| Synopsis: | Molly's soul is in the Dreamscape, and while Emi's willingness to ferry others can make sure she's not alone, it's friendship that makes sure she can still feel close to people. |
| Cast of Characters: | Molly Skyline, Usagi Tsukino, Setsuna Meiou, Rashmi Terios, Amanda Faust |
- Molly Skyline has posed:
It's late afternoon in Tokyo, when most people are awake. Molly, however, is... Well she's awake, technically, but she's dreaming. Sort of. It's strange, being semi-permanently housed in the Dreamscape, while your body is elsewhere. Being, y'know, inhabited by someone else. (A someone else who is not nice, at that.)
Molly is presently not thinking about any of that. Upuntil recently, distraction have been exceedingly hard to come by, but here, that isn't a problem in the slightest.
Currently dressed like she's trying to be some kind of Victorian era sorceress, in a black dress with gold buttons and bright blue petticoats, the purplenette is running about joyfully with a big net for catching bugs -- except instead of bugs, she's chasing after brightly colored, glowing, winged frogs. She's got a number of them already, all contained in little jars that clink against each other in a carrying bag, slung over one shoulder. She's got blue ones, red ones, yellow ones, green ones, all of them ribbiting and croaking at each other, whlie the brilliant purple one she's after is managing to remain just... just out of reach.
All of this is happening in the main courtyard of Radiant Heart's dreamscape. Looks like someone fell asleep in class and their dream made it here for Molly to interact with. Or, something.
Molly isn't too clear on the details but clearly isn't all that worried right now.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi Tsukino does not have to be given an excuse to take a nap in the middle of the afternoon - but when provided one, and especially in a way where she can make it altruistic, by both visiting a friend and helping her get medical care, too.
Mostly the way she's helping with that last part is by inviting Setsuna to come and nap with her and Rashmi and Emi, so they can get to the school's dreamscape, but it's still helping!
And when she wakes up in the dream, she's not wearing her usual clothes, but a beautiful pink kimono with pale flowers nad pink leaves, her hair pinned in looping buns with red and white flowers, a pale shawl draped over her shoulders and geta on her feet - yes, she's fitting the image of the female lead for My Fortunate Engagement, and no she will not be embarrassed by this fact once she realizes it.
For the moment, she's too busy taking in what Molly is doing and wearing: "Molly-chan, what did those frogs ever do to you?"
But her voice is cheerful rather than scolding, and she hurries over with an ease she probably couldn't manage in that kimono if this weren't a dream.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Never let it be said that Nurse Meiou doesn't take her job of overseeing the general health of those in her charge seriously.
Even when those in her charge aren't currently possessed of a physical body and exist currently only in The Dreaming that's generally only easily accessible by the local Oneric Guardian.
Thus it is that, having been informed that Molly has been found and rescued (well the important part of her, at least), she is making a point to go check on the young woman.
Having arranged a pickup from Emi, Nurse Meiou steps out of the infirmary...and she herself is garbed a bit...differently than normal as well.
For some, it's just a jumpsuit with black shoulders, a thin white line, then a large blue segment that covers the rest of the arms and torso before blending into black pants and white boots with a labcoat over them.
Those a bit more in the know will recognize it as a 2380's era Starfleet CMO uniform with optional labcoat.
As she steps into the hallway, a glance out the window shows her that Molly is at least doing okay on the surface level.
After pausing to blink at the scene in the courtyard just ahead, the nurse absently comments, "...you know, I try as hard as I can to expect anything when I enter the Dreaming like this...but somehow, I always end up at least a little surprised."
After a moment of reaching up to tap her chin she tilts her head a little and opines, "...I'm not sure if that's a cause for relief or for concern."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Invite Rashmi to *spend time* with the friend who has been either presumed dead or a prisoner for *the entire year so far* in the company of others?
Twist her arm, why don't you.
And as she touches down on the field, the redhead brushes at the billowing white skirts accompanying her costume -- something vaguely Elvish in style, with belled sleeves and shimmering fabrics and all -- and cannot help but check her shoulder. Yup, there's the baby silver wingy lizardy thing, just like she'd hoped!
With everything where it should be, she bops across the fantastical grounds, laughing in wonder as Molly chases down a flying purple frog with an insect net.
