Scene #1979: The Sealing Harp

Coco Kiumi	There have been many changes of plans and setbacks, but Yuri had finally achieved a breakthrough in the mission Gaito gave them, and it was only a matter of time before it was finally done and she'd heap the glory of enabling her beloved lord's rise! Sure, the Tomoe LifeScience department deserved a mention for providing Sunbreaker's tower, but still, it was ''her'' to have done a great part of the work. The relic they'd been looking to find wasn't anywhere special, lost in a small grotto in the Yumegahama Ward. Her victory wasn't as close at hand as she thought, because just when the Dark Lover stepped food inside, crayons started appearing on the walls and everywhere, and a plushie shark on a surfboard took the harp that she could peer inside before escaping for the city. "Give it up you...!", Yuri shouts once surprise turns to frustration, immediately getting into a run chasing after the thing that stole what ''she'' should have. The furious Dark Lover ejects a tendril of water after it, missing the Familiar by mere cms, breaking a nearby flower pot instead. Fragments that end up falling on Hippo's head, who is accompanying Coco towards the Pearl Pier, a poof of smoke enveloping him. "Are you ok, Hippo?" Coco asks him. "Just a bump", he groans, massaging his head, the dissolving smoke revealing he is now in his human form. "Did you feel it too?" he asks, turning to where the magical energy is fading in the distance. "Yes, it was undoubtedly Aqua Regina's relic and Yuri is chasing a Familiar that has it.", Coco informs him, transforming in the same breath and enveloping herself and Hippo in a Live Stage to float after them. "We cannot let her get it!" the latter spurs them on.
Hinoiri Kirara	Hinoiri Kirara was, well, down by the pier, looking over different little sweaters, a few skirts, picking up a small sea shell necklace. "Heh, this might be fun if I end up picking up that beach-organizing game. Not sure it's really for me, though. Although, I do find the 'dark mysteries hidden beneath the sands' to be a little intriguing... I guess if it didn't fit, I could at least give it to Coco. Never hurts to give a gift to the boss." Hinoiri, in this case, was doing a bit of fun shopping with Usagi for some things to wear on their streams! She was, admittedly, still a bit nervous about admitting she did streaming. It felt... weird. Like she was just doing it for attention or... worse... But it WAS a nice little way to do something that DIDN'T have any reprecussions or cause world ending disasters. Put her mind onto a task that didn't endanger anybody. Or everybody. Also it gave Usagi a chance to see how Hinoiri drove now! Hinoiri still drove like a speed demon, but at least she made sure Usagi wore a helmet and she was at least safer than she USED to be. If not for her own sake, then for her passenger's. She then picked up a grass skirt and snickered, holding it over her hips. "What do you think, could I pull it off?" she asked in a playful tone... Then blinked, looking up. "Wait, did you feel that? No. I'm sure it's--" Then she saw Yellow Pearl Voice's stage fly by. And she just sighed. "Oh I swear to buck. Well, at least it's not one of my towers this time... go. We can meet up at the little icy store after you're done saving the world, okay?"
Usagi Tsukino	Riding out to the pier with Hinoiri had been ''exciting'' that was for sure - she drove like a demon of speed, though at least there was a helmet involved. Usagi hadn't even screamed, except for at the beginning! And even then that had been as much excitement as fear! "Oh, that's ''super'' cute," Usagi enthuses. She's picked up a bracelet made from pieces of sea glass and is checking it out - it would be great for a stream, but also, as a gift for Ami. "And yeah, it never hurts to give someone a gift when you're buttering them up!" Usagi, unlike Hinoiri, has no problem admitting she'd started streaming for attention, and to make friends. She stays in it for the fact that it's fun, and she sees no reason not to prove her skill against all the haters. "I think you could pull it off, but maybe more if the leaves were black," she says with a snicker, looking at Hinoiri in such a bright, saturated green. The idea of doing a combo stream is a fun one, and she's been supporting ShimmerCode since she saw it go live. Actually, thinking of the combo stream, she should probably mention something... "About streaming with me - I'm really into it, but there's something you should know about my watchers - huh? No, I don't feel- oh." She might not feel any magic, but she does see the stage fly by, and - "Okay, but I'll meet you soon! And this means we ''really'' should introduce you to Cure La Mer!" At least to see if that magic would be compatible... with a little wave, Usagi runs off, and a moment later, Sailor Moon is chasing after Yellow Pearl Voice. "Yellow-chan! What's going on?!"
