, "But it still seems... I mean, Nico-kun is a person too, it seems like a lot to risk for a test..." |
| Rashmi Terios | << *BONG!* >> << MY MASTER HAS SPOKEN OFTEN THAT THIS TASK CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT ME, >>Nicomachea chimes in. ...At reduced volume, due to the surroundings, but it is still very much like a phone on speaker, coming from the charm on her bow. << EVEN WERE THIS NOT TRUE, IT IS IN MY NATURE TO COLLATE, ANALYZE, AND DISSEMINATE HELPFUL INFORMATION. TO COMPLETE THIS TASK WILL HELP MY MASTER. ERGO, I APPROVE. >> Apparently even smart-books believe in Rashmi, who bobs her head in cheerful, if tired, approval, and slips an arm around Chrono's waist. "I've always said, Chrono makes me better than I could ever have been by myself. I trust him when he believes I can do something, even if it feels impossible. And I wouldn't even begin to do it if Nico-kun was even a little hesitant. So now... it's just down to 'how well have I learned the material?' I figure once I get the design finished, I'll give it a couple of weeks, then start the practical. In the meantime..." Glancing at Chrono, Rashmi chuckles. "Just gotta do my best, right? So!" Taking a drink of her pudding-laced tea, she looks from Usagi to Mamoru. "*Our* future? Or, like, a little sideways? Molly-chan wasn't clear on that." |
| Mamoru Chiba | Watching Chrono as he talks, Mamoru inexorably eats this whole bowl of chocolate pudding, like, a whole cereal bowl's worth. He gets Chrono's point of view. He's going to have to stress-test Jadeite soon probably. He gets Rashmi's point of view: scary things ''do'' make us better. He also absolutely gets Usagi's point of view, because YIKES? And it's not his place or his desire to make it seem even scarier to the person who needs to do the thing, so he keeps eating pudding until it's gone. Mamoru also leans in and says to Usagi, "You just need a cape and she'll hide behind you too~" He's finished with all his food except the chocolate milk, but that's in its own package, so he pockets it and starts to get up. "A little sideways, but it truly doesn't matter. She's still ours. But -- speaking of spoiling her rotten, I'm going to go spoil her rotten a little bit, if she's eaten her real food." Do as I say, not as I do. Usagi gets hugs and a kiss, and everyone else gets a wave. |
| Chrono Harlaown | Chrono Harlaown let out a bit of air that he hadn't realized he'd been holding in. "Oh. Ohhhhhh. Right. So... she's not actually from this time, but from another dimension's. Good. That's good. Right. I mean, if she was from this timeline's timeline, then the chances of her ever existing would be compressed to infintisimal amounts, due to the nature of timeline interference, but if she's from another timeline and not directly interfering with her own timeline, then the damage dealt is far less likely to cause a dimensional com--" He stopped, blinked a few times. "It's less likely to kill us all." He took another bite of his brownie. His well deserved brownie. "Admittedly, Rashmi's chances of success, at this juncture, would normally be quite small. But in this world? I've seen her already leap beyond my wildest expectations. I fully expect success. Speaking of success... I should get to class." He leaned over and gave a kiss on Rashmi's cheek... But she knew him. She could likely tell he was... definitely considering things about this new child from the future. He wondered if he could give Sailor Moon a citation. ... No. She'd likely just laugh in his face. Heck, he might laugh in his face at it... |
| Usagi Tsukino | "She was born in 1998," Usagi says dryly, very casually dropping that bombshell before she kiss Mamoru goodbye. "She's definitely from another time. But she's ours, and she's proof that we made it!" Chrono is giving a host of warnings about the ways that time travel could interfere or destroy the world, after proclaiming his love for Rashmi (because what else is confidence?) and she... smiles a little. "Yeah, you can do it Rashmi-chan. I wish your test wasn't so scary, though!" Over the course of this conversation, most of her food has been devoured. When Chrono reminds them of class? She grimaces and starts digging into the rest. "Ugh, don't remind me! School is terrible." |
| Rashmi Terios | And of course Rashmi's cheeks pinken as Chrono states her success not just as likely, but a certainty. She leans into the kiss, then watches Chrono move off a moment. If Chrono wants to worry about the implications of a daughter from an alternate future that starts in the nineties? That's fine. Rashmi will start drawing up plans for just the pinkest Device cape. Because of all the unlikely things to happen? Stumbling over a filing box full of spare Device cores is the *least* of them. Obviously. "I mean, I've always *liked* school," she says, turning back to the table and finishing off the last of her skewers. "But school *and* projects *and* all the insanity we deal with? Yeah, I could use just, like, a little pulling back on all of it." |
| Chrono Harlaown | Chrono Harlaown gave a nod and was starting to leave... When he came right back around. "Wait, did you say she was from the future?" he asked. "As in, your daughter, from the future? Who was born in 1998? So... she's almost 30?" he asked. And no, he was trying to NOT get involved. Trying to NOT focus on the breaking on the time-space-dimensional causations and a resulting... Too late. He was TSABing at it. Dang it. |
| Usagi Tsukino | Usagi considers making Chrono's head explode a little more, then giggles and almost chokes on a bite. Right! No laughing and eating. After saving herself from choking, she contemplates Chrono for a long moment and then leans forward and says, "She's from the 30th century. She's five or so." And then she stands from the table and shakes her head a little. "I always hated school, except for hanging out with friends. But... I get what you mean about needing a break! Here's hoping we actually get one, you know? But I'm gonna a run - if I leave now, I can get more melon soda and still make it back to class on time!" |
