Chilling In The Subway
Date of Scene: 26 April 2025
Location: Crystal Tokyo
Synopsis: Several mahoujin meet in a subway station in Crystal Tokyo. Some stay and chat, others pass through. Hopes and plans about the current situation are discussed. Turns out the future has really clean bathrooms.
Cast of Characters: Laisa Samuiko, Mamoru Chiba, Veronica Perenna, Amanda Faust, Minako Aino

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
There are a lot of things that have been missing in the 30th century Crystal Tokyo. Life signs, activity, a general feeling of safety, etc. One thing that seems to be missing nearly everywhere in what used to be the city is running water, which is what makes it very odd that in this one spot there is a lot of it.

The ground here is especially damp and very cold. There's icey slush everywhere. There are no structures here for a mile or two save for one singular fountain that has been freshly frozen over. At the top of the fountain is a very painstakingly detailed ice sculpture of a robed woman with very wide feathery angel wings, reading a book that she holds in both arms.

There has also been a fight here. Droid parts are scattered all over the place. Not nearly as many as other groups have been facing, but it's pretty clear that someone ran across a pack of Droids and took down several before... something happened. The evil machines have holes in their bodies that seem to all be covered in water, where Laisa's weaponry stabbed them and was left to melt.

There is blood on the ground.

    Yikes.

As for Laisa herself, she has found herself in the subway system that has a nearby entrance that is completely collapsed and almost hard to detect, having used her ice powers to briefly pry open the rubble in the collapsed stairway. She's left a couple of other tiny ice sculptures around where the entrance should be, giving people a trail to follow if they want to find her.

As she sits on a bench in the abandoned subway platform, she holds a pack of ice against her leg and desperately hopes that her friends find her before the enemy does.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
There's at least one friend who does, and he does have a communicator so he can be tracked, and all he had to say to whoever was with him just now was, 'Oh a survivor! I'll get them out--' and then he vanished.

Just walked into the air and disappeared like it was a door to nowhere.

Now, Tuxedo Kamen's appearing in punching distance of Laisa, braced to fight droids, and there's...

"Oh damn! Let me fix that for you?" the tall boy in the mask asks, the D: clear in his voice.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
After a bit of time spent in Sarek, the princess of the island has separated from the rest of the group to explore the subway. They have the communicator anyway to reconvene later. With all that Luna has found about the droids, she is not sure if they can transmit their visuals to each other.

For the sake of confusing Black Moon on how many of them are here, she has used her disguise magic to keep her hair blonde, her eyes pink, and fashion her hair like twintails with hearts, while she is now wearing a red dress with white ruffles and a yellow bow clipped to her top by a reflective heart, with red, white and yellow elevator boots and white stockings with a decorative clef near the top hem. And rainbow bracelets with clefs.

Even the communicator has changed a little, looking like golden and black headphones with a red mic. She should dub this form... Sonata Cheer. Hmm, that should be workshopped probably.

The carefree attitude she shows changes when she finds the traces Laisa has left behind, and she pics up the pace, only dispelling her disguise once she is at the angel's side. "I see you have been busy", she smiles at Mou Fubuki, but her eyes are darting to the wound. "How much does that hurt?"

"That would be very nice", she comments on Tuxedo's offer. "I have packed some things for this situation, but your magic would be much faster."

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Laisa glances up as Tuxedo Kamen suddenly appears before her. She doesn't move the ice pack. It's a long gash, starting from just above the ankle and going for about four inches. It isn't too deep, but it's definitely bad enough to hurt.

When Sonata Cheer appears, Laisa doesn't recognize her at first, but her face lights up when she notices who it is.

"They caught me slipping up," she explains to the other two. "Please do."

She tries to shift around on the bench a little bit, only to wince and gnash her teeth a little, gripping that ice pack a little bit harder. "Ah... moving's still a bad idea. I'm glad you found me."

Turning to Veronica, she teases her a little. "I'm gonna have to be careful how I treat people, since any one of them could potentially be you. I imagine that makes dressing up a bit more interesting."

She glances between Sarek and Kamen and asks, "How have the others been doing? Holding up?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy isn't comfortable with letting Veronica run off on her own! Especially to run off underground. Avoiding enclosed underground spaces that aren't being upkept for human occupation is a basic safety rule! Poison gasses could build up, the ceiling could collapse, etc etc.

She considers using her own disguise, but decides there isn't need for it right now. If the droids can clearly see her face it won't matter anyway.

When they come upon the battlefield she comments, "Damn... Was this one of us, or a survivor?" And upon noticing the fountain she silently notes that someone with ice powers was here and less silently wonders, "Is even the water from fountains safe to drink? Should've brought a filter... I guess we can always boil it... Is that blood?"

She follows the trail, and opts to switch to flight mode, the helmet and extra armor potentially slight protection from falling rocks that aren't big enough to crush her. Plus she can filter the smell of rot and death from her air.

And then into the tunnel and there's Laisa and Tuxedo Mask. "How bad is it?" she asks as she approaches. "Um... we got swarmed, but were able to break through until they retreated and tried to trick us with a fake survivor. Was gonna lure us into a building rigged to explode. Fortunately we had people who could sense that. What about you, how've you guys been doing?"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It's not long at all -- it's one knee bent and on the dirty floor, glove off, hand extended over the gash... "Here, let go the ice now," Mamoru murmurs as the anaesthetic prelude to active healing kicks in, and the glow commences. He smiles distractedly at the stranger, then does a double-take, almost slipping his concentration for the task at hand. "You're not my daughter in a new henshin, and you can't possibly be from here--"

Sonata Cheer and the Veil don't work great for Mamoru honestly, but it's always funny to see, especially when it the veil is immediately lifted. "Oh! Hahaha. Good disguise, Sarek-chan."

