Setsuna Meiou The infirmary at the Radiant Heart Academy is, as perhaps expected, just as swank as the rest of the school. It's a large, well-supplied room separated with some of those rolling medical divider walls. Fairly nice beds can be seen here and there through gaps, and the main area is set up like a typical waiting room/nurse's station, complete with posters giving info about various adolescent diseases/conditions/problems.

One poster that stands out a little from the rest is a cartoon of two doctors standing over a patient lying on a bed with an arrow sticking up out of their arm. The caption reads:
'At a guess, I believe this arrow might be the source of her pain.'

As is often the case, the school nurse can be found between patients to be leaning against one of the counters in the infirmary, book in one hand with a picture of a scruffy, trenchcoat-wearing man holding a staff and a large revolver (for some reason this time rendered apparently with a rather blue-white filter on the color pallete) in one hand and absently rolling a pen through the fingers of her other hand.
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara was doing pretty good on her recent streaming content (Shimmer Code, check it out, it's totally NOT awful. Even if she yells at the games a lot.) As such, she was planning to do something special soon... with Catra.

As such, she'd require a special thing. Costumes. She'd heard for such things that, surprisingly, the school nurse was apparently incredible at it.

So now she was headed to visit her. There was a light knock on the door and her eyes wavered over the posters for a moment before focusing on the nurse and her disappearing magic pen.

"Hey, Meiou-sensei? I heard you were... one of the people to come to about... how to put it... I plan to do a stream soon and will be cosplaying a bit for it. Rumor around the school is that you're the person to talk to about stuff like that. Getting clothes, props, stuff like that."
Setsuna Meiou As Hinoiri pokes her head into the room, Nurse Meiou glances up at her and smiles, "Greetings, Miss Kirara. Please, enter freely and of your own will."

When the younger woman asks about costumes, however, the pen in her fingers stops spinning and the nurse's expression changes a little to something rarely seen by most of the students.

Surprise.

There's a beat, then Nurse Meiou smiles, "Well...indeed. Come. Have a seat and let me know what you're looking for."

As she straightens up, her pen vanishes with a twist of her wrist to be replaced by a seeming hole in space. It's dimensions change slightly as she shifts her fingers, making it seem that she's manipulating it somehow...and then she uses it to mark her place in her book, which she then shuts (revealing it's title in English to be 'Peace Talks') and sets on the counter before waving Hinoiri to one of the seats and taking another chair not far from it, "What kind of costumes and props were you looking for?"
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara had managed to actually surprise the nurse? Odd, she really hadn't expected that. Perhaps she'd overestimated the nurse. Or underestimated herself. Either or, she supposed.

She also noted the bookmark slash black hole the nurse seemed to enjoy. She walked over to take a seat, sliding into it with a light grunt. "Well... nothing too major. A friend of mine who's..." Pause. "Catra. I'm going to invite Catra out for a nice game night and I figure if I'm dressed up in something silly, it'll make her not feel like she's going to get flash banged and dragged off to some kind of government research lab and, hey, streaming stuff has people in costumes all the time, so why not? So I guess something... animal-ish?"
Setsuna Meiou As her visitor mentions Catra, Nurse Meiou frowns for a moment...and then after another visibly shrugs. Apparently she's had less than pleasant interactions with the rather prickly cat-woman.

Which, to be fair, is NOT a short list.

She gives a shake of her head as she dismisses her worry, then taps her chin, "How inovlved a costume were you interested in? And what games are you planning to be playing...because sticking to theme will likely work better than just something random."

While she speaks, she reaches over to a nearby drawer and opens it to retrieve a legal pad before closing it, and she twirls her fingers to produce a pencil that she readies...apparently preparing to make some quick idea sketches.
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara gave a small shrug. "I don't know. I got this one game where you play as like, big warrior women and then fight robots and stuff and, considering her utter focus on She-ra, I can almost guarantee she'll choose that. That or the puzzle game. Since she's a cat, I figured I'd do something like.... puppy? Or another cat? Nothing too wild, though. Like... I was actually thinking about going as a werewolf this year for halloween, seemed fun. Also, I figure it'll be amusing to like, walk up and spook..." Then paused. "Actually, no. No spooking Usagi this year. I can feel my ears instinctively ringing already. Ow."

".... And I know Catra's kind of... a bitch. But there is a lot of good in her, you know. It's just... buried. And takes some work to get out. She's just... not the best at expressing how she really feels..."

"... You get that way when you've never really been in a place you could safely express yourself, you know?" Hinoiri mumbled, her arms giving herself a hug when she said that.
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou raises a hand defensively, "No, you're right. I get it. And to be fair, I don't disagree with your point...it's just that my last two interactions with the girl have been rather INTENSELY negative...so you'll have to forgive that little reflexive reaction."