Amy Faust	Amy was supposed to meet them later! And so here she is, following directions to the indicated store. She's got the right building, the name is right, but she hesitates at the door. She hasn't ''properly'' had this experience yet. There was getting a yukata, and the other interrupted shopping trip, and getting dresses in the past -- one of which she's wearing today, the white-and-blue casual dress from Princess Serenity's closet -- but like. It's never been an uninterrupted shopping trip with normal clothes. Through the windows she sees the pair as she approaches, Hinoiri joking with the grass skirt. Amy doesn't know what they're saying but Amy doubts she herself could pull off the hula girl look, at any rate. Part of her hesitates to step through the door, although she quickly reassures it. Part of her wonders if this is really a big deal, or maybe the moment is long past and this is just normal. Part of her is a little bit sad that some big moment didn't happen, a first shopping trip with the girls where she'd... well it's ''supposed'' to be a big deal, isn't it? Perhaps for her such things have become weirdly enshrined as key moments in becoming a woman. A small part of her kind of wishes she were even less secure about things and was being led through the store by Usagi being reassured this was okay, and hoo boy ''what the fudge is wrong with me why would I think that'' she's not sure she can even begin to untangle whatever the hell THAT thought is when-- A familiar feeling. Like a Witch but much weaker. She turns, just as A plushie shark on a surfboard flies past with a harp in its mouth. And then Yuri and Coco go running past. What is even. She runs into an alley and transforms. A few moments later, Amy lands from a rocket jump on the Live Stage. "What's going on?! Oh, hey Us-- Sailor Moon, I was just about to meet you guys but..." She gestures sharkward.
Coco Kiumi	"Sailor Moon!" Coco smiles relieved the Sailor Senshi takes up the chase too. "Do you remember Gaito having a younger brother he was unable to track? I don't know how, but that Familiar had the talisman responsible, and Yuri has noticed it too!", the mermaid princess explains with urgency to the other blonde girl. She has difficult believing such a ridiculous mess even as it's happening in front of them. Hippo moves aside quickly when Amy does her landing in here, only after that the Sphere expanding to account for the new passenger. "You joined on a chase against that Familiar, that's what!", the blonde boy repeats a shorter version of the events with a tense look directed forward. "Hi, Red", Coco smiles at her, starting to sound a little strained. "Just about that, it's holding the Harp sealing Gaito's power Yuri was using the tower to find." It just so happens that the Sea demon in front of them still hasn't noticed them as focused as she is on the Familiar. "Why do things have to be so difficult!?" Yuri growls any missed shots met with a shrill laugh from part of the Familiar, who was balancing the divine harp on its head to add insult to injury. "When I get you, I..." the sea demon glares at the creature. If she could throw attacks one after the other with her mere gaze, she would already be sending more attacks than it could manage after it. "As if you would get it, Yuri! Legend of Mermaid: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!"", Coco declares before pitching the purifying melody of the oceans against Yuri. Singing and moving the Live Stage forward at the same time isn't the easiest thing, though, and it's impacting its efficiency. "You were quick at gathering allies this time, Mermaid Princess, see how you like this!" she grins, Dark Energy gathering and becoming a projectile against the Live Stage. Water tendrils are aimed at Sailor Moon next. "This is for you, Moongirl! See if you like destroying others' property!"
Hinoiri Kirara	Hinoiri Kirara watched Sailor Moon go and then... she smiled. She'd never fought with Sailor Moon before. And it looked like both Coco and Amy were here too. Easy enough for her to aid, then. She quickly moved aside, making sure to lock her pieces up on her bike's compartment, before running off down an alleyway and... It wasn't that long before a somewhat new face with gray hair and a gray masquerade mask could be seen leaping from roof to roof, attempting to catch up... Before leaping up into the air and coming down at Yuri, with a mighty Axe Kick. She didn't know WHY the girl was going after the harp, not her business. Yellow Pearl Voice wanted it and, of the two, one of them had given her a job and the other was part of the group that wanted her dead so she had a liiiiiittle more trust in her. "Hey, Yuri! I think we should really kick this fight off, what do you say?!" ... Admittedly, she didn't yell that until AFTER her kick either connected or was deflected, so timing needed work but she was learning!