"I don't know where everyone is without looking, but I think everyone has communicators-- oh, do you have one? Do you need one?" he asks Laisa.

And then Amy's there, and a tension in Tux's shoulders decreases. "We got swarmed, then blew up the ground and ran into the subway tunnels and blocked them off behind us. Then Sarek-chan got us a Short Rest in her magic paintings."

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Veronica smiles at the tease, glad to see her in high spirits. "I am sure you would be able to find me out", she teases back. This isn't actually a proper henshin shift after all. The Veil would label this under the Princess of Sarek. Which is why she went for a completely different appearance, since it would be hard for Black Moon to associate it with her.

"It does, true. If I am out buying clothes, I don't have to try them on, I can just imagine them on me", she winks at her, taking her hand while Tuxedo Kamen works his magic, literally so. "I could always take suggestions if there is something you would like to see."

"Much appreciated", she bows her head at Tuxedo impishly. "It keeps Black Moon on their toes on our exact numbers", she explains. "You never know with these droids." A few portraits tappings later and she is back with a few pain relievers just in case.

"Hello, Red", the Princess of Sarek greets the other arrival. "Pretty much what Tuxedo Kamen said."

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Laisa moves the ice pack away when asked, and allows Mamoru to do his magic. The anesthetic takes the pain away, and as Tuxedo Kamen asks an honest and important question he can feel a rush of Laisa's embarrassment. If he's reading her feelings then it's very clear she thinks of herself as an idiot in this moment.

"I have it. I just forgot about it in the moment." She reaches up to touch the earpiece, and notices that it's a bit frozen over. "I think my magic blocked the mic for a moment. It'll melt."

Laisa watches Amy approach and raises an eyebrow at the notion of a fake survivor. "You mean like... a Droid pretended to be a survivor?" She closes her eyes and frowns for a moment, staying very still because for the moment she's not sure what motions will make things worse for her. Yes there's anesthetic at play here, but she's still sorting out her mind and feelings after being ambushed and fighting for her life, so she isn't really thinking things through at the moment.

"I got caught out alone. Saw swarms of Droids going after... someone else in the distance, probably the other groups. Some of them spotted me so I stirred up a blizzard and tried to hide in it. They were... tenacious even then. Reckless. I don't think they're programmed to value their own lives at all."

To her favorite princess, she grins confidently. "That little world of yours is pretty useful." At the thought of suggestions her smile turns a bit more soft. "I'll keep that in mind, for when times are a bit more fun. Though we should probably work a signal just in case."

She reaches into the pouch that rests just above her black and red plaid skirt and pulls out a ziploc bag, which in turn holds a number of ice cubes. She takes one of the ice cubes and pops it into her mouth, sucking on it for a moment before crushing it between her teeth. After chewing, she offers some to the other mahoujin. "Anyone want some ice? Probably the cleanest water you're going to find around here, unless you brought some yourself. Completely distilled, because of how my powers work."

Yeah, it doesn't have the same minerals that bottled or tap water would have, but it's better than running out completely.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy nods when asked if a droid pretended to be a survivor and nods. She looks concerned at Tuxedo Mask's tale. "You were trapped down here?! Wait... she has magic paintings with her?" She hasn't actually seen how the land of Sarek works, and looks questioningly at the person she assumes is Veronica in disguise.

And Veronica demonstrates retrieving items from the painting in front of her. "Oh. So that's how that works... you can still reach Sarek from the future??"

Surprising things over, she looks back to Laisa as... ice cubes are offered! "You know what, yeah. I used to chew ice all the time when I was-- anyway, I guess I can top up my water bottle, too."

She drops back out of 'flight mode' to default, plus her messenger bag, which she retrieves a water bottle from -- She's drank maybe a third of it, and pops one ice cube in her mouth and any others she can get to fill up the bottle before screwing the top back on.

"Thank you. All these different powers... healers, people with massive inventory storage, people who bring their own places, people who can make water... it really, this stuff's a game-changer compared to what we'd be going through with only our own powers, huh?"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
A droid faking to be a survivor? Veronica tilts her head. That sounds like a very big deal. Good thing they didn't use that same trick with them. Granted, Lapine and Lumie would probably be able to sense that. Probably Tuxedo too, with his ability to make emotions flow. "Well, glad it didn't hurt you."

Stubborn little things, Veronica sighs at Mou Fubuki's summary, but her expression also shows admiration for how well she had handled herself. "Too bad they are so dumb, else they would know not to mess with you now", she passes her what she brought from her little world.

"Your ice magic is very versatile", Veronica looks with gleaming eyes, taking one of the ice cubes and popping it in her mouth, the cold of the frozen water soon changing to fresh liquid.

For a second she thinks back to the statuette Laisa made for her. She can probably decide just how cold she wants things. That level of control is incredible. "Thank you very much", she thanks the mahou dear to her heart. "Maybe your favourite flowers as a signal?" she suggests.

