Table Tennis of Revelations
Date of Scene: 28 May 2025
Location: Sports Pavilion
Synopsis: A game of table tennis occurs while Sayaka tells Madoka and Homura all about what she found out from Hiddenite, and in the end, the bluenette leaves to give the two some space.
Cast of Characters: Sayaka Miki, Madoka Kaname

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka's date with Hiddenite was definitely of the happy variety, but it also gave her a lot to think about, and a lot to share. Her new date has definitely proven to be a surprising source of important information along with the guess on her part that he is someone who quit Obsidian. That definitely made a lot of sense to her even if she didn't actually get a confirmation from him. Maybe due to him keeping up his Hiddenite guise, or maybe due to laying low from Obsidian.

<PHONE> Sayaka Miki texts Madoka Kaname: Hey, Madoka. Wanna play some table tennis?
<PHONE> Sayaka Miki texts Madoka Kaname: Got told some things you want to hear.
<PHONE> Sayaka Miki texts Madoka Kaname: You can bring Homura too, I am sure she would be interested.

The texts were sent as soon as clubs were done for the day, and Sayaka is now waiting for her childhood friend inside the Sports Pavilion, having already made a grab for her own racket and a ball, while Madoka's lies flat on the opposite side of the surface. Next to the table, she has dragged a smaller table, and placed a scorekeeper on top of it. Whoever had used it before had won by 12-10.

The bluenette resets the score, and then addresses the tiny mermaid on her shoulder. "What do you say, Ula? Wanna play scorer for us?", to an uncertain hum. "What if one of Madoka's Charas want to?", she replies, nonetheless going from Sayaka's shoulder to the smaller tables. "We can talk about it when she gets here, but you can just take turns", Sayaka suggests.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka still isn't sure what she thinks of Hiddenite, but she's glad that Sayaka's having a good time. It's not as if he's the first questionable guy to date someone she cared about, even if she feels a little extra defensive of her childhood friend. Sayaka deserves to be treated well, after all.

Homura, meanwhile, is pretty sure Hiddenite is a jerk somehow and she has nothing to base this on other than 'I don't know, vibes I guess?'

Whoever he is, if he has info from Obsidian, the two of them would be interested.

<PHONE> Madoka Kaname texts Sayaka Miki: Oh, sure! What kinds of things?

<PHONE> Madoka Kaname texts Sayaka Miki: Oh... ah, I'll be sure to tell her, then.

<PHONE> Madoka Kaname texts Sayaka Miki: We'll be there soon!

It's the end of the school day, and Madoka and Homura are both wearing casual clothing. Madoka in a white T-shirt with a pink outline of a cat printed on the front and a cream colored skirt, while Homura wears a black blouse with jean shorts and a spike choker. Kamiko and Brai are hovering after them, because Madoka is never far from her Chara.

The moment Madoka sees Sayaka she lifts one hand in the air and waves, and so do the two fairies. Homura doesn't at first, until she side-glances at the rest of her party and realizes that she's the only one not waving, at which point she lifts her hand to shoulder height and waves it slightly.

Once they get closer, Kamiko floats closer to Ula and says, "Hiii~!" Then she glances at the scorekeeper and says, "Oh, are you keeping score?"

Brai waves her arms in the air and says, "Oh, I wanna be referee!"

Madoka pets Brai on the head for a moment before walking up to her childhood friend to offer a hug. "Sayaka-chan! Nice to see you again."

Homura stands a few feet away from the net with her hands behind her back, keeping her purple eyes on Sayaka. "It's been a while, Sayaka Miki."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka is wearing an open sky-blue hoodie zip-up hoodie over a white tee with a blue bass clef and semiquaver printer in big characters on it, a navy blue midi pleated skirt and white high-top canvas sneakers. A small silver pendant in the shape of a cutlass hangs from her neck, encrusted with tiny sapphire shards, courtesy of Ula. Her brass-coloured hairpin has been replaced by an azure mermaid tail hairpin.

