| Dark Glimmer | There were certain things would should not do in Obsidian Tower. Glimmer was currently experiencing one of them. She was laying on his desk, some of the things scattered, curled up, clutching her stomach. Sparkles were *everywhere*. It looked like someone had released a glitter bomb in here... And then, the reason... Across the room was a package. Mini-cupcakes. With the brand name 'It's food!' on them. One was missing from the package... or rather, besides the package. As if it had been dropped. Except it was... strangly wet. And covered in sparkles. Glimmer had been planning to yell at Takashi, but he'd been out. So she'd waited... about ten seconds, then headed out to get a snack, came back... and well... there were the results. |
| Takashi Agera | There's a lot of things one doesn't want to see upon entering their office in Obsidian Tower. Things like unwelcome guests. Like Joker. Or like your office randomly being on fire. Or HR. Glimmer's not really as bad as those things, but the glitter everywhere is. So when he steps through the threshold of his office - he takes a look at Glimmer, looks around, and he is just about to say something angry, the look clear on his face... when his eyes fall on the package of It's Food, and then he looks back at Glimmer, and the look of his anger fades quickly to one of pity. "You didn't... try to eat one of those, did you?" |
| Catra | Catra just happens to be walking past Takashi's office; and today, the cat isn't moving with her usual level of... grace. Well, three broken ribs that haven't been seen to will do that. She's clutching a cracked jar that's got a bunch of dark, faintly glowing liquid sloshing about in it, around half full. Definitely not enough. Catra hasn't put that jar down since she 'received' it a few days ago, other than to sleep, and even then she's kept it jealously guarded in her arms. But, being who she is, she can hear the conversation going on in Takashi's office; so being the nosey creature that she is, she walks in without waiting for an invitation. And there's Glimmer, looking like a rhinoceross had down jumping jacks on her abdomen, with a package full of cupcakes (sans one) sitting nearby, and Takashi with a face like a fiddle. "...What's going on?" she asks, palming her jar and doing her best to look stoic. She doesn't have broken ribs. There's nothing wrong. |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon groaned and opened her eyes, looking to Takashi. "Y-you... that... urp... w-what... are those?!" she asked, shuddering and taking a slow breath. "I-I ate one... and it was *so wrong*. I *teleported* in a panic AND IT STAYED BEHIND! I teleported AND IT DIDN'T COME WITH ME! Do you have ANY IDEA HOW WEIRD THAT FEELS?! I've NEVER HAVE THAT HAPPEN, IT--" And then she looked at it, shrieked, and teleported BEHIND Takashi, pointing at it. "IT WAS CHEWED! I CHEWED IT! HOW IS IT WHOLE?! IT CAN'T BE WHOLE! WHY IS IT WHOLE AGAIN?! C-Catra, stay away from those! They're dangerous! They're... urg..." And then leaned her forehead on Takashi's back. "Ugh... w-what *are* those... it said it was food. They SAID they were FOOD. GAH! Wait, Catra, i-is that It's drink?! D-don't drink it! N-no matter what you do, don't drink it!" |
| Takashi Agera | "Oh man, didn't I tell you not to go near that stuff on like, your first day?" He certainly told Catra to avoid the cafateria food, at least, but that was prior to the It's Food project coming aboard. "Anything that has to loudly proclaim what it is... probably isn't that." he notes. And then he looks around the room and... Henshins into Riventon. Because he can't manipulate Dark Energy the way he wants to without Axion in its full mode. "Okay. Well. Let's get all of um. this out of here. And clean." Riventon says, outstretching a hand and squeezing it. Little black droplets of liquid dark energy fall from it, and hit the ground, manifesting into little black spikey balls with eyes and spindly legs and arms. Each about the size of a 50-yen coin. There's around thirty of them soon, and they start to run around the room in rapid speed, picking up peices of glitter and depositing them in the bagged trash. A group of them carries the Cube 'food' and then bag of other Cube 'food' into the same trash can. He turns to Catra. "I did tell you to avoid the It's Food, right?" he asks. "I think it has bigger negative effects on those of us who have magic than like, general population. I don't know what it's SUPPOSED to do, it's not our department." he warns. "...also where have you been, Catra?" |