"Just the small ones they found on me at the exhibit", the blonde mahou replies to Amy. "Any two paintings can work to enter Sarek. And I am surprised I can too. I stocked it just in case, but I was expecting it not to work, or to lead me to another Sarek. I guess that's a magic land for you."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It doesn't take long, honestly, for that magic to work: the wound is sealed up, gone, with only the blood left over that had already been spilled. But as Laisa said, she makes ice. "I'm sure you have enough water to rinse that," he says with a quiet chuff of a laugh. Then he stands up, brushing himself off -- there's a lot of dirt and dust on him, easy to see on all that fine black fabric, but he looks fine-- and then he nods firmly. "I'd love some, thanks," he says as he takes some ice and pops it in his mouth and crunches.

He's an ice-chewer. Must be nice.

"They're not alive, they have no life in them, if it's any consolation. That, at least, I can tell. They're not like the bosses. I'm gonna go back and check on Chibiusa-chan and Usako," he says then, and without another word at all, he vanishes again. Teleporters.

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Laisa nods to Amy and says, "Yeah, I'd probably be doomed if I came here alone. Honestly, at this point I'd be figuring out how to safely turn back and get home." Her red eyes dart towards Mamoru for a moment. "Luckily that wont be necessary. I think past experience really taught people a lot, though I have to admit I missed out on the Silver Millenium stuff."

Laisa gratefully accepts the pain relievers, pops one into her mouth and puts the rest into her pouch. "Thanks. You're such a sweetheart. If they knew not to mess with us our lives would be a whole lot easier."

Noticing the gleam in Veronica's eyes, she blushes a bit, and then smiles. "Take as many as you need. I can make them as long as I'm in henshin."

At the suggestion of using her favorite flowers as a signal, Laisa thinks about it nods. "That will work, thank you." After all, Laisa still has that card that Veronica gave her, so she knows which flowers her favorite painter means. "I suppose we could add yours to that list, too."

Laisa looks down at the blood on her leg and shrugs. "I mean... having a little bit of blood on me doesn't exactly hurt my rebellious image." She pauses for a moment, then says, "Though... it might make it hard to tell if I get wounded again."

Before Mamoru leaves, Laisa says, "Thank you so much!"

Now, at this point, her ice reserves have taken a hit. So she takes one more longing look at Veronica, savoring her feelings while knowing that they'll get shut off in a minute, and then henshins into Mou Fubuki for a moment. She forms a bit of snow, packs it against her leg, and then warms it with her hand to melt it and make water. Doing this a couple times cleans off the dried blood. Then she stands up and, with a smile that is a bit less warm but still kind, she walks over to give the Princess of Sarek a hug.

Afterwards, she starts filling her bag with fresh ice again. "Thanks for coming for me. I needed it."

Amanda Faust has posed:
And Mamoru is gone. "I wonder if he can just... do that now. Honestly, teleportation woulda been my second choice for a superpower." Amy comments, and when the Snow Angel hugs Veronica, she walks up to offer hugs too.

Sucking on an ice cube, she muses, "I usht oo crunch aish all zha shime." She pushes it into her cheek so she can speak, "I wonder why I stopped?"

The temptation is too strong. She must... *crunch*.

"Oh, right. I was worried about messing up fillings or cracking damaged teeth. But I guess now my teeth always regenerate to perfect condition, anyway."

Veronica Perenna has posed:
"I wasn't there for the trip to the past either, but whatever Black Moon does here, we have our communicators", she squeezes Laisa's hand affectionately. She doesn't know if those were there for the other trip, but they are prepared now.

She is a bit concerned that Laisa's freeze over while fighting, though. They should find some sort of workaround for that. What if this exact scenario happens again?

"You are a treasure", Veronica replies with a soft smile when she is offered more of the ice cubes. "Just try not to overexert yourself. You just spent a lot of energies", she caresses her forehead.

Veronica chuckles at the rebellious comment. Yeah, honestly it's a bit of a problem if the wound opens again, but they are all here, and Laisa herself can probably tell if she feels it flowing. "I know what our parents will say. All huffy about us disappearing with no contact. And we look like we came out of an apocalyptic movie."

When her cute angel comes to her for a hug, Veronica responds in kind and with a quick kiss. "I am glad you are safe. Anytime you need something, I will do my best to be there."

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Regarding the communicators, Laisa will likely just have to remember that they are there. Just because the cold doesn't bother her that doesn't mean the same can be said for any equipment she gets. Or maybe there are communicator cozies?

"Right. Need to remember I can call you at any time," she says with a smile. Being told that she's a treasure sends a slight chill through her. Well, really that's the Rosary reacting, though it wouldn't be doing that unless Veronica's compliments were effective on the heart frozen underneath.

"I'm sure I'll be fine. Besides, when we settle in for the day there's always a nice little island I could go rest in. That is if you'll have me," she says with a wink.

Amy's comment about Kamen teleporting is met with a shrug. "Maybe? Seems really convenient to have a teleporting healer, honestly. Especially in this terrain."

Regarding their parents, Mou Fubuki chuckles a bit bitterly. "Oh, I'm sure they'd hate what we're doing right now. So improper. I should be studying law, really. Maybe they'd be happy if I managed to sue the Black Moon Clan for emotional damage." She glances around at the subway station and says, "Well, property damage too."

Veronica gets a kiss right back before Mou Fubuki pulls away, and she cups the princess's cheek for a moment and says, "Thank you. I'm glad to see you well, though I knew such crude little robots would never be able to catch the thief of my heart. I'll happily give you anything you need."

Then notices Amy going for a hug and blinks with a bit of surprise. With a bit of a smirk she says, "Okay, but no kissing for you." Then she hugs Amy briefly before going back to filling her ice bag.