"Careful when you let them go, Molly-chan!" she calls out merrily, and the possibly-a-dragon looses a loud SKREE~! in agreement.
"Frankly Setsuchan," Rashmi remarks as she approaches the Senshi, "The Dreamworld is probably the best possible proof of how amazing magic in general just, like... *is.*"
- Molly Skyline has posed:
Just as everyhone is greeting her, Molly takes a flying leap, launching herself as upwards as she can manage, and at last; she catches the frog.
"Gotcha!" she declares triumphantly, pinching the net shut around the winged amphibian, that 'ribbits' back at her. What does that even mean? Oh well who knows, it's not like Molly speaks Froggish.
"Oh hi!!" she replies, and breaks into a big grin upon finding that three of her friends have come to visit her. She transfers her captive frog from net to jar -- with a practiced hand no less -- and holds the little critter up to look at him before tucking him into the bag with the others.
"The froggies did nothing, they're just... Okay come on they're cute," she declares. "And I wish I could have a glowing flying frog in real life but that's not going to -- probably not going to happen. Also, Rashmi-Chan, the silver dragon is extremely cool and I have no idea how you managed that, but good on you."
The purplenette plops down on a bench, that is exactly where there is one in real life except the one here looks like it's the kind of bench a druid would approve of. "I'm gonna go with relief, Setsu-Chan," she decies. "Positivity is extremely important to me right now, I've decided. So..." she gestures broadly towards the Dreamscape, "Positive. Good. All that you see is good. And as soon as I work out how to dream myself up a car I'm going to drift this entire place."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Positive is a good sign," Usagi declares, and plops down on a bench near Molly, leaving the space closest to her as Rashmi's place of honor. "You've had way too much negativity!"
She's peeking at the glowing winged frog, and can't deny that chasing after one does sound fun, but even in a dream she wants to rest up some more.
"How are you feeling? I mean! You must be feeling pretty good to be chasing frogs and ready to drive!" Which is great, especially after what a nightmare her dreams had been before, trapped with Seriss Nyx and being tormented in varying ways.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Since Usagi and Rashmi have taken the spots to either side of Molly, Nurse Meiou walks up behind her and absently flips open a tricorder which makes its distinctive little sound as she scans the local frogcatcher, "When you've seen as much as I have, there's always the worry that you'll eventually lose your sense of wonder...which, as Rashmi noted, is half the thing that makes magic, magic."
She then smiles and looks past her medical instrument, "...that being said, I'm also glad to see you're doing well enough to be able to indulge yourself a little like this. It speaks well for how you're doing overall."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"Oh?" Rashmi glances at the dragon, and can't help but chuckle as she takes the spot marked out by Usagi. "Oh, heh... Yeah I've been spending a good chunk of my off-time with my tamagotchi to unwind, and well... This is what Anaxylotyh of the Silver Flame looked like when she was still a baby. Dreams, right?"
She fondly knuckles the lizard's head, to be answered with another bright SKREE, after which the ponderously named creature takes wing, joining the shoals of homework-fish spiraling lazily over the courtyard, then disappearing the moment Rashmi takes attention off it.
"I think that's a *really, really* good idea, Molly-chan... Finding ways to keep joy in your heart's been the hardest part of this whole thing, sometimes... but also probably the most important."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Laying down for an afternoon nap, Amy remembers to text Emi that she might be asleep soon, and...
She's grown up, dressed in a weird outfit, and at a... church? Helping to stop an AI-led cult, but the people she's helping are being manipulated by another AI and then the plot is interrupted by Emi pulling her to the school's dreamscape and pointing her down the hall to the door to where Molly is and...
As Amy steps out into the courtyard, nope, it's gone, she cannot remember the rest of the dream. Was there even a rest of the dream to begin with, or was it all in medias res anyway? And then she sees Molly and doesn't care about the dream anymore and smiles, "Molly!"
At... the moment? She's grown up and filled out, and in some kind of stage performer get-up consisting mainly of an ornate black dress with white fuzzy trim and accents, and she lifts the skirt and runs over, "Molly, and everyone! Oh this is so cool! Is that a dragon? Are you collecting frogs? Do the dream frogs do something?"