She then raises a hand to cover a slight giggle at the mention of spooking Usagi, "...well, if you DO decide to give Usagi-chan a minor fright, I'm fairly certain I can get some active noise cancelling earplugs...just keep it in mind."

A few quick scribbles are done on the pad of paper...just some quick sketches of headbands with various kinds of dog or cat ears, "...can you pull up some of the official art from the game? If you've got a favorite character, making a specific costume to match shouldn't be terribly hard. It's just a matter of how elaborate you want to go with things. Also, how much lead time are we working with? Is this something you intended for this weekend?"

As she waits for some further details, she makes an absent doodle of Hinoiri dressed as She-ra.
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara gave a shrug. "Ehhhh. My second to last meeting with her, she tried to kill me. The last one, we had a chat as I was very tiny. Before that, I gave her a hug and just... she's a mess. But she's not the worst. She's just... oh she is just such a mess."

"... Noise cancelling earplugs. Those. Those might be useful. And uhhh... no, not really. I actually haven't played it much. I've been playing a lot of this open world game where I get to ride on a motorcycle and uhhhh... I could probably sketch some things out if needed. Uhhhh, hold on..." She pulled out her phone and then went through it before... snorting. "Oh, yeah, that girl is *way* too She-ra. She-- Oh, hello." And then held up her phone, showing... yeah. That was definitely a main villain. In red and black, with a 'I would step on you but I don't want to have to shake you off my boots' glare.

"I'd probably be something like her, she's the..." She trailed off. "Bad... guy... huh. Weird... I thought she'd be one of the heroes, she looks awesome."

Hinoiri had a style and it was not 'good guy'.
Setsuna Meiou Setsuna hrms and begins sketching. Every few moments, she looks at either the picture on the phone or Hinoiri herself...occasionally making a little gesture at the other young woman to indicate 'look that way for a moment, please' before going back to scribbling.

After a good two or three minutes of this, she twirls her fingers...and the pencil is replaced by a colored pencil...this one in red.

There are a few roughed scribbles across part of the paper before that pencil is twirled away and replaced with a different one with what appears to be a charcoal tip.

Once more there are some brief, bold strokes across the paper to rough in the final colors before Nurse Meiou stops, holds the pad out at arm's length for a moment and looks between it and the picture on Hinoiri's phone before nodding and twirling the pad around to show her guest.

On the page are the several aforementioned doodles of dog and cat ear headbands...the 'Hinoiri as She-Ra' doodle in one corner...but the main part of the paper is taken over by a large sketch of a faceless figure in something not unilke Hinoiri's normal one-sided hair cascade with an high collared black half-jacket over a red blouse with a modest v neck. A small necklace hangs from a choker while the blouse is tucked into a pair of black leather pants obviously cribbed from the design of motorcycling leathers and some boots with a noticable if modest wedge heel.

There are definite calls to the design of the character Hinoiri showed a picture of...and it wouildn't be hard to imagine it as something said character might wear in a non-combat setting.

Nurse Meiou waits for a few moments for Hinoiri to get a good look, then asks, "Something similar to this, maybe?"
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara turned away as requested, giving a small shrug. Huh, kind of reminded her of Michiru. Of course, when she looked back... her eyes lit up. "Oh my gosh, that's incredible! Yes, perfect," Hinoiri said with a grin. "Huh. Actually, one of the girls at Obsidian had a look like this, too."

... Hinoiri had a look like that. It turned out the girls who burned, all burned together. Their wardrobes, at least.

However, then her eyes glanced down to... "... Is that... me as She-ra? Oh, never let Catra see that. She will *literally* kill you or me and I can't say who."

Catra was her friend. As such, Catra often made poor choices. Hinoiri accepted that, as none of her friends made good choices. That was what made them her friends.

"So, how would you suggest going about doing that? Like... on a limited... well, not too limited budget now. Working for the Little Mermaid does have some pros." Oddly, not many cons, either.
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou turns the pad back around, and she absently begins scribbling in a few numbers here and there...after a few moments, it becomes clear they're measurements for the costume.

Which Nurse Meiou apparently just knows offhand.

Or she's got a REALLY good memory from the last physical.

Either way, she hrms back and forth for a few moments, then taps her lips, "Well, the only part of this that I can't just do myself is going to be the boots, but if you can find a pair of shoes you can walk in at a secondhand store, I can modify them to look like these."

She trails off for a few moments, absently pointing at various places around the drawing as she apparently doublechecks she's got her figures right.

As the nurse finishes, she blinks and looks over at Hinoiri, apparently just now having processed the last bit of what she said, then shrugs, "...so whatever those shoes set you back, I suppose?"
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara cocked an eye, opening her mouth, then paused. And... she then nodded. "Yeah, I've got an... oddly large amount of boots, actually. I swear I spent like, a month just trying to find boots that didn't feel weird and like proper hooves."

