Mamoru Chiba's Character Sheet
Focus
A henshin item that lets him access the transformative powers of having a sailor crystal! Currently his pocketwatch.
Style
Either a white tie and tails ensemble and a mask and cape, or princely half-armor.
Powers
Non-Combat:
Healing
With a little effort and physical touch, Mamoru can quickly heal someone's (including his own) bruises and cuts and stop their bleeding. With more effort and time he can stop internal bleeding. With a lot more effort and time he can fix bigger wounds and internal injuries and broken bones and burns and can reattach limbs. With all his concentration and energy bent toward it, he can act as a life-support system for someone else. He can speed up (a bit) or ease someone's natural healing processes by lending them his energy. The bigger the problem the longer it will take him out of play/the longer and more sessions it will take to heal.
Psychometry
Can see images of emotionally-charged events that happened in the past of a person or an object by touch. This tends to flow both ways based on me flipping a coin, if it's touching a person and the other player's into the idea. If he has his psychic shield up, touching things with unexpected stories won't surprise him with psychometric visions. He likes gloves.
Empathy
Primarily touch-based, but with the option of picking up or being affected by the emotional 'flavor' of a crowd he's in. The touch-based kind means he can tell what someone is feeling or if they're lying. If he's not paying attention, this flows in both directions. This is something he can prevent if he has his psychic shield up.
Psychic Shield
Basically a wall he's practiced since childhood of 'nope stay out of my feels and I'll stay out of yours and everything will be fine'. If he's tired this doesn't work as well, and if he's under attack it doesn't hold for very long-- it's an active effort, like squinting in the sun.
Geomancy
Can be used to suss out the locations of specific people if he's either emotionally connected to them or holding the hand of someone who's emotionally connected to them (a la finding the Senshi with one hand on the ground while holding Usagi's hand at the end of the Dark Kingdom arc in the manga), otherwise good for checking on the status of his planet, checking for traps, sinkholes, et cetera. Also ties him closely with ley lines.
Medium
He can see and interact with ghosts and spirits.
Limited Telepathy
Basically just in emergencies, and only with Usagi or the Shitennou, and more or less a one-word or really specific emotion thing -- unless there's touch involved, and then he can get ideas across with a combination of words and images. He will have to practice a lot to get the touch-based version to be effective.
Teleport
Can get Mamoru across all of Tokyo to help Sailor Moon or his Shitennou in five seconds flat, but it takes too much time and concentration to use for combat. Can be used for evacuation if there's enough cover and a target destination. One person at a time, two if he really pushes and doesn't want to do much else for a while. Otherwise, group teleports are where it's at.
Dreams
Prophetic dreams as plot device (oh hey it's the Messiah of Silence! Oh hey it's the Princess!) and reason for joining scenes that isn't just coincidence. Lucid dreamer, holds sovereignty over Elysion's dreamscape, maintains persistent dream-memory spaces that can be accessed by other people via falling asleep with one of Mamoru's roses or being handed one in a dream. Elysion stuff is in job 847.
Ghost Projection
In times of great distress or when he's in King Endymion henshin or if he gets an Eternal one, based on his psychic abilities in anime and manga canon, Mamoru can astrally bilocate (Moonlight Knight, ghostly King Endy). He didn't used to remember doing it, but if he does it now, he's aware of what he's doing in both places, or is still aware in ghost form if unconscious physically. Future, post-Dream arc, job 853.
Combat:
Mahou Physicality
Harder better faster stronger. Also superjump.
Capetank
His cape is, after all, part of his armor. He's pretty good at using it as a shield if he can't dodge in time or if he's in front of someone or something he's trying to protect.
Twinkdodge
He can jump out of the way *really fast*.
Mean Empathy
Something he taught himself to do while full of wasp-buzzy dark energy: if someone grabs him he will absolutely yank off a glove and touch their skin and give them his feelings on the matter. As it were.
Rose Throw
They break concrete, chains, etc, and magic. Up to the GM or other player how much of an effect it has at that time. Detailed under 'Dream' subheading, also good for accessing Mamoru's persistent dream spaces.
Dumb Rose Tricks
Insert multiple gifs of Mamoru doing A Lot with the roses. Petals-first to bap someone with a kind of mid punch, explode in petals and glitter, and/or counter attacks; stem-first to pierce or break magic and interrupt; a flurry for making the battlefield come out smelling like, well, roses. He will sometimes call these attacks, especially if involved in combos. Previously in job 712.
Tuxedo la Smoking Bomber
By channeling his energy and strength and emotions into his hand and then yelling out his attack, he can do a pretty respectable kinetic energy blast.