She looks a bit concerned. "...It's not a job, is it? Did some dream creature offer you a job in the dreamscape? ...Is that a thing that really happens? Have to check with Emi later..."
- Molly Skyline has posed:
Molly's smile falters, if just for a moment, once people are sitting on either side of her and someone is literally scanning her with a tricorder. She looks down at her knees, and clasps her hands together.
"I'm trying," she replies. "it's hard. Sometimes. I have... ups and downs. Right now is up." She sits up straighter, and restores her smile. "I... can't promise that the next time you come I won't be huddled in a corner bawling my eyes out. Running around chasing winged frogs and thinking about stuff like cars and restarting my RIFTS campaign and all that stuff is lots of fun, and it is, but being here with all that time to think is... kind of a constant reminder that... She still has my body and is still using it to hurt people. And there's still no guarantee I'm gonna get it back."
Molly fidgets with her thumbs, and then offers the insect net to Usagi. "You should give it a shot," she offers. "When you next feel like standing up. You can just like... materialize a jar if you think about it."
And then, the penny drops, and Molly's head whips around, "Wait hold up Tricorder and Next Generation Doctor's uniform with labcoat that's AWESOME."
The purplenette ohs! "Hey Amy, and I have no idea what the frogs do except glow and ribbit at everything. Here, you can have one." She holds out the bag, held open, towards Amy. "I mean, heck, you can all have a froggy if you want, they're dream frogs, do whatever you want with them."
Molly pauses, and tilts her head to look back over her shoulder. "Hey, Setsu-Chan," she asks, voice having gone quiet. "Did... anyone tell you what Obsidian... did to me?"
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi's plop down onto a bench hadn't been meant to make Molly feel checked in on, concerned about - it's just that she sat down, right before Rashmi did, and right before Setsuna tarted her work, though she can see the effect it's having. That's probably why she accepts the bug net, twirling it in her hand, and then casually plops the net over Molly's head, 'capturing' her.
"Got you," she says cheerfully, "That's better than a Dream Frog!"
She's got a talking cat, and Luna is of course more a friend than a pet and as much an advisor as a friend; much better o cheer up a friend -
Though, that silliness may be a bit unwelcome when Molly brings up the very serious topic of what's happening out there, and if she'll get her body back, and what Obsidian did to her.
The next is quickly pulled up and off.
"Molly-chan, you're getting your body back," Usagi says sincerely. "Seriss Nyx might have had it for way longer than anyone thinks is acceptable, but it's yours, and we're giving it back to you. One of her stupid monsters went down, and the rest will too, and then we'll kick her out of your body and plop you back in. You'll be back in school before you know it!"
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Nurse Meiou snorts a little when Molly finally realizes that she's dressed in Starfleet togs...and her grin gets a little wider.
Because the only CMO that's been shown on screen so far in THIS particular variant of the starfleet uniform is a Catian.
So once Molly's looking at her, two feline ears pop up from her hairdo and she winks, "...you can refer to me as Doctor Me-ou."
She gives a few moments for that to sink in, then she absently folds her tricorder and plops it in a pocket.
And then as the mood turns a little, the greenhaired woman lets out a little sigh and shakes her head, "...I was given a general overview a bit ago...but generally speaking, talking about these kinds of things tends to help in the long run far more than they hurt in the short run...so lay it on me."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"The dragon's mine, Amy-chan," Rashmi calls from the bench. "I've been spending so much time with my tamagotchi I guess I *dream* about being a dragon-rider or something now."
Usagi turning the frog-catcher onto Molly earns a riotous giggle from Rashmi, followed by a hug 'round the purplenette's shoulders. When Molly starts asking Setsuna about what was done, and the net is hurriedly snatched off, the hug becomes a supportive squeeze. "Usagi-chan's right," she says quietly. "You're *gonna* get everything back, because you never asked for any of this and we're all gonna fight so hard the world won't have a *choice.*"
And while Setsuna's cat-ears and terrible pun cannot help but bring a smile to Rashmi's face, it can't really last in the vicinity of the current mood. She doesn't tell Molly *not* to talk about it, or the reverse, simply pats her friend's shoulders, and lets her make the call herself.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy's mouth is agape in excitement at Rashmi getting a dream-dragon. "That's cool!"