"Hi, Madoka-chan!", Sayaka waves back with a wide smile as soon as she sees the pinkette approach, returning the hug right after. "For sure! Anything new?" The waving that is also extended to Kamiko, Brai and Homura. An amused smirk is given to the latter at hearing her method of address. "You can use my first name, you know. I am practically your future sister-in-law", the bluenette teases the raven beauty, giving a wink to Madoka as she says it.

"Hi, Kamiko-chan!", Ula returns the enthusiastic greeting, simultaneously waving to Brai. "That's what we were discussing before you came. If I do that, you two can be the referee and the umpire. How about going with that?"

While the trio of fairies distribute their roles among themselves, Sayaka points to the opposite side with her table with her racket. "Wanna play with me, Madoka-chan?", her tone shifts to a more relaxed timbre. "I had another date with Hiddenite, and a lot of interested things came out, about him and about Obsidian."

Madoka Kaname has posed:
"Oh I love your outfit," praises Madoka after pulling back from the hug. "It looks so cute on you!"

Homura raises an eyebrow at Sayaka's response, before looking away and running her hand through her hair. "Sorry. Old habit. I've spent the last decade pretending I've only met you less than a month ago."

Then her brain finally processes the 'sister-in-law' comment and the black-haired girl's cheeks get a little red. Madoka notices her girlfriend's cuteness and giggles. As much as Homura is trying to play it cool, the fact is that she's struggling and failing to come up with a response.

Sayaka has a point though. Maybe Homura should ask what Madoka's ring size is...

Madoka, meanwhile, is all too comfortable with the idea of marrying Homura. Well, she's blushing a little bit, but she's not denying a single thing. They already basically live together. She leans against her girlfriend for a moment before taking up a spot on the opposite side of the table. "I'd love to play with you, my dear sister Sayaka-chan." After she takes up her paddle, she blinks at Sayaka and says, "Oh! Well, I'm glad you got another chance to see him." Crossing her arms and letting her paddle rest on her elbow, Madoka asks, "So he's your source of information? Huh. What exactly did he say?"

Homura glances at the fairies for a moment before taking a step back from the table. She looks at Sayaka and asks, "Was that his method of impressing you? I hope he's not actually still with them. Leaking information from Obsidian isn't exactly wise."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Don't worry about it, don't worry about it", Sayaka waves dismissively, all too pleased to notice her comment hit the mark. She pretty much had the right hunch about them then. Though, she thinks it would be a big 'achievement' to miss the two are serious, so she can't exactly take credit.

"Yours is very cute too, great picks all around, the tee especially", she watches Madoka take place in front of her. "You are the best sister, Madoka-chan", she keeps playing along, doing a few test bounces of the ball on the table.

"Well, he confirmed the Jar of Memories is called that because it houses memories, so there was important information in there. He said this is from his knowledge as the Silver Millennium's head archivist", she explains with a tone that doesn't conceal she doesn't really believes how he got to know of it.

Homura's question makes the bluenette shake her head. "He is a nice guy, besides the secrets. He is into classical music as much as I am. That's why I want to keep knowing him more", she says, finally serving, the ball bouncing on Madoka's side once before heading a bit to the pinkette's right.

"But there are other things he said that make me think he was part of Obsidian, because after talking about the Jar, we started talking about the Fade", she adds.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Homura, aside from her once weak heart going pitter patter, seems to get a bit more relaxed as the conversation moves on. Neither she nor Madoka are hiding what their relationship is, nor do they feel any need to. They are a couple and plan to remain that way.

The minidokas, meanwhile, are all too happy to assume their roles as previously discussed. Brai takes a position in line with the net so that she can more clearly see where the ball is going, while Kamiko takes an overhead view. The score card is entrusted to Ula. Madoka is watching the ball closely and hitting it back to Sayaka, focusing more on not losing than actually scoring a shot. A reflection of her almost too-nice nature, maybe.

Homura glances at Madoka for a moment when Sayaka says that Hiddenite's a nice guy, then looks back to the bluenette. "Hm." She crosses her arms and considers Sayaka for a moment. Is that a result of the PreCure loosening up a bit, or is he actually somewhat less suspicious than they originally thought? "Well, as long as he's nice to you. We all have secrets in this lifestyle. Has he mentioned playing an instrument?"