She also passes Amy a few more cubes to fill up her water bottle. She offers another to Veronica if she wants it, but if they're storing food in Sarek then it's probably the case that she has plenty of drinkable water already.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy shrugs. "The memory bubble was a lot less hazardous. Like being stuck in a world of videogame NPCs. ...Well, except for some of the spots... if you ended up in the end of the world, had to find another portal quick. But you pretty much knew if you were in a safe spot quickly, and then could wander around exploring for hours safely if so."

The others being up parents. "We're time travelling. Does any time need to have passed back home when we return?" Amy looks thoughtful, cocking her head to the side. "...I guess if this changed since Chibiusa left it, then perhaps it does. Are we on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rules? ...Nah, I guess it's more like... This future and our present are parallel dimensions, maybe? Existing at the same time."

Oh. It was not just friendly hugs. "Oh, uh..." Amy exchanges an awkward friendly hug with Mou, then steps back and looks between the others, "Oh, uh, congratulations!"

She does get out her water bottle and top it off with ice. "How long have you two been, uh...?" She's not even sure she should assume 'dating' is the right word to use. There are so many kinds of relationships and it seems like she's only heard words for a few of them.

Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Having you in would be my pleasure", Veronica exhales air amused at the smirk. "And what do you think about having first choice of room? That is, unless you don't want to camp out under the stars."

She should put that on the list of future dates and see what Laisa thinks of it, actually. Not necessarily in Sarek. Maybe somewhere in the countryside, if they can find the time for a quick trip first.

"Yeah, with so many droids swarming the place, there is hardly any better way to get past them", she agrees. "I wonder if he can sense what's going on at his destination." Was that how he knew to teleport in here?

"Maybe endangering a minor, and lèse majesté too, depending on the laws they have here. But I am sure future Usagi would be happy to take care of it so you don't have to", she mulls on it for a second. And she knows that Laisa doesn't enjoy law at all either.

Laisa's declaration of protection leads Veronica to lock her gaze on hers with a smile, almost losing herself in the icy pools of her eyes. "You already are. But I will treasure the moment when it will be your turn to help me in this future", she replies taking one more of her cubes. Sure, she has water in Sarek, but that's a gift from Laisa, is it?

"That seems interesting", she notes to Amy. "How long did it take for you to find out if a past place is safe? But I guess there must be some sort of connection, otherwise we could have been dropped off before Black Moon won and help future Usagi with her fight." Or maybe that was to avoid a paradox?

"We have been dating for a bit over a few days", she replies to Amy, interlacing her fingers with Laisa if she feels up to it. "There was a spark, and Mou chased it. Now we are exploring it fully." And she couldn't be happier for it.

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Laisa blinks at Amy. "Oh, so you were actually there. Honestly that almost sounds nice, like meeting period actors in a museum exhibit. Probably a bit more friendly than these Droids." After a pause, she adds, "Except when they aren't."

Camping under the stars has a certain appeal, but Laisa's heart is chilled in this form and her mind is going to practical matters. "I think, we'll probably want the best rest we can get. Though... considering how many people might end up staying with you, we may have to camp out anyways." With a wink, Laisa says, "I'll have to get a better feel for the place, as well as what rooms you have. Maybe you can show me around a bit more? The moonlit walk was lovely, but I feel like I've only scratched the surface."

On the subject of the time travelling ruleset, Laisa considers. "Maybe it's like... uhh that retro game... Chrono Trigger? Where time seems to pass roughly equally on both sides of the portal? I mean, like Sarek says, if we could've returned to before this disaster it kinda seems like we would have just done that." Then she crosses her arms and says, "Or maybe thinking of it in terms of time travel is wrong to begin with. It's not like we can cause a time paradox this way, because it's a different universe. It's just a different dimension with a different clock."

As laws and crimes are brought up, Laisa can't help but notice they're skipping over one of the most terrible, and honestly it's one she doesn't want to think about. "I'm sure. I hope she's alright, wherever she is. I'd hate to think..." She decides that actually, no, she doesn't want to finish that sentence.

"Well, if such moments are treasures, then they're all yours~."

At the congratulations, Mou Fubuki smiles at Amy and politely says, "Thank you." Then she's asked about the nature of their relationship and she glances at Veronica, then intertwines fingers with her when the offer is made. "I mean... we like each other? After the reverse-heist at the museum, I went to go hang out with her for a moment and started to realize I had feelings for her and we kindof... hit it off pretty well I think?"

She clears her throat and says, "Honestly, I'd probably be more focused on chasing her if this hadn't come up when it did. All the more reason for us to see this through, so we have something to look forward to."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy's awkward embarassed smile at mistaking the PDA for a friendly hug fades to a genuine one from watching the couple flirting. Awwww.

Amy's face lights up at the mention of a CLASSIC GAME. "You know Chrono Trigger?!" Pink sparkles change her outfit and hairstyle -- a top braid that makes her look even more like the future Sailor Vesta, a white cloak with a thin red-pink stripe, a strapless white bodice, a reddish-pink skirt and leggings matching her eyes -- and she does a little twirl. "Power is cuteness, and I've got the power!"

No one is going to get that reference, Amy. And she pouts slightly at remembering, "Ah, right, that wasn't the line in Japanese... anyway,"

She stands up straight, "I guess, yeah, time is going by on both ends -- woulda been nice if we'd come back to right when Chibiusa left--"

And then realization flashes across her face. "The Black Moon Clan left after her. It could be that this is how it was when they left..." She shakes her head, braid flicking back and forth. "I guess we'd have to ask a time travel expert."