The mention that Molly might be crying in a corner next time, and the thought of what it must be like, to be stuck in a dreaming state 24/7, does make a flicker of concern cross Amy's face, but she's not going to bring the mood down! Usagi lightens it with her use of the net, and Amy smiles and giggles a little. "That's right!"
She stares at Setsuna's cat ears for a long moment, and smiles at the visual of Setsuna-chan with cat ears, and the pun.
Amy was offered a frog. Naturally, it follows that frog x1 is added to her inventory:
+===========================================================================+
| Key Item · Found in the Radiant Heart Academy Dreamscape |
| Frog with wings. No idea what it does. Do whatever you want with it. |
+==============================<* Key Items *>==============================+
|[Dream Frog x1] Rope x1 |
| Bestiary x1 Empty Bottle x1 |
| Copper Lantern x1 Feather Fan x1 |
| Jar (just materialized) x1 |
+===========================================================================+
Hey wait, there's other stuff in there, "Huh, can I--" Amy sort of starts to reach for the items, somehow-- But the moment Amy focuses on it, the three elemental treasures morph into unreadable dream nonsense and the vision -- which they could kind of sense/see and know that that she was seeing, somehow -- fades.
Amy blinks. "Aww."
She refocuses on Molly and hugs her from the other side as Rashmi does, "They're right! We'll kick her out of your body, you've got a plan and we'll come up with backup plans!"
Still, a bit of the concern about what being stuck bodiless for so long is doing to Molly is starting to show through her certain confidence.
She lets go and steps back to let Molly explain to Setsuna first, and pulls out the bestiary to flip through it.
Salaryman, Bliss-chan, the horror movie slasher from the training exercise, she can imagine images of what she's fought in the dreamscape, but the RPG-style stats and descriptions are all unreadable, shifting dream-text that gets increasingly frustrating the longer you look at it.
- Molly Skyline has posed:
"Okay but--"
Molly starts and stops just as abruptly, as she's netted, hugged, un-netted, and hugged. And really, who can remain stoic though all that, so she smiles, and reaches out to hug people to either side of her.
"Okay but, thing is, my plan might not work like I thought," she cautions, "See I was thinking if we overload Seriss with mana she'll have to pop out of me to keep it all, and I'm confident on that, might the part where I use all that mana to blow her up thanks to Chrono's back door, that... might not be enough. I'm pretty sure I can at least weaken her but you all might have to finish her off."
The Purplenette fidgets from side to side a little, "Also, if my plan doesn't work, please remember to save the world first, and me second, okay? And if you can't... manage both... then do what you have to do and I promise I'll understand and I'll love you for it."
With that said, Molly doesn't wait, as she looks up over her shoulder at Setsuna, and chooses that moment, "Oh, right! Original animated, and I never saw that series, so not Next Gen. ...Anyway." Molly enjoys the moment of enthusiasm, just for a moment, before she opens her mouth, closes it again, and dips her eyes.
"They put... all kinds of... things in me," she explains. "Stuff to fix all the damage I suffered in the Dusk Zone. Which was, y'know... fatal. So I couldn't heal, they had to use all kinds of dark energy stuff, and when I'm not here I can feel it, all the time. They put a second linker core in me too, which is just weird and I dunno where they got it but Seriss uses it to overload her spells when she wants shock and awe." She pauses, biting her bottom lip. "And there were these... rods. That came from the witches, I think, I know at least one of them was Beryl's but Seriss could hold two of them without getting instantly incinerated, and apparently that was some great feat. Mistress 9 said she had the potential to be a Magus, whateer that means, and like... they implanted two of them... in her. Me. Somehow. And I don't know what that means."
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
As Setsuna listens to Molly recanting all the things that have been done to her body, her frown gradually deepens until she's outright scowling.
After a few more moments, she reaches up with both hands to rub her face and let out a deep sigh, "...none of this is your fault, Molly-chan, but at this point, I'm really wondering if there's something we can do between Emi-chan and all the rest of us to temporarily overlay a bit of the dream world with reality so that I can use an honest to heavens Starfleet sickbay on you."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks more and more alarmed as she learns just how much was done to Molly's body.
