For The Lady's Amusement
Date of Scene: 18 June 2025
Location: Dream Kingdom
Synopsis: Wickeds Lady and Mask decide to visit the Dream Kingdom amusement park! When Wicked Lady doesn't want to wait in line, she jumps the fence and starts creating trouble. Pulp Noir and the Princess of Sarek come to interfere, but Lady unleashes a roller coaster youma for them to fight! There's a lot of property damage but at least everyone had fun, right?
Cast of Characters: Chibiusa Tsukino, Hinote Kagari, Veronica Perenna, Mamoru Chiba

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Dream Kingdom isn't that unlike Crystal Tokyo's palace, being built on what used to be open water. Though, Wicked Lady's former home was a bit further out, since they had a thousand years to fill in more land.

Granted, that's not why the corrupted dark general is here. She's here because she wanted to visit an amusement park, and her faithful assistant is busy with... something else. Lady is certain it's important and something that serves her, whatever it is.

As Wicked Lady approaches the entrance, she frowns at the length of the line. Her parasol rests on her shoulder, keeping the sun off of her face, as she glares at the crowds who stand in her way. Looking ahead, she sees the ticket booth. Wait... they expect her to pay, too?

Utter Nonsense. Wicked Lady tsks and walks away. Seemingly leaving without incident.

Until minutes later, the vroom of her pink jeep can be heard roaring from the distance. As she approaches the fence, Lady's jeep takes off and flies overhead. Wicked Lady then jumps out, floating down into the park while holding her parasol over her head.

Several park employees seem to be taking issue to this.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari needed some time to himself to handle the recent Seriss fight. So he went to a theme park with his mom, and his mom is off getting tickets and popcorn. He's sitting on a bench, tapping the backside of it as he spreads his arms back and looks towards the sky.

Running her out of mana didn't work because she can just heal it with some tool. So what now? Also. Tracy keeps insists he turned into an angel and fired a beam of light and he doesn't remember this at all.

Tracy? He's munching a tuft of cotton candy on a toothpick next to Hinote looking introspective too. The two are brainstorming as Hinote keeps staring towards the sky....

An a jeep enters his vision from the right, flies by and drops a lady on a parasol who floats down. Jeeps... aren't supposed to do that! He stands up and runs off just as his mom enters from the right and she's distracted by this too. Which is lucky because it gives Hinote time to run back behind a tent for some fortune teller like tent and pops out the other side as Pulp Noir! Detective. He frowns as he takes off after the falling-slash- floating villainess.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Veronica is in the line too. No, not when Wicked Lady first showed up, but later, seconds before her car forced itself in and she gracefully floats into the part. Had she seen someone do that before? No? It must have been her imagination.

Sense of deja vu aside, looks like she is going to have to get herself free entry too, and quickly too, before something else happens to those employees. She is quite frankly more concerned given how many of them are approaching Wicked Lady.

"Moonlit Heist, Phantom Thief Release, My Evolution!", Veronica calls out after finding a secluded spot, snapping her fingers and summoning the Hallward painting's blessing. Glowing mist wraps around her, and her magical garments materialise, accompanied by feline ears sprouting from her scalp, and a swishing tail emerging behind her.

"The Princess of Sarek, with hope held tight, I leap through shadows to light up the night!" she sings the final verse, holding her cane tightly in her hand.

She kinda wishes she had found a way to learn that clone technique Mami had shown her long ago. Oh, well, no use worrying about what you don't have.

"Good day, fine Lady, what type of merriment are you looking for at Dream Kingdom?", she bows towards the villainess. "Will a magic trick be to your taste?", she smiles taking her hat off her head. With a synchronised swish of a tail and a tap of her cane, calling cards fly out of her hat, raining down on the employees closing in on Wicked Lady.

The Princess of Sarek's card get to action shine faintly in the light of day, and all of a sudden, an urge to leave the place fills the employees with an urge to leave.

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Wicked Lady doesn't yet notice the approaching Pulp Noir, but the phantom thief directly addressing her is a bit harder to miss.