Madoka shifts to the right and bounces the ball back to Sayaka's side before saying, "So this Jar of Memories... are we meant to think that using the Jar would have circumvented the Fade somehow?"

Kamiko chimes in, "I think another question is: are there other ways to retain your memories? We know about Inai-sensei already, but even she doesn't get to use her full powers anymore."

Homura closes her eyes and adds, "I suppose that's the other side of it, isn't it? It's not just about losing your memories. It's also losing your magic."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
A negative answer awaits Homura with a shake of Sayaka's head. "He hasn't, but he has talked about composers he enjoys. There is this composer called Kaija Saariaho that he has talked quite fondly about. With some concession from his heritage, it seems", Sayaka muses, giving the ball back to Madoka, staying on a relaxed offensive, one only meant to keep the game moving.

"Maybe? Or maybe there was some information in it that would have been useful for us. If the Jar keeps our memories safe, can we still have them?", she questions with a skeptical expression. A Jar would be for storage, and so they wouldn't have anything they store there now, right? "Would we even remember to check in there?"

"After that, he talked about how Obsidian has been experimenting on the Fade for some time, he seemed awfully sure about that. I am not sure how a head archivist from the Silver Millenium would know that, even if his power is to know things", she nods to herself. "He also brought up a fracture between him and Mamoru's four guys, so I suggested to talk with him about it."

She gives Kamiko a brief glance when she asks about alternative methods. "You stored Madoka's memories for her, from those other timelines. Would you be able to do it again? It would probably only work for her, but if you can check..." It's her first guess she has about another method. She sets her gaze in front of her again. "But you also know magical girls that aren't actually human, right? How do they manage their powers?"

Usagi is practically an alien too, but this is her second life, so she is not sure being removed from it a bit would change things any. She has never talked about being safe from the Fade either.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Homura frowns slightly at Sayaka's response. A duet between a piano and... whatever Hiddenite might have played could have been interesting, but maybe that's not meant to be. "Kaija Saariaho? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that name, but it doesn't exactly sound German. Is this a modern classical composer?" The Puella knows that's probably a contradiction in terms, but she's vaguely aware that there are modern musicians who emulate the classical style.

"Good questions," says Madoka, getting a little more into the game, taking shots that are a little more difficult to respond to, but they are more like teases than killing shots. Meant to keep Sayaka on her toes and focused, more than anything. "I could believe it if there was sensitive information in the Jar. Obsidian might have been plugging a leak."

At the mention of a fracture between Mamoru's people and Hiddenite, Madoka frowns. "Hinoiri-chan and I actually talked to Mamo-kun about that. It seems like they have no idea who he is. Honestly, I would actually trust him more if he hadn't taken an -ite name, or tied his backstory to 5 guys who don't even remember him."

After a pause to return the ball, Madoka adds, "Mamoru's boys don't seem to like him at all. I'm not sure I can blame them. Someone coming along at random, whom you don't even know, claiming to be a friend..." After a moment she reconsiders her words and says, "A-ah... sorry, Homura-chan, I didn't mean to--"

Homura clears her throat and says, "It's fine." There's a little bit of tension in her back. A nerve was hit, yet Madoka can do no sin in Homura's eyes, so she overlooks it.

Kamiko watches the game from above with crossed arms, but when Sayaka addresses her she speaks up. "Well, those memories were tied directly to Madoka's potential, but I'm not sure if those would help or not. For obvious reasons... Madoka-chan has never actually reached the Fade before. Er... sorry, Homura-chan."

Another nerve hit. Homura is twitching slightly. "Its. Fine. Really." Neither Kamiko nor Madoka are convinced that it's fine, but they're pretty convinced they can make it up to Homura later, so they both spare her an apologetic glances for now.