It sounds, to her, like Molly's body might not be able to live without dark energy inm this state, or be so poisoned she can't survive in it, and she's not sure how to broach the subject.
So she latches onto Setsuna's suggestion about somehow making dreams real. "D'you think that could be possible?!"
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"It'll be enough, Molly-chan," Rashmi says quietly, closing her eyes against the litany of procedures done to Molly, in the service of helping a monster. "I don't have an *answer* yet, but I know how I can *find* what was... installed. And I know that there's very little that can survive the kind of purification we can bring, and not a lot that can't be mended by the kind of *healing* we can bring."
All of this, said with a grim, sad -_- face on the bespectacled Devicer, because this is not the kind of conversation that allows for many other expressions.
"Let us worry about that; you take yourself as far as you can, and believe with *all your heart* that the rest of us can carry you the rest of the way. Because that's how we're gonna win."
With that, she takes in a long, deep breath, opens her eyes, and puts on a bright smile. "And yeah, let's *definitely* see if there's a way to do that, or even something close to it. Not that catching rainbow frogs under a jellyfish aurora isn't the most incredibly nuts thing I've seen so far..."
- Molly Skyline has posed:
"I can live with..." Molly trails off, and sighs heavily. "I think I can live with most of it. And if my being alive depends on the stuff they put in me then I guess that's how it has to be, but... but just... not the rods, okay?" Molly turns her head to give Setsuna a look with her brow deeply knitted. "Not the rods. I have to get rid of those, I just... I can feel them all the time and they're burning me, it's like they're just... opposite to everything I am. Those have absolutely got to go. Somehow. I... don't know how any of this works.
The purplenette clasps her hands between her knees, and stares at them for a moment. "But also, I want to be clear on something. When I took up Starcrash and started doing all this, and I didn't think I was any good at it, and when we were fithting on the beach and we had t ogo into the Dusk Zone to get everyone out... even if I'd known at any point where it was going to lead, I'd still have done it. All of it. Because it was worth it. And I do... believe that all of you are going to save me." She looks up again, and manages a smile. "I just have to keep myself together a little longer, right?"
Molly looks up at the dreamy sky, and smiles at it for a moment, until her expression returns to something more neutral.
"But... when I said, before, that I wanted to be there for the nxt big fight? I meant it, but like... I wanted to be there. I didn't want to be the next big fight."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks up at the jellyfish and aurora when Rashmi mentions them, but when Molly says she hurts all the time, Amy runs over to hug her. (And in this grown dream-body, she's almost Molly's height.)
She nods at the declaration that Molly stands by her decisions.
And hughs tighter at not wanting to be the next big fight.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Setsuna shakes her head and leans against a convenient post, "No patch on our cadre of healers and purifiers...I just feel that, if we discover that it's possible to at least temporarily blend the Dreaming and Waking worlds...that using the collective unconscious of all Humanity to do some of the heavy lifting for healing our people would be a GOOD thing."
After a few minutes, she then sighs, "...and on a happier note, Molly-chan...when you're back to normal, remind me to have you over one night and we'll binge Lower Decks AND Strange New Worlds. You'll like it. They even have a whole episode that's a full-on musical."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"Molly-chan," Rashmi says, voice quiet and gently unyielding. "You *saved lives* doing what you did. Not just your friends' lives, but people who could *never* have fought back. The only difference between February and now is, you're gonna *live* to be a hero, because all you need to do is hold out until we can do for you what you did for us; save lives through frankly ridiculous firepower. And after that, you're gonna get as much of a break as you need, because *guaranteed* you'll be there for the next big fight."
Closing her eyes for a moment, she opens them again, and does her very best to capture Molly's gaze. "No more doubts, Molly-chan. You've always been the only one who ever believed you weren't enough. Okay?"
Holding that stare for a moment, she looks away and to Setsuna, chuckling. "Believe it, Molly-chan," she says. "She'll probably find a way to make you a Star Warfleet uniform of your own to wear when you're binging it."
Rashmi has always, always professed that science fiction was never really her thing; so *is* she messing with every right and true nerd, right now? Or that ignorant of Star Names?
