Scene #1954: Foot du Jour

Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste had been worrying, stressing, feeling guilty about the last time he ran into Ladybug for awhile now. It was time to have a chat with Naru--And apologize for being stupid about the whole thing. Bearing both coffee, breakfast pastries, and flowers he knocks on Naru's dorm door knowing she was already done with her morning run by now. The coffee and pastries were usual but the flowers were part of hiss apology.
Naru Osaka	Back from her run, and out of the shower and in a merciful move for the ratings, already dressed even! Naru is still drying her hair as she answers the door, uncertain who on earth is stopping by at this hour of the morning, although around here, it could be any number of things. "Adrien!" Naru's voice is surprised, and pleasently so, to see her sweetie on the doorstep. "What's up? I'm not quite ready for class yet, we're early aren't we?" She turns to look for a clock before the fact that he's brought breakfast sinks into her thoughts and she smiles, turning back. "Awww, breakfast! And flowers. How sweet? C'mon in." She leans over to steal a kiss first before geturing him fully into the room.
Adrien Agreste	Guilt aside, Adrien finds himself grinning warmly as soon as Naru opens the door. At the question of being here he chuckles and sweeps the flowers forward, only to pause at the kiss that he is more than happy to reciprocate. At least until urged into actually entering the room. "Sweets for my sweetie," he quips as the pastries are brought in to be set somewhere suitable. "And coffee of course. I thought you might want a bit of breakfast. And the flowers too," he adds offering themn over. His expression shifts a bit looking a little sheepish. "... I really wanted to apologize for the other night. When we were out at the park, and the wedding. I ah. I said a lot of thingss. Stupid things that I thought I'd gotten over."
Naru Osaka	"This whole eating multiple meals a day thing is really ridiculous, you know. Thank you, love. Its sweet and thoughtful and the flowers are lovely." Naru grouses good naturedly as she settles the towel she was drying her hair with over the back of a chair ensuring that the flowers have a place on her eternally neat and tidy desk before she comes to settle on the couch. Breakfast on the couch, apparently, a casual location for what is apparently not that casual a conversation. Naru reaches for the coffee first and tucks her legs up under her as she turns to face him and sips coffee first. "I mean.. the fact that we're together now doesn't mean you were never interested in LadyBug. That's just reality."
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste settles in on the couch as well. Coffee first of course, it was very important to wake up properly. Even if he'd already been awake awhile. Coffee was something they both enjoyed after all. At her bemoaning the whole eating multiple meals situation he can only smile sympathetically. "It would be easier if we didn't have to, but it's also important to keep up your strength. Especially given you're using more of it now than you were accustomed to before." A pause as he adds, with a chuckle, "Though I'm not sure HOW that is, really. You've always been very active." An awkward pause comes while he takes a sip of his drink. "It's a bit more than that. I mean. Not MORE than that, I mean I've been worrying more about it than just that-" He pauses to take a deep breath as he realizes he's starting to ramble. "Ladybug said something to me recently that ... Well, she asked me to call her? Which isn't unusual, we used to coordinate when we patrolled a lot. Just she was always very explicit in making sure I knew that was why we were contacting each other so I didn't get the wrong idea." "But not this time. I'm not sure why ..." He trails off again, and leans to the side so that his shoulder bumps into Naru's gently. "I think that's why I was so busy rambling during the situation we were all in. Part of me does still care for her." Here he pauses, smiling, to lean in and press a kiss to the top of Naru's head. "She's not you, though."
Naru Osaka	"I'm a case study in how many calories magic burns, I'm pretty sure." Naru comments with a soft laugh, reaching for a pastry before they get back to the more awkward bits of the conversation. And there's likely to be plenty. Naru mmmms softly at the kiss, her smile gentle. "You're allowed to like her too. Both as a friend and still kinda be into her. I mean.. you were for ages, and if you still are.. that's like, okay." She bumps his shoulder with hers. "She's gotten tangled up in the back of your head." She grins. "I know she's not me, that would be awkward with the whole Miraculous and my own magic."
Adrien Agreste	"Tangled up... Yeah," Adrien sighs quietly. "That explains it. A lot." Smiling warmly at her he just settles in to sliding his arm around her while they both enjoy the coffee, and pastries. "It makes sense that the energy has to come from somewhere. Even Plagg needs to eat to replenish his energy. Though it doesn't seem to be the same across the board for other mahou. I'll leave the study of such things up to the science types. I'm just a pretty kitty." "Well, I don't really think anything would happen with Ladybug regardless. THAT would be very confusing." "It's a good thing you're not Ladybug. That would bring up SO many questions," he adds jokingly.
Naru Osaka	"Magic is different across the board, but I suspect most of us who use magic have a higher caloric intake than we would without." Naru leans into him comfortably. "It's just hard to notice at a school filled with teenagers. I fear the grocery budget of the school, we can pack away food like crazy." "I mean.. if you're still into her, and she's interested in return." Naru hazards an offer. "You could see if you wanted to try something. We talked about being open to that when we got together and then.. well... didn't." She laughs softly. "So it's not unheard of."
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste reddens just a bit at the suggestion. She was right though, but he just has to pause to think about it a long moment before remembering that whole breathing thing. "I feel as if that would get me into a lot of trouble, somehow." "I'll keep it in mind, but I'm also trying to not get my hopes up in regards to Ladybug. There were so many times I'd get my hopes up, or convince myself I had a chance." All the talk of food as well has him reach for a danish to nibble on. "I like what we have. If ... if things get there then I guess we can re-assess things. I mean, I know you had someone you liked too after all."