Usagi Tsukino	"I remember that! This is going to let him find his brother?" And - the thing is, Sailor Moon, being an older sister, has ''complicated feelings'' about the idea of keeping siblings separate, and Gaito is a huge, horrible dick, but even he deserves to know his brother... right? For the moment, she chases with them, though - Harp Sealing Gaitou's power?! Okay, mention that part faster, this isn't just a brother finding instrument, it's a power sealing one?! Conflicted feelings, resolved! "Moon Tiara Action!" The glowing circlet of energy flies for Yuri, aiming to distract her from the harp. "Hey, no problem Red-chan! We'll just pick it up after, Shimmer-chan's gonna catch up with us at the Icy Shop - whoa! Nice kick!" This, offered cheerfully to the new girl on the scene, right before - "Whoa-" Water tendrils at Sailor Moon, who has already launched her tiara, who does not have any other physical attacks, who really needs to change tha- smacked into a wall, not overbearingly hard, but enough to blink stars for a second.
Amy Faust	Gaito has a younger brother? "...Do we think the brother would be his ally, or...?" Riding the Live Stage, she looks at the familiar up ahead through the scope of the recoilless rifle she's suddenly holding. "So... is there any particular reason not to ''destroy'' the harp, like, does it have other uses?" Also, there is some kid here! Amy puts some puzzle pieces together and looks at him. "Oh. Well, I'm glad you have more sense than your big brother -- did the shark just LAUGH at her?! Ahahaha!" Amy cackles at the antics between Yuri and the Familiar. Also, Equivalence is here! "Hi again!" While the others go after Yuri, she fires an explosive shell at the familiar, which airbursts near it. She probably shouldn't let it become a Witch, right? Also, maybe they should take out that harp-- Although, her thoughts are interrupted by an attack coming their way! "Eyah! Why is it always tentacles?! You never see any of ''us'' using tentacles!" She fires an explosive shell at the middle of the tendrils, hoping that blastng away the middle part will make the whole thing break.
Coco Kiumi	Despite the much less concentrated effect of Legend of Mermaid, the purification innate to it is starting to get to Yuri a bit, enough so that when she gets a Moon Tiara Action headed her way, the dark energy she throws out to protect itself cedes to the impact of Sailor Moon's attack, and the Dark Lover has barely the time to time to dodge it with a surprised shriek. The Dark Lover might have appreciated a rectified timing herself, because between focusing on the Familiar and having a much narrower encounter with the Moon Tiara Action, she has no attention span left for Hinoiri's kick. It would have been a good warning. As things are however she get thrown off the chase, getting up a few seconds later, arm bruised. "Did you just throw a pun at me? Are you taking this seriously at all?" "What even is this? Me, Gaito's brother?", Hippo scoffs annoyed at the thought of being mistaken for having any sort of relation to Gaito. "I am the Guardian Hippocampus Aqua Regina herself appointed, not a descendant of our enemies. I was there when she sealed them away, 300 years ago", he says, offended. "Calm down, Hippo, she didn't intend to do that, there are lots of things going on, ok?" Coco tries to placate the easy to anger guardian even with most of her focus elsewhere. "The Harp would just let Gaito be unrestricted and contact his brother. Aqua Regina said it back then, she separated them because the Light and Dark power of the Panthalassa shouldn't be allowed to reunite", the yellow mermaid reminds. "That is going to happen whether you like it or not, and honestly, I find your group so funny. It's a good thing you have got the gray and the red! You three blondes aren't much for colour variation!", Yuri intervenes at Coco's warnings, laughing mockingly at the group of mahous over their assortment. Alerted by the fight that has been started in earnest between the Mahous, the Familiar jumps with its surfboard, causing the star design under it to throw duplicates of itself all over, Yuri included.