And *which is worse?*
- Molly Skyline has posed:
"That's why I'd do it again," Molly murmurs, after eventually meeting Rashmi's gaze. "It was worth it." She holds Rashmi's gaze for a moment, before dipping her eyes back down to the other girl's shoulder. "Maybe next time, just... I'd rather not have to die doing it. Once was enough. Once is kinda the maximum for most people too, so I'd sorta rather not push my luck any further."
Wrapping an arm around Amy as she's being hugged, the purplenette pffts loudly, "Just for that I'm dressing up as Hera Syndulla for the next Halloween and I insist you come as Ahsoka Tano, and now you're gonna have to go look up what that means. And they're both from Star Wars, and were part of the Rebel Alliance. They were not in Starfleet."
Molly leans back to look at Setsuna over the top of Rashmi's head, and lifts one hand to gesticulate at her, "Amy-chan, Setuna-chan, I'm going to need both of you to make sure that Rashmi-chan watches the relevant shows. ...There's like... a dozen episodes of each..." She trails off. "Oh plus Rebels, that's five seasons."
Molly's tone suggests that she is joking. Well.
Mostly joking.
"Actually when I get back the first thing I'm gonna need to do is get as much help from everyone who wants to help on studying my brains out 'cause I don't wanna get held back a year and... and yeah, my summer is going to suck." She shrugs, "But I'm still gonna find time to watch Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds, 'cause that's an offer I can't pass up. Especially if there's a musical episode."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
It's heartening to se Molly speaking of future things, but also "THERE'S A MUSICAL STAR TREK EPISODE?!"
Amy then relaxes, and lets go of Molly, smiling. "I actually never saw the Star Wars shows either, save a bit of that new Mandalorian one. I heard Clone Wars was good? So we can see whichever it is for the first time together."
She looks away a moment. "...We'll get you out of here before next summer. We have to. And... look, it... Usagi and I had summer school this year, it wasn't... the worst..."
She tries to think of something to lighten the mood. "So, um... have any neat adventures besides dream frogs, so far?"
She mutters, 'I am seeing these new Star Trek shows... I wonder if there's a way to watch them in here with you...'
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
As Rashmi possibly purposely mangles the two major outer space sci fi franchises, Setsuna's expression turns a bit more towards a scowl, and she narrows her eyes at the bespectacled redhead as if perhaps sizing her up.
Because she's getting dangerously close to fitan' wards.
However, when Molly comments about not wanting to get held back a year, the nurse sighs and looks over at her, "Let me get a schedule setup with Emi-chan, Molly-chan, and I can help you with at least some of your subjects."
She absently waves towards the building, "...after all, they make me keep up my teaching accredation even as a Nurse, I might as well get some use out of it."
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
The scowl is met with a blithe, cheerful smile, because Rashmi has *no idea* what is making Setsuna quite so cross. None whatsoever. But the threat of multiple dozens of hours being taken up watching TV is... actually kind of concerning? Three hours of sitting still -- relatively -- she can manage. Ten *days* worth of cumulative sitting and doing nothing else?
Horrors.
"...Actually I... think there might be a way, Amy-chan," Rashmi can't help but say. "I know I can *henshin* in here, but I don't know if that means Nicomachea's programming *also* carries over. ...But I will do *anything I can* if it means bringing Movie Night to Dreamworld."
- Molly Skyline has posed:
"Please, please bring Movie Night and Study Night to Dreamworld," Molly declares with big eyes. "Can we start with a viewing of 'Willow'? Rashmi-chan, Amy-chan, if you've never seen it you have to see it." She looks up again, "Setsuna-chan, if they haven't seen 'Willow', please vouch for me for how good it is, yeah?"
The purplenette purses her lips and gets a bit of a look over her face, and sighs, "Yeah, getting out from most of a year of being Seriss'... whatever you call this, to go straight into summer school, and then go straight back to a regular school year, sucks pretty hard to think about, but y'know what'd suck even worse than summer school? Getting held back a year and eventually you all going off to university or whatever without me so I'll do basically whatever it takes to make sure it doesn't happen."
Molly pauses. "Well, except stuff like selling my soul, I'm not doing that, obviously. I'm still using it."
"Rashmi-chan, they're good shows, I promise. But I won't actually make you watch anything. But like... Hera Syndulla is one of my favorite characters, so just... even if you don't watch it all, check out an episode or two of Rebels, they're like twenty minutes each."