"... Nothing worked. Do, uhhhh.... do... you have my measurements memorized? Eh... heh heh... that's... totally not weird or anything," Hinoiri said with just a hint of a nervous chuckle.

"... So, has the stuff I gave you guys been of any use? Close down all the doorways, make sure Obsidian can't send in any assassins to remove certain talented and promising students who make this school more amazing?" she asked sheepishly.
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou snorts, "We just had to redo your paperwork a few weeks ago, I haven't had time to forget them yet, and I've done enough seamstress work that I can rough sizes at a glance, so between the two it was fairly easy."

Absently, she doodles another picture in the margins...this one apparently of CATRA dressed as She-Ra...holding the Sword aloft and everything.

Which she then snickers at and shows to Hinoiri, "Well, if you can spare a set of boots that you don't mind having altered, I can make them look like these fairly easily, then. Just drop them off sometime and I can probably get this all done in a few days, then I'll need you to try it on so I can make some final alterations, but unless I miss something huge, I can probably do most of those by hand in an hour or two."

Nodding to herself, Nurse Meiou sets the pad down, then looks back over to Hinoiri, "Actually, yes. There was a little back and forth about whether to leave one or more monitored and open as traps, but I think the final consensus was better to fully secure the grounds instead. Which co-incided nicely with some other things to help secure the campus. It should be rather harder to use or access Dark Energy here on the campus soon, and Inai-sensei probably has more things she's working on. She's got rather more resources along those lines than I do."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara blinked a few times, opening her mouth, then shrugged. "Eh, fair enough. At least you're not sizing me up for a coffin or anything."

She did, however, snicker at the picture of Catra. "Oh. Oh please do not show that one to Catra or Riventon. They both have too many bad ideas in relation to Catra with a sword already and I do NOT want to get stabbed again. Once was enough, thank you very much." Pause. "Almost twice, actually."

Nevermind the fact, technically, both times were her fault.

"Ohhhh, that's good, then. That you people are handling it well. I mean, taking it seriously. I'd... yeah. I ummmm, I guess I'm happy I could help, and all. So, uhhhh, thanks. For that. And for the help with this. I'll uhhh, leave you too it. So, ummmm... what's the damage? Or is this kind of a..." She then trailed off. "It's not *charity*, is it? Because... I... don't need that. I can accept the job thing from the mermaid, but I don't need other people paying my way or anything. I'm a big girl and I can fend for myself. And this is something for me."
Setsuna Meiou At Hinoiri's question about cost and not wanting charity, Nurse Meiou blinks at her in open confusion for a few moments, then finally snorts and shakes her head, "Miss Kirara, this kind of costuming is something I do FOR FUN. Seriously. If I wasn't making this for you, I'd be making something else."

She twists her wrist in an odd little gesture and produces her phone, which she quickly unlocks and rummages through for a few moments before finding a picture that she shows to the younger woman.

It's a selfie of Setsuna wearing a complicated costume that involves a black duster with lots of little armored plates here and there over some kind of arrangement of a black and white crop top and white skirt with red leggings. Strangely, she's also wearing a belt that appears to be one solid ring of metal...and there's a very conspicuous golden crystanthemum in the center as well as some headdress arrangement that also seems to be mostly metal going around the sides of her head with two larger pointy bits protruding back and to either side. The backdrop is a large building that looks like someone made a building by taking four pyramids and balancing them upside down on huge pillars, then building a venue between and through them. There are also apparently quite a few other people in various costumes milling about in between her and the building.

She lets Hinoiri look at that for a few moments, then puts her phone away again, "This was a few weeks ago."

She shrugs, "So, yeah. I'd do this for free...but if you absolutely MUST pay me back?"

She hrms, tapping her lips for a few moments before giving a shrug, "Eh, bring me donuts some day and I'll call it even."
Hinoiri Kirara Hinoiri Kirara blinked a few times before she gave a small snort. "Heh. You're a nerd." She didn't say it in a mean, mocking way. She said it with a bit of actual affection. "Well, that's nice, at least. And sure, if it's something you enjoy, then I don't mind you spending some time on that."

She, at least, seemed to enjoy finding out that the nurse had her own special hobby that brought her joy.

"I can bring you some donuts, but if you're hoping for those from Kirakirafantastica, sadly, that well has run dry. The portal back home hasn't opened since I... well... tried to destroy your world. And all. So ummm... yeah. I can't... get those. So they'd just be normal boring earth donuts. Sorry," Hinoiri said, a little hint of concern and worry in her tone. "Either way, though. I should get out of your hair. It was, uhhhh, nice talking with you. Thanks."
Setsuna Meiou Nurse Meiou smiles and pats Hinoiri on the shoulder, "I'll be fine with normal Earth donuts."

She then stands up and absently waves, "Just drop off those boots whenever you can and I should have it together for you a few days after."