Kamiko goes on, "Well, did you hear about Chrono's mom? I was there when they found her. Now, if she had never come to Earth, she'd probably still have her memories, but here?" The divine Fairy crosses her arms in front of her and shakes her head 'no'. "Complete memory wipe. She's Faded. The Arthra computer recognized her, but she had no idea that magic was even happening right in front of her. I don't think that the Fade is a thing that happens off of Earth, and it didn't seem to happen in the alternate future either. It's an Us problem."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"I have only listened to a very few of her compositions, but I believe she is from Finland. It's true she is more modern than the norm for classical compositions." She only died a few years ago in fact, if she remembers well, and she too, happens to like older ones more in general, even if she keeps herself informed on all kinds of classical music. "But I like her music, I could let you hear sometimes. The one we talked about is called Laterna Magica." Or she could just check it on YouTube. It's quite known about her classmates that Sayaka is very retro, with her CDs and more.

She just focuses on the ball for a moment, furrowing slightly when he sees the ball come back to her much faster than before, hitting it just barely with the ease she had sunken into. That's on her, she thinks, giving Madoka a smile, her eyes showing more energy now that Madoka is focusing on keeping her alert. "Good shot, Madoka-chan."

Sayaka nods when Madoka shares her considerations about it to her. "Yeah, that's, uh, one of the weird things. I am not sure why you would choose something so easy to disprove, even if he keep insisting they couldn't have known about him. I told him there was no problem if he ditched Obsidian, that we have others who did the same, but he didn't budge any."

She watches her ball shoot right past Madoka without ever landing on her side, and Ula turns Madoka's 0 to a 1 accordingly. She had gotten too much on the defensive there apparently. "It's not very wise if you are gonna share info about Obsidian's core", she shakes her head disapprovingly. "Even if he is doing it to protect himself, I would just find a better cover." She doesn't subscribe to tricking your allies in order to trick your enemies though, if he actually sees himself as an ally.

"We talked about how Obsidian might be able to do such a thing, and that's when he brought up Obsidian's central reactor is spending a lot of energy fueling something that doesn't involve the Heartseeker rifles or other projects."

Sayaka hums pensively for a few second before speaking up. "I guess not even being an alien saves you from the Fade. What about those who would be out of place even without their memories, like Catra or your mermaid friends?" Sayaka raises an eyebrow at Homura's twitches. "Hey, Homura-san, it's thanks to you Madoka is here now, and I think that goes for me too. Don't let that get at you, you did well", she peers at the other girl inquisitively.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Homura considers for a moment the story that Sayaka tells her about the Finish composer. She takes out her phone and searches for Laterna Magica, and since she's not wearing headphones the somewhat haunting opening tones can be heard from her tinny little speakers.

"... Interesting music choice for someone named Hiddenite," notes Homura.

Madoka gets a bemused smirk on her face as she listens, saying, "Kinda adds a bit of drama to our table tennis match, doesn't it?"

After her shot is complimented, Madoka smiles and says, "Thanks!" Though maybe the encouragement makes her a bit more enthusiastic. She doesn't want to let up, now!

Then Madoka frowns a bit as Sayaka talks about the holes in Hiddenite's story, even kind of furrowing her brow a bit. "I mean, that's kind of odd, isn't it? Another thing I wonder is like... why Mamo's boys in specific? Does he have a reason to want to get close with them, or tie his reputation to them somehow? Honestly, it's hard to imagine a truth that would be worse than being this dodgy."

Sayaka's missed shot gets an 'oop' out of Madoka. Homura watches it bounce away and then walks over to retrieve it, since she's not doing anything else at the moment. "Thanks, Homu-chan," says Madoka.

"Of course," says the purple Puella. On the way back, she stops in her tracks. "The core? The Reactor? The one in Obsidian HQ?" Homura has never once figured out what that reactor does or what it's for, though she has heard of it. "Interesting... so there's a chance it may be feeding the Fade."

Madoka has to consider her mermaid friends and others as the game starts up again. She serves to Sayaka, starting out slow this time, because really they are both focused on the conversation for now, and the table tennis is just an activity they're doing. "Well... I don't think Coco-chan would have a problem. Otherwise her entire kingdom wouldn't make any sense. Also, there are some immortal beings, like Aqua Regina or Blue, who I'm pretty sure are immune to the Fade somehow. I don't know what would happen to Catra because I don't think anyone from their world is old enough to be affected. Not that I know of anyways."