| Catra | Catra watches the little... things, get to work on cleaning things up. Starting with the glitter. Oh man, that would've been so handy after any number of fights with Glimmer. Speaking of Glimmer, she really ought to give her back that black card at some point; but by the look of things, this isn't the time. Besides, she might need it. You never know. She's almost lost when Takashi starts asking her questions, and it's not as if she can argue that she didnt' hear him; she's just weirdly spaced out, in a way that just isn't normal for her. Might have something to do with the obvious level of exhaustion she's carrying around. Still, she shakes her head, and hunhs? "Where've I been? Collecting dark energy, like I'm supposed to." She pauses, and furrows her brow. "Though I did have one Youma... kinda get away from me. Apparently my loan time expired, or... whatever that means. So it just kinda vanished." The cat shrugs her shoulders, watching the little critters going about their business. "Yeah so anyway, if you find a damaged Youma calling itself Fishbones running around, that's mine. And Sparkles, what the hell'd you do to yourself? You look like you didn't just eat bad food, it's like you ate Perfuma's entire vegetable garden and she forgot to tell you which mushrooms were poisonous." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon gave another shudder, shaking her head. "No? I mean, I don't think you did? Wait. Why can it says it's food if it's NOT food?! That... that doesn't even make sense! Why call it food if it's NOT food?! What is WRONG with this place?!" She shuddered and teleported onto a nearby console, sitting up there and out of reach as the things picked up the garbage, not coming down until the 'It's food' was gone. She glanced towards Catra and... "If only. Ugh. I ate some of her 'poisoned' mushrooms once. They didn't even really affect me, I don't really... get sick. But that? That thing is a level of... ickiness... ugh. I swear I can almost feel it inside me, still. Like its infected me. There's not enough magic in the world to make that feel okay." She then teleported back down, in front of Catra. "Are... you okay? You look as bad as I feel. Like-- Wait. WAIT! Distractions! Oh, and, um, grats on the good work, Catra. TAKASHI! You LIED to me! What was Night Hope doing there on our mission? you said you weren't going to use her for anything but information gathering! Why was she FIGHTING with you?!" she asked, teleporting over in front of Takashi. And she might have looked almost intimidating... if she hadn't had to lean over on his desk and put a hand on her mouth. "Ugh, how long until the after effects wear off?" |
| Takashi Agera | Takashi gave Catra a look. "Wait, since when do you do the things you're supposed to do?" he asks, seriously. "Is collecting energy somehow getting you closer to beating She-Ra or something? Like in a tangible way you understand?" he asks. "And yeah, the stuff from Inhuman Resources can pull itself back if you don't return it in time. At least on the lower-end." "I mean, there's a lot wrong with this place. We don't have time to get into it all. I'm trying to fix what I can." he states. "As far as the effects of that crap... no idea. Not our department. Just take it easy for a bit." he says, basically washing his hands of it. "I'm not really sure how you expect Night Hope to gather data for me without being present." Takashi says. "It's not like she can press buttons or access computers or anything. She's an energy projection, and she can interact with energy - only on the defensive. You heard her, she had to ask for permission to attack, and without it she was just... there. Watching. Analyzing. Just an active analysis. Is that why you were so testy? I meant to ask but... the end of that didn't go very well for me." Or the next one, for that matter. Urg. |
| Catra | Well it actually has a lot more to do with Joker intimidating Catra into gathering dark energy by threatening Rashmi, but Catra is hardly about to say that. So she just stands there, gritting her teeth and pretending that her usual base level of anger is the only real problem, and that she's not in constant physical pain and a certain amount of ever-present exisential dread. "I'm fine," she asserts. "And I dunno if gathering dark energy is gonna help me beat She-Ra." Does she even still want to beat She-Ra? "But keeping in good standing around here can't hurt, can it? ...Anyway it's fun. You show up, make some of our enemies mad, maybe they get hurt in the process, nothing that isn't at least mildly hilarious." She holds the jar loosely at her side, and quirks an eyeborw upwards. "Wait, hold up. Night Hope? That sounds shockingly similar to Light Hope. What on Etheria are you playing with?" |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon gave a small shrug. "What? Catra's an over achiever. She took over the crimson wastes in like, a week apparently. Probably found something she wants and... actually, that concerns me a bit. Oh, reminds me. Catra, did you see what happened with that black card Easter lent me? Apparently it disappeared when we went out..." Then turned her gaze back to Takashi. "Oh, don't even try that. She does NOT need to be there to learn. I may not be the most 'technology' aware person, but even the Horde had cameras. Heck, WE had cameras sometimes, even if we couldn't... always use them because we only had a few. but that's not important! She shouldn't BE THERE. At all! It starts with you giving her shields, then you give her, I don't know, some way to use the shields as lasers or sticks! Then before you know it, she's trying to manipulate you into blowing up the world! Because that's what Light Hope DOES! She tricks you and manipulates you! She's almost as bad as Shadow Weaver, I'm surprised the two weren't sharing family bonding exercises! 'Oh? have you tried poking a the fact she's an orphan? THAT will surely get her to do what you want!' Because she's a MONSTER!" She even stomped her feet when she said that last thing, a bit of sparkles poofing out of her hands. |
| Takashi Agera | Takashi looks At Catra... pauses, then nods. "Well, good to know she's got focus or whatever it is that's getting her out there. The more energy she collects the better things are for all of us." he says. "Goes for you too, sparkles." "And look, I'm being ''exceedingly'' careful with Night Hope. She's - ugh, what do you understand..." he pauses and looks up at the sky. "Okay, Pokemon. Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, they're not the same game, even if they share some core basics. Silver is again, different. Light Hope was Red, and Night Hope is like, Gold. Just because some of the stuff is the same doesn't mean she is the same all around. She's not going to try to activate a superweapon or trick me. She's dependent on me for her existence, her core programming won't let her risk me, my allies, the Earth, ''or'' Etheria, and yes I added Etheria specifically because I did listen to you about what you said." he says. "And if you understand the concept of cameras you know using a camera isn't the same as being there to witness it in person, and it's damn sure not the same thing as experiencing it directly." he says. "Besides, compared to all of the stuff ''in this building'' she's more locked down, more safer than the people you walk past in the halls." He says, gesturing with his hand. A small Night Hope appears, roughly hand sized, floating impassively over his shoulder. "Here. Night Hope, are you allowed to override any of your programmed safeguards?" he asks. "I am not, and if I feel compelled to do so I must notify Riventon immediately and then disable myself." Night Hope responds. "And if you programing is altered in any way by someone else?" "If my programming is altered, I must notify Riventon immediately and then disable myself." Night Hope states. "See? Come on, give me ''some'' credit here. I do listen." he says. "...and speaking of... maybe now's not the right time for this, nevermind. There's some kind of timeline weirdness between you two that's different, right? What you remember?" |
| Catra | "The black card? Which black-- Oh, ''that'' black card, right." Catra shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not sure. but when I've got time I'll go back oer the places we went to and make sure you didn't drop it somewhere." She crosses her arms, letting herself tilts a couple of inches backwards so she can lean against the wall. "Look I dunno what you're doing with this Night Hope, but I just remember Light Hope trying to kill me with robot spiders, to prove some kind of point to Adora or something. ...nevermind she tried to kill her with the spiders too, that was just... all part of the lesson, I guess. Except she needed Adora to survive learning it more than me. So whatever. but I don't trust her." The feline purses her lips, "Yeah, our timelines are messed up. I'm from the last moment that Etheria existed, and Sparkles is from sometime after that when somehow Etheria still existed. So maybe we're from alternate universes. I dunno. Does it matter? We're here now and it's not like we're ever leaving again, unless you want to build a portal using Adora's sword, the same one I destroyed Etheria with." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon clenched her fist, gritting her teeth. "Then maybe you should try and make her look like something OTHER that Light Hope? Considering the number of us she tried to kill? And yeah, she tried to spider thing on me too. I had to spend like twenty minutes blowing those things up and then she STILL ended up using me! Because THAT'S what she does. She tricks you, manipulates you and then, to finish it off, uses you. If you're lucky, you survive. If you're not, you nearly blow up the planet because you for some reason thought that she could be trusted!" Then she blinked a few times as something clicked. "Wait. She tried to *kill* you? To prove a lesson to... Seriously? Maybe she and Shadow Weaver were exchanging lessons after all..." Of course, Takashi's question made her face palm and shake her head. "Right. Except she *almost* destroyed the planet... until mom..." Deep breath. "Until my mom sacrificed herself to undo it, trapping herself, eternally, in that weird dimension." Until she managed to free her. But... she didn't want Catra knowing that part. If Catra knew that Angella was trapped in the Moonstone... "And don't you dare try to make a portal with that sword. It has literally *never* worked. All it has done is ALMOST destroy the world. Twice! And then we broke the stupid thing. And then She-ra found a new sword that was in her all along, and there was a whole thing and do you STILL seriously believe you blew up the world, Catra? Do you really think I would be willing to talk to you, at all, if that was where the story ended? After all the things we've seen, are you that set on it that you have just... decided you did it? That you succeeded in the final middle finger to Adora, and blew up the planet? Because guess what, Horde scum. You failed. You tried to rewrite reality, almost destroyed the world, and you were stopped. We... my mother stopped you," Glimmer said, crossing her arms. "So just... get over yourself." "If you want to hate yourself, there's a whole list of reasons to do it. But that's not one of them." |
| Takashi Agera | Takashi turns to Catra and smiles. "Oh come now, Catra. You've seen enough magic on your world and mine to know that nothing is impossible. Some things are just very, very difficult." Takashi says. "In fact, I personally specialize in the otherwise impossible. With the right information and enough Dark Energy, I'm sure we could get you back to your world. Sword or no sword. I just need more time to research it... and the sword to study would help, of course." Of course, then Glimmer doesn't want him to use the sword... and he looks at her. "You really shouldn't ascribe the failures of one person, or set of people, to everyone who wants to do the same something or use the same tool. Plenty of people fail, and then one person succeeds because they do it smarter, better." he says. And it's so clear he thinks he's the one person for any and all permutations. "Stop letting fear rule your life, Glimmer. Nothing's impossible, merely improbable. I fully intend to help you too." he says, but is smart enough to not give the game away in front of Catra for her. "We have people here from different times, different worlds. I've been to other worlds, myself. Possibility is endless! There are two things I need to get all that each of us want. Knowledge and Power." he says. "As far as Night Hope... would it make you feel better if I changed how she looks? I simply didn't consider it personally relevant so I left her at the same default." he explains. Well, maybe he changed the color slightly. |
| Catra | "I didn't fail," Catra asserts fiercely, "I opened the portal in spite of everyone trying to stop me. It's just..." She stops, and kind of visibly deflates. There really just isn't as much spit in her as usual. "Entrapta warned me that opening the portal could destroy all of Etheria, and I didn't listen, because I... Because I just didn't." The feline looks sideways at Glimmer, and chews on her words before spitting them out. "I wasn't actually trying to destroy Etheria," she states at last. "I was trying to conquer it, it's hard to conquer something after blowing it up. I just..." she turns her gaze to stare off at something in the corner. "I just wanted it to be ''different''. That's all." Catra looks down at her jar full of sloshy black liquid. "I'm not saying I want to go back. There's... really nothing there I'd want to go back ''too''. But this planet stinks as well. Sometimes literally. So whatever. ...But I'll try not to glow this one up." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon sighed and put a hand to her forehead. Ugh. It was like... oh. Nope. For a moment, she almost got Horde Prime vibes from him. 