She can't help smiling at the two of them talking about their relationship. "Just a few days in and now you have to spend it in the post-apoclyptic future, huh? Well, maybe that's not all bad for a relationship, at least you can spend lots of time together... Exploring is good! Relationships are... something I guess I never figured out..." Amy rubs the back of her head.

She considers the other topics brought up. "How does Tuxedo mask work? "I'm not sure. I know he can sense Chibiusa and I think Usagi-chan too... maybe it's based on how close he is to someone, or just being around them long enough?"

The red Puella Magi taps her chin. "Actually, I bet he can sense like... life, in general, and it's not so much that he can pinpoint people as it is that in an empty city, all of us stand out."

Back to the past. "I think, someone explained that the... 'memory bubbles'? If that's what we can call, like, each event-slash-area, were tied to what people witnessed and remembered in the past, or something? So if it was more about the memories of everyday life in a place, or a nonviolent event, then it was safe -- and if the memory was of a violent event, it usually was already in progress or seconds from starting when we arrived."

"And it was kinda nice? Like, yeah, when it was calm it was kinda like that... but it was also kinda creepy. Like being inside, like, an Elder Scrolls game? Everyone is NPCs and doesn't notice you until you get close or get their attention, if you get far enough away from them they'll forget again and go back to what they were doing... And like, if you ended up back in the same bubble, everyone was following the exact same routine again..."

Minako Aino has posed:
While the others talk about the whole time traveling situation and possibilities, the light click-clack of heels approaches the subway sstation from the direction that Kamen, and perhaps Sarek herself, had originally come. The familiar red hairbow and long blonde hair of Venus is seen right before she ascends to join them.

"I can't say about how time travel works, but if we came back before they attacked that would mean that we'd come back before Small Lady had a reason to come back in the first place. Sounds like something Pluto would want to avoid." What? Even she could have some insight now and again! They had spent a bit of time at the Gates of Time when they were hiding the Shittenou after their liberation from Beryl and Obsidian. There was a lot of time to think.

A slightly relieved smile is flashed at the grouping here. "Glad to see everyone is still all right. I guess that means they haven't figured out how to track us again yet. I hope." Or at least the underground was proving far more useful to keeping safe.

She pauses just a moment before her gaze slides away to examine the little safe area breifly. "Please, *please* tell me the restrooms are intact?"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
Camping out due to many of them coming... isn't really unlikely. Her hideout isn't the biggest place, and she has liked something like 4 or 5 bedrooms? She wouldn't know why that would be the case, but it certainly is useful now. "I will show you all of it. From the rooms to the waterfalls, to the lakes, to the clearings."

And if they end up clicking that well, Veronica may very well present her with her own paintings to Sarek. If Laisa doesn't pick some up on her own first.

"You would give me an excellent chase, and you would have made me fall for you even them", Veronica considers the events of that hypothetical world.

Her heart beats a little bit faster at the imagination. Her heart probably would have been caught by Mou long before she herself would have been. "I will be patient, and wait for us to be back from this trip", she promises to her.

Those sweet events will be worth the wait, she is sure. "Maybe a paradox would be that Chibiusa-chan wouldn't have to reach out to us if we saved her before she would have a reason to our world. "But maybe it only works a misterious different way. We hardly know how time works even besides this trip."

Then Sailor Venus comes in, and states that while not a paradox, the whole thing would have gotten Pluto's attention. "Can she tell what kind of thing would pose a danger to time by a magic instinct, or is she working off of something she was taught?", she observes curiously.

"We are all safe, glad to see you are too. I don't think anyone has checked the restrooms here", the cat thief replies to Venus, her gaze shifting to Red and Mou Fubuki unsure.

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
"Uh... Flea, right? I'm sorry I don't really remember every line in the game," admits Mou Fubuki. "I remember vaguely she... he? They had trans vibes, though."

"As for Tuxedo Kamen, I don't know. Glad he found me when he did, though."

Mou Fubuki looks down at her leg, twists it from side to side, decides that it's probably fine now and then stretches her arms for a moment. Then she smiles slyly at the Princess of Sarek and says, "Such a lucky lady I am, having the attention of such a dashing rogue. ... But yeah. We might catch a few happy moments here, but... I agree. We'll wait. Besides, just because we've caught each other, that doesn't mean we have to stop chasing," she adds with a wink.

Mou Fubuki looks up as Venus appears, commenting on the time travel aspects. "That makes a lot of sense. Maybe if it'd cause a paradox it just isn't possible, or maybe this world's Pluto is managing all of that."

On the topic of restrooms, the snow angel blinks and points to where the signs are. "Um... honestly, I haven't had to check yet. You could try them?" She clears her throat and says, "Well... if you need running water, to make it flush or wash your hands, we can probably use my ice for that, too. Just uh... let me know."

She's actually not sure if there's any running water here. She doesn't trust it to be clean. She doesn't even know if there's still soap in the dispensers, or power for the hand driers, or if such things even exist here.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks between the lovebirds. "I don't see why you have to limit yourself--" Wait, how many times in horror stories have people gotten caught by monsters/villains because they were too focused on eachother when they only thought they were safe? "--Nevermind. Still, maybe we'll get a quiet evening to rest once we've reached the palace." She's not going out with anyone right now, so she's inclined to encourage those who are to make the most of it while they have the chance.