Hinoiri Kirara	Equivalence gave a light snort. "You, Yuri? Nobody would take YOU seriously," Equivalence said. But that was totally a lie and merely trash talk. She knew how dangerous the girl could be. Sure, she wasn't as dangerous as, say, Sunbreaker... But she also hadn't nearly blown up the world so, you know. There were levels of it. "You girls focus on getting the harp, I'll worry about this dried up has-been. Honestly, I'm surprised Gaito let you go out on your own like this, I figured he would have at least sent Maria with you to make sure you didn't get out of hand," Equivalence said before running towards her and jumping, to try and kick Yuri back! Yes, she was, in fact, trash talking Yuri and trying to get her off her game, calling out one of the other dark lovers as her superior... also... "And really, of all people, should you be calling out people for being blond? Considering you're pretty much just copying Yellow Pearl Voice's style?" Unfortunately for her, she was so focused on trash talking the other girl and keeping her focused... she failed to notice the familiar hard stopped and was now launching attacks of its own. One of the star designs hitting her in the back and sending her crashing into the wall by Yuri. "N-Nobody... s-saw that..."
Usagi Tsukino	Sailor Moon would be more pleased with how close that call was if she hadn't been launched into a wall. As it is, she grimaces, shaking her head, and when she reaches out, her Crescent Wand lands safely in her hand. "Moon Healing Escalation!" And as soon the circle of golden light is carved, silver beams and mists fly free, heading for Yuri and the Familiar alike. There are star designs flying everywhere, and this time Sailor Moon dodges away. "Hey, you should be impressed we found this many blonds in Tokyo! And by the way, we're not going to let you get this thing! Gaito doesn't need anymore power!" She is notably trying not to comment on the brother thing, because conflicted feelings are real.
Amy Faust	"Sailor Moon are you okay?!" Amy shouts after seeing her friend get flung into a wall. 'She didn't intend to do that.' Sometimes it just randomly hits like that, Amy suddenly smiling for no apparent reason as they talk on the Live Stage. But, on with the discussion: "Oh, right, Gaito's backstory was seriously messed up. Ugh, if only he'd stop being a creep, life would be so much better for ''everyone'', him too..." She blinks at Hippo. "Wait, you're three hundred years old?! Damn, what's that like??? Did you pick that form?" She blinks at Yuri. "I don't... get it? Why does our hair color matter?" With stars flying everywhere she drops prone atop the stage to try and avoid them. "Uh, don't stand directly behind me!" she warns Coco and Hippo as she sights up for another shot and fires, trying to knock the familiar out of the sky with another airburst explosion!
Coco Kiumi	"More than 300, that was just when the war with the Panthalassa happened and the royal line was sealed. I am not sure what being like this should be like", Hippo replies perplexed to Amy's question. "And I didn't pick this form, I have always had it." In the meantime, Amy's attack actually knocks the familiar off the sky, making it stop its star production completely, giving everyone the breather they need. "Try again, Gaito couldn't be more of me, especially compared to Maria", the Dark Lover looks at Equivalence with disdain. She hasn't been doing so well since she pathetically let Sailor Moon destroy the book she took from the Panthalassa's library without Gaito's permission. That was a real low point of her, hahaha", Yuri replies with glee. "Me on the other hand? I don't what you are on about with me copying Yellow Pearl Voice's style, but I have been the only one to actually capture a mermaid princess, I have located the Harp, and I am now about to dispose of it. If you think I am in a position to fear Maria, you really have no idea. I am the one who holds his grace the most", she goes on and on explaining why she herself is great. It could be said that Hinoiri's attempt to get under her skin didn't obtain the desired result, but on the other hand the grey magical girl got Yuri monologuing, and that is enough to make the Moon Healing Escalation to hit her without any defenses up, and both her and the Familiar start screaming at the pain they feel. The battle finally holding still, Coco stops the Live Stage and calls upon the blessing Aqua Regina has given her, raising her right arm, on which the bracelet begins shining with white radiance. A halo of yellow light moves downwards from the mermaid princess's head and her clothes change again: her left glove now adheres to her arm with a pattern made up of water ripples, while on her left leg a stocking has shown up with the