'Oh, I am so superior and all shall listen as I ramble on and on'. Except, you know what? Takashi had charm. Grace. He was interesting. He wasn't someone she'd choke in his sleep. "I'm not letting fear rule my life. I'm not trusting what has lost my trust. And it matters because it's getting blowback on me. That... thing, enslaved Bow and now you use it AGAINST him? What... what is... what..." And then she trailed off. Her head turning towards Catra. Catra just admitted that she wasn't trying to blow up the world. She admitted she just wanted things different. She admitted... that she'd messed up. She'd gotten out of her own butt long enough to actually say that... And she was saying she didn't have anything back there in Etheria to go back to. 'Good, that should hold them,' Catra had said. 'Are... are you saving me?' Glimmer asked. 'Adora. She'll come for you. So I'm sending you to her.' 'What about you?' Glimmer asked. 'Me? All I do is hurt people. There's nobody else in the entire universe who cares about me.' 'There's really nothing there I'd want to go back too.' ... ...... ......... Glimmer teleported in front of Catra, looking up at her. "What's wrong? What are you scared of? Who *hurt* you? Here, I mean?" And now, unfortunately, Catra had Glimmer's full, undivided attention. And if the cat tried to flee? Glimmer would teleport to block the door and stop her. Oh boy. |
| Takashi Agera | Takashi turns, looking at Catra and quietly appraising her for a moment before speeaking. "Well you should probably figure out what you want, Catra. If you don't want to go back but you don't want to stay here, I'm not sure how I can help you. But since you're collecting all of that energy and helping me out, I'd like to be able to return the favor. That's what I was trying to do originally, too. You help me, I help you? It's how I operate." he says. "But please do not blow this world up. I live here. It will be hard for me to help you, no matter what you eventually want... without a lab to research in. And a place to work." "Look, your connection to the Exposed Abs Archer makes things difficult. It would have been fine if he hadn't showed up then." Or if Glimmer hadn't been there directly, he assumes. "Bad luck Night Hope was in prototype active mode but I didn't expect him to react that way." he says. "And, bluntly, his reaction to her is a weakness, and one I presume you'll ask me not to exploit." he says, sighing. Like he already knew he was going to end up agreeing to that. "You and Catra both, stuck fixated on people on the other side of this fight, it's going to get one or both of you really hurt." he says, and his tone indicates here he's... worried about both of them, rather than merely annoyed. "You two have no idea what I go through to keep you both out of trouble here." he says, not knowing they may both be in it in different ways. |
| Catra | Catra does, indeed, try to slink out; but two things happen. First, Glimmer appears in the doorway, which is beyond inconvenient when teleporting past someone is not part of your powerset, and two, one of her broken ribs shifts in a way that is incredibly painful, and it brings a grimace to her face. Who knew untreated bone fractures were so unberably painful? She banishes the grimace just as fast as it appears, and shakes her head. "Nothing. Nobody did anything, I'm ''fine''. She lets her breath out slowly, suddenly aware she'd been holding it to avoid crying out. "I have no intention of blowing up Earth, I hate it but that... doesn't mean I want to blow it to bits. And I'm not stupid enough to try the same trick twice... even if I thought it might work this time. If I can get you Adora's sword, I will, but... no portals with it. It's useful for other things." She swallows audibly, and turns her gaze bck to Glimmer. "Look, I gotta go. I need to find something to eat, and I gotta go get more energy. I'm not finished yet." The feline hands off her jar to her other hand, and holds it behind her back, as she does her best to glare at the Queen of Brightmoon, standing in the doorway in front of her. "I don't... have a 'connection' to Adora," she insists, though the lie sounds weak even to her as she says it. "I just... I'm trying to do something, okay? And I don't wanna discuss it. It's going fine so far." Well, aside from broken bones and Mahou who are too stupid for their own good. "But like, if you find Fishbones, let me konw." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon stared up at Catra. Did she just... grimace? Didn't take a swing at her? She glowered. "Catra? Well. First of all, Takashi? Bow is my friend. Even if he is on the other side. And he spent a lot of time with her messing with his mind. That'd be like, I don't know. Horde Prime suddenly walking around here. It'd be painful. figure out something else. And keep an eye on her! Don't just trust what she says, make sure you validate that she can't lie to you." Then her gaze went back to Catra. "And you... are you hurt? Normally by now you'd have shoved me aside. And I've heard that kind of talk from you before and it was *never* the herald of good things." "... You told me once that all you do is hurt people and that nobody in the universe cares about you, Catra. That's not true. We care about you. Sure, maybe not as much as you want, or would ever admit to liking... but I've spent enough time having you throw me off cliffs, blow me up with bots and now stab me with a sword to tell when something is up." She put an arm against the frame of the door, blocking the knob so she can't even reach the door knob. "So enough tough kitty act. You can either tell me and Takashi what's wrong... or I'll get Scorpia to help me." Pause. "Oh, and possibly Entrapta. She's... here now? But... younger? So... she got caught in the time loops too. So... ummmmm... you know what? Just Scorpia. I don't think Entrapta would go well." Unfortunately, while she'd managed to pick up that SOMETHING definitely had the kitty spooked... she wasn't quite able to figure out what the cause was. Nor how the vial was related. |
| Takashi Agera | "Uh-huh." Takashi says, not believing Catra's comments for a moment, at least about Adora. "Something's up. You don't have to tell me, but I can't help you if you keep it to yourself." he says to the catlady. "If it wasn't for the disruption coming out of the Academy now I could find your youma for you, for example. Soon I'll be able to account for it." Probably. "And I'll let you know if I find your youma." And then it was Takashi's turn to grimace at the Horde Prime comment. He was almost about to say something... and decides better of it. He can address that later. "Look, ladies. Life isn't being kind to any of us right now. We've got a lot going on and I don't think it's going to get easier anytime soon." Oh, he knew it wasn't. Not with Double Horde Prime Trouble on the horizon. "We can't weather it if we keep secrets from each other." He says, fully intending to keep secrets from both - but he needed them to not keep them from him. "If we don't ''trust'' each other. Or at least try to trust each other a little bit." He says, turning to Glimmer. "I trusted your worries about Light Hope to build in several layers of safeguards into Night Hope and keep her distinctly different from the thing you worried about. Can you try to trust a little bit that I know what I'm doing?" he says. "And Catra, I've trusted you enough to let you do your own thing and only occasionally call on you. But if you do need help, could you try trusting me just a little bit and tell me what's up?" |
| Catra | Catra snorts loudly. "Life? Kind? That's not how life works." Her eyes narrow, glaring at Glimmer in front of her as the pink-haired princess continues to refuse to move out of the way, and in fact makes leaving slightly more difficult. So how on Etheria does she answer all that? Trust? Tell them what's going on? Lie? The look on her face betrays her working through all these possible courses of action, and where she might've just pushed past Glimmer a couple of days ago, she's forced to recognize that she isn't in the right shape for that. Glimmer would absolutely win a confrontation right now, even if she didn't have Takashi backing her up. "Joker threatened someone I like, and he's going to, I don't know, rip her kidneys out and cook them in her own family's restaurant spices in front of her if I don't gather enough energy to satisfy him," she growls through gritted teeth. "And after I lost Fishbones -- the Inhumans departmant or whatever didn't get him back somehow -- they made me wait to get another one. But I'm going back there now to see. So." Her eyes narrow, as she falls back on old strategies; hide pain with anger. Even physical pain, which she is very clearly experiencing in spades, as is becoming increasingly obvious. "I don't have time to be screwing around any further. Sparkles. Get out of my way." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon sighed. "I trust you, Takashi, for the most part. But she's conniving. But... fine. I'll try to keep in mind how smart you are. Just... try and not traumatize my friends, okay?" she asked. And didn't move. Until... Catra said her 'friend'. Well. someone she liked. SAME THING! "Awwww, you have a friend? That's great. But... there's something else, Catra." "I literally spent ages with Adora, fighting by her. And do you think she... didn't try to go out and fight even when she was injured? Like... all the time? How hurt are you? Because you have not take a swing at me yet, which makes me suspect it must be *really* bad." "... Also, who's Joker? Cause like... we're not going to let that happen. For... multiple reasons. Right, Takashi? Like... is this a 'we need to tie you to a bed until you heal and tell everyone you're away on missions' level of hurt, or a 'you haven't slept in three days and you assume you need to carry the world on your back or everything in your life will fall apart so we've got to lock you in a room with a bed, some hot tea and a really good pillow' kind of hurt?" |