Amy turns at the clack-clack-clack of heels. "I'm not sure a paradox is possib--" Amy shakes her head. "No, I guess anything could happen at this point. Still, it seems to be some kind of universe travel rather than time travel. If time travel were possible, wouldn't the Pluto of this time have gone back and stopped this all from happening in the first place?"

Amy considers this. "Shit. Maybe she did, but it's like with Future Trunks? The future devastated by the Androids still exists..."

At the question of bathrooms, she looks to Veronica, the only one of them who's been down here already. Then looks back to Venus and shrugs. "The places that aren't destroyed have been pretty usable... Japan does build for disasters, and this is like, future tech Japan that's invented stuff we can't even dream of. So it's worth a shot!"

Minako Aino has posed:
Sailor Venus exhales a long, slow breath with shoulders slumping forward just a bit as she lets her eyes sink shut. This wouldn't be the first time she's had an encounter with a public bathroom after a long hard battle. Although... This was the first time in the future. "It'll still be better than Paris. Seriously for as beautiful as that place is, it's kind of stinky." Her nose crinkles in recollection.

A curious glance is cast the way of the lovebirds becoming aware of their growing attraction with just a hint of a smile. She's not about to remark on it though and ruin the mood! Besides she's still got to deal with other issues. "Okay, wish me luck," she utters as she breezes by toward the resstrooms to dissapear inside.

Silence follows. And then...

"OH MY GOD!"

It's not a cry of fear but perhaps more a squeal of delight? Maybe she really did get lucky. After a suitable amount of time has passed she returns carrying an armload of packaged snacks carried in both arms with a gleeful grin. "There's a *snack dispenser* in there! And a couch! It's super clean and fully stocked!"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Hmm, I see, I see", the princess of Sarek lilts, her eyes half-closing playfully. "Well then, sounds like my previous disguise is going to get a lot of use, and maybe some more besides. I am considering the name Sonata Cheer for the one you saw", she remarks, briefly shifting her eyes to silver, green, and yellow, before settling back on blue. The transitions even had a heart shape at one point.

Of course, since Mou Fubuki is aware of everyone who is supposed to be here, any "new" magical girl suddenly showing herself around her would be just suspicious, but giving her happy surprises would be the fun part.

"Well, you know, we still have to help out Chibiusa", she tells Amy. "There is that big crystal palace we have to visit, then the dark energy obelisk and either before or after that find out what Black Moon is doing now, put a stop to it and make sure things are fine with Future Tuxedo and Future Moon." They are probably going to have some small moments of tranquility like this one, but they will generally be the exception.

A laugh comes out of Veronica's mouth when she hears Venus' cry of joy. "Sounds like luck has found her. I get the feeling she is going to miss having snacks in the restroom when we are done here. Maybe she will suggest it to our Moon for when she gets her own sparkling city."

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Mou Fubuki shrugs at Amy and says, "Well, I have one limiting factor." She taps one finger on her Rime Rosary. "As long as I need to stay in henshin, I can't really -feel- romantic feelings. Like... Right now I know she matters to me and that I find her charming, dashing and wonderful; but having my heart frozen over all the time dampens the mood just a little bit." And yet she is still being flirty. How is she normally?! "Besides... there are certain aspects that are more fun if we don't have to worry about safety, and Sarek-chan is right. There's a lot of work to do."

Glancing to the Princess of Sarek, she adds, "That said, there's a certain romance in danger, too. In having each other's backs, and learning to work together. Coming to each other's rescue."

At being told more details about the new disguise, the snow angel listens with interest. "Oh?" coos Mou Fubuki. "I actually like that name. Sonata Cheer. Like if someone told me that was an actual new magical girl I'd just believe them."

Laisa watches the brave and noble Sailor Venus, a true soldier in every meaning of the term, go off to face the grim, bitter reality of the post-apocalyptic public bathrooms. "Be strong," is all the well wishing she can offer her.

Though it seems that brave warrior returned victorious? "Wait... they got snacks?" She glances at Veronica and Amy, before looking back to Venus. "Huh... I guess underground subway snacks are riskier to get to than street level convenience store snacks. Or maybe they were just forgotten about?"

The snow angel crosses her arms and stands beside Veronica while considering out loud. "You never know. It might give our own Sailor Moon some ideas. Though it occurs to me... if bathrooms really are that clean, maybe we should note that. The people of this era probably know how the bathrooms are, and so that might be a place to check for survivors."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Paris? "We were in a literal ossuary full of dead bones. It wasn't supposed to smell good." Amy notes.

Her eyes widen as Fubuki explains the catch of the Rime Rosary. "Damn, really? Blue forbids the Cures from falling in love, I wonder what is it with some magical girl powers and that." She simply smiles slightly and nods at it being more fun when it's safe.

OH MY GOD!

Amy startles by the loud noise, but it's... delight? Eventually she walks over to take a look inside just as Venus comes back out. "Oh damn. There is a clean couch in here. ...Just how common are couches in ladies' rooms usually?"

    Beat.

Amy strides over to check another door. "Oh, damn!" She leans back out the doorway, grinning. "This one's got a couch and snack dispenser too! Score, gender-equality future! Wait, I didn't hear you break a machine, are those snacks free?!" Amy disappears into the room to check. "Alright, go 'post-scary-tee' future!" She comes out of the room grinning and holding just a couple of snacks, since she doesn't have much extra storage space left.