Homura glances towards Sayaka and... is actually quietly surprised at the compliment? Okay, wow, Sayaka is very different from how she remembers her. Perhaps what doesn't kill you really does make you stronger. The veteran Puella closes her eyes and says, "... thank you. That means a lot coming from you, but... honestly, I don't really think I helped out much in this timeline on that front. Other than watching out for Gretchen once in a while."

It might be hard to tell because her stony expression doesn't change much, but way that Homura looks at Sayaka is a little bit softer now.

Homura flips her hair and says, "I'm glad you're not a Puella Magi anymore. It's good to see... a version of you that was able to get past the rough spots. I haven't seen that much of this side of you."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka takes a few moments to listen to the music coming out from Homura's speakers. It does get a little bit less haunting, but that's pretty the vibe right now. "He has also listened to the other composers I brought up, but this one reminds me of the music that used to play in Oktavia's Labyrinth a bit. I am quite sure he doesn't know that was me. We never met out of henshin, and my new transformation should count differently for the Veil."

Sayaka nods, playing back that moment in her mind. "That's what he was getting at, but I don't know how we are ever going to get that close to it. That would require all of us, if that is enough."

She smiles at Madoka's cheerfulness, and tosses the ball to the pinkette's side, watching it bounce once. "Must be pretty sweet to have a kingdom you rule over. I haven't asked Blue, but he does talk like he is really old. Do you think so too?", she asks Madoka. "I guess none of them will have any problem. Maybe if we can find a way to get that protection for us too... Easier than invading Obsidian."

"I think Hiddenite may be a henshin like Equivalence was", she muses. "He has told me day one he is much weaker, so it makes sense if he has put it together from random pieces, whatever his reasons to want to be one of Mamoru's. Probably he just quit Obsidian."

She nods awkwardly when Homura acts so surprised. Sometimes she forgets how hard dealing with her had been. And it's not a measure she likes to resort to happily. "I am glad too have gotten past that... I had a hard time standing myself too, when I was split. But I feel way better like this, more able to help out people", she smiles at Homura.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka listens to Sayaka's commentary on the music for a bit. If there's anyone on campus whose taste or input on classical music she trusts, it's the bluenettes. "Even though you called yourself Sharpsong in both?" she asks, "Well... I guess that makes sense. I think technically Hope Concept and Hope Blossom count as different henshins too, but I don't really keep them secret." It's a little hard to really, since Madoka is surrounded by little fairies at all times.

Homura frowns and suddenly gets insistent. "It wont be. At least... I wouldn't bet on it. Generally when I've tried in the past to get us all to storm Obsidian HQ, it doesn't go well for us. If we try to reach such a dangerous place, then we need to have stealth and a solid exit strategy. Even then, there's no guarantee we'll even be able to do anything if we find the reactor."

Brai also chimes in, keeping her eye on the game. "Even Kamiko would have to be careful, because they can detect her Labyrinth portal even if she tries really hard to hide it. You can bet Easter has already helped them find ways to stop sneaky Chara from infiltrating the building."

Madoka considers having a kingdom to rule over, and comments, "Honestly? Being a mermaid in of itself has a certain appeal. I bet the world looks very different when you live in a magically aware society, too." As for Blue, she shrugs. "I remember trying to be a PreCure in previous cycles. Sadly, I mostly only remember the bad times, so a lot of my friendships got forgotten."

Homura adds, "He certainly speaks as if he has wisdom beyond his apparent years."

Madoka knocks the ball back and forth with Sayaka as they play, and eventually she slips up and lets a ball get past her. This time it's Brai who runs after it. Madoka awkwardly laughs as she says, "W-well, that's a point for you, Saya-chan."

On Hiddenite, Homura shrugs. "I can see why someone would want to attach themselves to Mamoru's group. They're pretty close knit, and tied to a lot of other people. Thing is though... if he wanted to be Mamoru's friend it'd almost be easier to just ask than make up a story."

Madoka comments while playing, "I bet you're right. He's made up his own henshin because he can't use his old Obsidian one for some reason, and he doesn't want to disclose who he used to be."