| Takashi Agera | "Joker?!" Takashi spits the name out with obvious distaste, though Catra's seen him interact with the clown before. "He's screwing around with you? This isn't his damn department." he snarls. Okay. Logically, Takashi knows his ability to deal with Joker is limited. Theoretically they're close in rank; Joker's right under Pierott, and Takashi's right under Precia - but Joker goes to the Board Meetings, and Joker is a creepy murderclown. But, that didn't mean he couldn't put on some theatrics. "If he's screwing with you I'm going to ruin his day back." he says, and slams his hand against the wall angrily. Theatrics. "I'm not letting that clown screw with ''my people''. He's right in that you did need to throw a little more energy into the pool, but if he has a problem with ''you'' he needs to come to ''me''." he adds. "Play his game for now, but... I'm going to see about that court jester." He sighs and turns to Glimmer. "I'll see about manifesting her in a different shape, alright? But I'm keeping the name. It feels wrong to cut her name out from under her and I don't want to have to edit a bunch of stuff again." he says. And then he (perhaps foolishly) tries to score a point or two with Catra. "Look, if Joker's being a creepy jerkbag he's probably doing damn good at it, and Catra probably can't fully rest or heal till she's out of his stupid game." he says, knowing Joker's MO a little bit. "Let her go for now, I'll go get my business together and talk to the clown, and you... keep an eye around here and make sure a guy who looks like a serial killing court jester doesn't screw with anything else while I'm gone. If you come with me, he'll just try to creep you out to get to me." And she might see that Takashi's options for dealing with the clown are very limited if she was there in person. |
| Catra | Catra's teeth grind together. Is it because she's mad? Because she was just forced to give the game away? Or is it just because she has a serious injury? Could even be all three. "I gotta go," she snaps, though it doesn't really seem to be directed at anyone here, it's just... how she is. She finally lashes out to smack Glimmer's arm out of the way, and in spite of how horribly her ribs are complaining at her she pushes her way out into the hallway. Could Glimmer stop her? For once, with uncharacteristic ease, even without being able to teleport around. But Catra pushes past her anyway, and hunches her shoulders as she stalks her way down the hall. "And she's not my friend," she adds, not bothering to turn around. "And she never will be, if she knows what's good for her! If you ever meet a girl named Rashmi tell her she should ''choose better friends''. And when the damned monster comes knocking at her door, next time she should ''close it''." |
| Dark Glimmer | Glimmer Brightmoon glanced to Takashi as he talked and... sighed. When Catra tried to push past her... Glimmer moved aside. Not putting up much of a resistance anymore. Though she wanted to. But whoever this guy was... he sounded like a big deal. And if Catra was freaked out... that likely meant that something bad was going on. Once Catra was out the door, she shook her head. "Okay. Just... keep an eye on her, okay? I've only seen Catra like that a handful of times. If she's... like that? It likely means she's scared. And she's going to get really, really hurt before she's willing to act on it." She started towards the other room, before stopping. "And... Takashi? I do trust you. A lot. Sorry if I give the impression that I don't. And I do hope you're still down to help me with the project in a few days. Bow and She-ra should be there, no problem... And so long as Night Hope stays away from them, maybe we can solve this without there being a big fight. I'll trust you to deal with this Joker. Good luck, you know where to find me if you need me." And then... she disappeared. Only to reappear a moment later. "Okay, but seriously. I do trust *you*. It's *Light Hope* I don't trust to try and get what she wants by ANY means necessary. Got it? Good? Good." And then she disappeared again. |