"I doubt it's so much bathrooms as advancements in cleanliness in general. Materials science or cleaning robots or whatever... Come to think of it we should proooobably ask Chibiusa what other differences we should take into account. Like, maybe she never thought to say 'survivors would hide out in the bathrooms' because it's just so obvious if you grew up here. ...Well. Lived here."

Minako Aino has posed:
Sailor Venus would point toward Amy when she realizes they were indeed free. The load she'd managed to obtain is set down next to the others as she crouches to free herself up, and pick and sort a bit through them. "That will help with supplies some so we're not running on empty. And," she adds with a little grin, "I meant Paris in general. I was there for longer than we were in the catacombs. I wasn't in them the WHOLE time."

The talk of survivors causes her to pause in consideration as she thinks it over. "It's quite possible, if people were down here when it happened they might have tried to hide there. But on other hand, if they were down here when it happened they might not have known what was going on, and tried to go to the surface to find out. It's still worth checking of course," she adds with a solemn nod. "But I know I personally would have advised some sort of safe shelter area for people in case of disaster." She would say it's logical but that was more Ami's area. For her it was just tactical.

A pack of cookies is torn open to begin nibbling on idly as she considers the issue. "What if we DO find survivors though? We can make sure we get them healed and leave them with some supplies maybe. It's not like we can take them with us though given the fights we'll be up against."

As Amy explores the mens' room she waves her cookie-bearing hand at her. "Amy-chan! You can't just *go into the boys room*!"

Veronica Perenna has posed:
"For some reason, curses that warp your feelings are really common", she muses to either of them. Laisa herself knows that she went from one to another, and Veronica's own roommate is like that. Though she is mostly sure that Hinata being nonplussed at everything is just how she normally is. Completing the sword shouldn't change things with her. "I am extremely happy to have you at my side both in and out of henshin, and if there is a time where you want a break from the frost, you know a safe space", she puts her arm around Mou's side.

"I will gladly wait for my turn. Seeing you come in for me with light shining on your wings would be indeed very romantic", the blonde magical girl smiles.

"Oh, right", Veronica mutters wide-eyed when Mou Fubuki brings up the possibility people might have been hiding in there. That changes a lot, they really should make a stop for them.

"I hope some of them were able to take them as refuge. We should keep an eye out for barricades. They probably tried to make some to keep the droids away." If those things had visited the restrooms, she has her doubts they would have stayed so intact.

She hmms at Venus' questions, and that turns into a frown halfway through. "I have grabbed literal piles of stuff, as much as I could in the little time we had, so we could theoretically give it out, but I don't even have a quarter of what would be needed to give it away so freely."

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
How common are couches in ladies rooms?

"Not as common as maybe they should be. Especially if they're clean," says Mou Fubuki. "I desperately hope that whatever cleans the restrooms also cleans whatever the couches are made of."

As she traces the rosary with her finger, Mou Fubuki says, "Well, I guess it's only natural. Emotions and magic are closely linked." Extremely happy? That's honestly really flattering, Mou thinks, coming from Veronica. Then again she feels the same way, leaning against her as the arm goes around her. "And I'm happy to be at your side. You're so perfect." She giggles and says, "I'll have to make sure I look just as dashing as you, then."

Mou looks down at the pile of snacks and considers it for a moment. A pick me up might not hurt, especially if they'll need to get moving again soon. She picks up a bag of Future Chips and rips it open, taking one out and chomping it down. "Mm," she says. After gulping, "These are... surprisingly good. Crunchy, salty... they must have made improvements to their mass snack production over the centuries." She holds the open bag towards Veronica, offering some to her.

The island of Sarek probably has enough food for them already, Fubuki knows, but... this is also a chance to break bread with friends.

On the subject of survivors, Mou Fubuki twists her lips into a frown and says, "I don't know. If the Devicers or Kamen haven't found any by now, I hope that means they're either sufficiently well hidden or have been moved elsewhere. The crystal spire seems to be the most promising location. If we do find some... we may want to keep them in one of our more hospitable pocket dimensions until we can find a better place for them. Unless they're already in a pretty secure bunker."

She reaches out with her chip-holding hand and forms a solid chunk of ice that's taller than she is, and as clear as crystal, which is unusually perfect for such a large block of ice. "I can probably protect them a bit in combat by forming ice walls around them, but... obviously, it's preferable if we can avoid that entirely."

    Munch chip. Munch munch munch.

Amy goes into the boys room, and Venus chastises her about it. Mou holds another chip in her hand, between her two fingers, and points it at the door to the men's room. "That's what you're worried about right now?" Hey, at least Amy is taking it well.

"I only hope that once we reach the palace we'll have a better idea of what we're up against and what needs to be done. Maybe someone there has been monitoring everything and all they need is a pack of helpful mahoujin to fall out of the sky." After a pause she adds, "Or maybe that's too much to hope for."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy gives Fubuki a mildly curious look when she has Opinions about couches. "It might just be they're made of stuff that can't get dirty, too."

When Venus chastises her for checking the boys' room, Amy's brain assembles a sentence about how it's just a room, and in a post-apocalyptic disaster situation the rules of where you can and can't go no longer apply,

    "It's just a--"

And then she realizes what was just said, to her, and she bursts into happy laughter at the irony and euphoria.

    After taking a breath, she's still smiling, "I suppose you're right, I can't."