same water ripple pattern, and on her right hand and on her legs a yellow glove and boots with flowy extensions show up. Corals radiate outwards from her neck, covered by a transparent veil with brown pearls and white stars decorating it, the same decoration that is applied to the layer of fabric extending backwards and downwards from above her skirt, another layer with the water ripple pattern on the outside extending in much the same way from below the skirt. The E-Pitch mic finally changes in an E-Pitch Headset that descends on Coco's head, the yellow yewel nestled safely on the right side. "The Tale of the Seven Seas ~Pearls of Mermaid~: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!" The mermaid princess sings of the story shimmering beyond the seven seas that leads all lives to paradise, of the lute's melody that on the beach at dawn reawakens the memory of that hometown's sweet lullaby, giving assurance than dven when the sea is stormy, bonds and heartbeat will still be conveyed. "Fine Heart Pitch!" she declares at the end of the song, the purification of her song reaching its apex accompanied by yellow hearts, working in conjunction with the Escalation, making the Familiar vanish away while Yuri collapses holding her head as the dark energy within her trembles. With the disappearance of the familiar, the Harp starts flying through the hair, and a hand emerges out of white light catching it. At seeing the goddess of the sea making her appearance, Yuri grimaces, though she recognises that with or without her appearance she was completely spent. "This doesn't end here!" she tells the group of Mahous.
Hinoiri Kirara	Equivalence groaned and picked herself up, shaking her head. "H-hey, good job, Moony. You.... escalate that... healing... rod... thing..." Equivalence lightly clapped her cheeks, trying to refresh herself. "And yeah, you say that, Yuri. But I think we all know Gaito only has eyes for one person under the sea and it's certainly not you. So... why don't you just get going? You've lost, there's no victory to be had for you here. Leave before you end up getting too hurt." The purification was certainly doing its job and yuri looked like she was crumbling. Despite the urge to like, finish her off... Hinoiri had been there too many times. As much fun as it was to win, hurting her opponents, even one of the Dark Lovers, didn't feel good. She only wanted it to be done as much as was necessary. Past that... no. "And tell Gaito to maybe try a phone book or something! Maybe if he wasn't such a jerk and trying to destroy the world people here would be a lot more willing to help him fine his brother!" Equivalence then rubbed her cheek. Ugh. She was definitely going to get a bruise from hitting the wall like that... Oh crud there was Mermaid-Sora now. She urked, bracing for a lecture she... actually likely wouldn't get. Whew. Way to go not being a jerk all the time! Woo! Payoff!
Amy Faust	'I'm not sure what being like this should be like', Hippo states, and Amy can only agree, "''God, '''mood.'''''" Yuri is lecturing about how she's the best or something. "Lady, I have a full soul gem and multiple grief seeds." She takes aim for another shot. "You ''and'' the harp are getting intimately introduced to high-energy physics if it comes to it, to save the sea kingdoms and the world. The only ''question'' here is--" and then Coco is transforming again and Amy looks over her briefly, "Oh, nice, is it super time?" and a pillar of fire transforms her outfit as well before she starts to look through her scope again. "...wait did you say you ''want'' it destroyed, what--" she starts to ask, but by the time the song ends, Aqua Regina's got the harp, and Amy leaps to her side, making a 'move along now' gesture at Yuri with her weapon. She gives Equivalence a curious look. "Why do we care about her love life. Wait why does anyone even ''wanit'' Gaito eww he's this creepy bishie-- oh. Ohhh right yeah I remember how popular Sephiroth and Draco were. Huh. People actually... huh." She's ''trying'' to imagine what could be going through Yuri's head and failing. Oh right, there's, you know, a magical queen here. Amy turns and nods in greeting. "Aqua Regina. Didn't expect to see you again so soon. How are you able to appear here again... and what do we do with that harp?"
Usagi Tsukino	"Yeah, I'm okay!" Sailor Moon shakes her head, but at least the purification worked, and the harp is retrieved, and - "Yuri, you should just go back now. We got the harp - why don't you just go ''home'', you don't even have to tell him you lost it to us." Maybe that's a little condescending, but they won, so she should go! This can still end well - surely, Aqua Regina won't insist on things going further, right? She's a good queen, and all."
