Aloisia Harlaown's Sheet

Background

Aloisia Stauss was born the daughter of Otto Bismark von Karstein-Steiner and Catrina von Husen on the mining planet of Tungeturn, a part of a plan that had been years in the making, though a plan Aloisia was largely never made aware of. In fact, she never knew who her real father was, having instead been raised by a trusted soldier under Otto himself by the name of Balthasar Stauss. In spite of the fact that her parents marriage was one of political motivation, it was a surprisingly happy family, though one with firm and strict rules for Aloisia herself. The first being that from a young age she would learn to fight, and that she must never leave Tungeturn until told otherwise. Trained on how to be a lovely young woman while simultaneously working alongside miners even from a young age, Aloisia developed over the course of her youth into a strong fighter, being taught in traditional belkan styles along with general combat styles for combatting non-human opponents which are a different kind of unpredictable.

All the while she was being subtly poisoned against the Steiner family, on how they were weak. On how they were simply living on the backs of the hardworking folk. On how they were bowing to the TSAB rather than fighting them as they should have, giving away most of the metal and crystals that the people of HER WORLD mined to ship off to the TSAB for them to make weapons of war.

And when she wasn't being taught things like that, she was off training with her 'father'. Or, when she was old enough to fight, fighting alongside the Tungeturn Defense Force to repel hostile wildlife or pirates that had slipped through planetary defenses to try to steal from their outpost. It was a harsh life, but one that Aloisia did not quite realize she was in, as she was rained down with praise by the people she worked alongside for her competent combat skills and admirable personality. Their little 'guardian princess', they called her. A thing that would blow up her ego to some degree.

By her preteen years, she had already made a place for herself among the defense force as a fully trusted and relied upon member, even to the point where she was leading a small team of trainees (With an adult supervisor) regularly on excursions to cull the more dangerous wildlife on the dirtball of a planet they called home, for a mix of food and safety due to the fact that much of the wildlife amounted to things along the lines of 'Armored bear-lizards' and 'dire sabretooth tigers', which regularly would attack anyone casually wandering outside the outpost. Regardless of this fact, the outpost was a relatively thriving little mining operation due to the money that could be earned from the magically rich crystal deposits beneath the earth of Tungeturn.

It was also around this time that her father started to leave the planet more often. Both him and her mother growing more distant, more busy. Leaving Aloisia alone with the defense force more often, as trouble brewed off-planet with her family and Otto in preparations for the upcoming coup. It was relatively sudden that her mother returned, Aloisia could sense something was wrong, but no matter how much she asked, her mother wouldn't tell her anything, and forced her to stay home from her usual duties. During this time, Aloisia was gifted the twin shield to her own shield she had been using, two halves of a whole now made complete.

It wasn't long after this that the entire mining outpost was overtaken by a buzz. Accusations flung left and right. Yelling. Screaming. And then? A loud banging at her front door. The royal army had arrived. Her father had already been captured. And they were here for her and her mother. While the manor guards held off the royal guards, Aloisia and her mother both fled to a secret hangar underneath the compound, and Aloisia was taken inside. Her mother quickly programming the ship to take off and leave, and just before take off... she stepped off the ship, telling Aloisia that it was important that she survive. That she would have to break the cycle.

And then she was gone. Aloisia alone on the small ship, blasting off into space on a course to the remote galaxy where she would hopefully be hidden. Of course...

It was an older ship. A slower ship. And the first time she tried to make a stop to refuel or resupply, Aloisia found out that her family account had been frozen, leaving her with very little other choice than to do whatever she had to to survive. Which meant minor piracy.

A life she hated. Stealing from others. That was just as bad as the Steiner family did. A family that was the reason she now had no family of her own.

But she made sure it would be on her terms. Minimal damage. No Casualties. She was a defender of the people, not a destroyer of them. Only taking what she needed and nothing more. What felt like an eternity passed on that ship until she came near her destination, though she would never reach it as her ship went just slightly too close to the magical sinkhole that is earth. And then? Well. Then she was dragged into orbit, where she would crash land into the middle of a certain park in the middle of the juuban district.

Personality

Aloisia Stauss is someone who has lost everything, who has been forced to do the very thing that she considers the worst thing that she could have done, and yet still stands resolute in her values and who she is. Or at least, that's what she thinks. Time spent forced to do things completely opposite of her self image has twisted a lot of her personality. Where she once was proud of her strength, of her role as a protector, she's found herself having failed that role in the worst possible way, and it's taken a toll on her mental health.

Where once she was a jovial, friendly, cheerful person, what's left is more a mask of what she once was, with intense pain, self-loathing, and seething anger at the only targets she can think of as the reason for her suffering. The members of House Steiner. Knowing roughly the story of what happened, and who her father had supported, her hatred is currently somewhat focused towards House Steiner's princess herself, Hannah Steiner.

Aloisia herself believes that she's gone beyond the point of no return with having done even the 'minor' piracy that she did, and it's bred a deep level of self-loathing and hatred that denies her any true happiness. Sure, there might be moments of momentary joy, of satisfaction of a job well done, especially when it's a job she can believe in the leadership of.

One thing that keeps Aloisia from completely losing herself to darkness and going beyond the true point of no return is one simple fact, however: Aloisia is not a killer. She has spent her life in the service of defending others, and in spite of everything, all of the training, all of the time fighting animals and pirates, one thing has remained.

Aloisia does not have it in her to kill.

And that will be her redemption.

...Maybe.

Powers

Festungseid (Fortress Oath) - Formerly Doppelwand(Twin Wand), Festungseid is the combination of the twin Armed devices known as Vorhutschwester (Vanguard Sister) and Schutzschwester (Guardian Sister). Originally designed for two wielders, it has been altered to function in the hands of a single user, able to have both devices active, or only one at a time. With the twin devices comes faster processing powers, allowing for layering of multiple spells at once faster and slightly more efficiently than it would be for other Armed Devices. This allows the use of the double-layered defensive 'Wall' line of spells, combining the strength of both Barrier and Shield spells into single double-layered spells that can be imbued with various effects; the main affects being things like Repelling(Specifically physically knocking back PEOPLE, not spells), Bursting(Exploding if someone comes in contact with them), and Entrapping(Can be used to trap people in strong Walls, or as a reactive manner where striking it results in a Bind spell in counter.)

Guardian Mode - The default mode of the Festungseid Armed Device, the Guardian mode is a highly defensive mode with heavy armor and a focus on being a front line support in the form of mostly being in the way of enemies, along with occasionally using Boost spells on allies to share her energy and augment their strength. Guardian Mode has the Vanguard Sister in a shield form, and the Guardian Sister in the form of a lance.

Valkyrie Mode - A high-offense mode, a lot of the defensive strength of Guardian Mode is allowed to fall to the wayside as the shield and Lance of Guardian Mode are combined into a massive split lance with a crystal spike charged with plasma. Strikes with the lance in Valkyrie Mode unleash bursts of plasma and in general this form is highly focused on piercing defenses and making way for assaults on enemies. This mode has a slight variable shape to it as well, where parts of the guard can slide forward to the end of the lance, turning it into an axe form for when defenses no longer need to be broken.

Energy Conversion: Plasma - Aloisia is capable of converting her energy into plasma, electromagnetic energies that are usually used for further disruption of defenses. The energy cost of conversion is such that she mainly only uses this on her finisher attacks, such as 'Plasmabolzen' and 'Schlossknacker'.
