Precures tend to be more about punching, kicking and magically shooting their opponents than utility or other skills. However, Pretty Cures tend to have the power to purify, or wipeout darkness with powerful 'final' attacks that can exhaust the rest of their magical power during a fight. If you're fighting dark energy, it's always wise to call in a Precure!

Origin - Pretty Cure

PrettyCure.png

Pretty Cures, or sometimes abbreviated as just 'Precures' are magical girls (and very rarely boys.) whose power typically comes from a contact or connection with another magical kingdom's power, in order to help protect and fight for that kingdom, usually via an adorable mascot character such as a tiny bird, tiny cat, or other equally tiny animal-like creature, though in some casts it may be a more powerful deity. Usually they are granted a transformation item as well, such, for example- a make up compact, some sort of magical cellphone, or ring (or sometimes a mix of items!) that lets them channel this power to become a Pretty Cure. These are not exhaustive lists and are mere examples of the type of mascots or transformation items a Pretty Cure might have.

Pretty Cures typically wear gorgeous, beautiful dresses that will form during their transformation. They can be of numerous colors and styles. Their hair and eye colors might also change during the transformation, but otherwise don't change too heavily from their normal, non-magical size. They typically fight heavily magically enhanced strength to punch or kick their opponents. Most Pretty Cures can also throw magical energy around in the form of beams, blasts and similar projections. Most Precures like to cry out the name of all their attacks as they employ them.

Origin Default Powers

All Pretty Cure regardless of specific subtheme have the following powers unless otherwise stated.

Henshin Armor: Transformed Pretty Cures have the same innate resistance to damage and injury most mahoujin get.

Melee Combat Prowess: Transformed Pretty Cures all have vastly increased strength and agility, and in addition know hand-to-hand combat on an innate level (think Neo's 'I know kung fu; - in henshin, most Pretty Cure are incredibly capable martial combatants). This only extends to hand-to-hand combat and any weapons they can personally summon, and they retain none of these extra capabilities outside of henshin (though they may be capable martial artists/archers/etc out of henshin as civilians, those who aren't don't keep the ability.)