Tuxedo la Smoking Crater
Ability based on the 'pray to the Earth' sequence in the Black Moon arc of the manga -- using his geomancy (touching the ground) to find the fracture/weak points in stone, or finding stone in the ground nearby, and making it explode.
Adherent Rose Eruption
Mamoru can make tangly rose-vine traps by throwing a charged rose and then pulling Earth's energy up through it to make it take root and turn into extremely swiftly growing climbing roses that will entangle and thorn-prick anyone it's aimed at. Future, dream Arc addition, previously in job 617.
Labyrinthine Overgrowth
A high-power or Prince Endymion henshin version of Adherent Rose Eruption means he can make a thrown rose turn into an actual thorny rose hedge to impede attacks and progress and channel crowds around. Like a shield, it takes a constant effort to maintain, and breaks into motes of light when Mamoru stops putting energy into it. Future, dream Arc addition, job 853.
Royal Earth Mantle
A big group buff for anyone standing on the ground that gives bonuses to accuracy, damage, and combat parkour for a round, the same buffs as rose honey candy gives but bigger and stronger. It's a logical conclusion to being able to find people through the ground, send energy through the ground, and buff people by touch. Future, dream Arc addition, job 853.
Prince Henshin
Prince Endymion is stronger and tankier and has more unrestricted access to his firepower, armor, a sword, and a worse reckless streak, but he doesn't dodge as fast because armor and a sword are heavy.
Group Powers
Sailor Planet Attack
When a group of five or more Senshi is together they can combine their power by holding hands in a circle and calling out the attack. It's a huge blast of raw magical power.
Sailor Teleport
When there is a group with at least three senshi in it, they can hold hands in a circle and teleport the group. The more senshi or teleport-capable people involved in the circle, the bigger the damage underneath them wherever they left from! Non-powered people can be teleported like this too.
Ancient Planetary Collision Golden Impact
When all five of the Shitennou and their Prince are together they can combine their power by gathering in a circle and focusing the power through their swords, and calling out the attack when they lift their swords. It's a huge blast of raw magical power.
Other Stuff
Mascot: Anko the Bakeneko
From Job 727:
- Can show up unexpectedly conveniently as long as there is somewhere she could reasonably have been hanging out watching, generally around Mamoru.
- Can get in to places a cat should not be able to get into, but once she gets in there, she's still a cat. If the job involves breaking in somewhere and knocking something off a table, she's the cat for the job.
- Can change size from smol catte to oversized Norwegian Forest Cat, and is exceptionally good at being pudding cat or long cat or cat in fishbowl sleeping or cat taking up the whole bed. Cat, but *more*.
- Can understand fairly complicated concepts and act correctly on them, but doesn't usually bother. Why should she when she can hold out for sashimi as payment for paying attention to boring things?
- Can jump or fall further considerably greater distances than a regular cat can, and is a lot tougher than a regular cat. Has regular antibiotics-required cat-bite power.
- Can talk! Can actually dance.
Rose Honey etc
Detailed on the Candy Buffs page, but edibles made with attar from Mamoru's roses give a one-round +dmg/acc/dex buff for more power, amazing trick shots, and spectacular battlefield parkour. Job 816.
Elysion & Dream Stuff
Mamoru has persistent dreamspaces (a temple, a villa, and parts of the Golden City centered on the walk from Endymion's townhouse to the docks) that are in the ragged border edge of Elysion's dreamscape, which he can get to, and because of the roses that come from Elysion and therefore want to go home, he can give them to people, who can take them from him in the waking world, and they can use them to get to his ragged-edges dreamscape with its snacks and hospitality.
Being the heir to Elysion and its ancient dreamscape, Mamoru has sovereignty over them and is able to control his own dreamstuff, and manipulate and/or read things with his extant powers more easily than he can on Earth, and some of that has bled out into his ability to interact with the dreamscape at large. This is always to be worked out with Emi, how things affect or are affected by him outside of Elysion and his own dreamscape.
Actual Elysion, once it has been emptied of (SPOILERS), is a sacred beautiful ruined land/dimension/secret place, where the remains of castles and temples and shrines and hamlets are overgrown, where there are edges that contain primal and ancient monsters and nightmares because the borderlands crossover into the ancient dreamscape.
On-game Elysion is specifically The Dreaming Heart of Earth's Magic, or whatever configuration of words is enough to define 'this is not the only place you can get magic from Earth but it is a way to get magic from Earth that Earth is built to give'. It is also not meant to be a hangout any more than the Moon Kingdom or KKF or Sarek, which is to say not at all. Plots and the occasional date only! It lives a dimension to the side from Earth, just like the Moon Kingdom. Job 847.