Especially when her calling cards compel the non-magicals to leave. Which they do, in droves. The security guards coming to approach Wicked Lady suddenly decide that they're not being paid enough for this ridiculousness, and several other employees suddenly leave their posts. The parkgoers, too, decide that they all have somewhere else to be. Before long, this part of the park that should be crowded is now completely empty. Almost eerily so.

Wicked Lady's high heels land on the concrete ground of the park, and she folds up her parasol and tucks it under her arm before applauding. "Amazing! Incredible! You made the entire crowd disappear. How delightful!"

Of course, with no one here to get mad at, there's no reason for her to unleash a youma and terrorize everyone, right?

Sadly, no. Today she's going to make a mess regardless.

"Let me show you a magic trick of my own!" she says, before pointing her umbrella at the nearest kiddie-coaster, now emptied of children thanks to Sarek's magic. The cars jump off the rails and turn into something that looks not unlike a caterpillar. "Catacoaster! Stop this dashing heroine from getting in my way!"

The youma roars its own name, "CATACOASTER!" before slamming into the ground. Its wheels spin and squeal like a racecar as it chases after the catgirl, trying to run her down.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Oh well done, Sarek!" calls a voice from above, sounding incredibly relieved. A familiar voice, that is, belonging to a boy with bubblegum pink tips in his fluffy black hair, a glittery eyeliner outline of a moon on his forehead, smudged glasses on his face.

He's back in the haori over the skinny jeans and the violently pink t-shirt that says 'UNFORTUNATELY THE VIBE IS CONTINUING TO DETERIORATE' and has a giant rat pushing over an oildrum marked radioactive.

Above? Yeah he's looking over the side of the jeep, and then he stands up in the flying jeep and watches, arms crossed over the roll bars. He doesn't call out Pulp Noir's presence to Wicked Lady, but he does wink at the detective boy.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Pulp Noir gives a little salute to Wicked Mask, but otherwise doesn't call out his presence. Alright that's... Wicked Lady. The one Mask warned them about right? Anyways, probably not a good idea to prod the dark general regardless of who they are. So instead, there's a youma to shoot at.

Which means he pulls out two silver pistols and fires a volley of homing magical shots from the tips of them, each pistol marked with a Ace of Spades in the grip in ivory.

"ACE IN THE HOLE!" he calls out as he aims right for the face. He's trying to get it's attention.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Why, thank you, glad that pleased you so much", she smirks at the villainess. With that, even if she decided to go all out here, no civilian would be at risk of getting in the way of her little game. She is not in fact leaving this place. After all, either Wicked Lady indulges herself how much she wants, which leaves Veronica a chance to chat with her in such a long time, or she brings out a youma, and she is here to do something about it.

"I see you really like vehicles", the Princess of Sarek smiles. She will no doubt have to keep her wits about her with something that long, but even so, she doesn't let the cheerful demeanor slip out of her face. "Nice catacoaster, Wicked Lady! I just need a coaster, and I can use that title too", the cat thief winks at her.

She leaps backwards to steady herself on top of a merry-go-round, gaining a few seconds to watch it try to run her down. "And a race on the whole!", she leaps away again, completing Pulp Noir's title in her own way, landing on solid ground, taking a few more breaths while she still can. That thing is certainly being persistent.

"Why, thank you, Wicked Mask", Veronica grins at the pink-haired boy. She certainly didn't expect to cross paths again so soon. "It is my turn to entertain today", she remarks, focusing her eyes again on the rollercoaster.

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Wicked Lady is indeed the girl that Mamoru warned you about, but the roller coaster youma is the more pressing and immediate concern. As it gets shot in the face from a yet unseen Pulp Noir, the silver bullets imbed themselves into the youma-metal casing. Smoke emits from the bullet holes and trails behind Catacoaster as it barrels around the now-emptied midway.

As Veronica leaps onto the merry-go-round, Catacoaster roars and comes to a stop. It watches the sea creatures spin round and round for a moment, getting confused and dizzy. Before it can move, Wicked Lady shouts, "Wait! Don't ruin the merry-go-round!"