Molly can't help it; she miles at Amy's question. "People dream all kinds of stuff. Yesterday I was flying in a hot air balloon, except instead of the balloon part, it was like... a giant bubble, like you'd blow out of soapy water, and it was pretty beautiful. Someone here is really into horse racing too. And I had a tea party with a talking carrot, cucumber, and this... cob of corn that kept losing bits."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy nods at the suggestion to bring study and movie night here. "I wonder if Taro could come to some movie nights here... but how can we study when we can't read?"
She gives the others a helpless look at the mention of Willow. "Uh... that one's a Buffy spinoff, right? I never did see it... but I'd be happy to watch anything with you guys!"
Molly worries over missing a year, and Amy hugs her again.
And then listens with wide-eyed attention to the description of adventures. "Coooooollll. That sounds neat!"
Amy smiles. "You know, there's one I remember 'cuz Emi pulled me out of it..."
"So like... I somehow got made younger again, and then I thought I woke up and started the day, and Usagi and Mamoru said if I was going to class with Chibi-usa anyway I should try to find Masquerade Lapine's civilian identity so we could let her in on stuff..."
Amy grins as she retells, hoping the story helps keep the mood lighter, "Anyway, I thought class was gonna suck but it was some kind of activity day where we built carboard tanks and rammed them into eachother and then Emi pulled me out to talk to Setsuna and I was still little and neither of them said anything almost the whole time." She looks a bit pouty at that.
"A-anyway, after I woke up I was this close to hitting 'send' on a text message to Usagi-chan and Mamoru to let them know I failed to fine Lapine before I was like... 'wait...'" She chuckles.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"...Wait you *don't know Willow,*" Rashmi says, eyes wide in disbelief. But Amy's four times the nerd Rashmi is! And the movie was American! Okay so it probably came out before her original time but *when good fantasy is involved this is no excuse.* "Oh no no no we are fixing that. Swords, sorcery, a good dad taking care of a foundling baby... ...This is also when I note that I am not above doing a little crime myself, because Nicomachea *has* the miniseries they made a few years ago and dumped. So we will start with the classic then the sequel which is pretty much *just as good.*"
Shaking off the reflex of But Thou Must, Rashmi grins at Molly. "And it sounds like you're *definitely* keeping busy, and now that you've told me I'm gonna hold onto that just in case you wanna write or something as a side hobby. And ugh, Amy-chan, that almost sounds like a *nightmare* but it also sounds a little more like a lot of fun, and I *hate* when I wake up but I'm still thinking dream thoughts, it's so disorienting!"
- Molly Skyline has posed:
Molly hrumphs, "priating TV shows isn't crime, especially since the major networks have all revealed that they are more than willing to steal the efforts of artists. You wouldn't still a car or a handbag or a television, but they'd still your whole imagination apparently."
The purplenette looks around, "But I'd love to see them try to get in here. Pretty sure Emi would give them nightmwares for life and they'd deserve it too."
"And... yes, Amy-chan. Dreams are often beyond frustrating, especially when you haven't got any control over them." She pauses, and shrugs her shoulders lightly. "I've... got experience with that too actually. But I'm here now, and my friends are here, so this is literally the first breath of fresh air I've... no actually it's the second, the first was when Seriss gave me an hour in return for the password to Starcrash's secure storage and Rashmi-chan took me out for lunch. But that was an hour and this is much longer."
Molly flashes a grin, "And I can't wait to see your reaction to 'Willow'. Blew my mind first time I saw it. Just like Star Wars."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"I've... heard the title?" Amy does look embarassed. "I dunno, somehow I missed it." She laughs at the talk of a little crime, and they're in a dream where no school authority can possibly hear, "Do you know how much shit I've pirated? It's fine."
She grins and nods to Rashmi, "Y-yeah! I was like, so worried that I was gonna be going to class with kindergarteners but then it was a fun activity instead... and then Emi took me out to talk, yeah."
"With how hard it is to read in dreams... coulda been a nightmare easily. Haha, yeah, how embarassing to not be able to do a pre-first-grade math problem on the board, but like, seriously scary if you suddenly can't read and don't know why..."
Still, her mood is high!