Coco Kiumi	Aqua Regina watches the spot Yuri disappeared from with a sorrowful expression, then turns to Amy. ", I commend you for your desire to protect the world from the forces of darkness, but this relic must be kept safe, not destroyed. Were it to be destroyed it would be disastrous. I had to appear again on such a short notice because things are moving faster than I would want", the goddess of the seas says, moving her fingers through the harp lightly. "I personally requested a few of my people to move here now that the seas are less safe than ever so they could keep a close eye on the harp. This would avoid the worst outcome, but if that is not enough, the strength of your bonds with each other is and has always been the key. I ask that all of you keep on fighting, and I choose to entrust one of my pearls to you too, Red", she says, a small white light approaching Amy. "For now, I would like you to keep the Harp, Coco, and to bring it to the Pearl Pier right after this. Hippo is going to stay there, and I know he will warn you if you are needed at the hotel. I am really thankful to all of you here for your effort towards keeping everyone safe", Aqua Regina hands the Harp down to Coco before letting herself go back. "Thank you, Aqua Regina", Coco holds the Harp tight to herself.
Hinoiri Kirara	Equivalence let out a low whistle before glancing towards the the goddess and... whew. Good. No lecture. She was 2 for 2 in not getting lectured by Aqua Regina. Let's keep that record going! Her eyes narrowed though when she glanced to the harp. Huh. Now she wondered if Coco could play it. And managed to, barely, suppress the urge to ask to study it. Because the last thing she needed was for any of them to realize who she was. How many nerds did the sparkle side have, anyway? She then glanced to Amy and sighed. "Because all kinds of people have all kinds of types? I don't know. Gaito really was... not mine. But hey, no need to knock someone else's dreams, everyone is someone's type, after all. And we're rarely our own." Dear heavens. Who drinks WINE underWATER?! and the shirt. Button. It. UUUUUUUP! Wait. OH CRUD! She needed to make sure to get to the icy place BEFORE Sailor Moon, otherwise she might... Actually, she likely wouldn't suspect anything. But it'd be weird. "This, however, is where my contribution ends. I'm always here if you need any more dark lover's butt's kicked, though!" She then leaped away! Scampering off... Totally going to beat Usagi back to the icy place. Make her pay, too. It'll be fine, her boyfriend/husband/fiance/space boytoy was rich. Also, she was a princess of something, that had to mean some kind of money. The important thing was some of us had to WORK for our stuff, Usagi! Gosh darn moon princesses... She loved her, though, so it was fine.
Amy Faust	Amy dismisses her weapon at Aqua Regina's explanation. Awkward! "Oh. I see... is this why you're setting up the hotel?" That does seem to be where Aqua Regina's explanation is going. The praise of their bonds makes her feel a bit warm and fuzzy inside. Even... after everything... well, receiving praise from someone like Sora or Aqua Regina has a bit of an effect. And then she's given a pearl. Which is surely an important magical artifact! Amy dismisses her henshin; she figures that even one of Princess Serenity's more casual dresses is more... courtly? and might help make a good impression, and curtseys. "Thank you, your majesty." She steps forward to try and give the queen a hug if she allows. "Um... I'm sorry, I was... I didn't memorize what you said before. What, uh, what do the pearls do exactly?" She looks a ''bit'' awkward and embarassed, but is at least fairly confident that Aqua Regina won't actually get ''mad'' at her and chew her out for this lapse.
Usagi Tsukino	"Oh - sure, but hey, thanks for helping us, mysterious fighter girl!" Sailor Moon looks surprised at the disappearance of Equivalence, but then, that's Mahou life, isn't it? And then there's Amy de-transforming, into a dress she recognizes twice over. She smiles to see it being worn and used the way it should. "Oh, that's a pearl like the one you gave me! And... wait, you're setting up a hotel?" She blinks at the goddess queen being of the seas... "That's pretty cool, I guess. A mertel!" The Pearl is a symbol of their bond, she knows that much, and she's guessing, too, that it's more than just a ''symbol''. Magic stuff usually was.