Naru Osaka	"It's true." Naru gives him a squeeze. "She might not be interested in more than friends, and that will hurt and suck and I'll remind you how much you're awesome and we'll figure it out together." Because somehow, that's how these things work. "I did.. and he basically ghosted me enough times for me to get the hint that he wasn't as interested as all that." Naru shrugs a little. "And that's okay. I'm delighted with how things worked out." Naru reaches to collect a pastry of her own before settling back to cuddling with Adrien. "Although it feels currently like we are the only monogamous couple at RHA, we'd be breaking that streak if you and Ladybug became a thing."
Adrien Agreste	"Don't be silly. There's..." Adrien pauses, mouth open, to start naming names. And suddenly failing at it. "Well, maybe," he has to agree after not so long consideration. "I thought I'd come up with at least one," he admits chuckling softly. His arm is more than happy to settle around Naru again comfortably as she repositions herself. "I'm sorry that happened to you with him. As for this, I think I'll just have to wait and see on Ladybug. Even if we DID, she's been very strict about not knowing each other's identity." "People still think you, me and Cat Noir are a threesome as it is."
Naru Osaka	"Right!?" Naru giggles softly as he thinks about it and fails to come up with anyone else. "I think it's just us." Naru mmms. "Which.. I get. I mean, there's so few of us who know that you're Chat Noir." She pauses and then grins. "The fact that you don't even wholly know who Ladybug's alterego is.. that's so odd to me. I mean.. what if you're not into her, but just Ladybug?" She shakes her head a little. Naru grins. "I wonder how Lunar Knight fits into things. Is she dating you? Chat Noir? Both of you? Are both of you dating both of me? The gossip potential expands now that I have another identity too."
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste bites into the pastry chewing it with a bit of crow as she mentions not being into who Ladybug really is. "I've thought of that. Plagg has pointed that out, too," he admits. Having Plagg point out anything rational seems a bit of a stretch so clearly this was an Obvious Thing to anyone actually considering the situation. "I'd like to think that I could accept whoever she actually is. You're right though; I don't know for certain." The talk of Lunar Knight earns a grin that goes nearly ear to ear. "Clearly she and Cat Noir are dating, but then we all know he's a hopeless flirt."
Naru Osaka	"It seems like it would be really odd to be into Ladybug and not into whoever her alter ego is." Naru comments and then gives him a squeeze. "Then again, the vast majority of people I know are utterly open about their alternative selves, so it's hard to distinguish between the two people, if one can even really call them two people. Just two sides of the same coin." Naru giggles softly. "He's a delightful flirt." She confirms with a grin. "I can totally see how Lunar Knight was charmed."
Adrien Agreste	"It does make things a bit hard at times. I find myself thinking of 'Cat Noir' as not me on occasion, even though it is. It's just I can kind of be silly and act as 'not Adrien Agreste' like that," Adrien admits quietly. It was interesting having an alter ego. "I imagine there are times not having to hide identities must be really helpful." The grin returns again, and he leans in to press a quick, tender kiss to Naru's cheek. "Naturally! And how could Cat Noir not be drawn to a strong, capable fighter like Lunar Knight? Especially when she looks so cute in that outfit!" Okay that may be a bit much.
Naru Osaka	"I mean.. he's you but he's not you at the same time." Naru considers that. "You are more sillier and freer and flirtier when you're him." She smiles, clearly not minding at all. "I keep finding it odd to know who I tell and who I don't, and should I tell people or not?" She mmms. "I now just assume everyone knows. Or most people at least." Naru grins, turning her head to kiss him back. "You just appreciate that somehow even in armour, I still have a pretty short skirt." She teases him. "Because who even figured that had to make sense. My legs dont need protection much, they're fine."
Adrien Agreste	Adrien Agreste tips his head back considering with an expression that states he might have a thing or two to say about that! It's just not what one might expect of a teenage boy. "There actually was a time when 'light armored' dueling was a thing. They didn't really have any armor for the legs so they could be quicker. Maybe a bit of padded leggings, but otherwise not much. It just wasn't really considered 'fair' to aim for the legs... And it was usually one-on-one, not a full on battle situation." "I can't say that's really what the makers of your Knight armor were really thinking about, though. I mean. Moon kingdom stuff, right?" Eyebrows lift a bit questioningly. "I think a lot of that is just guessing even on the part of your friends."
Naru Osaka	"Obsidian and the Dark Kingdom, they aren't very good at the whole 'fighting fair' thing." Naru points out with a rueful smile. "And we're generally not fighting formal duels either. Although it IS nice to be able to be quick, it's true. I'm pretty fond of my armour, but it's pretty much by definition perfect for me." Naru nods in agreement. "Moon Kingdom stuff. There's a lot of learning as we go, it's true. More so for me, I think. Or it feels that way a lot of the time."
Adrien Agreste	"True, true," Adrien sighs dramatically. "No honor in swords anymore. Though I doubt there much was in reality most likely. I've been practicing some with Tamaki if you want to join us some time?" Not that he was against boy hanging out time, but he knew she was using a sword now too! A glance to his watch has him make a face. "We should probably get going if we don't want to be late to class."