She leans against the tunnel wall and exhales. "Phhhew. Well, I for one can't believe that Future Queen Usagi-chan wouldn't have made her palace the safest place to be and a redoubt for her people... but it's true that escorting them past the droids might be a problem. ...When we arrived, Mamoru said he sensed survivors and that we were going to help them, though."

Her smile suddenly changes to an 'a-ha!' expression. "Hey, that's right! Future you did advise the queen, right?! So, what would you suggest for shelters?"

She nods along at Sarek's comments of keeping an eye out for barricades -- "Although that could also be those things faking a survivor community," and them not having enough stuff to feed a whole survivor community.

"Oh, damn, future potato chips?" Amy smiles at the prospect of that and opens a bag to try. "Mmmmmmmh. Chips, bathrooms... I wonder what other stuff has improved over the centuries that we don't normally think of as like, future stuff." she muses, cheerfully.

Minako Aino has posed:
Sailor Venus falls silent as they talk about various situations. Though the reaction to her remark in the form of Amy laughing causes her to grin. It's quickly hidden behind her cookie as she chomps down on it more, and raises her eyebrows in a mock innocent manner. Perhaps she knew just what she was doing by making that remark. The last time she'd said something that pointed out Amy was a girl she'd been equally happy.

Or maybe it was just an honest reaction.

"We do have a lot of guys we're traveling with too, remember. They may not be with us right now but half of them can teleport." Again she gestures. "Just a good idea to be cautious in case."

The other line of question just earns a soft sigh. "That's what I would suggest. Safehouses or bunkers or something similar. Implementing it though? That's more a Mercury thing. She'd work out the logistics and all the details and the best way to do it. I do ideas, she does details." Pausing she considers, "The way she thinks, I just can't follow."

Reaching for a few more of the snacks she takes them in hand and tucks them into her little pocket space for now with a flick of her hand. "I'm going to head back to check on the others, and see about bringing them here. Maybe we'll know more by then."

Veronica Perenna has posed:
A rapid heartbeat and a smile when Mou Fubuki leans against Veronica, giving her a really close look and making her feel the comfort of her presence. How can she say she needs to make sure to be as dashing as her? Considering the teases, she is not sure if this meant to be another.

"Yeah, sure", Veronica chuckles, feeling warmer at the compliment. "You are already as dashing as can be. You don't need to change anything, Mou", she holds her close, giving her cheek a kiss.

At the offered snacks, she picks one from the bag and deftly opens it. "You are right, it's really savory", she comments after a bite. The traces of the infrastructure they have met around makes it easy to think this had been the utopia they had been told. This little meal the city has provided for a group of friends seems really nice.

"Thank you for the snack, you are the sweetest", she looks up from her snack towards Mou.

"You are right", Veronica recognises to both Mou Fubuki's and Amy's points. "I hope that if there really are some, they can only be really well hidden, and yeah, we should be on the lookout not to get tricked."

She would want to say that her calling cards could be a way since they behave differently whether someone has magic or not, but she has never tested how they work with nonmagicals aware of the Veil. Better leave this one to the experts.

"I hope the same too. I am sure that's the right way to feel here. Chibiusa's parents are savvy people, they would have survived this for sure. We will find a way", she comments confidently.

Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Mou Fubuki blinks as Venus points out the reason why its important to not just burst into the boys bathroom, then somewhat recoils in horror at the mental image. "Oh geeze." After a pause, she shakes her head and says, "Okay. No. I concede the point. You have the right idea."

Mou Fubuki glances at her ice block and frowns for a moment, then leans against Veronica and lets her henshin drop again. There's no reason for her to use ice powers right now and she wants to be close to her girlfriend... are they girlfriends? She turns that over in her head as she wraps her arm around the painter.

    Ahh, this feels nice.

"The Mercury of the future might also be working with a lot more knowledge of the Mercury from our time. She's had centuries to learn new tricks."

As Venus talks about heading out, Mou says, "Right. If we move on, we'll let you know." She taps her communicator. "In fact, we should tell the others about the restroom situation, just so they know."

Regarding fake survivors, Mou says, "Well, you've already seen one instance of that. We'll need to be careful about who we trust, but... If Mamoru said there's survivors, then I believe him."

As for improvements, Mou says, "Probably a lot. 900 years is a long time. I wonder if a long lived society would be better or worse at innovation. They might get stuck on old habits, but also you might never actually lose your expertise for centuries."

More compliments from Veronica, and Mou sheepishly says, "Oh dear, I'm not even the sweetest girl in this room. That goes to you~. And you are very dashing, especially in henshin."

As she glances towards the bathroom, she gives Veronica a squeeze and then considers. "We should probably move on soon, but let's make a note of this place. Just in case we need to retreat here for some reason." With a smile to Veronica she says, "If we don't find another good rest spot, we always have Sarek."

Amanda Faust has posed:
They actually do have a lot of guys in the group, and half of them can teleport. It doesn't occur to Amy to be scandalized, but she imagines the guys would feel awkward walked in on. "...Huh. Okay, good point, I'll knock on the door and announce before checking for supplies or survivors."

Amy nods as Venus says she'd suggest safehouses but leave the implementation up to someone else. "Makes sense. Check with the other senshi for ideas." She nods to Veronica. And to Mou.

She can't help smiling at how sweet they are together. It's a good thing she can regenerate damage to her body because they're going to give her diabetes!

Make a note... "In retrospect, a map woulda been a really good idea." And then her expression brightens: "Oh hey, there might be local maps around somewhere! I wonder if they still used paper maps? Maybe worth checking around this subway station for one."