Homura doesn't really comment on how hard Sayaka was to deal with. She's had her frustrations, but this is her beloved's best friend and the last thing she'd want to do is make her feel bad or cause a rift. "Well, very few people take well to becoming a Puella Magi, and it's often the most idealistic who suffer the worst fates. Believe me I'm no better when it comes to being difficult sometimes." She reaches up to brush some hair behind her ear. "Being a PreCure is much more suitable for someone who wants to fight for justice."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"I think so?" This is pretty much the only time she has had a different henshin, so it's kind of hard to tell for her. And when she has used the PreCards it's always been in front of others, with the dog PreCard as the only exception, so she doesn't know what that does. But she doesn't know if that actually counts as a full-blown henshin since she doesn't actually feel stronger, and she mostly looks the same.

"Maybe we can try later if using a PreCard means you stop recognising me. I have quite a few of them by now. There is an idol PreCard too. I sing so much better with it." Day and night really, at least if you ask her.

"I haven't actually tried being a mermaid in the sea. Perhaps I should", Sayaka muses, keeping the ball in play. "I have only done it once, and that was in Hinoiri's lab, because she wanted to run some tests. There wasn't much a shift in energy, but knowing that was probably important."

"We are even now", Sayaka smirks as the score card now shows 1-1. "Just what we need to add tension to our little game", she says, immediately contradicting her words with a relaxed shoot into Madoka's side.

What other motive could he have then, if asking isn't enough? "Maybe he doesn't think trusting him would be that easy." She furrows her brow, thinking of anyone that would fit that, but nobody comes to mind. She isn't sure if there even is anybody that likes classical music there.

"I guess it may be only a matter of time until he finds something that actually works for him like Hinoiri did. "About that", she regards Homura with twinkling eyes. "It's part of my callout now, when I do my finisher. I am all 'Symphony of Justice, turn into sacred power. Pretty Cure Rondo con Toccata! Justice, return to the Heavens!' And then the youma calls it relaxing." She wants to get along with Madoka's significant other, so involving her in jokes not addressed to her should be a good start.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka wouldn't know if she should be surprised or not that a similar name might actually not be enough to break the Veil. Then she thinks out loud, "Huh, actually, even before she took the name Love Lily, Homura in henshin seemed like a different person to me than Homura out of henshin. So you're probably right."

Homura, with her arms crossed, comments, "I think I could help with that, since I'm sure I haven't seen it yet."

Madoka gives Sayaka a sort of '... really?' look when she hears she can do the mermaid thing, too. Then the ball almost slips past her, leading to a surprised Madoka moving in a short panic to just barely hit the ball in time to keep it in play. "I mean, I've had a friend use magic on me to let me swim, but I haven't been a full blown mermaid before. The closest I ever got was using Kamiko's Familiars as dive scooters, and those pull you instead of push you so it's a bit different."

Madoka then giggles because this isn't exactly a tense game as is, but there's fun in just hitting the ball back and forth too.

Homura frowns on the subject of Hiddenite, then shrugs. "Who knows? Maybe he's just awkward. I think the only thing we know for sure is that he's clearly lying and yet very much not an enemy."

Then as the raven haired Puella hears Sayaka's callout, her lip curls upwards into the smallest, slightest smirk. "That's very you. I like it. I don't usually bother with callouts, though I'm sure my mentor would object."

Brai then tugs on Homura's blouse. "Oh! Did you tell her about the mofin picture?" The way the Chara says it, it's very clearly an intentional cutesy mispronunciation of the word 'muffin'.

Homura looks at her phone again, and says, "Oh, right. It should be here somewhere." After finding the right picture, she turns it so that Sayaka can see. It's a silly image of Kamiko eating a muffin, with her cheeks stuffed like a chipmunks and crumbs on her lips. The word 'MOFIN' has been typed in at the bottom.

Madoka doesn't look, but she knows which one it is already. It's one of the couple's in jokes, but Sayaka is important enough to be included in on it too.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Guess there is nothing left but to test it", Sayaka decides, catching the ball in her hand, and placing it and paddle on the table. Can this game get any more relaxed? She runs out of the room, and uses the Pretty Change Mirror out of it, coming back in the 'Idol' getup. She says nothing, waiting to see if she is recognised first.