The dark lady happily walks over to the ride and grabs one of the poles, stepping on as it moves before finding a dolphin to rest upon. As the ride spins and spins, Catacoaster watches its creator vanish around one side and reappear on the other. Lady shoos it away. "Go after the boy. Leave this ride alone!"

The kidde coaster youma turns towards Hinote and pursues him for a moment, slithering as it charges towards him far faster than anything that big has any right moving. "CATACOASTER!"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Up in the flying jeep, Mamoru gets his phone out and starts taking pics of Wicked Lady on the merry-go-round and texting them to New Moon. "Oh, Wicked Lady!" he calls, "I'm taking pics for your mother, smile!!"

Flash, no flash, motion trail, wide lens, whatever, so many variants--

Then he's watching Pulp Noir and his eyebrows go up when the Catacoaster picks up the pace and barrels along like Doc Brown's steam engine. "My Lady," he calls again, tapping his chin, "who should I cheer for? Catacoaster or the mahoujin bringing a smile to your pretty face?"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Pulp Noir got the catacoaster's attention. Now he kinda wish he hadn't but that's hindsight. Besides, it gives Princess of Sarek some breathing room now. Which is good.

Bad is that Wicked Lady goes for Sarek. Bad. Very bad.

Pulp Noir leaps atop a ride and starts running along the track, upwards along it's rail, what seems to be a 'people mover' of some sort, and holds the brim of his fedora and runs. "Come on, feet of Mercury, where are ya?" he says as he's quick to run! Just not Tuxedo Kamen Quick. He can't keep this up forever either. He eventually dives through the top of a tent and crashes down into what seems to have been some sort of circus attraction going on before everyone bailed. "Huh." he goes as he runs through the three ring circus this has become both literarily and figuratively.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Uh, that's interesting, so there are things Wicked Lady doesn't want to destroy. Maybe that could tell her a bit more of how she got corrupted? After all the first time they crossed paths, she wasn't doing anything in particular either, just New Moon fetching food for her. So basically, nothing is getting destroyed, if they play their cards well, to borrow a certain metaphor, Veronica thinks with a smirk.

er enthusiasm stops slightly at hearing Wicked Mask talk? Pictures for her mother? So all this time, he has known where Usagi is, and let them continue worrying? What reason could he have for hiding that information?, Veronica ponders. She would like to think about the matter more, but Pulp Noir is being targeted by Catapillar now.

"What about playing with light then, Wicked Lady? Shall we bring the night to the day? Transient Lunar Beam!", she announces her next move just as brightly, aiming it precisely at one of the wagon connections. "race yourself for this! What do you say now, Wicked Lady?"

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
While Wicked Mask takes pictures, Wicked Lady leans out of the merry-go-round. Both high heels on the ground, one hand hanging onto a pole, and the other hand stretched out. She's wearing a big, happy-but-still-evil smile. Despite being relatively near Sarek, she's not attacking her at all, just having a wickedly joyous time.

The merry-go-round glows darkly. It's... going faster, actually. Faster and faster, as Wicked Lady laughs louder and louder.

"Cheer for me, papa! Your darling daughter!" she says, which doesn't really answer his question, but maybe actually it kindof does.

Catacoaster keeps chasing after Pulp Noir, riding on the track after him. The moon beam hits the coaster's connection, effectively cutting it in half, which unbalances it and causes it to derail. Crashing into the tent that Hinote just dove into.

What does Wicked Lady say to that? Well, she can hardly be expected to pay attention with the ride she's on going around and around so fast, but she trusts her minions to handle it for her. "Catacoaster, do the needful!"

The poor youma can't do a thing right now. It landed on its back and is trying to roll itself upright.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Cheer for her? Oh, that Wicked Mask can do.

"My grown-up baby girl! Of course I'll cheer you on, I'll always cheer you on. I love you so much, you're so clever and brave, and you're so strong-- and your youma are funny, just like mine! Papa's proud of you! Possibly in a slightly evil way right now, but still definitely proud!"