Once that little test is done, the bluenette smirks at Madoka's incredulity. "What you thought I wasn't serious? I offered it for real when we were talking about finding Gaito's palace." A beat. "But having that as my first mermaid outing would have been reckless." She hadn't thought about it too much at first.

"I am serious though, let me show you", she takes out the mermaid PreCards, and places it inside the mirror. Once activated, the magical object stutters "M-m-mermaid. Time to change!" Her legs shift for the second time to a blue tail, scales, fins and all, getting the appropriate wear.

"Well, that's about it", Sayaka exclaims, resting calmly. "I match Ula now", she grins with a note of embarassment. Once that demonstration is dealt with, she lets go of the magic and walks close to the table, serving the ball once more.

She stops briefly to giggle at the picture first, though, peering with a smile at Homura's phone. "Awww, you are such a cute mofin, Kamiko."

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Seeing that the game is basically being put on hold, Madoka places the paddle down and waits for Sayaka to come back. Homura also puts the phone away, and glances towards Madoka. Madoka looks back at her. The two glance around the room to see if they're being watched, before edging closer...

By the time Sayaka comes back, the Madohomu couple is in each other's arms, cheek to cheek, twisting back and forth. When Homura sees Sharpsong approach, she says, "Hm. Nope, still recognize you."

Madoka then pulls away from Homura and says, "O-oh! Eheh... Hi, Sharpsong-chan!"

Homura tilts her head. "Though I wonder... In another timeline, if you became a different kind of PreCure instead, would I be unable to tell?"

Kamiko floats next to Homura and says, "Well I for one hope you don't get a chance to find out, but... you never know! She could have been a different kind of PreCure in another timeline and you never noticed."

Madoka, in regards to the mermaid form, gives Sayaka a sheepish grin. "I mean, it's not that I didn't believe you. I just didn't register it. I guess it's silly for me to be envious of being a mermaid, but... it is what it is I guess." The pinkette gets a bit closer to her mermaid-formed friend and comments, "Your tail looks really pretty, Sharpsong-chan! But of course blue would be your color."

Once the game is back on, Madoka happily bounces the ball back and forth with Sayaka. She giggles at her reaction to the phone image, and Kamiko beams proudly at the bluenette. "Eeee, thank you~!"

Sayaka Miki has posed:
It was just what she expected. These forms get layered on top of whatever state she is in currently. So if she wants to trigger the Veil, she should change to a Pretty Cure first. It's pretty useful if she doesn't want to, though.

Sayaka scoffs amused when she goes back into the room and see the two of them into each other arms. "I leave you alone for three seconds..." she remarks with a smirk. She is surprised they tried that at all, considering they knew she was going to come back in a second. Unless they wanted her to see? She gets the picture very much, they both love each other so much.

"I see how it is, your love burns so ardently, any second not spent in each other's arms is like torture", Sayaka speaks in a decidedly exaggerated tone. "I will leave you two lovebirds to it", she turns around the other way. "I can tell you all about Cure Euterpe some other time, or Madoka can."

"I have said everything you really needed to know, and we can hang out together another time", she winks to the two of them, waiting for Ula to join her again and say her bye to the group. "Bye Madoka, Homura, try not to have too much fun."

Madoka Kaname has posed:
Homura gets a little defensive. "I mean... we were just hugging for like a second?"

Madoka giggles, "I think we forgot just how fast a henshin is! We thought you were actually getting changed for some reason."

Kamiko just shrugs and shakes her head. "Believe me, they are always like this."

Notably, absolutely no one is denying how much they enjoy being held by each other. It's probably a matter of public record at this point.

Madoka giggles and says, "Well, I guess our game ends in a tie! Until we meet again, Sharpsong-chan~!"

Homura, slightly bashful but trying to play cool, says, "R-right. Later. Thanks for telling us."

The two of them watch Sayaka leave, and then not even a second after...

Brai and Kamiko just look at the two of them, then at each other. Brai shrugs and says, "We should've known they'd start cuddling."