Mamoru calls this while leaning his front against the roll bar and spreading his arms wide, calling out his praise with his whole chest, huge smile in place. "And they don't truly hurt anyone, which is my favorite part! You calculate them so perfectly, my clever Lady, they're always just strong enough for the mahoujin that face them to have a little challenge~!"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Pulp Noir is faced with a Catacoaster on it's back. He can run or he can fight. Well he's gonna fight. Whipping a Tommy Gun out of his coat, he runs towards the Catacoaster and leaps onto it's 'tummy' for lack of a better term and starts firing down into the beast with magical shots, rat and tat ata tat. He just keeps up, waiting to be thrown off, or worse.

He can hear the commotion outside, and that hideous laughing. He frowns a little as the brim of his fedora darkens his masked face.

"It's a dark and stormy night." he mutters under his breath as he keeps firing, trying to do as much damage to a possible weakpoint as he can.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Well, it doesn't seem right to interrupt this moment between father and daughter now, not since there are no civilians around and neither her nor Pulp Noir are being targeted by Chibiusa. They have a youma left to deal with anyway while they enjoy themselves.

The youma has been thrown on its back, anyway, so they wouldn't even be in a rush to take it out, but it would still be reckless to leave it be and give it a chance to recover despite both her and Pulp Noir's effort.

The ruby on Veronica's hand shines, and a prism forms in front of her, floating between her and Catacoaster. "Seven-hued Flames!" A stream of Rainbow fire bursts from the prism, directed at the roller coaster youma.

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Ehehehehe! Wicked Lady is having the time of her life riding on a merry-go-round that's maybe a bit merry-go-way-too-fast. The bearings are starting to smoke, the lights are sparking a little, and after a horrifying metal creak the ride tilts on its side and rolls free.

Wicked Lady is still on it, and this would honestly be a problem if she wasn't a dark general. As it is, she's just shifted over to sitting on one of the animals and clinging tight while the thing slows down.

She might... actually need to recover after this one. Or throw up. Or both. Apparently dark-powered henshin armor doesn't protect one from dizziness.

As for the Catacoaster, it roars defiantly as Pulp's bullets tear into its belly. "CATACOASTER!" When Veronica catches up, the combined firepower of the two mahoujin is enough to destroy the youma outright.

As the dark energy is banished from the youma, all that's left is a derailed kiddy coaster that thankfully had no kids on it.

Wicked Lady's sideways merry-go-round crashes into a couple of empty tents which eventually slows it down, and the dark general stumbles out of the wreck. As she float-sits in the air, she clutches her stomach. Upon spying the Princess of Sarek and Pulp Noir near her defeated youma, she calls out, "I still expect to see you at the moon wedding!"

Eventually she makes it to the flying jeep and sits down. She mutters to Mask, "We're leaving," before the Jeep peels out and starts flying off.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
As the Jeep takes off, the two on the ground see Mask drop down in the seat and give them a peace sign with his arm out the window.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Pulp Noir blinks once as the kiddy coaster and whews and then turns to Wicked Lady. "This case is close. Scram." he says as he gives a thumb sideways in an away direction and looks on over to Princess of Sarek. "HEY, Princess of S. You alright?" he calls out. He frowns as he gets an invite. Will he go? Maybe.

Maybe.

He draws his hat off and wipes his brow as he whews. At least his mom ran away to safety with the others. He puts the hat back on. "I need to go find my mom, now, Sarek, thanks for the help!" he says. "Or vice versa. This was a circus." he says, as he starts running out of the tent at a brisk but less emergency laden pace.

He throws a peace sign back at Wicked Mask.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
The youma is stopped, no civilians have been harmed, the family has had their moment on an enchanted merry-go-round, seems like all it's good in a day's work. She could probably go back and keep working on what to wear at the upcoming wedding, as Wicked Lady reminds them about.

Should she go something traditional? Something that adapts her henshin look for a wedding format? (Even if her magical girl uniform could probaaably pass if she wanted to? Still seems like a shame to wear the exact same thing for an important ceremony.)

She still has a response for the invitation, a hastily created and thrown calling card with a basket of rice in place of the usual insignia, as well as the confirmation in writing she will be there. The basket of rice has Luna, Artemis and Diana on it as well, for an extra touch. Flipping it on the other side shows Anko.

"Thank you too, Noir! Catch you around", the cat thief replies, leaping away from the park.
